The Naaz Tandoori Indian Restaurant in Mansfield

I doubt, its Indian cuisine. Hard to say, even if i want to. Overall rating may be 3 or less. Food was very average. I dont think I am going again

Absolutely beautiful, the service is explicable, nothing is ever too much trouble. All look happy and welcoming, fabulous place and we’ve been going 20+ years. The food is always outstanding, and very reasonably priced. The best around in our opinion.

Tried these guys for the first time tonight and I was impressed with my food ,perfectly on time nice and hot good tasting rice and the mixed khari was to die for although I didn’t get any prawns which it said on the menu however because of the quality of the rest of the food I’ll give you the 5 stars you must of forgot my prawns so what great food anyway

Unfortunately our evening was spoilt by the people on the next table who spoke loudly and used foul and vulgar language continuously despite having two young children with them. We couldn't understand why we had to sit next to them as the restaurant is quite large and other tables were available. The food was good and staff pleasant but it was a very unpleasant evening and we left as soon as we could because of this despicable group. We're not blaming the restaurant but we won't be returning if that's the sort of clientele it attracts.

Great taste , good value, would have been been 5 stars without excess oil. That was the only thing that let it down. We eat curry wherever we go and I would have preferred it a little less oily. That said, taste was 100% spot on and so was everything else. We will return but I may put in the comments when I order for it not to be as oily. Each to their own maybe I’m being too picky.

Takeaway meal for my daughter and I was excellent as has every meal, either in house or takeaway, that I have had from Naaz since I moved here in 2019.

So had a really nice meal. Not been since 2019 so was good to go back after so long. Service good. Just shame had the loudest table next to us, they had young children but where swearing regular and vulgar. So ruined atmosphere. But hey ho they sure brought some money in.

I had Poppadoms along with the usual aray of pickles etc, a Reshmi Kebab that was absolutely tasteless and was little better than a large burger packed into a light omlette, and as for the Korma I had that was no better than an off the shelf Pataks sauce but somewhat watered down. Wont be bothering again I am afraid

We had poppadoms & pickles, 2 chicken tikka s & 1 rice came to £29,15. The chicken tikka was brown in colour & totally disgusting 1st time we've ordered in a while & will definitely be the last.

1st time ordered a takeaway, food was PIPING hot. Had 2 pints whilst waited, nice clean, refreshing drink, atmosphere was quite busy 3 or4 tables eating 2or 3 waiting for takeaways, Very Clean and smelling clean, Food was excellent well labeled and packed (love the small carrier box) that good Ive just ordered again.

Visited here when first opened after lockdown initially. Was great. Visited again last night - AWFUL - not at all COVID secure in any way. Last time, tables were spaced out, a one way system in place, tables sanitised and staff wore masks. Last night it looked so busy and full it looked like a Saturday night at Christmas. No masks worn by staff, they came close to take orders and tables crammed in. Everything had gone back to the old normal. Sorry Naaz, you’ve lost a good customer now in us ☹️

Naaz is by far the best Indian food in Mansfield for quality Indian cuisine with great friendly staff.

We had a fundraising awareness night at the Naaz restaurant and the capacity was full to the max. I have to say that the owner Kassa Miah and his team of staff made it an absolute pleasure to be there. All the food was served on time, will very polite and accommodating staff and was beautiful food. I would most definitely recommend this place to not only take a meal with company but also consider having your fundraiser at the Naaz. Thank you for such a well coordinated night and will certainly return.

We had a meal mid week at this resteraunt, on entering the building, the modern look gave you a good feel about the place, the 2 waiters were very polite and helpful. Once we had been seated, we noticed how cold it was, my wife and I felt uncomfortable having to sit with our coats on, the food was average, But sat their feeling cold didn't help, might try again in the summer.

Sunday night takeaway!! It was great to see Cam who delivered my food. But that’s were it ends, starter mixed kabab 2 small pieces of lamb, 2 small pieces of chicken and a chicken wing??? And it was cold, main was chicken patia no taste and full of oil that I scoped of the top. Very very disappointed. Sorry for this poor review as I know you can do better but when you spend good money you expect good food .

Go here quite often as in my opinion it's the best indian in Mansfield. Food and service is always amazing!!! Would recommend this place to anyone

Our family enjoyed a wonderful meal here recently and have to say that the way we were dealt withfrom start to finish and the food were excellent. We were greeted upon entering and seated in the waiting area and a drinks order was taken. These drinks were brought to us and our food choices were taken. We were then shown to our table. We found the ambience to be be warm and friendly and the food followed suit. It was plentiful, filling, well presented and very tasty.The price was very reasonable too, at roughly £25 per person including our drinks. We would definitely use again. The only downside is the car park which is small and if people are less courteous you can find yourself struggling to exit at the end of the evening as we did.

The food was exquisite and moderatley priced,Kasa and co done an amazing job as usual. The waiters were alright, there was a young lad who served us who was very nice well mannered and good looking, a pay rise is definitely deserved. This young lad also served at the bar and I gave him a cheeky £2.50 tip when no one was looking. A great place for the family even the kids liked the chutney and the young waiter seems like good boyfriend material.

After waiting 40 mins for a collection we arrived there but they lost our order,they rushed our order through in 10 mins only to find some of the chicken was undercooked we will not be eating there food again, why I gave 1 rating is beyond me

Ordered our food on their website, it said would be ready in 40 mins, arrived and they didn’t know about the order. We then had to wait a further 15mins for them to cook the food. We didn’t receive an apology and the chicken in all 5 curries were undercooked, pink & really chewy. We used to love this Indian but will never be going back now. The worst £50 we have ever spent on food, absolutely disgusting!!!! *****AVOID*****

Called for supper tonight 4/10 after wife been to Nottingham, the restaurant is close to the train station , so met her there. The welcome was excellent we hadn’t booked a table but they said it was no trouble and sorted us one, the food was up to its normal expectations the service very good and quick so another excellent meal

Went tonight with family after coming up from London. The restaurant was reasonably busy but we didn’t have to wait too long to be served. The waiting staff and manager were very polite and attentive. I must admit I’m not brilliant with spicy food but my other half and his brother do love their curries and my brother in law will pop in whenever he’s up this way. We didn’t have to wait long for the food and it was really good! We’re used to eating out in London and this is among the best restaurants we’ve been to.

Fantastic Indian restaurant in Mansfield Woodhouse, two minutes from the shopping centre.

Visited this evening with my wife. Excellent food. Not as good as the Yorkshire curry houses but still very good and by far the best in Mansfield! Poppadoms, starter & mains x 2 including Bombay aloo, rice and naan all for £47.. Decent!

This is our family go to place for birthday celebrations and it never fails to disappoint. Royce and his team always provide excellent service and the food is amazing. You can even order a particular flavour dish and have it at a different heat level- for example, my son likes tikka massala but madras hot. They go out of their way here to give you exactly what you want. We'll be back soon.

As Indian food lovers, we have tried most of the restaurants in the Mansfield District and have found the Nazz the best. Last night we went for a Anniversary meal and had pre-ordered the day before the banquite over night marinated and slow cooked full leg of lamb, best curry dish we’ve ever had! Exceptional service, food and atmosphere, if you wanted to relax with a small informal meal or wanted a special occasion or bigger party they can accommodate with ease.

This is our local Indian restaurant and it never fails to disappoint. Whether we eat in or order a takeaway the meals are always great with lots of flavours and good quality ingredients. They are often busy so if ordering a takeaway expect to be waiting a little while but its worth it. Not one of the cjeaper indian restaurants but you get what you pay for

18 of us went for a birthday meal, best curry I've had in a long time was delious.all meals came out together well presented,hot and tasty. Staff couldn't do enough for you,very happy and friendly place.

Local to us, nicely set out, staff friendly , food very good to above average or other way round, and it comes out hot even if you have it delivered.

The food was lovely but I asked for a glass of medium white wine and got a bottle. Looking at the menu the wine wasn't even listed but upon inspection of the bill it cost us £17.50 Far too expensive in my opinion and wasn't a strong wine at that, so this has put me off going back.

Have dined at Naaz several times and consistantly great food. On the outskirts of Mansfield (in Woodhouse) but easy to find and well worth the visit.

Been several times since June 18 every time fab delicious great service has become our new favourite Indian restaurant shame we have to drive half hour to get there

Thought we would give this restaurant another go. Have not been for over 10 years, has it seemed to go downhill with the service and food. Interior has been changed and is lovely and clean, with very modern décor. Service very quick and welcoming. Started with the obvious poppadoms and pickle tray, and then followed with just a main. I had Chicken Pathia which was gorgeous, and my husband had chicken jalfrezi. Gorgeous garlic naan bread and pilau rice.

Good service, as always in this restaurant. Staff are always polite, friendly and welcoming.

6 of us went early New Year’s Eve for a meal, arrived at 6pm, mains arrived at 8pm!! No comments, no apologies from waiting staff, we asked twice when it would be coming and one waiter went to check and never bothered getting back to us with an answer. Food was hit and miss when it arrived, half the group enjoyed their meals, the rest of us were disappointed especially with the tandoori mixed grill, byriani and veggie rogan josh, the sauces were gloopy and generic. Wouldn’t go back.

There was 11 of us here last night and we all left very full and satisfied! The meals all came out together and were excellent. The staff were very polite and couldn't do enough to help you. Thanks for a great evening and a great end to what was a good day!

We have been several times and have never been disappointed. We had the Christmas set menu, great value and selection of food. We will be back soon- highly recommend!

We went here as a large family group which included a toddler, 8 year old and teenagers. The menu had plenty of meals to choose from so all were happy. The staff here were very polite and helpful but the service was very slow, we had quite a wait between meals which isn't great with irritable children. My husband did not enjoy the restaurant food as much as he enjoys their take away food, strange yes, but I must admit they are different even though it is from the same place.

I previously left a review for this restaurant 3 years ago and it was not good but I have completely changed my mind. I have been a few times as a couple/family. The service was good, the food was amazing. Then last week we came as a group of 71 for a charity night. The food was amazing, all brought out promptly and the staff even joined in with the raffle and they helped us raise £1,100 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Definitely, recommend

Looked at TA and thought this place looks good.Usually one is seated when you ask for Table, this place request you sit in the anti room first.... Oh well each to their own.Shown to my take after I have ordered my food, food took a long time to appear....never mind good food takes time....except it was very average. The dansak, should be hot, sweet and sour...I'm so pleased they told me it was a dansak as it was hot. They must have forgotten to put in the sweet and sour oh and the taste.Fried rice was dripping in oil. The okra was very good. So, I won't be back shame as I thought this would be very special

I have never liked Indian food and even less so after a bad experience in a place in Sussex. However, my husband wanted to try an Indian restaurant so we visited Naaz. As I don't like spicy food I had a korma, with special fried rice which was amazingly good, so was the chicken korma and the garlic naan. What I didn't eat I was allowed to take home (lunch for tomorrow). The place was very busy and I have to say we had to wait quite a bit for the food, my drink was forgotten till I asked, and my husband's coffee was forgotten till he asked! AND...the ice cream described as Italian....ain't. I am Italian and our ice cream is never as tasteless as that. But I would go back, just don't order dessert

We decided to go to The Nazz for a meal on Sunday evening as we've been here numerous times and have never had anything to complain about.The food is beautiful, staff friendly and welcoming and great value for money.The only thing that slightly spoilt it was a very obnoxious man that was in there complaining about his food not being good enough...the fact that he didn't actually know what he was ordering ( even tho the dish had been explained to him) was ridiculous!!! He didn't seem to mind that there were other customers in there trying to enjoy a meal which the manager did point out to him.Apart from the "free entertainment" we had a fab meal as always and will be returning soon, the manager even gave us a lift home which was much appreciated

We've been visiting the Naaz for way in excess of 10 years, yes we'I've tried others in the area but non match NaazI am shocked, saddened and genuinely surprised at some of the negative comments in here, I can only speak from experience, I've never yet seen anyone ignored, I've seen plenty of warm welcomes (with names mentioned if they are repeat customers) and indeed we get the same warm welcome when we visit (and no, the staff do not know who I am via this alias) Great service, great food, I really cannot fault it. If you want a quite evening with a loved one (or business chat) you can plan your visit accordingly, if you want the atmosphere, try and visit on a Friday or Saturday evening (I say try as often booking a table is advisable) The quality is as good now as it was years ago, the only thing that has changed is my experience of trying new dishes (usually taking the recommendation of the waiter) meaning I have a lot more favourites I can enjoy.And as I have said in past reviews, if all else fails, a take-away is a great compromise (though order quickly as they open as they do get busy)

We picked this place instead of ordering off the Center Parcs menu (which charged £10+ for a curry, £3 for rice £3.30 for bhaji !). We did have to collect but it was worth it. Lovely curry, tender meat and great flavour. My dad collected it and was so complimentary about the owner. He was very proud of his restaurant (rightly so according to my dad) and keen to show it off. We all enjoyed the meal and felt it was very reasonably priced too.

On entering the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the restaurant was. I was greeted by a very pleasant man who took my order. I ordered a take-away.I started chatting to one of the staff and found out it was a family run business and he was one of the co-owners. It was one of the nicest Indian restaurant's I had ever seen. He was obviously proud of his establishment and proceeded to show me around. The point I am trying to make is that he and his staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food was packed in a box and as it was quite a big order he took it to my car. The food was delicious and I can't speak highly enough of the staff and excellent food. Thank you very much for your friendliness and excellent service.

Been going here on a regular basis and very happy with the quality and service I receive. Friendly staff and stylish surroundings. Just realised no matter what day or time you go here the food quality and service never changes. So I find this to be a excellent restaurant to go to when you know what to expect when you go, never have to worry that you might get a odd bad meal , well done guys keep up the good work. We have visited the Naaz regularly for many years. The quality of the food is excellent and very consistent, the best tandoori dishes in the area. TheRestaurant gets very busy at the weekends, worth booking in advance.

We visited on Valentines day evening and had the Valentines day meal deal they were doing. This was a great offer.The food was lovely and the staff were friendly. The rose at the end was a nice touch too! A*** highly recommend - we will be returning again soon.

Me and my hubby visited last night and we both enjoy coming here it's our favourite Indian restaurant in town, they always recognise us every time and these days we don't get very much with having a toddler, so it's nice they remember us. The food it's great and they always check to see if everything is good and see if we need any more drinks, we have been to the restaurant at really busy times in the past and always get a great service after visiting other Indians in town I still prefer this one!

The food here is lovely but I found it to be a little on the expensive side for 3 adults and 2 children we paid £111.00 I suppose if 2 adults hadn't drunk 3 pints each the bill may have been smaller.

We've been going to the Naaz for many years, I have always rated the food and the service, I have encouraged family and friends to go there in preference to any other local Indian. Sadly we won't ever go again, food is still good but you continue to give preference to takeaways, leaving restaurant customers waiting.... and waiting....... and waiting. No more we visited tonight for the last time, we've been regular customer since you opened Naz, we've complained about this problem before but you still ignore your restaurant customers for takeaways.

I use Naaz restaurant to eat in and takeaway.The food is generally good, I have used others in the town but end up returning.My last meal there was a Takeaway which was for me and my son.I had a Chicken Tikka manchurian in a Karahi my son had a Chicken Korma with rice, chips & a Chili Garlic Naan.This was very nice and I left nothing.The staff are very nice and polite and if I had issues they were quickly resolved.

Visited for a celebration. Very poor welcome. Food ok. We were a party of six and only one of us wanted a starter so we asked if this could be served with the poppadoms. The waiter told us this was not possible. When we said we'd leave the starter he said he could do it but we'd have to wait. His attitude was rude. Clearly a lot of regulars go there who seemed to be welcomed. I wonder how they turn passing trade into regulars.

Very welcoming. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Good place to eat with your friends. Time to chat between courses would indicate that dishes are made for you alone. Tasty dishes and a few free bits such as chocolate and a liquor to finish a good eating experience.

Had a takeaway from the Naaz and was very impressed with the quality of the food, certainly the best I have had in Mansfield. Lovely fresh ingredients and delivery was on time.

We went to the Naaz tonight to celebrate a birthday. It was not explained to us that we order before being seated, the waiter got snippy when we weren't ready to order. We then asked for drinks and he got snippy again and rushed us to the table where we waited half an hour for our drinks order to be take (we went to the bar in the end).... This was the basic theme of the night with poor customer service, waiting almost an hour for food and snappy waiters. the place looked nice, the food was OK.. But totally let down by evening else. We weren't allowed to take doggy bags despite the fact that we had paid for the food they were throwing away. They clumped our bill together without a breakdown of the costs.. When we asked him to split the bill he again got very high rate and refused to do so. (this is a standard expectation) Overall.... Would not recommend!

I have eaten at some very good Indian restaurants throughout the uk and can honestly say my evening here was very enjoyable. The staff were helpful and gave good advice on menu selections. We were served drinks as soon as we entered the restaurant and gave menus as we sat down. The orders were taken as soon as we were ready, and we had our starters shortly after ordering, came piping hot, and both were delicious. The mains were equally as good and the naan bread was the best I have had, we shared this but on my next visit I'm having one to myself that's how nice they were. The restaurant itself is very clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely be visiting here again, thank you naaz for a lovely meal and an enjoyable evening.

Before today I would have said that it's the place to eat, in fact it would have been a recommendation of mine, and yet now I would call it a miss. We have visited here over the years and it has never been a disappoint and would have been a place I would call my favourite place to eat out. And now I would rather visit a closer to home, better curry house. It took over 45 from ordering to get food, and to make it worse a couple next to us entered as we had been seated, ordered, had a stater, and got their meal the same time as us. It put a bad mood as more than one of us thought this was a bit awful and a stupid amount of time to get food as we must have been there over an hour before getting good. My final point was that they have a lollypop to a 16 year old girl instead of a none alcoholic chocolate. Time is an issue and when it seems they care more about one couple than the other makes the group even more infuriated. It was a real disappointment and definitely a real let down.

Five of us visited the Nazz for my birthday ,from the start of the evening to the end everything was great ,great food,ggreat service all the staff worked extremely hard and the food was freshly cook and hot when it arrived this has to be the best Indian restaurant in the area well-done to all involved ,can,t wait to return.

This restauarant has recently been refurbished and the menu and service is fabulous. Brilliant choice of food and really helpful staff for anyone who isnt sure what they are getting!

I've visited Indian Restaurants in Leicestershire/ Somerset/ Turkey/ Spain/ As well as numerous restaurants in Nottinghamshire yet I always find Naaz to be the best.You can tell they still use a traditional tandoori oven to give their dishes that extra authentic taste and texture that a lot of other restaurants lackI've been visiting this place for well over 15years and every dish has been serviced perfectly, if we don't feel like eating out, a take-away is ordered instead and enjoyed equally in our own home.A great menu with dishes to suit all tastes and taste is certainly the right word.

Had a fantastic meal tonight at The Naaz. Royce recommended me to try a new fish dish cooked in the tandoori oven. It was lovely. Have never had a bad meal here and always made to feel so welcome. Would 100% recommend.

This place was not busy on a Thursday night but busy for take aways.The decor was very clean and modern. Toilets were clean and freshly decorated.The pops tray was small but fresh. The starters were ample in size and tasty. Shashlik starter was speaking . See photo. I had a fish dish that came spicy, was rectified and cooled . Excellent service. Only reason for a 4 was there was only us in.

Called in with family, had not been to Naaz for a few months. The restaurant was quiet, but only a weekday evening.Food and service was excellent as always, very tasty and hot.Will be back again soon, thank you.

Just had the 24 hour lamb, it was a amazing, loads of good food, feed 6 not 4. Must be good even my daughter ate it. Lovely service as normal. Well done Royce great again.

Visiting the area and advised to try this restaurant. I had the house red which was lovely, the onion bhajis were the best we've had for a long time, the chicken dish we had was new to us - can't remember the name - but was tasty. We asked if they did an aubergine dish which we love which wasn't on the menu and were told 'sorry, no.............but I think we do have an aubergine and I'll ask the chef if he'll do it for you' - the aubergine dish was produced and was very very good indeed! We may well return tomorrow, our last evening and we may just bring our own aubergine, just in case!

Since the refurbishment the food seems to be outstanding. Relaxed atmosphere and service allows for a very pleasant meal. HIGHLY Recommended

They customise anything you want but have a great selection on the menu. Great service and amazing food. Highly recommend you all visit and see for yourself!

Visited with a group of 28 after another awesome concert by Blidworth Welfare Band. Service wasn't extremely speedy but gave us time to chat in between courses. Lovely food though, can recommend.

Great local restaurant, good food and helpful staff who will prepare meals as requested that are not necessarily on the menu. Good value and great service.

Really love it here the staff are so friendly and helpful, bend over backwards to help and always go out of their way to help, portion sizes are getting smaller in terms of the meats and poultry though

My husband and I regularly eat here, at least once every two weeks, the food is the best in the area and the staff are great, we always receive excellent service

We love the Naaz, from the food to the staff we have always found this Indian first class (believe me we have tried Indian restaurants all over the world). My husband is reluctant to try his favourite Madras curry anywhere else because he always compairs it to the Naaz and ends up being disappointed! If he fancies a change of curry he asks and they waiter/or owner is always happy to recommend an alternative and even suggest they could do it Madras strength for him.

Was recommended this restaurant by numerous people as the best place to go for a curry. Service slow and not welcoming at all. Food was poor Keema naan was more like a plain naan , currys very were lacking flavour and like water. Not offered 2nd drink , had to wait for the bill. Would not recommend.
