Top burger, great range of beers. Interesting street for visitors and local life

Came earlier in the year with lady friends and knew my husband would love it. Brought him today and yes fantastic proper pub. Great vibe. Lovely friendly bar staff.

Been meaning to eat here for ages. It was fantastic. Thursday nights, it’s £3 pints £8 burgers. Both are incredible. Well kept beer and the burger was superb. Lovely staff and vibe too.

went for open mic, let a 16 year old preform and lots of friends and parents came to support before getting kicked out the moment he had finished for being underage. got IDed for a lemonade with incredibly rude staff when telling group to get out as well as complaining that i wanted my alcoholic drink in a different glass saying ‘it’s just a object it doesn’t matter what glass it is’. absolutely rude 0/10 do NOT recommend. Neither parents or 16s was able to finish drinks as rudely told to leave a second time before we could do so.

Food from smokin brads is 10/10. Drink selection is brilliant. Staff are helpful and really friendly. Great atmosphere and very modern decor. Visit on a Thursday for some incredible deals on food and drink!

Awesome place and has become our regular. As well as having a good selection of regular beers, they have a regular change of others. Lovely friendly staff, and great food.

Such a great place, amazing music, great beer garden, delicious food served til 9pm, veggie and vegan also available, can hire out for functions, staff are lovely especially Ruby (manager?), who looked after us ❤️!

AVOID!! Worst place for food and service. Me and my partner went there in the early evening and ordered some food. We were waiting 30 mins and nothing showed up, I had to ask about the food after 30 mins and the barmaid said it would take an hour for food to be cooked, so another 30 mins had to be waiting while we were starving from the long day. Could have at least told me that before I paid for the food and drinks. It shouldn't take 1 hour to cook some burgers, wings and chips when they're deep fried smh. The worst part is the food tasted dreadful. Who puts chocolate pieces in chicken wings? The onion rings had some weird breaded texture and the burgers tasted average. Staff didn't even apologise or bother to acknowledge me. Also the family sitting next to us were loud and rude, hinting at us that "someone was not happy" and there kids spilt apple juice on the plug socket while it was on causing the room lights downstairs to blackout for a min. I also felt not welcome as we were also the only Asian people in the pub and some rude remarks from that family. This place needs some serious management change and staff training as well as the kitchen staff to be checked along with their terrible menu. I usually don't write reviews but I spent £53 on total garbage!

Had some beer and burgers. Both great tasting. Beer was expensive compared to other craft brewery places.

We have been before (on another long work trip) and decided to grab a takeaway this time (South Wales to Doncaster this time) No regret, 100 times better than the junk you would normally get from a service station! We had bugers, loaded fries and mushroom nuggets. Delicious 😋 thanks to the chaps at smoking brads! Well worth the mini detour

Me & my hubby don’t get out much. Together for a long time married with 2 kids with not much cover so when we do manage it we like to let out her hair down. Yes, he probably had too much to drink but wasn’t causing any bother. But the comment about there being music upstairs if I would like to take ‘my dad’ up there was uncalled for and I was glad to be able to feed back this verbally to the bar man without parting with anymore of our hard earned money. Will take our date night elsewhere next time, the music wasn’t that good anyway ❤️

Pint was great a bit expensive but cool beer selection nonetheless.

Another great place to visit in Worcester. Just on the outskirts of the city but worth going for a drink. Quirky interior, great selection of beers including keg, cask and can and bottles in the fridges.

Really good place to go. Good beer, good food but the excellent music is what sets it aside from other places. Atmosphere is also good.

Great, beer 🍺, great food 😋, great atmosphere 👌, the only slight let down was the food service was a bit slow, but we just grabbed another drink. I would say the burgers here rival Beefy Boys for taste and quality, and are far better than Hanbao and no where near as pretentious. The Lamb fries were stunning, and the wings were great. Oh, and they serve top noch beer as well. 😋🍺😊

We visited this place for drinks and burgers and we got exactly what we wanted. There was a huge selection of beers and ciders. As well as amazing smash burgers that were SO tasty! We sat in the outdoor area and were surrounded by other groups of friends which was nice to see. We had heard that a band often play there but unfortunately we didn’t get to see them when we visited which was a shame. If you love beers and burgers, this is somewhere you have to visit in Worcester.

I've been a regular at this pub for a long while. After two recent incidents involving one of the bar staff I shall be eating and drinking elsewhere. I visited twice last week and I am apalled at the attitude of a male barman after witnessing him verbally abuseing not only the female barstaff on multiple occasions but also through out the night female customers. The barman also insulted the Chef and kitchen staff to customers when trying to order by saying he “wouldn't bother with the food there”. It was very uncomfortable for me and a friend to witness this behaviour and also very upsetting to see women being spoken to in such a derogatory manner . I have no idea who the female, who clearly pushed her finger to far up this over aged wannabe hipster Dumbledors prostate was, but it clearly upset the misogynist enough to feel that a job as a barman was sufficiently powerful enough to be able to verbally abuse women and run down his own catering. It is extremely clear this man is in the wrong job. I warn all women to just be aware of this abusive barman should you choose to grace this establishment with your custom. I will not be returning while this man is there and neither will my friends.

Perfect for a casual drink or a night out food is top notch and staff are knowledgeable and welcoming

A brilliant bar for the beer lover! The atmosphere is brill and there is plenty of food outdoor seating.

A great bar in Worcester centre, serving real ales and ciders, craft beers and a wide variety of cans and bottles. First time I'd seen Budvar black, which was excellent and an old favourite Delirium (in its various forms) All beers served in the appropriate glass too. Could have stayed longer but we had a table booked for dinner and had to move on. Highly recommended!

Can't go wrong here. This is a church of booze. It's my new favourite place to walk to on the weekend and then stumble back. Best beer selection in Worcestershire.

I use to like this place until yesterday. Me with mates ordered 3 burgers and 2 fries. We paid nearly 40 pounds. We got our order but there was extra 3 portions of friend chicken as its been told that kitchen closing we didn't think it might be someone else's order. Once we finished our food waitress came and said that we ate someones else's food, gave us a moral how we should do next time if it's to much food and told that now we have to pay extra 38 pounds! Waitress was getting angry and annoyed that we wanted to find out what is 38 pounds for, but my mate just payed. So for extra 3 portions of chicken we payed +38pouns, nearly 80punds in total. Evening was destroyed and we was very disappointed of this place and service

A brilliant spot for a good range of beers. Had the smoked lamb topped fries: the chef knows how to use flavour so well! Fresh chimichurri and beautifully soft lamb. Amazing.

Best pub in Worcester as it has a wide range of beers and spirits. Great food to from Smokin brads. Kitchen is closed on Sundays but it doesn’t matter.

Edit July 2023: Just wanted to mention that I've reserved tables a couple times with The Firefly recently and the staff have always been absolutely amazing, no thrills and just a great booking experience, catering well for large food and drinks orders, we'll definitely be doing this more often! ---- Absolutely love it here, The Firefly has recently undergone refurbishment and looks twice as amazing as it already did. I wouldn't say The Firefly is in the finest part of Worcester, which is a bit of a shame, but therefore definitely makes it a hidden gem! Always a fantastic selection of regularly rotated craft beers and ciders, and the bar staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. A completely vegan food menu is available too. The atmosphere is pretty chilled out, and has a strong social element to it - Can be a great spot for a quiet swifty after work, or a decent starting point for a classy Saturday night out! The Firefly is also a verified venue on Untappd (social beer tracking/discovery app), so is always up to date with the latest they have on the bar. They are heavy users of Facebook and Instagram too, with regular events such as BBQ's and live bands being advertised.

Highlight of Worcester - good beer selection, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff

Why did I love it? My beloved wife loved it. As I well know, a happy wife = a happy life. Terrific vibe even for old crusties like us, the beer was spot on which helped me adapt to the surroundings. We'll be back when we're next in town.

Excellent venue & selection of beers

Smokin Brad's food menu is impossible to make a choice from because everything looks amazing, kudos to whoever made that! Amazing drink choices, got everything you could ever need really, drinks are on the more expensive side but considering it's all craft and premium beers and ciders, you're paying for what you get. Great gigs and events on constantly, big supporter of live local music and put on a bit of everything. There's a great open mic night, and then just a whole host of other events going on. Enjoyable night all round.

We visited The Firefly Saturday afternoon/evening with family. We all had Smokin Brad’s burgers with seasoned fries. Oh. My. Days!!! The burgers are by far the best burgers we have eaten in our 50 years on this planet! They are immense!! We might even travel the 169 miles to Worcester just to eat another one! If you don’t like these burgers then you are not well! The fries were delicious too. Do yourselves a favour and go and get a Smokin Brad’s. Your tastebuds will be eternally grateful! Only negative is that you’ll never eat a burger from anywhere else again!

Let's start by saying when entering the place it was quite empty. Beautiful day outside a day after the Coronation a Sunday as well and I'd come with my family for a good old fashioned Sunday roast,apprehensive!! I need not have worried. First of all the Staff super friendly,if you can be bothered.The food is there own take on a Sunday roast which is served on a tray. Best words to describe it are, Sensational, HUGE and Quality. Just go with an open mind,empty stomach and ENJOY.

We had a fairly impromptu evening out in Worcester, and one of our group suggested here for a drink. It was early evening on a Saturday night - nice atmosphere, but still seats available. A good range of beers, friendly service, cosy, but modern! Really enjoyed it!

Booked a table for 7pm. Was told the kitchen was busy so food would be half an hour and would get told when open.... After an hour the kitchen was still not open... Then when it was... I wasn't told... I saw other people ordering. When I did go to order my food they had less than half of the menu available... By the time my food came it was nearly 9pm. And not one person apologised. Terrible terrible service. We were also put upstairs away from all the atmosphere in a cold, dark room. They said they'd been rammed all day but on a bank holiday weekend this should be expected. The burger was very good which is a shame in a way because the service means I'd never go back

What a great place, Love the decor, Great music being piped through.Great selection of beers. Quite when I arrived, but I can imagine it would be full at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Brilliant my first visit but it will not be my last. Enjoyed my visit immensely.

This is the second time I've played at the open mic session (held on Tuesdays). There's been a really good, encouraging vibe on both occasions. Much busier on the 2nd occasion, but still a really good experience. Compere/ organiser Jake is great too. 👌

My favourite Pub in all of Worcester. They have bands play upstairs on an open mic night. They have a kitchen that does incredible burgers. The range and quality of beer is sensational. Top pub.

I placed an order using Uber Eats with "Smokin Brads" and it was terrible. I would like to preface this with I have ordered food from here before and it was fantastic. This time, unfortunately, it was awful. Nothing was as described, the lamb burger had no cheese, the buffalo chicken fries were dry with no buffalo or ranch sauce as described and the mushroom nuggets for soggy, greasy and again without the sauce as described on the menu. I ate the burger but the mushroom nuggets and fries have both ended up uneaten and in the bin. I hope this was just a bad experience and a one off as my last experience was delicious and I'd wish I'd left a review last time to balance this one but this time I had to say something as raising a complaint with Uber is near impossible.

A great range of beers, sadly let down by the staff serving them. They weren’t showing the England game, which is entirely fair enough. I instead decided to watch on my phone without volume to not be ostentatious. A grumpy, uninterested guy with a pony tale behind the bar suggested it was a ‘bit rude’ and gave us the cold shoulder, terrible service. Great beers, but he’s holding it back.

Worcester is lucky to have so many pubs with character in this world of minimalism and neutral style. The Firefly is one such Worcestershire jewel. Brilliant staff; excellent, rotating beers, wines, ciders and spirits; along with freshly prepared and attentively made, mouth watering bites for all dietary desires. Warm, cosy, dog friendly (for well behaved doggos) and family friendly (before 6pm). What more could you want?

The food here was unbelievable and really good value for money. Could not recommend more, eat in or take out. Great range of beers available too

Met some friends here for a meal and few drinks. Lovely, quirky little pub, really friendly bar staff. We had ‘Smokin Brad’s’ burgers and a couple of sides and it was all delicious- really well cooked and full of flavour. Good value for money too. We will definitely be back!

Amazing fresh hot food. Best beer ever !

This bar is great, great selection of drinks, quirky and amazing food! We had the rueban stack and the slow brisket both worth the hour wait. So tasty and well stacked. The meat was cooked perfectly and lovely crispy bacon. Definitely recommend and we will be back soon!

AVOID . We were regular here. Would go to this pub every time we had off day or long holidays. And the guy behind the bar, nose pierced treated us very badly, he took our drink saying my husband was too drunk and drinking my bourbon and coke. We are from Nepal and we are very friendly and peaceful couple. We had friends always inviting us to parties too but now I think the way they treated us shows us that it was kinda targeted to our race. He had a very bad energy directed to us specifically. There are lot of German beers and my husband was struggling to choose a specific beer and although it was not an issue the first time we entered, he already was serving us very badly. We came from another pub because we were loyal to this pub and liked the vibe there but the bartender was super rude and unreasonably biased with us for some reasons. Never going back again although we are locals.

I had the Reuben burger which consisted of thousand island dressing, pastrami and triple Swiss cheese. It was amazing - full of flavour and very generous portion. I also ordered the fries and the sausage, cheddar & jalapeño croquettes which all tasted delicious too. All food was hot and fresh. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Had our team party here after being recommended from the manager at Heroes Bar and what an absolute find! From start to finish the whole process was smooth and professional and we were very well catered for. For the night itself we had the upstairs room and outside area which was a great space. The drinks selection was spot on and the team that were working were friendly, professional and very helpful and ensured no glass was empty for too long, To add to an already great night we had ordered Smokin Brad's Burgers which were abosolutely amazing and had plenty of our team saying they were the best burger they had had, they also ensured that our team mebers who had allergens were very well taken care of too. All in all a great place and a real asset to the city!

If you want a quirky place to go for a drink or food then this is the place to go in Worcester. To me it wasn’t a standard bar/ pub that mimics others. Great decor inside and outside, atmosphere is spot on and the staff are really friendly. Large selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, again not the usual ones you would expect in Worcester. To top it off we had the best burger we have ever had here, hands down the food tops any other burger place in Worcester. Don’t know why I haven’t been here more often.

I particularly liked the service I received. I asked the bar man for a beer and he gave me a beer. I then asked for food, a different man cooked the food. It was good. I gave him money in exchange for said items. All were satisfied with this exchange of currency and goods.

A firm favourite place to go, great beer choices, excellent food..... Staff are always great, do well to manage difficult people to create the amazing atmosphere , highly recommend!!

We strangely stumbled upon this place whilst scrolling TikTok where a guy was reviewing the burgers and pork belly bites which looked incredible!!! Of course we had to give it a go being the foodies that we are… well it did not disappoint I tried the low and slow brisket burger which was out of this world and my partner had the bacon royale which he says is the best burger he has ever tried and he has tried a few, to top it off we tried the BBQ wings which were to die for. I can definitely say it was an ace find and will definitely become one of our regulars which the awesome food and welcoming service.

By far the best burgers in town! Cooked to perfection. We had the smoked brisket and blue ox burgers with pineapple habanero wings and fries. All came nice and hot with a selection of sauces. We will be back to double up next time!
