Great place, service and good choice on offer: quite a few plant based options. We liked the booths made out of repurposed carpentry. It was very popular with families and dog owners hence quite noisy so not somewhere for a relaxed/quiet pitstop. Better than your average country park cafe.

Used the takeaway section round the corner from the main cafe there, ordered cappuccino and a sausage sandwich which comes with sauce and onions if required, very tasty but probably expensive for some at £5.95.There is a good selection of cakes, slices and other savoury food and drinks, nice for after a walk round the woods there

My wife and I stopped by for a pot of tea and a cup of coffee, which were OK, and of course priced to reflect the lack of local competition. We were told where to sit - a six-seat booth - which unfortunately left us nowhere to stow our 3-month-old's pushchair but in the aisle. Received some pretty dirty looks from staff because of this, and were asked to move the pushchair - but given no suggestion as to where. Ended up piling the chairs into a heap to make space. Felt uncomfortable, and drank up and left asap. Asked a member of staff whether there were any baby changing facilities - but didn't know! Pretty odd as there were at least half a dozen babies and toddlers in the cafe at the time, and it seems to be popular with young families. Turned out there were facilities outside the main entrance, but they were filthy. I'd like to apologise to the establishment and staff for being such an imposition by bringing our baby, and we'll be sure not to bring him again. Edit: three years later, and looking for somewhere to stop off for a quick bite when visiting the area again, I stumble across my own review and am reminded to look elsewhere.

The cafe is a family (and dog) friendly restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating in close proximity to the Worcester Woods. Been a few years since i last went in the café and it has changed a bit. Now seems to be more a restaurant with wait staff and being shown to tables. However the coffee and cakes we had were good. The acoustics made it noisy due to high ceiling? as it was very busy. Dog friendly which as on a favoured dog walking area is all to the good for us.

Worst hot choc ever. Watery with 10 diddy marshmallows. Cake was great hence two star, but my pet hate is hot choc made with water. Water hot choc says 4 scoops, I reckon there was 1 scoop as I could taste the water more than the chocolate. Very disappointed. Why oh why serve hot water chocolate, I’d pay £1-2 for this at a bonfire night, not at an establishment. Milk please and correct measure of chocolate- it’s not that hard to make a decent hot choc, they haven’t got a clue!

My wife and I visited on 21 October and were given a table close to the entrance we both ordered a sandwich which we were enjoying until 3 people came in (all together) with FOUR large dogs which in my opinion constituted a trip hazard. After a few minutes one of the dogs was sick on the floor which obviously put us off our food the dogs were then taken outside by one of the party to wait for the other people. One of the group cleaned up the mess but the place then smelled of disinfectant. We are not anti dogs but there is sufficient room outside to sit with so many animals and it was not raining. We soon left and will not be returning I wish now I had refused to pay the bill but we were so keen to get out. The owners certainly didn't consider anyone else or the health and safety side of the situation all too common today I am afraid. The waiting staff were understandably embarrassed by the situation. The worst dining experience ever. As a group of 9 we were asked to pre order, we were then told they didn’t have all that was ordered. They forgot one of the meals, then informed us that they didn’t have it… the waitress didn’t even check that we had the correct number of meals. The 2 x pizza’s were only cooked around the edges and were not edible. After various delays and excuses we accepted a reduction on the bill and all vowed to never return. Hugely disappointing.

Lovely location, and a reasonable choice of fayre. Sadly the system for ordering and then receiving your items is floored, because often the announcement of your order being ready is often so quiet it goes unheard. Then coffee can be left to become tepid before collection. Either speak up and ensure the recipients have heard you or employ a better method. Otherwise I enjoy my visits.

Looking dishevelled. I was outside under cover and there were spilt drinks in several places. No attempt had been made to clear litter or spillage. Worst was the chairs, at some time a very amateurist attempt has been made to weld the seats but, OH DEAR, what a botch ... the weld is broken and the tubing on the chairs has literally been blown away by use of inappropriate welding. These chairs, and I mean these because lots are affected are, dangerous.

1st time visiting today, and was a brilliant experience. The food was fairly priced, quickly delivered and VERY good!! Servers were attentive and polite, place was clean and had lovely decor. My only comment would be too much attention on the takeaway window meant we waited slightly longer than I'd have liked for how busy it was for a waiter to take our order. But that's being picky. You can even take your dogs inside which was lovely, and they have a doggy menu!

What a huge disappointment.. Walked in , welcomed and shown to a table. unusual / weird decor..’ plastic/ fake flowers’ and greenery…fresh flowers ..or even dried flowers or grasses might be more appropriate for a cafe at a ‘ Countryside centre’. We both ordered lunch… vege burger with wedges..burger dried out and not really wedges, but a jacket spud cut up …they were huge, and not well cooked. Mushroom, artichoke ciabatta…lacking in filling, bread over baked, one end almost impossible to eat it was so hard. Salad limp and said coleslaw..none provided.. Sadly we were both hugely disappointed and will certainly not be returning for lunch.

Lovely welcome and good levels of service despite it being very busy. We had a table in the corner and felt relaxed throughout. Coffee was pretty good and the cooked breakfast was great. Met with a support group (about 10 people). We usually always sit outside but today was particularly cold. Everyone had already purchased drinks from the hatch and then decided to see if we could get a table inside. We were told we couldn’t bring paper cups (that they themselves had sold us) inside and we all would need to buy new drinks. The place was dead due to the weather so totally unacceptable. The manager didn’t even have the decency to explain himself, he made a young staff member tell us and needless to say he looked very embarrassed. Absolutely shocking behaviour and they need to remember that they are a countryside centre cafe NOT a Michelin starred restaurant!

Found the staff rude and unapproachable today, will not be returning. Even my children were upset by their approach and said they were not friendly. We asked for a takeaway as the hatch was closed and there was a sign left that said the hatch is closed please order inside for takeaway. I went in merrily to order to be met with confrontational staff who said I couldn’t get a takeaway as the hatch was closed even though there was a sign to say come in and order for takeaway. Naturally I was confused by this due to the sign outside and as the cafe used to offer a takeaway service indoors so I couldn’t understand why it was made out to be such a massive deal, like I had done something wrong. I thanked the staff after waiting at a table (which already had someone’s bags and coats on, so I felt uncomfortable waiting there incase anyone came back) the staff did not acknowledge me after I thanked them and there were many by the door and none said goodbye. My little boys were really upset by the whole situation as was I. Maybe we just went on a bad day but I found it upsetting.
