Excellent location and magnificent rooms

the architectural decor with the harmony from building to building make the wow effect, then the urban tile if I can use this expression limit the area, we know when we got at the Places des Festivals it's obvious something really different is happening here. Yeahs so the tile make the place look solid able to carry on masses of people coming to see all summer Star after Star. Amusement everywhere. But for me it was the happiness of the other people around and the design of the site.

I was walking in the metro then I saw 10 men wearing ski hoods taxing tramps for timbits I don't know how this is possible in such a classy place raise thank you have a good day my dear fellow Quebecers (long live free Quebec)

One of the most beautiful performance venues in Montreal

It is THE place of culture in our city. We try to go as often as possible, through past 25 years of my experience this stage has seen everything from Jesus Christ Superstar, Cesaria Evora, Nick Cave, Mozart's Magic Flute to Dirty Dancing the musical or the latest marvelous Amadeus movie with live orchestra. Ticket prices could be quite high, but that's not unexpected. Wish they had more membership options outside of the opera. Following the footsteps of the Broadway you can now bring drinks to your seats, which makes the experience more enjoyable and doesn't force patrons chug champagne after the 3rd bell. The decor is getting dated, bathroom and bar lines are still an issue.

The Montreal symphony orchestra performing the music and opera from the movie Amadeus projected on a large screen revealed why they are one of the finest in the world. The orchestra continued the music throughout the movie's credits and was met with a standing ovation with the conductor returning to the stage four times. I loved the format and can't wait to see Walt Disney's Fantasia!

I attended a standup comedy event in place des arts and it was well organized and well managed specially in a big crowd! The venue is super clean and tidy as well

Attended for the “Amadeus live” show, the only comment I have is that the ladies restroom has capacity for 4 people at a time. You can imagine the queue during the intermission.

The room itself is well equipped for shows, but it is difficult to access. In my opinion, a venue like that should be out of town. 1 hour to cross a single street leading to parking is far too long.

One of my favorite places to go see a show in Montreal. Easy access by car (underground parking) or by metro (Place des Arts station), large rooms with comfortable seats, several good restaurants nearby (inside or on the other side of Ste-Catherine Street).

Great for shopping and city tour.

Main issue for persons with limited mobility or elderly is there are only escalators when going up to upper levels but only stairs to go back down.

Great sound in the hall of the Maison symphonique at Place des Arts, I was able to really enjoy my show. More padded seats would be greatly appreciated. The PARAPAPAM 2024 3 editions show was excellent.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not purchase a gift certificate from this location. This is the stupidest system ever designed. The gift certificate cannot even be used online. Here's the nonsense, taken directly from their website: "Purchase tickets by phone or online with your credit card. Then, before or on the evening of your show, go to the box office with your gift certificate, as well as the credit card used to purchase, and we will refund the value of it." What genius could have thought of such a system in 2024?!?!

The ticket recovery system is truly absurd. Instead of simply sending a PDF that you can download on the phone like all transport companies (plane tickets) do, which is then very simple once downloaded, the Place des Arts system requires you to have a Google wallet . For what? I just paid for the tickets and I want to have them...even worse, I need my ticket for parking. I don't know who the genius was who did this, but this is the last time I'll come to the Place des Arts. scammers.

Build up of traffic, then they don't let you in after you rush in. 200$ and they won't let me see the show i paid for because "I'm late" which I'd because of lack of traffic organization. Yes I also paid for traffic tickets. Ruined our lovely day

A disappointing experience at the Place des Arts ticket office. I used a $75 gift card I received two years ago. The gift card payment system is unusual: you must first pay the total amount of the tickets, then Place des Arts reimburses the value of the gift card. So I paid $150 for two tickets, and they had to reimburse me $75 (from my gift card). Unfortunately, an error occurred: the refund was sent to the person who gave me the gift card (two years ago and with whom I no longer have contact). So I found myself without my $75, and I was informed that no solution was possible. No manager was on site to resolve the problem, which left me with no response and no refund. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it is difficult to accept losing this amount without compensation. Of course, I was refunded the $150 I had advanced, but I lost my gift and I received nothing in return (neither access to a show, nor any other form of compensation). I believe that better management and appropriate solutions, such as the presence of a manager or alternatives in the event of an error, should be put in place to prevent other customers from finding themselves in this unfair situation.

Always nice to go to Place des Arts. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, underground parking and near the metro station. We went to see the play "The First Name", a very very good play with very good actors/actresses.

I go to Place des Arts multiple times a year to see touring Broadway shows. Besides musicals, they have a wide variety of performances so that people of all ages and interests can find something they like. Every experience I've had at this venue has been superb. It is always clean, the staff are helpful and I always have a great time.

Beautiful concert hall and a great cultural venue (we attended a concert with a film), but a lot of hustle and bustle and always a lot of people. A bit confusing.

Without any doubt the best place for a concert. Makes any venue sound magical.

The Place des Arts is an entire complex dedicated to visual and performing arts. Three great cultural organizations make their home here. Place-des-Arts is a beautiful art venue nested in the middle of Montreal and a great spot to hang out as there is always something to see, do, or hear in there. It is the largest cultural and artistic complex in Canada. Place-des-Arts is Montreal's central entertainment complex. This fun entertainment area hosts many concerts, plays, festivals, parties, and many other events (Opera, theatre, or Broadway musicals).

Not only did we have to spend 5 hours on the phone between Ticketmaster and the venue because our tickets disappeared, we arrived at the venue to find NO PARKING WHAT SO EVER. We just wasted $200 and two tanks of gas to get to Montreal. A complete waste.

Here's where you can est a bunch of stuff some different awesome restaurent and drink nice beers and wine. It's not you tipical food court but very enjoyable. It can be quite pricey and at the end it's the best place to eat before a show

We attended a young French singers artists show featuring less known songs and we really enjoyed the evening; it’s a great program to support Canadian young musicians and singers, young talents.
