We have been going to The Oaty Goat for sometime now as it is local and we do like to support a local business. We usually go for breakfast early on our way back home from family in London to beat the M25 traffic. The food has always been good and we look forward to our visit. Having come back off a fortnights holiday at midnight last night, with nothing in the house, we were happy to do our normal breakfast run. As my husband put it "it was the worse breakfast" he had ever had there. He ordered avocado on sourdough with two poached eggs. Twice while at the counter he was asked what type of bread and how many eggs. When it was delivered to the table there was no avocado and when I queried it the answer was there must have been a mistake and he hadn't paid for it! As for the eggs, there is no way they were poached and had clearly been fried. I think we all know what a fried egg looks like. I am not sure if the standards of service and food have gone down because they have expanded but I think we will have to look elsewhere as there is a choice locally. Very disappointed.

Well after reading the reviews we have visited twice now and I must say it is average at best. The bacon rolls are dry and bacon overcooked. Baked eggs on toast , the bread is nice but the eggs look like they have been ' baked' for hours not even close to being runny. The green tea comes as a tea bag in the cup , can not remember the last place I went to that does not have single serving teapots. The latte was fine. However I do like the decor of the place it is welcoming. Oh and the staff need training , if there is an empty table with dirty plates on pick them off as you walk by. We sat there on Sunday and watched one staff member walk past the table three times and another walk past twice before someone bothered to clear it up.

Visited today to try the seasonal drinks and lunch menu, we were impressed with how attentive and polite the staff were. It was busy but we easily found seating and the service was fast. We had the gingerbread latte which was delicious and neatly presented. The lunch Pastrami melt was delicious, the sourdough bread and quality of the food was fantastic. I also bought some of their own coffee beans before I left, will definitely be coming back to try more of the food!

First time I’ve been for breakfast, great menu choice both for myself and vegetarian friend. Food was tastefully served and hot, I had breakfast tater tots and my friend the vegetarian version, highly recommend. Our highlight was our tea being served in a teapot with a smaller pot containing hot water. Only one disappointment when we ordered a second pot of tea our hot water came in a cup. Highly recommend a visit

Popped in for brekkie whilst waiting for car to be cleaned and shops to open. Lovely ambience and very friendly staff who were smiley and attentive whilst not overly so. Had the oaty brekkie sourdough roll with bacon and sausage and a cup of tea and it was all lush. A little gem I’d recommend visiting if you are in locks Heath area. Only criticism, and it’s minor and probably just my preference, but the brown sauce isn’t HP. 😉

I only discovered the Oaty Goat last year as it is tucked away in a corner of Locks Heath shopping centre (next to the big chemists). I’ve had coffee here several times now as it’s so nice, my oat latte was as good as any I’ve had. Today I ate there for the first time & tried the Caesar salad, it was fabulous! I liked that the dressing was given in a separate pot so you can control how much you have. All the ingredients were fresh and plentiful. It looked so good I was asked what I was having by a passer by. I’ll definitely come back for another one. I’m not sure they need me to tell you what a great place it is because at 12.30 today it was rammed, but it’s bigger than it looks and has plenty of seating so always worth a try. The service is really friendly and it’s got a great relaxed feel to it. It’s a lovely little spot and I will be popping in again!

We ordered the fish goujon ciabatta rolls and the Caesar salad, both dishes were delicious and I can honestly say that it was the best Caesar salad that I have ordered to date and I will definitely be ordering it again!! The staff are lovely and the service is super efficient. We have visited several times now and have ALWAYS enjoyed our meals here.

My new favourite to go place, to catch up with friends, cosy friendly atmosphere. We both ordered the pancakes with strawberries/ice cream stack. Wow, what value and quality. I would highly recommend. Can’t wait to have lunch there, the food looked tantalising and beautifully set out, looking at other orders.

Group of old friends from far and wide reunited here on Friday lunchtime, unfortunately for a sad occasion. Landlady could not have been more understanding and welcoming and did all she could to make us comfortable. Food was lovely, atmosphere friendly and relaxed. A lovely place to spend time with loved ones and enjoy their company. Thank you.
