We were returning to the pub which had been a favourite in the past. It was overpriced and underwhelming. Untidy area to sit in outside where music was permanently on (It was on a loop and “The Landlord liked it on”! ) Won’t be going back in a hurry.

Booked a night's stay when working down in Cornwall. The room is triple aspect which is nice, however looking out the window you are looking into the eyes of pub goers sitting at outside tables. Perhaps some net curtains or privacy film on the lower half of the windows? 3 pillows on the bed -- all as flat as a pancake. Dirty mirror, water and tea in the room tasted like gravy (not potable water I would guess) and at 9am the following morning drilling ensued right out the window (to the pub - not a neighbour). For the cost I would expect a little better. Nice pub, but didn't eat /drink.

We called in advance to book as there were 9 of us. A quirky old pub with lots of rooms and corridors. A great staff member who looked after us even though she was the only person serving! She ran the bar and food, gave us great service and the food was lovely. Have the fish and chips it was great. There is a large garden area and a carpark opposite. Check out Mullion Cove after.

A lovely overnight stay at this old Inn. I was attending a wedding reception nearby and booked overnight at the Old Inn. It was basic but clean and incredibly good value for money. I was surprised to learn that the rate included breakfast, which was very welcome. The staff were very friendly, and it is dog friendly. I would stay here again if in the area. Breakfast was amazing, just what I needed the next morning.

New Chef is great. Good portion size for the main meals and value for money. The dessert portions are small when considering the price but that wouldn't put us off eating here again.

This is the first time going to this pub for a meal and I can honestly say I had the best pizza I have ever had ( chicken, mushroom and blue cheese). The staff were friendly and very accommodating as we had not booked a table. We all had different meals and all of us really enjoyed them. Loads of tables had reserved on them and I'm not surprised you need to book. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anybody.

Friday 25th August 2023, After visiting Mullion Garden, my husband and I were in need of refreshments, so we crossed the road to go for a drink at the thatched inn called ‘The Old Inn’ in Mullion. We entered within and were given a nice welcome by the bar man and some of the locals. Jim’s dog really liked us and even rolled on my feet and gave me her tummy to tickle. My husband had a pint of ‘Doombar’ bitter and I had a ‘Rattler’ Cornish cider, we then found a nice seat in ‘The Bookroom’, which also served as the community library, were we sipped our drinks and chatted for an hour. This is a friendly place to visit if you are in the area.

If the food is bad enough the service definitely is! My mother had an entire pint of beer dropped over her by the waiter who didn’t even apologise! Ok they didnt charge us for the drinks removing them from the bill on paying but the fact the food is so basic didn’t help fix the experience. This pub should be amazing. The building is old and charming the internal layout is fine but the quality of the staff and the food mean it’s definitely worth a miss. It’s a shame as a pub should be the centre of a village but this one needs new owners and Mullion deserves better! Personally I will never go back there!

Well first off all the owner is so very rude , we came last year and spent a lot of time in here, the lady behind the bar who we thought owned it was great, returned this year, the lady was still there and went in a few times for drinks, still friendly, one night we went in for food , they messed our order up, also forgot our starter, food very basic ( not worth the price) but as we liked the lady we thought owned it we went back the next day, we took an elderly local man who we had befriended, he was disappointed as the local chip shop was closed and had bought a sandwich, so we said come with us we will buy you some chips to go with his sandwich, so we ordered food and him some chips to go with his sandwich, I totally get we’re they were coming from re him eating his sandwich outside even though we had ordered drinks and food , but the real owner came out so rude to this gentleman man , he actually did put his sandwich away but older people are not very fast and her very rude remark was disgusting, I was so ashamed , the poor waitress was very kind but for a manager to speak like that was disgusting, wouldn’t mind if the food was nice but it’s just basic, and pricey, really spoilt it caus we come to this beautiful village every year , and loved having a few drinks in here, but I will not return to this pub, manors and respect cost nothing,

Pizzas are advertised as stone baked, which makes you think they'll be nice but they're really not. Hardly any toppings and no mozzarella, they're using a thick layer of cheddar instead which makes the pizza heavy and salty. Onion rings are cut too thin, not drained and need some sort of seasoning in the batter. Drinks are good, but really felt like it was £60 down the drain because of the poor food.

This year we decided to visit Cornwall again and wanted to visit this place so booked a year in advance , as a stop off from our Isles of Scilly vacation. Everything was fine until today 3 days before we were due to stay. We received an email from booking.com that the hotel had changed its policies and they could no longer accommodate us. I would understand this if we had just tried to book , but a year on and no other accommodation available, how can they do this to us. This has never happened to us before, I can only think it’s greed and they have a better offer. No explanation given or even a call. Very poor, we will never book there again and please be very wary of booking this place, if they leave you stuck without accommodation

I would have given 4 stars but the staff here are so obsessed about the one way system; they take it too far. Don’t bother even speaking to staff until everyone, including children, check in on the app. Any time you get up , you have to walk round the whole perimeter. Try to pay the bill, told to walk back round the one way system again even though there was nobody around. I did end up getting an apology about this as even staff realised they were going too far.

The Old Inn at Mullion is a great place to stay. The newly refurbished bedroom and bathroom are a credit to the management. Dining there is good with lots of choices for dinner and breakfast is cooked to order . The staff are a credit to the establishment. Definitely will go back to stay.

In the current climate it is expected dining out would be different, menus reduced to maybe skeletal menus and staff kept to a minimum and maybe this had been considered here. But, the menu was extensive, no waiting for service, a good one-way system in place, making the initial concerns of safety totally uncalled for.The welcome was great, the restaurant was spotlessly clean, service was quick and the food was very well prepared. This restaurant also appears to have not inflated it's prices, a very welcomed thought. The experience was great, a fantastic ambassador for Mullion and Cornwall, It is well worth a visit - any time.Thank you.

On Holiday for a week , we decided to try the food at The Old Inn [ Mullion ].. Once we opened the door we felt at ease, one way system in place , trace and trace / phone number and postcode given to the lady behind the bar .I was happy to do this as other establishments seem happy with you just scanning the track and trace APP, for me this showed me that the owners are caring for their customers. The food was excellent , I had Hunters Chicken , other half had veggie burger. Waitress was very helpful and had a pleasant manner the Pub as a relaxed atmosphere and if you like 70s music like me then you will love it. see you next year .

we were in cornwall for a few days ,we did booked this hotel at first then decided to stay in a more central location for travelling out for days so why we were in cornwall thought we would pop in to see what it was like & i must say so glad we decided to book somewhere else because we came in for a drink with the intension of having lunch & found the lady & young man behind the bar to being not friendly & not welcoming so we had a drink & left such a shame because it was a lovely little Inn .

Visited with hubby a while back and was really put off with going in, immediate sense of a hostile environment and didn't want to be served by a manager who slanders their employees. Walked by recently to find new management had taken over and the place has been on the up. Friendly staff, good food, and happy to visit any day of the week

This pub has such amazing views and so much potential, we stopped in a very quiet pub on a Sunday afternoon for a drink and snack after a walk but were very quickly ready to go. We were pounced on at the door asking what we wanted, then despite the pub being nearly deserted were told to sit by a table of two families with noisy toddlers. We were then told that we couldn't order with the staff at the table despite there being a number of them or at the bar where there were more staff despite them clearly having multiple tills. We had to order on our phones or on the mcdonalds kiosks. All very odd, like some sort of covid hangover where the owner has decided that they would prefer to not have to speak to the customers, had my children not been so thirsty and tired i would have taken the family elsewhere. The qr code we had to scan wasn't printed properly so that took as while, there is no phone reception so you have to join their wifi which is slow. After registering for their website trying to navigate the order webpage takes time as it hasn't been very well designed or mobile optimised, clunky and again slow. After about 15 minutes i managed to place an order on my phone. A few minutes later before the drinks came a bowl of reheated £5 chips and a handful of sauce sachets, after a few more minutes some tiny cups of tea in glass mugs and some £4 kids drinks. No check back, no upselling, nothing, we would have spent more had it not been so painful. The older generation wont cope with all of this for a cup of tea. Busy carpark but no apparent customers, i should imagine full of tourists in season, this place would stand no chance without the views or against some competition. I honestly don’t remember when i last felt so uncomfortable in a pub, a great example of rip off Cornwall.

This is a pub that sells drinks not food. I can only comment on a pint of Tribute being £3.35 at weekends and £3.15 on weekdays (dynamic pricing). A great pint at an amazing price being almost £2 cheaper than where I live!! The pub also shows a lot of sport having 5 or more massive TVs dotted about. Always good to find such a venue. A few tables have a good view of the harbour but most don’t There is also a pool table

Massively overpriced lunch that did not live up to expectations. Apparently the two roasts that were had on the table were good, but the hake and mash two of us ordered that sounded delicious, was measly portioned and bland. For £27 it needs to be better. The soy butter sauce was watery and bland. The mash was oily and poorly made. The fish was cooked well but there was too little of it for that price. The barn-like dining hall wasn’t great either - last time we went (some years ago) it was still the old pub, and all the better for it. Won’t be back.
