★★★★★ I visited The Nook during a group cycle ride, and we were warmly welcomed. This place is a gem, offering a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks in lovely surroundings, complete with attractive artwork on the walls. I had the Cornish pasty, which was piping hot, delicious, and generously filled. The fresh and crunchy salad that accompanied it was how I liked it. As someone who enjoys supporting independent businesses, I highly recommend this fabulous coffee shop. It’s a must-visit if you’re heading to the barn next door or looking for a cosy spot with delicious food.

If you want fantastic home made food. This is your place. The home made soup is warming on a cold day and delicious. It was hard to choose because it all looked tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. We even had takeaway cakes and sailusage rolls for tomorrow's lunch. 😋

Good food and friendly staff but no heating on a cold February day, so I felt cold and had to eat ,sitting in my hat and coat. From Karen

Good selection on the menu, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating. Very cosy inside, great location near the antique and craft centres.

A fab breakfast again at Bay Tree. Tried the Poutine fries, chicken gravy, cheese curds with a poached egg on top. Really recommend the food, flat white coffee and the Bay Tree experience

Simply the best sandwich shop you'll ever find. Fantastic sandwiches, baps, wraps etc and the lady who owns the shop and her staff are all fantastic. If you are in Bury St Edmunds and don't get your lunch here then you've missed out on the best value lunch there is

Visited on Saturday (Easter Bank Holiday Weekend). Friends that had not seen each other for over 34 years - wrong place to visit as it was impossible to sit & talk over dinner. There was a huge group of dinners that were incredibly loud. Shouting & singing as was someone’s birthday. Not a party pooper but it was really not acceptable or fair on other people eating. They were basically screaming & singing at the top of their voices. Food was nice but not what I would call amazing. Meat was cooked lovely. Drinks (cocktails & non cocktails) were OK. Non alcoholic mojitos need working on and I did send the drink back once as didn’t taste like a mojito. The new drink was no different. Really hoping the experience (noise level) was a one off as it really did need addressing but when I looked towards the bar, all staff were just staring at the group…eventually the owner went over but it was a little late. It would have been better to address this as soon as it started. Would I visit again? Maybe..Bury St Edmunds has so much choice of amazing places to eat so would try them first…..
