Nicely renovated pub with some interesting meal options. A good location with comfortable seating and views of the canal. Slightly higher prices, but the the crab/crayfish spaghetti was tasty and my wife enjoyed the mushroom wellington. The two front of house seemed a little stretched on a Saturday night.

Visited for a Sunday roast, it was okay, but the burger is amazing, would highly recommend! Tara was really friendly and gave us lots of recommendations. Staff were great 😊

The restaurant’s overall rating should obviously be lower. 1. Service was way too slow, even though the restaurant was almost empty. 2. They gave me a dirty fork (see photo). When I asked for a clean one, the response was just “Yeah.” Is this a standard practice here???

Food was lukewarm warm, some courses forgotten needed to be reminded, no cutlery on table until all food served, no offer of sauces. So badly lacking in service. Wouldn’t return

Left work to have lunch here, 45 odd mins to bring 3 burgers out at midday on a Wednesday. (It wasn't a busy time)

I’ve been here four times, and each time it’s been excellent — so much so that I’ve wanted to come back for more and recommend it to others. I assume the restaurant has changed hands to different management or chef because this time was terrible the overweight woman with the pink hair was so condescending and rude that she didn’t even bother asking us how our meal was because she knew it was bloody awful! I had a steak with sauce that was meant to be peppercorn and it looked like a beef stock mixed with water as someone who loves to cook peppercorn sauce usually has double cream in this sauce was more like gravy and she rudely and abruptly said it was peppercorn sauce with an attitude — honest to god never again what a shame such a lovely restaurant gone downhill not only with the food but the awful excuse of a manager.

The restaurant was lovely. However there was a big dollop of red sauce on the ceiling and they were aware which felt they didn't care much. However, the food was delicious. Im sure they have sorted out the tomato 🍅 sauce issue.

Not my first visit to the moorings, but the first one for a while and was rewarded with rather a pleasant Sunday evening, I elected to go around 5:00 and he didn't seem too busy, very attentive and seamless service from a few of the front of house staff. The food was lovely!

Wow, blown away with our dinner this evening. Dishes tasted lovely, good presentation , staff were very friendly and attentive . Location is great coupled with car parking. Hats off to the chef , our food was delicious !!! Definitely coming back.

Ordered 3 starters to share with my partner and a side of fries. The mozzarella sticks were burnt and hard to eat, the squid was literally popcorn sized pieces and the mushrooms were the only edible item (along with the fries) Is a lovely place BUT so disappointed with the food quality. We will only stick to drinking next time!!!

Not a great experience. The surroundings are nice enough but there was initial confusion over our booking. Despite booking a table online there didn’t seem to be any record of our booking and it was lucky there was one available. Wait was long for food which was basic pub grub and very overpriced. My half chicken was overcooked and very small. Service also patchy. Would not return and would not recommend

myself and my partner reserved a table for a Saturday night and we cannot complain AT ALL! Elliot was an amazing host and gave us the best service I have ever experienced. My partner had the 1/2 roast hunters chicken and it was cooked perfectly, falling off the bone. I had the Crab, Chilli & Crayfish Spaghetti and WOW, not only was the serving huge but it was delicious (even though I couldn't finish it all). I could not recommend this place any more. All the staff were attentive and cheerful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. Will definitely visit again! Thank you for a great experience

We had the Christmas party menu (2 courses). We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great, food, great venue, great service and great atmosphere. Highly recommended in the area

Lovely Sunday lunch, both for meat eaters and vegans. Huge portions though, but beautifully cooked. Ordinary menu also available..good choices.Very pleasant service. Definitely recommend.

Called at The Moorings completely by chance, so pleased we did. The food was excellent as was the service. Steak cooked to perfection for me the wife had a half chicken, she said it was very moist and tasty as was the slaw. The guys that served us were really on the ball, made sure everything was okay, and made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed.

Absolutely perfect for just a coffee or even a pint and something to eat .would even nicer in summer as the outside seating is right by the canal also dog friendly in bar area they even brought out a bowl of water for our furry friend

The lady who served us was quite short with the group and hasty in wanting to place our order. We weren't given a Christmas menu. She was happiest when we were leaving the restaurant. Shame the food was good and the location of the restaurant was great.

We went here for our department Christmas party lunch. We had the whole of the upstairs area which was great, although it meant we were split up quite a bit. Food was okay,but served by dish rather than table which meant some people at our table were served last even though the rest of the table had their food. Food itself wasn't anything extraordinary but was hot and proportions big enough to allow you to eat all 3 courses easily without feeling overwhelmed. Staff were friendly and efficient. One of the ladies toilets was closed due to the sanitary bin needing emptied and it did smell a bit, so that wasn't nice. Overall it was okay. Outside area might be nice to sit at during the summer by the canal.

Overall good works Christmas lunch especially as they catered for over 90 people food was hot and very good. Overall experience very good. Only issue I had was room was so cold no heating did warm up a bit when all the people arrived but still not warm.

Took some customers for lunch (6 people), we had a pre-booked table. It was all going well until we noticed we were waiting quite a long time. It transpires one waitress thought we were having our starters but it turned out we didn’t get starters at all when the main courses came out. They were very apologetic and gave us a 10% discount as compo. Easy done I suppose 🤨.

The Moorings staff including the chiefs couldn't do enough for us, nothing was a problem and all of them were so professional, approachable and happy! Right on the Grand Union Canal this pub is the perfect setting for a leisurley lunch. We had the fish (haddock) & chips and a steak. The fish was superbly cooked - the haddock broke onto large flakes. The steak came medium as ordered. There was a large party of 25 upstairs and we were told that it would be 15 minutes before we could order but that was no problem given the canal side location and the wait for the food was well worth it.

Nice pub right on the canal towpath. Great to sit outside and watch the barges go past and see the ducks and swans . Quiet time when I visited but no less enjoyable for that. A pint by the water, what could be better?

Food was good, had to wait for mine because they missed it but didn't take too long. They didn't charge me for it (we were a table of about 15), which was good, it's a shame my company was paying for it and not me though. I had the double cheeseburger, which was really nice, then the sticky toffee pudding, which was also nice, but I have definitely had better. Overall the atmosphere was ok, but our table was next to the toilets, and the doors had been propped open. Although it did mean you could tell who hadn't washed their hands (the hand dryer was quite loud) and if you were in the toilet you could still hear all the conversation at the table, which is a sort of benefit I suppose.

Called in planning to have a meal whilst staying locally. Found the barman very abrupt and disinterested. Had a drink then went somewhere else and had a great meal.

Cracking pint of guinness but at £6.60 you'd think you were in London!

We had two roast beef and a side of cauliflower cheese. Whilst the roast came out within 5 minutes and looked amazing, the food quality was poor. I could not cut my beef, the roast potatoes were hard and tasteless and the Yorkshire pudding was also tough and tasteless. The lemonade tasted strange and was told the flavour had run out so offered me an alternative drink. The staff were apologetic and refunded us one roast and the drinks but paying £20.50 for a roast not including the side I would have expected better quality as I had to leave most of it and felt disappointed

Lovely setting by the river, very nice interior including top notch toilets. Nachos are home madecand literally the best we ever tasted. Excellent place, definitely would come back.

The main menu didnt offer an easy choice as there seemed to have little choice for someone that cant eat spicy food, as we were a large party we were given a reduced menu choice which consisted of highly spiced food or a fish cake. Nice location, nice staff, plenty of parking but menu needs looking at.

Don't think I've ever been so disgusted at how an establishment is run. Staying locally, so I thought it would be a nice place to eat on a summer evening. Walked there, ordered a drink, and asked to order food to be told the kitchen is closed because they are dealing with a party of 18. This place is huge, and they are telling me they can't cope with providing food for more than 18 people. It's not as though their menu is complex. I may only be one person but I will never try it again.

Absolutely cracking spot! We were at Jephson gardens for the day (another gem!) and were looking for somewhere to eat. After a quick Google search The Moorings at Myton came up, and with a decent amount of positive reviews we decided to check it out. It was a Sunday so I was half-expecting to be turned away because we hadn't booked, but was pleasantly surprised, not only be how idyllic this place was by the canal, but by how cordial everyone was. Top spot! We managed to get a table, front of house was so nice and even took the time to dig out some pens for the kids to doodle with. Great kids options. Dog friendly. And the food was great! Absolutely Loved it! Would definitely recommend to others!

It took us by surprise how clean the place was both indoors and outdoors. Complimented by the outdoor canal view,it was a cosy and beautiful experience.

We had a big booking for a family event and i'll be honest, I was left somewhat underwhelmed and unimpressed. Many ordered the Ribeye steak which costs £32, for this price you would expect properly sourced top quality meat however that wasn’t the case. The meat was chewy and looked of poor quality. People were happy with the chicken burgers but the beef burgers were drowned in grease and have given bad stomach aches since eating, would not eat here again. The waitress was rude, one of them was nice and tried her best to sort our issues out with wrong food being brought out but the other looked like she hated her job and didn’t want to be there ( this is the one that took the bill at the end).

Separate pub and dining room environments, a place with a pleasant atmosphere and close to the hotel where we stayed. I had a good rib eye with potatoes and a slightly spicy sauce. The chicken burger is delicious. Delicious, quality food with good service.

It has a lovely patio overlooking the Grand Union Canal. I didn't try the food but it looked OK. Beer prices were a bit expensive.

Elliott served us when me and a colleague stopped in for a drink and a catch up. Excellent service and great chat. Will definitely stop by again. Bartender is an asset to your business. Genuine and happy to chat to us about the pub.

We recently had our wedding reception at Mooring and we had the best day ever! Everything went so smoothly from beginning to finish. Taylor, Riad and the team have been an absolute blast listening to our needs and expectations. On the day, the food was delicious and came on the right timing. Our guests were amazed by the venue atmosphere and quality of the service. Respectful smiley team who made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this venue for any events or celebrations! Thank you so much team ♥️

Visited for lunch, first time here. Location is nice (on one side anyway with the canal, the other side is a roundabout and car park). Prices were average to high (£17 for a sandwich and fries) but food was at least very good quality. Staff were lovely, and food was served relatively quickly. Will visit again.

First time visiting The Moorings. Atmosphere lovely and food very good too. Had 3 for £18 starters as well as nachos as we don’t have big appetites. I have to say the nachos were excellent as well as other food. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for pudding. Again lovely. We will return and we highly recommend.

We have lived in the area for a year and a half, we have always said we need to try it. Well today was our first visit and it will not be our last. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, we only intended to have a drink. The whole place has a nice ambiance, with very friendly and attentive staff. We finished our drink and walked into Leamington with the intention of having dinner in town. But decided to return to the Moorings. We had simply tapas style bites, but was very pleasantly surprised, food was cooked perfectly and arrived in a timely manner, again delivered with a smile. We will definitely return as the food was nice, staff welcoming with a nice ambiance to the place.

Nice local pub and great location next to the Canal.

Lovely location on the canal! We did their 3 small plates for £18 deal and those plates are very yummy but not great value portions for the price (3 chicken tenders - more goujons - 7 small halloumi fries, and a large ramekin for the mac and cheese).

They’ve recently changed the menu and the quality of the food and the prices has really gone downhill. Had the fish finger sub and it feels like the cheapest bread and hardly any filling. The pub itself is nice but it’s huge and lacks atmosphere and was also freezing when we went. Probably won’t be coming again which is a shame because I used to really nice this pub!

I think £15 for a fish finger sub (served with small portion of fries) is extortionate! Freshly cooked but not aesthetically appealing. More like ‘would you like a fish finger with your tartare sauce?’ Husband enjoyed his burger. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Great place to stop for a drink along the canal

We had the most delicious double cheeseburger and fries. I definitely aren't one to order this type of food but I was extremely hungry, we both were and the food was very pleasing to our taste buds...Our first impression of reading the menu was overpriced...but we had been driving from Lincoln and we needed a break...so we ordered and the price was well worth paying for the taste. ..only downside was we had to eat our food from a large sofa with a very low table as we didn't pre-book but the food made up for that !

We were slightly worried that we got a last minute booking on a Sunday lunch, but after 20m the place got busy and the food was excellent. We were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal

There is a good menu and range of drinks available. It is a very comfortable and modern pub and restaurant.

The dining experience was quite satisfactory overall. While the steaks were decent, the burgers could have been a bit more substantial. However, I must express my disappointment with the After Eight mint cheesecake. It fell short of expectations, resembling more of a vanilla cheesecake with a scant topping of mint chocolates. If you're promising a mint cheesecake, it should deliver on that minty freshness!

A bearded man sold me two pints of aspall cider that tasted like petrol. His staff said a number of people had complained about the drink tasting like fuel already! So why continue to sell the beverage you bearded man? Not a good experience at all

Very average. For two burgers, a beer and Diet Coke, it cost £42. I don’t mind paying that for a lunch if the food is exceptional, but these were just very average buttermilk chicken and halloumi burgers. Menu is very boring, not like it used to be. The canal setting outside should be nice, but it’s full of garbage, graffiti and had road barriers and rubbish floating in it. Won’t return.

Very good every time I've been Once I did order a burger but it was burnt. However when it was warm it was semi masking that it was burnt and tasted pretty good. Once it had cooled and I had already eaten most of it, it became quite obvious it was burnt. (Literally was about a third of a burger left and no fries) No questions asked even tho I had already eaten most of the meal it was replaced by the manager. Surprised they didn't think I was trying to swindle them. When the new burger came it was 10/10 and I don't say that easily... Very good service and management

This is the best burger I have ever had! The chips are also delightful! I always add bacon to my burger and the quality and taste is always exceptional!

I have always enjoyed eating at the Moorings but find that this has become very over priced. Their new menu has a burger and chips at £18. This does not include any sides, not even a small salad. Our party shared a bottle of Prosecco at an extortionate £35. I shall find somewhere to eat with more reasonable prices in future.

Wanted to give a tip to the gentleman who served us, nothing was too much trouble, unfortunately he was already gone home.

Here on one of the quiet nights although looked as if there were a few bookings food was more than good ,we'll cooked and very tasty , well thought out menu ,arrived hot . May not be gastro pub it was before ,but a very pleasant experience still the same .
