This was my first visit to the Park Gate Inn but it certainly won't be my last . I booked a table online which was very easy. On arrival our party of three was shown to our table as soon as we arrived . The Inn has a lovely atmosphere The waitress came to take our drinks order very quickly and was very welcoming . The menu was varied and two of us selected the haddock fishcakes with new potatoes brocoli and spinach . We didnt have to wait very long for our meals to be served. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious. My sister had the bacon chop with fried egg, chips ,peas and pineapple . I had to sample her chop and it was lovely . Of course we had to have pudding . We each choose something different and they were all lovely . I would recommend any of the choices . Throughout our visit the waitress returned to our table several times to make sure that we were happy with our meals . In conclusion the food was amazing, the service was excellent and we are already planning our next visit .

Plenty of parking here at this large pub. The decor and furnishings are rustic and welcoming. We were a large group but efficiently catered to by our lovely , patient server. We had a lovely evening despite fridge issues causing several menu items to be unavailable.

We had a lovely lunch on tue 4th lamb and prawn skewers were excellent .staff attentive and not to pushy .prices reasonable .menu is what you would expect from a full blown restaurant .and not a pub /restaurant .loads of choices to choose from .we will be returning very soon .

Took my mother in law out for lunch for her birthday but it was also the 3rd Gotcha day for our dog so didn’t want to leave her out. Chose the Park Gate as stated they were dog friendly. Wow were they, she even got a choice of sausages or burgers. Very happy dog and so therefore a very happy us. Lovely food very friendly staff thanks guys

there's an excellent atmosphere and extremely good food which was presented nicely and cooked thoroughly. we were a party of 8 and we all had something different, I had the seabass which was very tasty, some had chicken parmigiana, burger, ploughman's, steak and lamb rump plus dessert . The whole meal was delicious and we will definitely go back. The staff were attentive but not in your face all the time. car park is next door and is slightly sloping. Two entrances one with steps going down but other one is flat.

Great service by Jane, very friendly quick and amazing food will definitely come back. Ask for more gravy though as it needs a bit more and it’s delicious

Lovely food and excellent service. We had not booked but were seated and served with drinks quickly. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Pizza was good and so was the bream. We would definitely return.

The food was good, wouldn’t say it was excellent but still tasted great and believe you got what you paid for. The drinks were lovely, staff were great and very helpful, super friendly and could answer any questions. Atmosphere was nice. Would recommend after a round of golf at Leeds castle or just out for an occasional meal.

This resturant was recommended by friends but the food did not live up to the recommendations. The chicken dish was hard, and chips cold. The chicken skewer was dry but the fish and chips were good. I wouldn't return.

Thankyou Park Gate Inn for such a lovely Sunday stop off for myself, husband and daughter. Rebecca served us from start to finish her friendly, chatty service just made us feel like our first family meal out of lockdown was actually a special treat! The kids meals are fantastic value, burgers are big and juicy and I thoroughly enjoyed my sumptuous pork belly roast. Great atmosphere here inside and out. Just around the corner from Leeds Castle, I'd recommend booking it for any family or anyone that loves a great, family pub once more.

This restaurant is a real favourite of ours ! We have been here several times during 2020 taking new friends each time. The food and service are both superb - the staff are very personable and their safety precautions during the Covid 19 pandemic have enabled us to feel confident regarding eating out. The venue is very attractive and the gardens pleasant. .... definitely worth a visit!

Went here for dinner as the menu looked more exciting than the restaurant in Leeds Castle where we were staying. I was looking forward to it and I was not disappointed. The starters, slat and pepper squid and a duo of pate were delicious and well put together with some excellent sauces. The mains were also delightful, the Lamb Rump was succulent albeit a touch fatty, but it was delicious. The slow cooked Beef bourguignon was simply stunning, melt in the mouth, succulent, incredibly tasty with a wonderfully delicate fresh herb dumpling, it was the best I had ever tasted. The wine selection is very good and incredibly reasonably priced. well worth a visit, staff were very attentive and relaxed. Very COVID secure.

What an absolutely delightful place for a dinner.Obviously Covid is restricting numbers.Stuart and his fabulous team have taken it all in their stride. On entering there is hand sanitizers and a one way system.All staff wear masks and handle all plates glasses and cutlery as little as possible. The tables are spaced well and not all being used to ensure social distancing. The place including the toilets was spotless. This little gem of a place is doing all it can to keep its customers safe.The service was perfect. Not too in your face but not slow and the staff were extremely helpful with advice and suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble.The food was exceptional, full of flavour, hot and served by happy staff. The atmosphere was relaxed.My partner and I popped in here quite last minute but will absolutely be coming back.We were made to feel very welcome. All the staff seemed happy and content. The food was great and drink selection catered for every taste.Great place to go for a chilled pub meal and would definitely recommend it.

We drove past this Pub/Restaurant on the way back from somewhere and decided we would give it a try. So glad we did. The food was exceptional, the best meal out we have had this year! The Staff were all very polite and looked very smart. The only criticism was that the service was a little slow but once the food arrived it was definitely worth the wait. We will definitely be back.

We are regular customers to the Park Gate, about once a month.The food is always full of flavour with good portion sizes.The menu is varied with a good selection choice, however as a regular visitor perhaps this needs some alteration.

Ordered the brisket, after a while of waiting we was informed they didn’t have it and was offered a hot beef alternative. The beef was not hot and as dry as cardboard. I made a chip sandwich out of what I had instead... chips were overcooked too. The restaurant was cold and the woman behind the bar was quite rude. We came to the bar to pay as we were left for ages, but we felt more of an inconvenience rather than a guest in the restaurant. It’s safe to say we won’t be coming back and the woman behind the bar needs some customer service training. No pandemic can be to blame for this car crash and bad attitude. We called by and where able to book a table for later that evening, we arrived and where made most welcome we found at arrival all the Covid requirements in place, sanitiser, social distancing we where then taken to our table again taking into account Social distancing, all drinks and food where ordered, and brought directly to the table.The food and the service was really good, in a very comfortable environment, nothing was too much trouble.Thanks for a most enjoyable evening

Yes I know I’ve written a review before but good food and service deserve to be noted. My wife and I booked a table on Tuesday evening after lovely game of golf. I hadn’t had the pork belly and chive mash before and thought I’d give it a go. I wasn’t disappointed as the pork was really tender and the chive mask was perfect. The gravy was served in a small separate jug and an apple sorbet served in a small dish. The whole dish works so well and the sorbet is such a great idea and tastes amazing. My wife had the lasagne and it was equally impressive service with a really light garlic flatbread and chips. The service was excellent and it was also comforting to see the thorough Covid Cleaning procedures in action when diners left.10 out of 10 again thank you

Ate here whilst staying overnight at Leeds Castle, which was only 10 mins away on foot via the footpath over the golf course. Food was typical of the chain, and service was great. We overheard the waiter asking other tables if they had a voucher do quickly looked online and obtained a 50% off code. Bargain!

Just down the road from us, we’ve never visited this place...pleasantly surprised! Great food, great service...lovely comfortable space...would recommend to anyone! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We came in on Saturday after passing a couple of times and decided to have some food and drinks, the service is a 10/10 and the food 10/10 too, my stepdad even said that the house burger he had was the best burger he’s ever eaten. Will be back for sure.

My partner and I decided to have a little date night after not eating out for months. We found out about The Park Gate Inn, and was pleasantly impressed. We were welcomed politely on arrival and seated immediately and offered drinks. The service was very quick, efficient and the waitresses/waitors were incredibly attentive & helpful. The food was presented beautifully, cooked spot on and tasted delightful. Great variety on the menu with plenty to choose from for all age groups. Beautiful place in a nice location, with friendly local people. Compliments to the chef(s) & Staff. Will definitely recommend and attend again soon. Much appreciated guys

We walked in on a Lovely Friday evening after golf, we hadn't booked, the staff were welcoming and found us a table inside, had a nice cold prosecco and husband a beer with fish and chips, tables are spaced nicely apart, lots of sanitizer around, welcoming staff, Kelly served us a friendly welcome, would highly recommend, felt very safe.

It's been our first visit with the family in Park Gate Inn and we'll definitely come back. Good looking place, tasty food, big portions, reasonable prices and great service provided by waitress Trisha. Highly recommend.

Our party of 6 ate at the Park Gate last night and the food was excellent. I had the beef bourguignon and it was the best I’ve had. The beef was so tender and just fell apart. Everybody had a Positive comment about their meal and it was topped off by the excellent service from the staff and great new refurbishment.I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

Just visited for the first time since lockdown, so a little nervous as to how everything would work. Need not have worried as everything was excellent. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve had. The service was prompt & we couldn’t fault a thing. Will definitely be making a return visit.

First meal out since lockdown restrictions eased. Great organisation by the Park Gate staff to ensure everyone kept safe & comfortable whilst still maintaining the excellent standards for food and service this inn is renowned for. Well done all at the Park Gate!

My family and I are regular Sunday Lunchers. We were in the area Sunday just gone and googled local pubs/restaurants. The Park Gate had some good reviews and photos looked lovely so we went along on a whim and managed to get a table for 4. From the moment we stepped through the door the service and atmosphere was fantastic. There was a good selection of beers, wines and soft drinks for the kids. We opted to order 3 Sunday Lunches with the kids sharing one as we had read the portions were generous.... Generous being precisely what it was and the Sunday lunch was perfect. Lots of food, lots of taste and plenty of meat which is sometimes the issue we find elsewhere. There was plenty to go around and again the service was superb. This place is a little diamond and we will definitely be returning to try the general menu at some point in the near future. The manager should be proud of this excellent pub and the Sunday Lunch is a must for anyone...

Went for dinner a couple of weeks ago on Valentines night and had a great meal.Both chose from the set menu for the night and couldn't fault the service or atmosphere.Had a couple of issues come bill time when the bill had grown by 25 quid but this was sorted out by the manager after a couple of chats.In all worth a visit.

Went for Sunday lunch today. Pls don’t bother, don’t waste your money. They think it’s acceptable to serve 3 very VERY small slices of turkey for an adult roast dinner. It amounted to 1 slice!!!!!! I have been to other places where you get half a roast chicken!!!!! The “roast” pots were more like boiled, not crispy and they tasted like they have been reheated, that microwave taste, stale and dry tasting. There was also meant to be stuffing and it wasn’t served! The food had no flavour, no taste to it. It was very bland. And to top it off, they served my sons veg sticks in a dirty bowl that the previous person had some sauce or mayonnaise in! In a nutshell it may look pretty but the food certainly doesn’t live up, the chefs are inexperienced and the hygiene procedures are questionable!

Our first visit to the park gate Inn and it won't be our last. The pub and restaurant had a great atmosphere and ambience. The food is of an excellent standard at a fair price. The final piece of the jigsaw at this excellent eatery is the amazing service. Thanks for making our Sunday lunch perfect and a lovely venue or a get together with family and friends. I would highly recommend a visit.

The Park Gate is the place to go. It's warm and welcoming,clean and tidy. Even better since they had a makeover in November.The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. Very tasty and reasonably priced.We both had the Sunday roast (yorkshires are the best),then marmalade bread and butter pudding and creme brulee. Going back on Valentine's day for a 3 course set meal which is only £23.99.

From the moment we walked in there was friendly welcome and nothing but good customer service. We were an hour early for our reservation but nothing was too much bother. Starter and main course were both excellent and we even had a mini pudding and coffee (a first for me but a superb sales job).Would thoroughly recommend this Pub. Superb evening.

went there with my in-laws for a Saturday evening meal. Food was OK for some and not so OK for others. My belly pork with black pudding mash was delicious, just a shame I broke part of my tooth on the very crispy crackling! My wife did not eat her salmon as she thought it had a weird taste and was overcooked.The waiter was very efficient to start with, but the 3 x desserts (2 x cheesecakes and an ice cream) took around 20 minutes to come and then he forgot the ice cream!overall it was a pleasant evening in pleasant surroundings

Reading the mixed reviews and never been here before was a little perturbed . But the staff were workng as a team under the guidance and direction of the admirable STEWART/STUART . A true professional of the highest order . A true leader and asset to the company ,( bet he will be head hunted soon ). Ordered drinks for the 4 of us , and spotted Pravha on tap . I always sample an unknown beer but Mr S stated it was first class and it was too . Flat breads arrived some what singed but ok . The Gammon & Chips ,good taste, well cooked but portion size could be better . The same for the mini Duo Of Lamb. Yet again for the Biscuit Cheese cake with Blueberry sauce . Good clean atmosphere and décor , toilets clean .Steep steps down into bar . Large car park , take a torch , very dark due to the control of light pollution of the nearby Leeds Castle . So do the Castle then dine here for a good day out . We shall return . Definitely book in advance too .

We organised a family lunch for our family and we really enjoyed av relaxed and enjoyable visit.Our table for eight was ready on arrival and we were warmly greeted by Charlotte who looked after us during the afternoon, a brilliant member of the team.Plenty of choice on the menu that catered for all of us and we were impressed that the food was of excellent quality,quantity and presentation ( compliments to the chefs)We did not have to wait too long for the food to be served.We are looking forward to a return visit very soon,

Had a good lunchtime meal here, I had the burger with pulled pork was really tasty. Wife had the pork belly which was good beautifully. Not to bad price wise and good location if travelling to Leeds Castle which is a few mins from here. Would recommend a visit, had a lovely open log fire and was looking very well after a refurb.

Looks lovely when you walk in. A great refurb but that’s where it ends. £12.95 for a vegan burger with no chips! Just a small lonely looking burger, lost on the plate. As someone else has commented, I would be embarrassed to serve that up. We asked where the rest of the meal was and were told that Apparently they have no facilities for vegan chips so take them off the dish, if you say you’re vegetarian you get chips and all the trimmings (whatever they are) but if you’re vegan they charge you as if you’ve had them and offer no substitute. Very odd. You need to sort this out. Also there is a vegan menu but it’s hidden away so unless you predict they will have a vegan menu and ask for it you won’t see it as it’s not on the bar with the other menus! Came away feeling totally ripped off!

This is the second time our Morris side has been here for our post Christmas party . Again , what amazing service and food . They were so accommodating with whatever we wanted , one of our group has serious allergy problems , and they bent over backwards to make sure she had a lovely meal , nothing was to much trouble . There were 23 of us , all having starters and mains , everything came out on time and there was not one person who was disappointed with their food . Our server , Chris was amazing , running around getting drinks and making sure we all had a good time . Well done guys . Don’t miss this gem of a hostelry , the interior is that of an old country pub with fire burning and lovely furniture , plenty to choose from the menu at good prices . We are looking forward to visiting again soon , also will definitely be booking our 2021 post Christmas party here x

We came here whilst staying at Leeds Castle. It has the style of an old fashioned pub, well kept & cared for. A very nice warm & inviting layout with plenty of atmosphere. A wide selection of drinks available. Very friendly & helpful staff, very engaging. A wide range of foods available on the menu, we chose a light lunch sandwich which was well presented & cooked. Well worth stopping at if you are in the area.

We came here before In November and the food was exceptional - today however our visit was extremely disappointing from the food to the service or lack of it.

Living local to the Park Gate, l have see the owners come and go. The new owners and after major refurbishment were extremely friendly and welcoming. I personal felt the portion sizes were good, and the quality superseded the prices. Its also good to find a good established local pub which is dog friendly. I definitely will be recommending the Park Gate to family and friends, and look forward to visiting the pub again very soon.

Visited the Park Gate Inn on Christmas Eve with an average sized party. We had pre-booked and paid a deposit. The place has recently been refurbished and looks and feels really cosy. We chose to come here for our Xmas Dinner based on previous visits and the lovely service we had received. The restaurant was very busy and the service team seemed stretched this visit. We waited a long time for drinks to be served after we sat down. Around 15-20mins. Dinner took much longer. We were booked in for 7pm and dinner eventually came at 9.30pm. The main issue was the lack of choice we had. Many of the main dinner choices were off the menu as well as the starters. This just isn’t good enough. Not for Christmas time. I don’t want to hear as a customer that their supplies are being delivered then next day. I want to order what’s on offer in the menu when I visit.

The place feels warm and cosy, me and my family were lucky enough to sit by the fire.The staff were fantastic and welcoming, the food was amazing, they had live music to.The night was brillant and we will defiantly be back again.Well recommended!!

Had Christmas Day lunch here and it was very enjoyable. Nice layout and decoration, friendly helpful staff and tasty food. Portions were generous. I will go back for another meal.

Visited the Park Gate Inn to take advantage of the festive lunch menu. This is the first time I have visited the Park Gate since the refurbishment and I have to say that the pub looks much better for it. Although the layout of the pub has changed slightly it hasn't lost its traditional appeal with wooden beams and log fires still in place. I found the staff very welcoming and efficient with consistently good service being delivered during our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our food which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. My only criticism is the portion sizes. For the price we paid, I would expect slightly bigger portion sizes and this is the only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating. Overall, I would definitely return.

Well I don’t know what to say that other then the decorating changing we hoped the food and the service would change.... we were very wrong. The starter was very over priced for the money, small portions size. The main roast dinner came out stone cold and the potatoes were like bullets. We sent the food back and then 3 of the party waited for fresh meals. We complained to the manager and we got the meal free but they must be making no money as the food was still so poor. We went out for a family meal to celebrate our engagement and we where very disappointed.we thought the food and the service would improved but we were so wrong. We won’t be returning again

I haven’t been here for ages as the food used to be So bad but having heard the place was under management I was quite keen to return to the family went for a meal to celebrate my daughters engagement.

We haven’t visited Pargate for a few years as we heard it had gone down hill so when friends suggested we meet there for lunch we was very sceptical but we can honestly say we had a lovely meal the restaurant was very warm & welcoming & busy but our order was taken promptly when we sat down our drinks were served quickly & a little wait for mains but not too long & well worth waiting for I had the salmon & it was delicious we all very much enjoyed our meals we also had desserts which was served promptly & equally delicious we were not rushed & the waitress was very efficient & polite considering she was very busy we will definitely return & totally recommend the Parkgate

We were staying a local travel inn and arrived 7pm, was recommended to try here by the receptionist as one of the closet pubs.

That was excellent! Decided to try this local pub. Three of us ate different dishes from their weekday menu, they were short staffed, but our order was taken in good time, and it arrived just before it took too long. The food was delicious. I had a sirloin steak that was wonderful; one of the best I’ve had. Would recommend this venue to anyone.

We went fro a meal with family and friends on Saturday, the pub looks great after the refurb. Despite the pub being full the staff working were friendly, attentive and polite. The new menu was great, once we ordered the food arrived quickly, it was hot and the quality was excellent. Would definitely some again for drinks and food.

6 of us attended for our quarterly meal .If possible we pick a different restaurant / pub each time This was a good choice with a good menu along with good service . Looks like a good refurbishment with great open fires .Thanks Chris and all staff.

We visited the Park Gate Inn for a Friday evening meal with some friends. We have used this restaurant before (and indeed submitted review in July 2014) but this is the first time we have visited for a number of years. The restaurant is easy to find being located on the A20 not far from the M20 junction 8 turn off for Lenham and there is ample (free) car parking available here for patrons. We had pre booked a table and the restaurant was reasonably busy at the time of our visit though it appeared that some tables remained free.

I was there with a party of 6. We all had different meals, starters, main courses and desserts. They were all enjoyable. Everybody was happy. The food quality was excellent and the service very attentive and prompt.

Lovely looking pub inside and out lots of parking very good disabled access, We were first sitting at 12 on this sunday. there was 9 of us eating. We ordered our drinks separately, we all looked at the menu which was a good variety, from here on its goes down hill a little, 5 of us ordered the Lamb shank only to be told they only had two, which disappointed and surprised us as we where the first sitting, so I had the beef rump instead, the meals were served in good time and the meal was tasty but a number of us did mention that some of the vegetables like the roast potatoes and the parsnips were hard to cut and I noticed my elderly mother in law struggle to cut her food up. The YorKshire pudding was large and tasteless I really cant understand why they serve these large yorkshires when a couple of the small ones are much tastier and better, 3 0f us ordered desert and this is where they really let themselves down we must of waited 30 minutes after ordering, the order was custard on its own, apple crumble and custard and I had 3 scoop ice cream, we asked if there was a problem (we think was the owner) said sorry a rush of orders, when I got my ice cream it had already started melting with a pool of runny ice cream collecting on the bottom of the dish, so looks as though mine had been sitting in the Kitchen. I think they must of been slightly short of staff as the gentleman who I think was owner was doing a lot, Plus side it was not that expensive which given the quality and services was possibly for the best, not sure I would be in rush to return. The gentleman did say however that they will be shut for a few weeks for and extension that is being built and there will be changes in the menu.

Loved this place. Dropped in after a trip to Leeds Castle, and so glad we did. Tiled floors, oak beams, crooked ceilings, pleasant staff, relaxed atmosphere, comfortable leather chairs and a gently crackling fire. Great food, and fantastic value. I only wish we lived nearer!

Eighteen of us enjoyed lunch here today. We had a variety of different food which all seemed to be enjoyed. The staff were friendly and attentive. At the end of the meal our bills were efficiently sorted. I will be happy to return

The food here is largely bought in from a central supplier so the staff were unable to confirm the actual contents of the meal I wanted. The meal I ordered instead was perfectly edible and tasty, but it was a pity no one, including the chef, was prepared to say whether the seafood risotto contained mussels or not. That said, the staff were all very friendly and chatty.

We chose The Park Gate Inn for our family get together. There were 12 of us for a three course Sunday lunch. Our waitress, Catherine was amazing, and our food was delicious. My lamb shank was beautifully cooked and fell off the bone. My whole family enjoyed their food and were impressed with the service.

My mum and I visited this pub yesterday, to be fair we were quite early for our table which we had booked, understand Sunday is going to be a busy time however they had crammed everyone into this one tiny room even though there was a completely empty room that could of been used as well. We were originally going to be seated was a two persons table that was squashed next to this huge family when we asked could we move to another table they did find us another table (after a lot of huffing and puffing I felt !) Which was still next to a huge family!, as I say I wouldnt of minded If every table was full but there were loads of empty tables which said they were booked but my mum and I were there for maybe an hour and half ? None of them were used . Also they had ran out of food as well which is silly they must of known Leeds castle had a special weekend so the pub would of been busy so why on earth didnt they order more ?. I'm not blaming the wait staff as they were pleasant but the management team I felt really didnt care about service, no smile, it felt like we were bothering them. Will not return.

We did arrive on spec in fairness however despite the sign outside saying Stuart and his team welcome you, nothing could have been further from the truth. The plajce was half empty. It took ten minutes standing in the doorway for someone to ask if they could help. Understaffed. We were 5 adults and 3 children. First they said it would be 20 minutes waiting to be seated... then they said actually it would be an hour and a half! One got the impression that at 7pm on a Sunday night they could not be bothered. So my 80 year old Mum with mobility issues had to struggle back up the tricky stairs stairs again back to the car park. Left with the feeling they were cold self serving individuals not interested at all in providing a nice end to a family day out at Leeds castle which was just great. If you are staying at Leeds Castle please try the Park Gate Inn. This is a very cozy and relaxing restaurant. Great food and service. Sticky toffee pudding.

Was it just the mood I was in when my wife and I visited on Wednesday 4 September 'cause after previous OK visits we found the overall atmosphere to be less than welcoming. Not many there (nor staff) so no problem finding a table but for the one we chose there was no table service - we had to go to the bar for that. The service was rather slow and the food was pretty average incl my wife's Vegan one. The waitress came to clean a nearby table and it would have been good if she had checked on us but she didn't. Price was as expected but I doubt if we will return - not a good experience, we were dissapointed.

Went here for lunch with an old friend today ... it was a half way house for us ... and so glad we chose it as it was excellent! Such a friendly welcome and friendliness throughout the service ... table service which was great as so many now want you to order from the bar. Lovely food and lots of choice and very well presented. The pub itself is amazing ... very olde worlde. 16th century I believe ... lots of beams and nooks and crannies ... both of us from different areas of Kent were very impressed and will return !

Driving home from a weekend break on the Kent coast, we needed a place to stop and eat. We found this place on the Maps app looking for places to eat nearby.... and what a perfect find... the staff were were super friendly and welcoming and the food was just gorgeous. Between us we had the Sunday roast turkey, the pie, the steak and the risotto. Every dish was absolutely delicious and the drinks menu was extensive. This is a big pub with lots of different areas to eat. As we had a dog, we stayed in the bar area, but there were so many other spaces available to eat and drink. We were very impressed with everything about this establishment, and will definitely return. It’s not easy finding places to eat with a dog, but we were made to feel so welcome and our dog enjoyed the fuss and attention he was offered by the lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Had an evening meal here and a drink. The food was absolutely delicious and lots of. Stuart was very friendly and very helpful. This place is very comfy with a great atmosphere with both bar and restaurant food. Will definitely recommend

Booked a table here as a birthday follow on from nearby Go Ape. Have to say, from the moment we walked in to a warm welcome, we were very impressed. Friendly efficient service, great menu selection and delicious food at very good prices. Ordered 4 roasts and two children's meals and couldn't fault it. The lady serving us couldn't have been more helpful and the drink and food arrived hot and quickly. Really nice atmosphere and we all had a lovely time in cosy surroundings. Just wished we lived nearly so could visit more frequently. Thanks to all staff, would highly recommend this little jewel.

Had a lovely sunday dinner here with extra cauliflower cheese thoroughly enjoyed we had 2 chicken roasts & 2 beef all hot good service definitely be going back

Pleasant evening meal from limited menu choices. Was quite busy but was peak time staff was coping brilliantly taking orders & serving food. Food portions ok. Tip for AA members .you can get a discount code for food monday-friday. 20% off.

My boyfriend and I ate at this pub last night and ordered the wagu burger, expecting it to be good quality meat however when it arrived there was more bun then meat!! Considering you pay £15 for the burger and have to pay extra for the toppings is ridiculous! We had to pay £1 extra for jalapeños (only 3 were added) , £1 extra for cheese (could hardly taste it) and £1 extra for bacon ( 1 tiny strip)! Hardly any chips and the salad was minimal.

We took our friends, who travelled from Hampshire this morning, to the Park Gate Inn near Leeds Castle in Kent for lunch today. Excellent service and excellent food, a very good choice on the menu and something for everyone. We have visited several times in the past and will certainly visit again.

Stopped for a quick drink and found the staff very friendly and the beer was ice cold. Nice pub and has a good menu

What a beautiful pub. The food was excellent, the service was really good and it's in beautiful surroundings. The sweet potato chips were delicious and the sample dessert platter was excellent and really good value for money. The pub itself is really quaint and really well maintained.

Eating here was a fabulous experience. The staff were friendly and very professional. The food was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable. I fully recommend the dessert platter. Will definitely come here again.

A very good location and normally good food but not on this day.. Very quiet in and outside of pub, but was told as they had a large order just gone into the kitchen, we may have to wait ages for the food. We looked around and could only see one table of six people! We left ! and I will be ignoring all the adverts for the father's day lunch here as I don't think they would manage with a full pub and food as well. Two stars as they did tell us we would be waiting for ages.

I met a friend here for supper on 1st May.

The inn is situated on the A20 near Maidstone Kent next to Leeds castle. From the M20 take the Maidstone services exit and follow signs for the castle and Ashford. At the third roundabout take the second exit A20.the pub is up the hill on the right. Into a lzrge car park. On summer days you can eat out in the garden T the back, but be aware you are close to the M20 motorways to Dover and to high speed one railway to the channel tunnel. However inside is quite and cosy.

Visited for Lunch to celebrate a Birthday, nice traditional Pub setting with a varied menu. Ordered starters but were very slow in arriving, same with the main courses. Food was average with the fish dishes (Cod & Bass Fillets) overcooked, mixed grill was also overcooked. Final desert (Lemon Meringue) was still frozen, could not be bothered to complain by this stage as would of taken ages to get another. We would not visit again as there are many other pubs / restaurants in the immediate area that offer better food with great service.

We visited there on Thursday 2nd May with our dog. Dogs are allowed in the bar and garden. In the garden the dogs are provided with water. All the tables in the bar were occupied by people with dogs so we said we would sit outside (even though it was cold & windy) but they said we could sit in the conservatory - that was most welcome. Thank you to all the staff. We had a lovely late lunch - it was quite late when we arrived there.

Came across the cosy pub while out with cousins. Lovely atmosphere, good beer and great food. Add to that the very friendly staff this was a great find. I would recommend this pub.

Delicious steak and ale pie (no gristle), nice selection for main choices on the menu. Good and varied selection of desserts.

Went in for a beer before playing golf next door. Had to wait 5 minutes before someone turned up at the bar. The service was good and I sat and watched as there was only two staff serving meals and covering the bar. They could do with 3 staff over the lunch period.

The food isn’t of a very good standard and quite expensive, wish we’d travelled a bit further down the road to one of the bigger chains.

Decided to have a meal here after stopping off to have a drink in the afternoon. Menu varied with lots of choice, I had the sea bass and my husband had the steak. We both enjoyed our meals and felt very welcome by the staff. Definitely worth a visit.
