We were staying at Hunton on holiday and wanted a local cafe so that we didn’t have to drive too far, ‘The Nest’ did not disappoint. What an incredible location, really friendly staff and gorgeous scones. Given that my Mum made thousands of them when we had a restaurant (and hers were always delicious), she gave 10/10 for the cherry one and I’d give the same rating for my yummy cheese one. If you like scones, stunning views and cute animals, this is the place for you!

Very disappointed. Not a warm welcome and the place and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Only good thing was the view of the dales. Won’t be returning.

Coffee excellent, food all fresh daily, we had sausage roll and cheese scone, both excellent. Seating areas are top quality and outside area has great views due to glass partitions. Staff friendly and lady cook is a real character.

Outside seating was dog friendly - even Elvis the alpaca greeted us warmly. Stunning view over to Pen Hill in the west; sunny terrace in the middle of countryside, in which to enjoy a very tasty brunch.

Food was good but tables were not wiped down when cleared leaving crumbs and cup marks behind. We weren’t given an itemised bill so was overcharged by £2 which fair enough isn’t a lot but soon mounts up if it’s done several times a day. A bit disappointed as it had been recommended.

It’s more than “just a cafe” Yes it is a lovely cafe but it is also a great spot to sit look at the view and take in the selection of lovely animals they have on site. Small goats, sheep, llamas etc. Had superb brunch and numerous cups of great coffee and albeit a small selection of cakes the ones they have are excellent. Personally can’t fault it. Doesn’t open weekends though but open every day during the week as it’s adjacent a working but extremely well kept business park. Literally minutes from the A1 for anyone going North or South it’s the perfect stop off point with loads of free parking

I have visited on numerous occasions and have received a very warm and friendly welcome. The food.....freshly cooked....to perfection.....every time. Apart from that, I've loved eating my wonderfully prepared food whilst being observed by the most beautiful goats (Ohh...I love them), Llamas and sheep. (Okay, I love them too).......Really worth a visit....Promise you.xx

Stopped off here on our way to Scotland. It’s actually the cafe of a business park. The whole thing has been converted from a farm. There are still a selection of sheep, pigs and alpacas to see. It is small but excellent value. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area, overlooking an animal pen. The coffee and food are great as well.

Came down here to do some work and was taken aback by the beautiful views, hilarious alpacas and great good. I had a bacon sandwich and hot chocolate whilst I was there and they were really tasty. Will be back for sure! What a spot :)

I came here with mam for a cuppa, though partly because another place up the street had closed - at half 2! This is a nice little place with disabled access and a mixed toilet, which I didn't have an issue with. They had just stopped serving food when we got there but we weren't hungry anyway after a cooked breakfast at Mainsgill on the A66.

Cosy and friendly little cafe attached to the Millbry Hill shop but with its own entrance looking out over the bridge and the River Leven in Stokesley. Would definitely recommend the cheese scones.

I've always liked Barkers. It reminds me of the old-fashioned department stores my mum used to drag me around when I was a nipper. Although I didn't relish the prospect all those decades ago, I've developed an appreciation of such a fast disappearing establishment as I've matured. My wife and I live a fair distance away, but we've visited many times over the past 30 years. I'll always remember my wife buying a Phase 8 dress for our oldest daughters wedding in 2007. The choice of products available is impressive, and I've always found the service to be equal to it. Our family will be unwrapping numerous articles on Christmas day that have passed across one of the many counters.

Can’t fault the strawberry picking, but the cafe had ran out of all sorts by 2pm. Pizza’s totally overpriced for the size of them and took ages to be cooked. I appreciate the are cooked fresh on a pizza oven but waiting over half an hour with small, hungry children is not ideal. Ordered a ‘meat’ pizza which was in fact just pepperoni, why it isn’t just advertised as being pepperoni I have no idea. The pizza edges were burnt to a crisp (inedible) not the best experience overall won’t be in a rush to return.
