Unfortunately the room was very tired and needed redecorating. Plaster coming off the wall, cracks in ceiling, stains on carpet. Lock on the door was faulty - and was difficult to open. Breakfast - very disappointing. All in all very poor value for money. In its current state I have to sadly say I could not recommend.

Lovely venue and the food was good in quality and quantity; but the music was too loud and inappropriate for lunchtime. We asked to turn the music down a bit as we struggled to have a conversation, but it went right back up after few minutes The service need to be more attentive and more professional. Confused with the wine order, and the wrong dish was served to one of us.

My family was craving for a burger so we found this lovely pub where we decided to eat. The place looked amazing and the staff member were even more than amazing. Heather made us feel more than welcome and our little one found a new BFF. Speaking about the food, was absolutely perfect sooo good, couldn't resist and I tried a little bit of everything. Outstanding, fresh, tasty and it filled us up. Also, I want to mention their little outdoor terrace which was so pretty with lovely smelly plants. We wanted to thank Anders BFF but the pub got quickly busy. ( so we are thanking you this way🥰)

This was my first visit at the Old Coffee Tavern, from the start the atmosphere was captivating, it is such a lovely place, high ceilings, and great decor. Next, the service was outstanding! We had a big booking for 20 people and astonishingly the staff new us already by name and dietary requirements by heart. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, allowing us to just enjoy and chat to each other. The staff even went the extra mile with some requests. Finally, I can't leave without mentioning the food: Having so many people I think we tried almost everything from the menu, and everyone had great compliments. I personally had the grilled fish, which was very fresh and perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had a lovely 40th birthday, and this is definitely a place to remember.

The building dates back to 1880, and its age shows in its current condition. We had no hot water for a day due to a boiler issue, but the staff kindly arranged another room for us. While the rooms are clean, they are very dusty, and the old-style windows are difficult to open for ventilation. There's no lift for the top floor and no AC—just a fan—which makes it uncomfortable on hot summer days, and the fan just circulates dust. Breakfast is basic, with a cooked option available on weekends. Its central location is a plus, but I didn't find it good value for money.

Elegant pub in the heart of Warwick. Visited at lunchtime for drinks and a light lunch. Sat in the lovely courtyard and someone came to take our drinks order, which I wasn’t expecting. We stopped here for lunch during our daytrip to Warwick and were overall very happy! The furnishing and decor was lovely and cosy, the playlist was great, the service was fast and the food was absolutely delicious! Almost perfect experience. I do advise people to be mindful and careful that they are charged for what they order. The serving sizes on the wine list are 175ml, 500ml or a bottle, so I ordered a glass (175ml) of wine and expected to pay around £6 as per the menu. After paying what felt like a bit more than I anticipated, I checked the receipt and realised that I was actually served a 250ml glass, which was not even listed on the menu as an option, and was actually charged over £9. There was also a 10% service charge added to the bill that we didn't know about. So just keep that in mind!

God help you if you become ill while eating here.....Had a meal here for the first time last night with my partner and a couple of friends....When the food arrived we were asked who ordered what and then the plates were then just plonked down on the table in front of the wrong people...We were asked within seconds of eating if everything was ok which by then it was but after the 5 or 6 th mouth full realised mine (Cauliflower and Chickpea Curry)was extremely salty, I tried to persevere but eventually gave up and finished the rice and Nann bread at least....After about 5 minutes of finishing I started to feel unwell, I was very hot at first then felt dizzy had a headache and felt nauseous, I went outside for a bit but as it was so cold I had to keep coming back inside, eventually I realised this feeling wasn't passing and my partner left to get the car and pick me up as I was to disorientated to walk, while he was away I then felt extremely sick and as I hadn't been here before didn't know where the toilets were,n ear the kitchen area I noticed a large empty bin and was violently sick...How did the staff react to this you may ask, well they assumed I was drunk and were extremely rude about what I'd done, I had ordered one half of larger and lime which came without the lime so I only drank a couple of mouth fulls...I was not drunk I was ill...my partner and I didn't leave our home until 7.30 as our meal was booked for 8 pm...As I was led outside my friend spoke to one of the staff about their unhelpfulness during the whole situation and they did assume I was drunk and told her to take the bag of vomit with us as it was bodily waste!!!....My partner drove me to A & E and I spent the night in Hospital... I had a massive increase in Blood Pressure which is why I felt so ill so quickly, I was lucky I didn't have a Stroke.....So thanks everyone at The Old Coffee Tavern....I think at the 61 I'm passed the age of being out all night getting pissed.

Very clean and fluffy towels were at the room and although the windows opened very widely we also had a fan should we need . The atmosphere and ambiance at the bar was fun and funky with more chilled areas towards the back of the pub. We had an evening meal and breakfast at the pub . I had the granola (can highly recommend it ) my partner the full English (he can highly recommend). We also arrived fifteen minutes early for breakfast , the pub opened to let us in and chill until breakfast was served. We will definitely rebook for a special occasion this time. We were also lucky as on the sat morning there was an eclectic local market.

Everyone involved with The Old Coffee Tavern should be very delighted with what has been created. We stayed Friday 6th August 2021. We wish we'd stayed a day or so longer such was the whole experience. From arriving without bags (parked on The Butts for £6 for 24 hours) and the offer of helping to fetch them, we knew we were going to be looked after. The room was very high ceiling, with a lovely ensuite - the shower is amazing. Coffee/Tea/Biscuits plus water provided FOC in a fridge. There's an iron, hairdryer and ironing board. There's also a wall mounted fan which was lovely and quiet.Everything just lovely. We returned to the bar after a meal out and it has a lovely atmosphere. Drinks reasonably priced (about £9 for a large white wine and a pint of cider).Breakfast was really lovely - I had a full on breakfast bap (sausage, egg and bacon) and my wife avocado, poached eggs on toast with Orange juice and, not surprisingly, amazing coffee.Stay here. We will again.

We picked the coffee tavern from booking.com. When we arrived in Warwick, we called the business and asked where we could park. He answered our questions and catered to our requests with professionalism and confidence. Drinks were well priced and service was friendly and efficient. The garden area is well worth a visit, it’s a hidden gem! The bedroom, on the top floor was immaculately clean. Breakfast on Sunday was amazing, the portion size was perfect, loads of avocado and salmon! Service by a lovely Scottish man during breakfast was the icing on the cake. The Old Coffee Tavern always fits the first criterion on our trips to Warwick so I was delighted to find it’s also put reassuring social distancing measures in place. Met at the entrance, hand sanitiser provided, guided through the one way system to the (lovely sunny) back garden, and tables spaced apart. Popped in Thursday afternoon for lunch, the atmosphere was great, seemed bustling despite the new post-lockdown restrictions. New brilliant one way system put in place with clear signage, staff are quick and attentive as table service is mandatory now, which only adds to the experience. Had lunch and a beer, food was fantastic. Menu is great considering things have had to be reduced slightly due to the new ways of a post pandemic world. Would definitely recommend for great food and brilliant beer.

Our first family trip to a pub post lockdown! Fantastic! A Saturday early afternoon, food and drinks with my son and a close friend, our first trip out since the craziness of lockdown. Clear signs, one way system and hand sanitizer galore! Friendly and efficient staff all attentive yet not bothersome, especially as now it has to be table service! Everything was clean and well looked after; especially considering everything has been shut down for almost 4 months! The food was perfect pub food as you would expect and the beer was soooo cold and fresh! A loving caring atmosphere and very family friendly. There is a clear wait to be seated sign at the door with a hand sanitizing station for you to use whilst you wait for the staff to grab you and give you a little breakdown of rules whilst you enter. On a side note I’m from a hospitality background and I was so pleased to see how this “new world phase” has gone forward but Please be patient as customers guys there are so many rules in place to JUST keep us all safe and I felt very safe there, buzzing after our first trip out!

We have stayed here 3 times now. The rooms as always are excellent. However we were really disappointed with the bar area..has it got new management? It looked shabby when we got there, not as welcoming as it used to be. The daytime menu was also disappointing ie where have all the little tapas type snacks gone, they used to be amazing. We ordered a sandwich and chips which again I could of done better myself. .thin white bread a bit of ham and one slice of tomato £8 !!. Such a shame as its a great building in a prime position with excellent rooms even though this year the english breakfast is not included in the price. Stay here by all means but much better places to eat.

Went last Sunday with family. Excellent roast dinner. I eat out regularly and this is definitely the best for a roast dinner so far. It was plentiful and well cooked with an extra gravy without being asked. The food was hot too, something you don't find often.

We popped in for a last minute Sunday roast at 1:30 and they had a few tables left however they were quickly taken up so we got there just in time! Great choice of spirits and beers. Was hoping for a non-alcoholic wine but I’m aware this is still yet to take off so opted for a Nanny State - my first ale and it was tasty! We ordered a beef and a pork roast dinner and we were not disappointed. Vegetables cooked to perfection, as were the potatoes. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Really relaxed open atmosphere. We were worried our food would take forever as a big party had just come in, but they had preordered a buffet so all good!!Very happy Sunday lunch!!

We stumbled across this restaurant while visiting Warwick one lunchtime this week. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and I had a fabulous steak. Would have been 5 stars but for the wine, it was very good but a bit pricey. Thoroughly recommend, we would definitely go there again.

We stopped here for a coffee whilst visiting Warwick. They have nice big comfy sofas (with plugs for charging!) and the coffees and service were both great so I would certainly recommend!

We came here firstly just for drinks which was very nice on its own but came back for a roast dinner on Sunday. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest roast dinners i have ever had and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely revisit if we are ever in Warwick again. Good work guys!

Popped in for a bite to eat whilst in Warwick. It’s a little rough around the edges but clearly popular. We had a Cumberland sausage sandwich and chips we shared and it was delicious.

A beautiful old building dating back to 1800’s. Room 10 is large and has a lovely original fireplace. The bathroom is huge with separate bath and shower. Even has a fireplace too. The staff were really lovely and very friendly. Had a very nice meal one evening - again, the staff were attentive. Fantastic breakfast - the granola with yoghurt was best I’ve ever tasted. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Booked a table for Christmas Day lunch and were not disappointed. Lovely canapés with a glass of bubbly preceded our tasty starters of butternut squash soup for me and goat’s cheese and beetroot salad for my wife. My wife had the traditional turkey for mains and I had venison, served as it should be, rare and pink - melt in the mouth! Nothing was rushed, with plenty of time between courses. Before our deserts we were served a delightful little amuse bouche. The service was first rate with staff attentive to our every need without being overbearing. Unlike other places we’ve tried (e.g. The Saxon Mill) they hadn’t crammed extra tables and chairs into every nook and cranny which meant the atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely return for other family events and certainly will book for next Christmas. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Although we didn't eat here, we did stop for a cold bottle of chardonnay and a coffee, and the building is very impressive. We sat at the front window and watched the world go by. The only thing that I wasn't too keen on was a man had an Alsatian with him and it was sprawled out over one of the benches - always worries me when animals are allowed inside food establishments - apart from that, it is worth a visit.

I have just been here and had ordered the half roasted ‘cooked’ chicken. I couldn’t eat much of it because part way through eating, I’d cut into the chicken to find it under cooked as you can see from the photos.

Poor choice of ales and not made to feel welcome, landlord doesn’t make an effort to get to know the regulars and is in danger of alienating the few they have

A diamond boozer, as we used to say back in London - this local bar puts many gastro pubs shame with its low prices and quality cooked breakfast and mains. The full Irish is brilliant value - a mega for just £8 including a tea, coffee or juice is easily the cheapest around and uses quality ingredients to boot - two sausages, two bacon, two eggs plus mushrooms, hash browns, beans, tomatoes and toast. The mains list is plain but tasty,mI recommend the jerk chicken (Jamaican origin chef) or the burger (house ground beef by the proprietors). You can add egg, bacon, cheese for no extra charge! Burger, chips and salad for £8. They have a good range of beers and needless to say, the Guinness's is well kept and delicious. A local treasure.

We rocked up with 2 large families with young children. The staff were very friendly. Most of us had hot chocolates, and they were probably the best tasting hot chocolates we've had in a long time. And very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again and recommend.
