The food was awful, there were 4 of us eating... the mixed grill was barely warm and incredibly dry. It had clearly been cooked hours before. The chips were cold, the onion rings were cold, the Hunters Chips were cold. Only the mac and cheese was hot but tasted like it came out of a can. It's probably OK if you want a snack with your beer, but as a place to eat, I'd avoid it like the plague.

Below average experience. Food was tasteless, bar staff ignorant and the while place felt dirty and unloved. I would avoid

Went to see some old friends I hadn’t seen in a while, great space to chat and catch up, music not too loud, nice seating. The Guinness though was one of the best in Leamington, there’s plenty of bad pints around. And the bar team were super friendly, should have got their names!

I was visiting Leamington spa for the weekend and came across this little gem! Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Will visit again! 😊

Several TV screens around the pub showing sports. Real ale on cask as well as the usual generic lagers, A food menu and good bar staff make this a pub worth dropping in for the afternoon. Quite a large pub so loads of seats. Located on a main road through the town makes it easy to get to and the railway station is only a 10 minute walk away. I paid £4.20 for a pint of ale which is good value.

Absolutely great experience for a couple of drinks and some food. 10/10 would recommend. Was served by James who was absolutely delightful, would revisit just to chat with him again!

Service was atrocious. One bloke walked out complaining to his friends saying he can’t be arsed anymore. This was while I was waiting for my brother to get 2 pints which took around 45 mins. Granted it was Friday night but still, that’s unacceptable.

There were 4 games at the same time, the match I wanted to watch was not broadcasted at the pub. One of the matches which was being broadcasted was not watched anybody and I asked whether that tv can be switched to match i want to watch. However, stuff didnt try to help me and we had an argument which didnt feel good or right to me. I will try to go to other sports pubs from now one

Had a fantastic day in this great little find of a pub . Staff were amazingly welcoming, we had food and drink , service was excellent . We went in as strangers and came out feeling we were part of a family . Great atmosphere and very clean . Thanks to Dave and staff for a marvellous experience . Definitely recommend .

The experience in this establishment was second to none! I have every confidence in this pub. This was our second visit while we are back home (we live in Vietnam but when we came back last time we came here and just had to come back again). We were so happy to be coming home from ‘Nam because we were coming here!!

Had my first date here with the now Mr, we’ve recently come back from our honeymoon ! The vibe is still super cozy and welcoming it’s so easy to relax and just enjoy your evening. Shoutout to Lisa for that pep talk years ago to give my date a chance. The Old Library has a bit of everything and left us with some sweet memories that we’ll hopefully pass down one day x

We ate here today, weekday lunch. The pub was not busy, appeared clean and decently appointed. Service was prompt, and staff were friendly and courteous. The food here is relatively inexpensive, a welcome relief these days, but there is a reason. Honestly, it's sub-par. My wife's curry can with a piece of flaccid while flatbread. God only knows what it was supposed to be but I wouldn't feed to ducks let alone a human. I had a bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries. The fries were OK but could have been warmer. My guess is they came out of a warming drawer. There was something about the burger I couldn't put my finger on until I was in the car on the way home. It tasted like the burgers you buy at Circle Ks in America wrapped in foil from a warming case -- meaning, I am pretty sure, they were pre-cooked and reheated. I'd say the same for the bacon. As I said, very budget priced but I wouldn't rush back here to eat.

Well kept ale at a good price. Staff glass handling. When pouring beer, the bottom 1/3 of the glass belongs to the dispenser. If you place your little finger under the base as a habit, it will become natural. Hospitality is a spreader of many viruses. Staff training is most important in this area!

While food was good but average, it was reasonably priced and the service was friendly and really good! Would go back just because the service was so good.

Pint of Amstel was awful, sticky tables, place looked like it needed a really good clean.

Went for breakfast however it wasn't very nice. Hash browns are deep-fried into oblivion. Super hard and crunchy sausages were only like warm, fried egg was overdone and burnt on the bottom, bacon and beans were ice cold. I don't believe the food is cooked fresh and sits in a heater waiting for an order. wouldn't recommend it and this was my first and only visit. Pub itself is a bit rough with smoking indoors still facilitating itself here especially during my visit I had to tell someone you can't smoke inside.

Food was very tasty. Staff were really friendly, regulars were a bit grumpy 🤣 and the toilets had a leak in the light fittings.

Really warm welcome at this cosy traditional pub. The lovely lady who served us gave us a quick, thorough run down of places to go & things to do in the town, & confidently said she thought we'd be back for a last drink later. As it was, we stayed all day - too rainy & grim for sight seeing. Food & drink were perfect. Great place to catch up with friends & feel at home. Thanks so much for your hospitality 😌

We visited here tonight to have food.. there was hardly any vegatarian choices ..I opted for a pasta dish.. its the worst food I ve ever tasted ... way to spicy. Mainly a plate of chilli's and no vegetables or sauce or even cheese on top ... I couldn't eat it all ... my son had a burger with a pig in blanket on the tip.. this was not cooked so informed rhe staff ...she went off and bought him another pig in blanket which just looked as uncooked as the last... burger was ok my son said .. food used to be lovely here but it has really gone down hill and is very exspensive for what we had ..won't be visiting again in a hurry

We stopped here on our way through to a hotel and it looked inviting so found a car park near by and walked back to it. It was a large space with lots of little areas and a real oldie feel to it. The staff were lovely and welcoming and there was a great choice on the menu for food and drinks. We really enjoyed the cocktails, meal and watching the footie. Everything was done with no delay. Tucked away was a lovely outside area with plenty of seating and TVs too. I really pleasant, laid back environment. Would definitely go again. Huge shoutout to James! Top chap and Barman!

Have to say we had a great time Dave was very very supportive. He did everything he could to make us comfortable including doing a really good job on the toilets very much appreciated. Dave the food was excellent the atmosphere great and lively.

The burgers we had were unique and exceptional in quality the selection of drinks was very good with alot of good choices the staff were incredibly nice and charming and the atmosphere is cozy and homy. Over all I would highly recommend coming here

Had heard a lot about The Old Library. So we had to give a go. The place was really big with a really nice garden area, we sat inside (due to the weather). The layout of the pub was slightly quirky, which is a good thing. The beers available on draft were plentiful. The hobgoblin gold was a cracking pint. The staff were really nice too. So would I go back? I think I would, may be on a sunny day.

We went in here for a drink and some quick bites to satiate the hunger pang after a long Sunday walk. The Old Library offered us more than what we could ask - pretty ambience, lovely drink, tasty bites and welcoming staffs… moreover, The beer garden is a lil gem. Our furry friends enjoyed the place just the same…

We often visit from Germany and always enjoy coming to this pub. Today we were served very friendly and enthusiastically by Linda. We'll be twice as happy to come back!

Went to the pub to meet some friends and family, greeted by Jess and was given a wonderful warm welcome, later Lisa started her shift , I experienced the same fantastic service. Hats off to the two girls, Matt popped in with his dog (much loved by the locals) -a lovely happy experience all round my family and friends left happy, we will definitely be back

Lovely pub, with a great pub garden. My partner and me eat here and drink here during football season. Today especially made me realise why I love this place so much, and that’d be the staff. The waitress today- didn’t manage to take her name is friendly and funny rushing around with peoples drinks and she still has a smile on her face! Thank you, you are an asset to this establishment

A scruffy, seedy looking joint - was my first impression of this place and I couldn't avoid thinking that it wouldn't take anyone very long to end up in a fight. Think Wetherspoons ... then drop down a few grades ! 😩

Gem of a place! Had quite a lot on offer especially ales which surprised me. Was spoilt for choice! Staff were lovely and were so friendly and chatty. Only had something small to eat but it was lovely, well presented and left me wanting more. I'll have to try a bigger meal next time! Definitely coming back when I'm back this way! I'm looking forward to it already!!
