This is the second time that we have visited for breakfast and it is one of the best cafes around this part of Kent. The quality of the food served is excellent and the service is excellent. It's actually fantastic to find a café now that has excellent service! The sausage muffin was lovely - with good quality sausages and the espressos that we had were strong and tasted good. The whole cafe has a lovely atmosphere and is spotlessly clean. The servers are very attentive and helpful. Definitely one of our favourite places to come for breakfast - I must try the cakes next time I come!

Virtually no vegan options except one main meal. My daughter had to pay for a med veg & cheese panini without the cheese & without the coleslaw. We'd had delicious vegan soup on a previous visit, but this time there was no soup on the menu.

Always loved this coffee shop yes its expensive, you could probably get a 3 course meal for the price of a hot meal, and drink here, but non the less the girls are very nice and very clean, everything is kept immaculate after people have left the table, so no complaints there, the only thing that i dont like is when people have finished their meal and drink they sit for ages talking with empty plates and cups on the table, they should be asked to leave the tables to make way for people waiting in line.

I feel I should keep this place to myself as it is very COVID safe (though I have noticed in the last couple of weeks tables getting closer together) and the food and service is both very good and at a good price. It is though getting very busy and may now be squeezing g too many in.

This is a nice clean place with good eats but expensive. The staff are on the ball and always cleaning the areas where people have used. I was not happy with the overpriced soft drink having to pay £2.15 for a small can of diet coke 330ml and they do not have ice.A bit of extortion going on there i think.I can shop at a discount store and get 4 small 330ml cans of diet coke for £2. and they are still making a profit so why is this place so expensive for soft drinks? In another coffee shop i only paid £1.85 for a 500ml diet coke so whats going on.

Come here often and like it, but on this occasion came with my daughter who is vegan. No options for lunch except a curry. Asked if she could have beans on toast with no butter but was told no. In the end I asked again as my daughter had nothing to eat, eventually they said as they were not busy they would do it. I don’t see why it was an issue, it takes quicker to make then anything else on the menu. In the current climate you’d expect vegan options available.

I have been visiting this coffee shop for years and thought it was time to give it the excellent review it deserves! The food is excellent, fresh and tasty. The coffee shop is great for families as high chairs are provided and there is plenty of room for wheelchairs. Well worth a visit.

Went for lunch o Saturday and it was busy but we didn't have to wait long for the food. The cheese and onion chutney was very nice and filling with crisps, salad and coleslaw so excellent value. My wife prawn sandwich was also good. Only issue was that a can of soft drink was £1.95 which I feel is too expensive, I future would just have tap water or tea.

Fabulous food, well cooked & presented by helpful, happy staff. Well worth visiting when you are at the garden centre. They serve cold food as well as cooked & have a lovely selection of cakes, pastries, jams, preservatives as well as sweets & ice cream.

Popped into the Garden centre to pick up a few bits for the cold season, the smell of food was fantastic !!!!! Had no intention of having food, but just could not resist. Pot of tea, cakes, very good indeed. Staff young but a nice change to see young people with manners & a correct demeanour. Overall a good experience, very popular, get yourself in early !

The food here is what you might expect with the range and quality of your average garden centre cafe. The staff are very good - friendly and efficient - and the food is perfectly adequate overall. We go often and expect what is served so are not disappointed. The toilet facilities on the other hand are below standard and managers need to look at this issue as the water isn't hot, the soap gel isn't often sufficient and the whole ambience is unpleasant. Does rather put you off your food...

Called for a catch up lunch with a cousin. Good selection of food. She had the cheese and onion quiche with salad, I had the cold poached salmon with prawns in sauce, salad, new potatoes and baguette. It was very nice but I only had three very small halves of new potatoes and two really small bits of baguette. For dessert my cousin had apple pie and icecream, I had the pancakes with maple syrup and icecream. The icecream is softer freeze from a machine (they also sell cornets and 99s) so very nice. The desserts were a good portion, if I’m being picky then I would have liked a bit more maple syrup. We shared a pot of tea.

Lovely for a quick bit, though portions were very generous. Despite being very busy, tables were clean and staff very attentive. Great for families with ample steaming space (for pushchairs) and very good by changing facilities. Food and drink was very hot and delicious.

Prices for ploughman’s expensive for what you received. Two thin slices of ham , 3 slices of cucumber! A segment of tomato, a few leaves of lettuce, coleslaw, 4 small sweet onions! Pickle and a small baguette. It was fresh and nice but very small potion.

Stopped here for lunch. Staff efficient and busy keeping it tidy. I opted for a cheese and onion toastie the wife had cheese and caramelized onion sandwich, both were served with a small side salad and a few crisps. My toastie was white small bread tasteless cheese and the bread was also tasteless. My wife's bread was not much bigger and again tasteless cheese and the pickle was not caramelized onion. The coffee was the only saving grace. Was it worth the almost £16 we paid for it definitely not.

Had a lovely breakfast here. Portions are very good and food very nice and hot. Reasonable prices too. Only complaint would be that you only seem to be allowed 1 sachet of ketchup each. In such a lovely cafe I think proper bottles of sauces would be better.

Dropped by for a coffee and browse of the garden centre - which also was hosting Santa's Grotto - which has been booked up since August ! a few spaces left if you get lucky though. The cafe was very well presented, on offer snacks and cakes but also homemade lunches, jacket potatoes and our choice a delicious leek and potato soup served with french bread. Staff were very courteous and brought drinks and food to the table - all in all a very pleasant atmosphere.

This coffee shop is situated within the rear of Brookside Garden Centre, It is very clean & well presented. There is a good choice of hot food, pastries & beverages. The tables are cleared promptly and even the floor is swept under & around the table when vacated. It is always busy, reflecting the choice of food, which is sensibly priced. There is a good sized car park to the front & side of the Garden Centre.During the run up to Christmas, there is a fantastic display of Christmas decorations for sale, plus a Santa's Grotto which children & parents will find amazing! Santa' s Grotto opens in November. We would recomend this coffe shop and garden centre.

Pret A Manger has been my go-to spot for my daily coffee for a while now, and I can’t recommend it enough! The coffee is always spot on, just how I like it, and the food is always fresh and tasty. But what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are so friendly and always greet you with a smile, which really brightens up my mornings. You can tell the manager has built a great team here because they all work so well together and seem genuinely happy to be there. It’s not just a coffee shop to me—it’s a place where I feel welcomed every day. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great coffee and even better people, this is it!

Lovely cakes as always but just a word of warning * NUT ALLERGIES BE AWARE * Firstly peanut butter brownies are in the display with multiple other brownies. Not ideal for anyone with allergies. The lady that served us had to be told not to use the same tongs on the peanut products as other products when serving us too. It’s a good job my partners nut allergy is not too severe otherwise we would have to avoided this place. I will be cautious when buying from here again. This was the first time I’ve had anything near an issue with this place so hope it was an anomaly.

My family of 15 including 2 young children always say let’s meet at The George. Throughout the past 13 years, we as a family understand why The George is because we are always welcomed and everyone just welcomes you. The food looks appealing, the menu gives so many options and if you need further persuasion to come and enjoy… it is always full, the way staff always are attentive, warm and a smile, respect and will always put you first as a customer . Debbie and Jason are amazing hosts and make it special for you.

Didn't eat, just a pint with old friends I had not seen for decades. The place now has inside toilets but it's otherwise very much as I remember it. A proper old village pub with a warm welcome. Must try the restaurant some time. The walls are decorated with old clocks and memorabilia, which are for sale.
