Had a great experience, friendly staff. Good food, what more could you ask? I had roast turkey dinner and it was delicious, hot and thoroughly enjoyable

Stayed at the nearby hotel for work so went to The Old Mill out of convenience and was pleasantly surprised. Food was lovely, had the beef burger, the Malbec was very nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend and is a bonus to have such a lovely pub so close to a premier inn

Great location and interior settings.Service was friendly and efficient. Good choice on the lunch menu which didn't disapppoint.Reasonably priced ,good value for a family of three.First visit won't be the last.

Had not been in this establishment for about 10 years. Today we had a lovely lunch with our daughters and 5 grandchildren. Very pleasant surroundings, food excellent and staff friendly and welcoming, especially Ian. Will definitely visit again in the very near future.

Had a lovely stay at the Old Mill, beautiful location, good food and fantastic staff! Yes it is a bit dated in the pool and gym area, but for the price we paid I wasnt complaining, we enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room. The All Inclusive offer was great value for money, will return and will recommend, was told they are having a refurb so will look forward to returning to see what has been done

What a little gem of a pub the food was amazing probably one of the best burgers I’ve had staff friendly would definitely come back to try more on the menu.

Awful reheated food. You know it’s going to be bad when your food arrives 3 minutes after you’ve ordered. I thought we’d gotten better than this in the UK, but clearly some places are still employing reheaters rather than actual chefs. Dreadful!

Went for dinner tonight. I waited at the please wait to be seated to eat area. Basically ignore by two staff members so I went to the bar only for that person to also walk off. Eventually went to someone who also walked past me and finally got seated and ordered. Food was good but the staff seem disinterested in what they are doing. Would go back for the food though.

Ian and Tom did us proud when we visited for lunch. I had the vegetable grill, which was an adventurous medley of veg with more traditional peas, chips and gravy. Your five a day on one plate as there was butternut squash, sweet potatoes, courgettes, roasted onion, mushroom and tomato as well as the peas. The sweet potato was seasoned with Italian seasoning which made for a good flavour. A jug of gravy was served with it so you could have none at all or plenty according to taste. I was dining with my sister who opted for chicken which was served with onion rings and chips. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere to the place plus an interesting history to the building which was owned by nuns who rented the original mill to get some income Would I put you off if I said there are rumours it might be haunted?

1st time we've visited this establishment. Beautifully done out. It was more or less empty when we arrived around 17.00pm. Menu is limited, although you should find something. Our food was nice, but small portions and very pricey. It's not really value for money. We've spent less and eaten better elsewhere. 2 mains, 1 beer, and a large glass of red £43. Won't be re visiting I'm afraid.

This place is amazing food is gorgeous served very quick.The staff are fantastic.There is 3. I can name Georgia so chatty and nice person so helpful. Then Tom so helpful And Craig so helpful all are so nice .So warm and welcoming .Also a big thank you to the chefs for such lovely food.They all make you smile 😃

We stopped travelling home but would make an ideal stop for anyone who was hungry travelling on the M62 and wanted something better than the nearby service station. Pub looks good both from the inside and outside. Friendly service. Nicely cooked food at a reasonable price

Bindi and Craig were fantastic! They made a belated birthday into a wonderful celebration and experience. This is one of our favourite spots but circumstances have prevented our attendance. Thank you Brindi and Craig … we will be back!

This was our first meal in England after landing in Manchester and making our way to York. It did not disappoint. We were very hungry and the staff was very gracious. The service was great and the food was well prepared. The food also was served to us looking delicious and appealing. It was more than we expected. We found it by chance on a website as we were navigating traffic back up on the highway. We highly recommend it.

We visited The Old Mill Brighouse on Sunday evening as an early birthday meal due to worries about the pending covid lockdown prospect. The meal was beautiful, as it is whenever we dine there, well presented and we were looked after brilliantly by our server, Stacey. The menu choices, location and ambience of The Old Mill make this a favourite with our family. The changes and improvements made by the staff because of social distancing requirements have only enhanced the entire experience. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Visited many restaurants this last year during this dreadful virus, this place must rate amongst the best for sanitation standards .the tables ,& chairs were cleaned thoroughly after use . The service was excellent from all staff served with a smile, special thanks to Rob. We enjoyed our visit

Had dinner on the 24th and 25th of September. We cannot fault the attention to detail from all the staff that we encountered. Social distancing was adhered to and hand sanitizer freely available. We felt extremely safe and looked after in this environment. The food was excellent . Our compliments to the chef..Your staff are an absolute credit to this wonderful establishment . Would highly recommend.

We visited today for our 10th wedding anniversary with our two boys. I cant thank Jamie and Sophie enough for such a fabulous visit and meal. Jamie was fantastic and great with us and our boys. To top off our visit we were chosen for the friday night "burn the bill" which was an amazing surprise. We can wait to come back

I vised The old mill with my wife for my birthday and had a fantastic time. Jamie & Lucy made us feel very welcome and they couldn't have done any more for us, the food was beautiful it was well cooked and the presentation was excellent, we can't wait to visit the Old mill again.

The Old Mill was clean and welcoming. Our server Jamie was excellent throughout and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is varied and decent value. I would return.

Excellent service from warm friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was observing social distancing measures and the place was very clean. The food was very good quality and we were able to tailor the menu to our specific requirements without feeling like we were asking too much. The staff interaction with the little person in our group was fantastic and made their experience all the more special.

Great service, and a brilliant system in place for the new rules. Definitely recommend the mixed grill. Lucy and Jamie really make you feel welcome, and the place has a great atmosphere.

We booked to go for lunch today and travelled from Manchester. Inside the pub was fabulous with many of the buildings original features retained.Both service and food were excellent. Very clean and following Covid guidelines. Highly recommend and it wasn't busy due to being Thu and there was no eat out to help out offers on. We will definately go back again soon. Also beautiful countryside around this area.

We decided last minute on Tuesday to go for dinner, we struggled to get in anywhere & we passed by the old mill. Decided to see if we could get a table... not been there in years Surprising wasn’t busy but the food and service was fantastic The covid stuff in place was best I’ve seen with staff in ppe & standing back from tables Bill should of been £52 but was £27.... unbeatable Will be back soon

My husband , our daughter and I went to the Old Mill this evening. We never had a single worry about THE virus. We felt very safe and protected. The service was excellent. The staff went above and beyong their job descriptions to make us feel welcome and looked after. The food was excellent and it was a pleasure to be out and unworried. We have been to a couple of other restaurants prior to this but the Old Mill has felt the safest.

Ordered on the App on our way home from Filey, you can select your pick up time, perfect way to pick up dinner coming off from motorway. 3 choices of meat, veg cooked perfectly and roast pots still crispy when we got home and the tastiest gravy. Now, please add dessert choices to the takeaway. We will be back and highly recommended

We have been the mill a lot of times and always had extremely fresh food and fantastic service from the staff.

Went for a post lockdown lunch this Sunday. Lucy and the team have done an excellent job of managing the current rules and still maintain a nice atmosphere. Super polite staff and good food (Turkey roast meal and Gourmet burger) and great customer service. Limited seating outside but inside was just as nice. Will return.

Returning from a trip we decided on a impromptu stop at the Old Mill.Any worries quickly disappeared as we were greeted and treated very well by the ladies on duty.All visitors were warmly greeted and the layout has been carefully set so it maintains good distancing without spoiling the atmosphere.Well done and keep up the good workWe will be back ;)

First time out for my husband and I , didn’t know what to expect . Was met at the door and shown to our table , a one way system was in place and sanitiser by the entrance . All menus on the table and we were left to make up our minds . The staff were very efficient in a friendly sort of way , the food , sirloin steak and chicken tikka masala were spot on , no room for pudding . In between serving us the staff were busy making sure the other tables were kept up to the high standard of hygiene that they have on going . Very impressed and will definitely be returning soon . I’m just so sorry I didn’t get the 3 guys names who had made us feel so safe and welcome

We went here yesterday for my dads birthday and was amazed by how they are dealing with the pandemic. Separate entrance and exit, hand sanitiser provided and disposable menus. The app allows for limited contact and the food is always delicious, couldn’t recommend more.

We went for our first family meal since lockdown! The restaurant was well organised and the food was lovely! A special mention to Lucy, she was so polite, tentative and just generally fantastic at her job! Thank you!

Stayed her after a course, food was lovely and the atmosphere even though restrictions were being put in place because of the corona virus was warm and positive. Bar staff were amazing, I think it was the bar manager? Unfortunately my alcohol consumption meant my recollection of names wasn’t great but if I said thanks for the Doritos and sorry I dropped them on the floor! He may remember me? Thanks for a Great evening!

Decided to try Sunday lunch here as we hadn't been before. Really nice location and lovely feel to the place but was cold inside. There was nobody to greet or seat on arrival so we grabbed a menu from the table and sat ourselves down. Went to place order at the bar and had to change order as no Turkey left. The table we were sat at had been cleared but not wiped, which is off putting.Meal arrived but was barely warm and the plates were cold. Food was average and on the pricey side compared to other places. We ate and left very disappointed,no goodbye, or thank you from anyone. Dont think we will be returning which is a shame.

We had a lovely family meal this evening. Wonderful atmosphere and very cosy seated by the open fire. Great menu, great service - definitely will return.

This place was really decent some time back but then it has been on the slide for the last 12 months! Food average at best and the bar area has been spoilt with all the changes the previous management had made. But now under new leadership the place is on the up the food tonight was lovely and the general feel of the place is already becoming much better - keep improving and the ‘good old days’ will be back very soon.

First time to this place. What a very interesting charming building by the river. Food was very good.

Its become a bit of a standing joke in our family, don't expect to get what you order! We come here because its lovely decor and atmosphere, but the service is all over the place. One girl seemed to be trying her best to hold it all together at the front of house, but the food coming out looked like it had been thrown at the plate, no pride at all. We didn't get what we ordered but the kids were so hungry at that point we couldn't be bothered faffing around. The staff are nice enough but they always seem to be struggling. I think the pub is always full because of Premier Inn guests so the owners Chef and Brewer don't realise there's an issue. It needs some help because it could be wonderful! Great location and done out lovely inside.

We've been here a few times now. Every single time has been an absolute pleasure. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the food is great, and the atmosphere is delightful.

Be careful if you go with vouchers , on two separate occasions despite checking before ordering the vouchers were not valid for menu or food choice, a shame because the food is amazing

Stayed at the Premier inn next to the Old mill pub/restaurant, we had been travelling from Romford in Essex on Sunday 02/02/2020. We arrived at 17.00pm, went to the Old mill around 18.30pm, as we entered we were met by a waitress who asked if we had booked ( i looked around it was half empty) i said no but the premier inn recommended you to us. We were then taken to a room with other empty tables & was shown the menu. We chose the triple Sunday roast & ordered some drinks they came in a couple of minutes, then we waited & waited for our meal to arrive, i said to my wife is it a carvery & help ourselves, she said they would have said so,i said i`m going to check. Off i went had a look around the pub ,its quite large came back & hey presto our meal was on the table, triple roast suppose to consist of beef, turkey & gammon, i said to my wife wheres the beef then i found it under the gammon, it wasn`t the size of my little finger about 35mm x 25mm the turkey was the same no kidding, a barman/waiter came in & asked if all ok, i said no where is the beef/turkey he looked at me as if i came from another planet, i`ll check for you was his answer, never saw him again or another waitress to ask if we needed a dessert. We got up & i paid at the bar, no one to be seen.I STILL THINK WHY DID I PAY MUST`VE BEEN TIRED.

The restaurant is lovely, the food is excellent, however the attitude of the waitresses and their service is diabolical. One waitress forgot my desert, and when I asked for it, she brought it to the table and asked who wanted it and the when I asked for a spoon, well it looks could kill me... she then almost threw the spoon on the table.... don’t spoil a good place with poor staff

Food was tasteless, cold & took far too long. Apparently understaffed & they seemed thoroughly fed up. Couldn’t wait to get rid of us.

Stayed at the nearby Premier Inn (again) and booked for the Old Mill (again). Sadly, the standard at the Old Mill has fallen dramatically since my last visit and an attitude of "couldn't care less" prevailed. Having driven 300 miles we arrived on time to eat, only to be told we were not booked in - even though I had a letter confirming the booking and a reference number. The waitress did not want to know. So, to save a scene, I asked if she had a spare table for four left. With poor grace she told us she had just one, so we agreed to take it. There was another couple in the room who left a few minutes after we arrived. Nobody else sat at any other table for the rest of the evening. So much for just one table left. Three of us chose the Burns Night menu, one went à la catre. The plates for the starters and haggis course were cold. The venison main course was very cold and was left (we were not charged for that), When we requested onion rings as a side dish to go with the sirloin steak (which was tough) we were told that they did not have any. When ordering initially we asked if they wanted to take our dessert order at the same time and were told that the waitress would do that after the main courses had been cleared. We duly asked for the dessert menus which arrived and were placed on the table, and waited, and waited, and waited for our order to be taken. Eventually we gave up and one of us went to find a waitress. When she came she told us there were no desserts at all left on the Burns Night menu. I, and my co-eaters were not impressed I am afraid.

I can say I enjoyed my visit here . Food was spot on am a fusy eater and the chef's did what I asked I couldn't fault the food or the staff in any way however . Goes to the gentleman toilets floor is not the best it's got a hump in the floor where the floor has lifted up . But other then that enjoyed my stay and staff where very friendly .

I’ve visited the Old Mill on multiple occasions and never had a problem. Food always been tasty, quick service and helpful staff - however this was not the case on my last visit. My partner and I decided to visit on our “child free” night for something to eat before heading to the cinema. We noted upon entry that the pub was quiet. We were seated pretty much straight away yet it took the waitress 25 minutes to take our order. My partner actually had to go to the bar to ask if someone could come to take the order as we had been waiting a while. After placing, it took another 30 minutes for our simple starter to arrive. We only ordered baked mushrooms. Tasty but luke warm once it arrived. We were sat amongst 3 other couples - 2 of which had had to send food back due to it being cold and burnt. They had attempted to serve one lady her main course 3 times - in the end they decided to leave! I only saw 2 people serving, both huffing and puffing, slamming plates down on tables (not just our table) not very attentive & just generally looked like they couldn’t be bothered! Our mains arrived - mine was nice (chicken in a basket), my partner said his was just ok, lots of fat on the steak (8oz sirloin). On arrival, we were planning on ordering 3 courses but after the waiting time us (and others) had experienced we decided not to bother! Waitress brought our bill - well i say brought, more chucked it across the table. Don’t think we will be returning again. Food average, staff not good & waiting time even worse - despite the pub being half empty.

We were served by Bindi who was wonderful thoughout our visit. She was very attentive and made sure we had a great meal. 2 of our party were doing Veganuary and a decent size vegan menu was available.

We booked a table for 8.00pm last night and we were on our way back to The Premier Inn next door by 8.45. We weren't particuarly starving so just ordered the Atlantic Cod with Chips and Mushy Peas. We also ordered bloomer bread and butter. The order arrived within FIVE minutes with thin sliced bread and a knob of butter you'd struggle to cut with an axe. My bread was forgotten and when the waiter brought it over, i asked did he have any margerine as the butter was solid and just broke up the bread. He said 'No, that's how it is'. I gave up with trying to butter it as it just ripped the thin bread to bits. When Bindi asked was everthing ok, i just pointed to the bread on the side plate. She asked did i want some more and she would melt the butter a bit but i was halfway through my meal by then. The fish was actually very nice, the chips were fine but the mushy peas were lukewarm at best. Bindi, the waitress asked did we want a dessert and the wife had a Creme Brulee which arrived within a couple of minutes and didn't have the burnt sugar topping and also wasn't very nice. I didn't bother. We had one drink and two courses in total and were ready to leave within half an hour. I wouldn't return there personally which is a shame as Bindi would be a great asset to any restaurant. She seemed to be the busiest person in there by far. Maybe it was because we had booked the table for 8.00pm but everything seemed very rushed. Please note we have given a rating of three and that would have been lower except for Bindi the waitress.

Firstly I must say for 15 people we had the best time ever!! Food was amazing ! Very good service especially from⁶ bindi !! What a fantastic lady she is ! Always attentive and on the ball with food orders and drinks. Very friendly and takes the time out to make conversation with our family.

Initially a bit worried about having lunch here on Christmas day because of some of the previous reviews. However we had a very enjoyable lunch. The staff were efficient and friendly and helpful, the food was fine - vegetables freshly cooked and we weren't rushed to finish. I chose the vegan main course which was good but I think the vegan Yorkshire pudding is perhaps an acquired taste.

The chicken on the chicken bacon and avocado salad was flavourless but apart from that everything was great

I'll start with something positive. The actual building was very nice on both the outside and inside. The rest was pretty grim.

on last 4 occasions and 1 for my daughter they have shut the food part of the restaurant down, stating something broken in the kitchen (microwave?) or just a half baked smile not asking if you are will to wait .

Called here today with my husband for an early lunch. Booked online and requested a table close to the fire which was granted. Service was super quick and efficient. As the title suggests my fillet steak was out of this world; cooked to perfection and it cut like butter. My husband had the sirloin steak which he said was amazing too. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive and our food came out really quickly. We really enjoyed our meal here today.

1 word awful.... never again staff rude, food bland, slow service.. I used to come to this place quite Allot as the food was so good. But I don’t no what’s happened if they have changed chefs but I won’t be coming again

Been here before and food was great, recommended it for our family Christmas dinner. Disappointed as had to wait to hr seated, soup not as good as was expecting, gravy was watery and Yorkshire pudding was hidden and soggy under turkey. A bit of a letdown.

We went to the old mill for my 30th birthday meal. I absolutely love it here, the food is great and the staff are fantastic. We have been for a few birthday meals and have always had a lovely time. The staff are so friendly and so welcoming. The young girl who brought our meals even took some photos for us, my niece was taken with her and was waving at her and blowing her kisses and the girl was so lovely with her. We will definitely be back.

The name Old Mill is appropriate because there was a corn mill on this site in the 12th century. As expected it is in a lovely riverside setting although the mill wheel has gone. We were greeted and shown to our table by a very friendly young man and our drinks were served promptly. There was a good selection of starters including a Camembert with various crudités. We had no trouble in finding mains that we fancied and interesting side orders to go with them. The waiter was very cheerful and good fun and put plenty logs on the fire.

Lovely place, nice food Stopped over here on NYE afternoon for food on way to Teesside from a break in Chester with two young children. Lovely chilled out place, food was really nice too. No complaints what so ever. An enjoyable lunch.

Five of us reserved a table for the 29/12/2019 . Nice greeting by the manager Chris , the waiter introduced himself ( Jamie ) very friendly, five starters came within 10 minutes from ordering and followed by 5 main courses, all well served nice and hot .

Having read recent reviews I was slightly apprehensive as we had booked a family Christmas meal for 20 people of various ages on 21.12.19. I need not have worried as everyone got what they had preordered and the quality of the food was very good as was the service. The restaurant was busy but we had a very enjoyable time with no complaints at all.

Very nice pub but awful fod. We booked for the festive menu as a treat but got it wrong. it started off with the waitress saying there was a blonde beer on tap , which we ordered, but she brought the guest beer whuch turned out to be a 4.7 ABV dark beer. The starter was OK but the turkey was hard and looked, and tasted, as if it had been carved two days previously, the stuffing was as hard as concrete and the gravy was like a jelly. When I complained that everyting was dry I was offered more gravy. The service was very slow.

It was Saturday evening and there were 12 of us. Firstly, we were squeezed onto a table of 10. Disappointing when the place was so quiet!

Been here lots if times to meet with friends as is half way. Always get a warm welcome from the staff, who can't do enough for you. Good food and good atmosphere

The exterior and interior are both well presented. But, the drinks are expensive. The staff were attentive particularly James, but more than 1 bar staff needs to be on. But, the food still needs improving, and the portion sizes on some of the dishes should be looked at. The Christmas pudding for example was a small slice 3” x 2” x approx 1/4”. The overall summary of the food from our party was “just ok.”

A big thank you for making my daughter's 21st Birthday family meal very special. We had a fabulous time and could not fault the food and staff. The complimentary bottle of fizz was a lovely touch to the evening ❤

Beautiful pub & restaurant in a great location. Lovely food. But this place is at breaking point. There is no communication between front of house, service staff and kitchen. We were served the wrong food and had to send it back. The table at the side of us ordered scallops for starters only to be told 30 mins later that they'd run out. The woman behind us was given the wrong starter. When I was at the bar ordering a drink because I couldn't get the waiters attention, I overheard a guy complaining they'd waited 40 mins for starters. The guy at the bar was rude to me because I asked which varieties of Pinot Grigio they had and he bit my head off and said 'white wine is white wine to me, how should I know'. To be honest, I think all the staff were stressed because they're short staffed. The food itself is great and served hot, but everything else let's it down. Such a shame. I hardly ever give low score reviews as I prefer to congratulate but it has to be said that this place is in trouble. I think 2 out of 5 is fair.

Came here with a child at 630 very quiet but took forever for food gave our child a menu and he wanted to colour it as they do but they had no pencils or crayons

Dined here twice recently in the last 2 weeks. First visit had the Burger. The chips were cold, the egg was so undercooked, there was raw egg running all over the Burger. The bacon was raw too

Unmitigated disaster - Meals missed in the pre order Turkey hard around the edges - tasteless cold food brought out in drinks & drabs. We gave it one last try - total failure & waste of time & money

We had come out for Sunday lunch and believe me this was far from a Sunday lunch the veg looked off the meat was awful the potatoes looked like had not been cooked properly.. plz avoid if I was you. Service was good everything else very poor

Nice restaurant with good atmosphere disappointed. Meal I have never had roast beef cut so thin before and only 2 slices the roast potatoes were not roasted for the price the meal should have been a lot better the service was good

Vick and I along with my parents celebrated my Birthday at the Old Mill near Brighouse. My Mum and Vick are fussy eaters. The waiter took his time to assist with their selection and to ensure that they were happy with their choice. He paid particular attention to how they would like their meals cooked and to what toppings and side dish options would compliment their meal. His advice was 100% to which we all had a great meal. It was my Birthday and they put a candle on my cake. Only one candle though as to fit all 48 on would have been a fire hazard! :-) LOL . Well done Old Mill !(near Brighouse)

We went for an evening meal to celebrate my Birthday, 6 adults and 2 children, we all enjoyed a nice meal with good service, I can reccomend the Signature Fish and Chips,delicious. ...the steak pie also well recieved ,we will definitely return.

Nice restaurant next to Premier Inn. Good range of food to suit all tastes. Service was also very good. Nice to see that a choice of real ales were available, always a good sign.

We popped in for lunch the other day , found the place nicely trimmed up for Christmas, good roaring fire . Three of us had the sharing platter , followed by three tasty mains and a very reasonably priced bottle of wine the staff were very welcoming and courteous. This was our third visit in just over a month and we will be back next week .

It has been a long time since we last were there (nearly a year) and after the experience we had on Saturday night it will be a very long time till we go again I ordered a chef's speciality hunters chicken when it turned up the food was not hot also the triple cooked chips were just frozen ones you buy from the supermarket suffice to say I sent it back with the promise of a fresh one, I got the same one back but warmed up the service was not as we expected

The starters were cold even when we had returned them and they had come back.the main course never arrives so after an hour we left. The manager was useless he basically sent the poor waitress to see us We will never go back

How can it take so long for service when it’s not busy? Had to wait nearly half an hour for 3 scoops of ice creams and a cheese cake ? Terrible service

Everything about a bad meal can be experienced here , slow service, undercooked food,overcooked food, bland tasteless poor quality overpriced food,long waits between courses,you name it they can make a mess of it,only been the once but once is enough to be put off for life.

7 off us went for a meal booked for 7pm waited then had to ask for our order to be taken. Belly pork wasnt ready still in oven! long wait for starters then long long wait and had to ask where our meal was. When it arrived 3 dishes were cold. I recommended this place to friends and felt awful. We complained and was told there was a 45 min wait. The belly pork would of been ready the amount of time we waited. We got some money back after complaining. It used to be a brilliant place. Not too sure now gone down hill

It seems to have a new manager who has poor customer skills and few manners. Food is average, decent beer choice is the only redeeming factor. I used to come here about once a month with my mother, we'll go elsewhere now

Nipped in for dinner just before 5pm. It was quiet but had to wait a couple of minutes before anyone gave me a table. Ordered a drink and after 15 mins, I had to go look for it. Ordered my food including a desert - took just a bit longer than comfortable for main course to be served... food was not brilliant. After finishing the main course, no-one came to clear the table and no sign of the dessert. Finally decided to pay and leave after waiting 20 mins.

Brill visit to The Old Mill, lovely food, lovely service, the Chorizo sandwich was excellent it was just a shame about the weather!

Frequent visits here with my friend. Never disappoints, Great place for a get together. Very friendly and one of the servers Vanessa is lovely

Just as another reviewer has mentioned, the staff only seem interested in people who are using the restaurant rather than the bar area for meals. The service is poor and there is a long wait for food and when it came it was clear the meal had been thrown together some veg overcooked, some raw, hardly any meat, all in all a very poor overall experience.

We called in early Sunday evening ,the wife had the roast dinner and chose the gammon , on the menu it infers that side dishes are added at an extra price for each one so she chose two side dishes to go with the gammon . when the meal arrived it had some veg with it and a Yorkshire pudding which was confusing as they were in the extras .The food was awful the gammon was more like very thin ham and the cauliflower was rock hard and inedible. I had a chicken and wild mushroom pie which was just your bog standard pie you could have bought from a butchers for a couple of quid and a bit of mash and a couple of green beans . one beer one coffee two awful meals ,over £30 . Take my advice do not waste your money here you will only regret it. Extremely disappointing.

Whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn, ate at the Old Mill on three consecutive nights, trying different dishes each night. Food was good with generous portions. Individual staff allocated to serve your table and look after you. Thanks Jamie for looking after our party.

We often stay at the Premier Inn next door to The Old Mill which is fantastic. However the same can’t be said of The Old Mill. We often stay at the Premier Inn and find the pub ok if you just want a drink but the food and service is awful.
