Would give this place 10 stars 🌟 if possible!!! Ate & drank here last week, the food is beautiful, fresh & tasty, would highly recommend. Had pizza on our last night, they were lovely, Would definitely eat there again & again & again!!!!

Diabolical service. I would strongly advise visiting the Old Albion Inn or The Cornishman instead. Both of these are a two minutes walk away in Crantock village. The Offbeat Bar prioritises select customers. While queuing politely, waiting to be served, ‘John’ waltzed up. The staff knew John who I assume is a regular. They immediately served him as a priority.

Best meal we’ve had all weekend, homemade beef burger was the best I’ve had. Very affordable, children happy too, food looks and tastes great will definitely return when we come back to Crantock

Always have a seafood pizza,fries and onion rings when having a takeaway.If eating in this may differ. The food is always lovely and service is prompt and friendly. The beer always first class again with good friendly service. A nice holiday atmosphere inside the bar.

We have eaten here a couple of times, and the food is really good and the staff are very nice. The pizzas are so good.

You’ll struggle to get any better food or service within a 10 mile radius of this venue. It was better than any others tried.

Amazing food and great friendly service. Eaten in the area at pubs and restraunts over many yearly holidays at Crantock, but my meal was so good on Tuesday we came back Wednesday.

This is definitely the place to go. The food is superb and very reasonable priced.. The beer/wine selection and cocktails are great and not too expensive . The owners are lovely and make you very welcome. Great place 😁 It's about £14 a main course so really good valve. The portions are quite substantial as well. I would rate it 5*

Great diner and bar on campsite. Food is good. Takeaway service. Good choice of ales although a little dearer than pub prices. Possibly get more custom if drinks were a little cheaper. Nice clean decor and dog friendly. Outside area with decent viewin part.

Stumbled across this place last year when on holiday and returned again several times this year whilst staying at the Parkdean caravan park. Sampled a variety of options from the dinner menu, all delicious but the Thai curry was a real surprise - so tasty! Puddings are the best too. Having sampled a lot of food in Cornwall this is definitely a favourite and really good value, you won’t be disappointed. Dog friendly too. Will definitely be back next time.

Excellent service, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere - a hidden gem! I had the rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Well what can I say. Absolutely great bar, very very cool decor, happy smiley staff, splendid variety of drinks for all tastes and the food, oh yes, the food. I visited with a group of five friends and we all tried something different, and all the meals came out perfectly cooked. My wife had steak which was cooked to perfection and for that alone to be served at the same time as the other meals and all perfect, well thats just genious. And I really can't believe how reasonably priced it all was. Anyone visiting Crantock, or actually Newquay or the surrounding area and looking for a little gem, visit. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Matt and crew and see you next time we're down your way.

As the name puts it its off the beaten track but we'll Worth a visit . Friendly welcoming don't even scratch the surface the food is amazing the cider is cold 👍👍👍.

Lovely little place, became a highlight of our holiday as not many facilities. Nice place to relax and have a drink, very comfortable and staff really friendly. Food was really delicious.

Cannot recommend this Bar/Restaurant enough, absolutely amazing. No faults whatsoever, the food was sensational. Attached a few photos for all to see. Genuinely Unbelievable. Definitely deserves more business, they sit just in front of Crantock Beach caravan park so people may not stumble across it. Give it a try!🙌🏻💯

Superb Sunday Lunch, also alcohol free Thatchers Cider

We had Thai curry, off beat burger and margherita pizza. All 3 were amazing, the Thai curry i had was so full of flavour, my wife said the burger was the best she had ever had and the pizza was a proper fresh sour dough base pizza. Chilled atmosphere and excellent service. Great friendly place to eat and enjoy a few drinks.

Everything is amazing about this place! Every year we come back to this place and it never fails us,we brought friends with us this year and they were taking back by the amazing food and great service aswell,Tried the breakfast before we left today aswell and I would also give that 5 stars aswell!

I had the bhaji burger. Superb presentation and flavours. Real homemade patty made with care, top ingredients and cooked to perfection. Staff were smiley, bubbly and welcoming. The vegan option of this burger would also be delicious for sure! I had a pizza last night and that was exceptional too. So much so that I had to leave a review! Top work all!

We visited whilst staying at Crantock beach holiday park and what a little gem of a place this is! Staff are all friendly, dogs welcome inside which was so lovely. Food reasonably priced and beautiful! Will certainly return again when we come to the area!

Have tried several things on the menu during our stay and absolutely everything has been delicious. We'll presented with staff who are attentive and more than happy to assist with our son who quite literally made his own menu and was quite specific with everything. They went above and beyond to ensure our daughter had a lovely birthday. Drinks are well presented and you've absolutely got too try a glass of Pimms on a hot afternoon looking out into the breathtaking scenery. DOGS allowed while for us is a huge bonus! The toilets and entire premises were immaculate each time we went in. Prices are very fair considering the amount of high quality ingredients used. Can't wait for our next visit.

A must visit. Such friendly people. Lovely atmosphere close to our caravan park where the food isn't great. The food here is probly the best food we've eaten while being here for 2 weeks, would highly recommend a stop here and il definitely be coming back

Great little place, out of the way. Peaceful with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. We were staying at a holiday park close by that had its own bar / clubhouse but we much preferred it here and visited a few times whilst there. We didn't try the food so cannot give it a rating.

Excellent little eatery, food, service and atmosphere best we have experienced in our stay at Parkdean Crantock Beach. Cornish hottie pizza is best I have had, lovely pepperoni and jalapenos. Dog friendly too. Many thanks for making our evening fabulous.

Highly recommend this bar and restaurant. Go in every time we stay at the campsite. Much more convenient than an expensive taxi into town and why would you want to go anyway?! Food is amazing (recommend the pizza and the steak), great selection of drinks. Beer garden, log fire on colder nights and great atmosphere 👌🏼

We've eaten here many times. The inside has been done up nicely and had a cosy atmosphere and small decked area outside.

We have spent nearly 2 weeks down here and the off beats bar is one of the best the steak is amazing the burgers, pizza the food is definitely worth the money I totally recommend this place and as long as they are open for business we will be coming back for more

Excellent food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere - well worth a visit. We stayed on the campsite May & Aug 2022 and had both breakfast and tea here on several occasions.Isaac and Amy were always polite and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. We will be back next year :-)

Recently visited crantock and this little on sight pub, didn’t disappoint, great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Everyone was kind and polite. The food was amazing, no complaints whatsoever. When I’m back in town I’ll be sure to visit again.

What a lovely place this is. All staff very welcoming and hardworking. Food amazing -especially the goats cheese and fig dish. Lovely atmosphere with just amazing sunsets and super moon! We also had breakfast there before Gen Z went off to Boardmasters. Food was well cooked, not greasy and enough choices to suit all tastes. Great coffee too! See you next year!

dinner was great and the service also. We had a table for 6 at short notice and all the food came out together.

The new venue has been done up lovely. As soon as you walk through the door the staff greet you and are so friendly. This is our third time we have come in the last week. Straight away the ask you how your day has been and are so nice. I fancied a milk shake and nothing is too much trouble not even on the menu and the manger said of course we can do it. I recommend this venue if you fancy a drink home from home.

Fantastic food, fantastic staff, fantastic views.This is not your typical campsite eatery. The food is amazing and very well priced, not your usual frozen rubbish. Outdoor or indoor seating, exceptionally clean and fresh. The staff are always helpful even when busy, nothing is ever to much. Well worth a visit local or not. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic place, we popped in on the offchance on our way home having seen about it on facebook, and found a warm welcome, awsome chicken curry special, all home prepped food, nice local beer selection. It’s obviously recently been refitted and feels fresh, clean and bright, theres even a modest kids playground in the campsite.

Amazing evening! We are staying on the (brilliant) site and booked a table. Our plans changed (hungry children with a craving for pizza) so we explained to the lovely staff that we needed to move our table to a different night- the staff we happy to help. We went to the village and to Jam Jar. We were fobbed off by rude staff and waited with 3 other families for over 30mins only to be told they had run out of dough and turned away. Cue a mad rush back up the hill with crossed fingers that Offbeat would be able to accommodate us after all! We were not disappointed! They could not have been more accommodating! And the food!! Genuinely delicious! We had the tastiest house made hand rolled cheesy garlic bread to kick off along with fresh nachos with creamy guacamole! Then we moved on to homemade burgers grilled to perfection and a steak that was delish. The kids were thrilled with their food which was generous and tasty (chicken goujons and almost-adult size burgers) Skin on chips- 10/10! All finished off with authentic espresso martinis. We will be back later in the week (for the live singer and the pizzas!) - looking forward to it! A lovely atmosphere!
