Cheapest vegan breakfast you'll find anywhere! The Moon and Cross in Waltham Cross has become our regular spot, and it’s amazing value for vegans. Tons of cafes around here, but none can touch this place’s price—just £2.25 for a full vegan breakfast! I mean, you couldn’t buy all the ingredients for that. The breakfast is solid: two vegan sausages, grilled tomato, mushrooms, beans, two hash browns, and white bloomer toast. Add tea or coffee, and it’s still under a fiver. Bargain! Only a couple of funny moments—sometimes they bring dairy spread with the vegan breakfast, so we’ve had to remind them to switch it out. And once, when I asked to swap the tomato for an extra sausage, they offered me a meat one… which, yeah, doesn’t make sense. But honestly, for the price and taste, I’m not complaining!

Triple American cheese with bacon came with no bacon . Told them and they bring some cold bacon from fridge on a plate

Why have bins been removed from gents toilets? I need to use pads at the moment that need changing. I guess there are facilities in the women's toilets. Not expecting a reply.

Staff very rude shift manger gets excited over trivial matters then tells me she not in the mood 🤣🤣🤣🤣 only asked for a tea bag

This is the most economical place to eat in the UK. I reckon at least the whole whole weather spoons situation

Nice place, friendly staff and other customers. We had Tennessee burger and scampi, chips n mushy peas. Both really nice. Then the brownie and the giant profiterole. Also love that they do thatchers zero. Lovely alcohol free drink at a decent price.

Need to wait long time from that team To at least clear tables, not to mention other things...bit rough place to visit... seen many JDW places...not recommend this one unless shift was short of staff

It's a Wetherspoons pub food and drink always great value for the money spent.

A complete and utter dump. Ignorant staff and customers who both suit each other. Does anyone wash here? Flies everywhere and stench of a pub never cleaned

Went for a few beers and a meal. Beer was good, meal spot on. Had the steak.

Didn't have food on this visit...just a swift pint. Friendly staff, lovely locals giving a nice atmosphere. Sat out front with our pooch in the sun admiring the pretty flowers on display in their borders.

Great for a reasonable priced meal and a drink

As soon as you see this spoons, it jut looks right. It's almost as if it should be on a postcard. As usual the staff were wonderful. Seating outside in front and back of the pub.its probably as classic a spoons as you can get and excels because of it. The Guinness was excellent .

Nice cocktails, but it feels a bit dirty, could do with a refurbished, take the smelly cloth fabric from the chair's and use a fabric that is easier to maintain.

It's value for money, nothing fancy but half the price of some places I've visited in North London recently

Went today and was waiting in the queue for at least 15 minutes, then there were people pushing in and the girl who was a member of staff was very rude and said I didn’t see you waiting. She was very rude. I would not be going there again or recommend it to no one.

Good service.down point keep running out beer last week and Monday.

Clean comfortable, good selection of food beer. Great place to eat. Friends and family enjoy the atmosphere. I occasionally meet others for drinks and a catchup. Staff are friendly.

Lovely afternoon in the sunshine, overlooking Waltham Cross High Street. The locals were chatty and friendly. Very inexpensive. I have since, upgraded my mark to full. Tonight, I arrived tired and hungry. The young lady behind the bar, helped me order a fantastic steak. She pointed out all the ways of obtaining my meal in the cheapest and well presented manor. Thanks for a lovely evening Weatherspoons. X

How is it that people are complaining and nothing happens. I had a bar person who tried to serve someone who was behind me she had a 50/50 chance so I told them. Got really annoyed and I pointed out it’s their job to know who is next. Lied and said they asked then I was refused to be served after two doubles and a single was poured I hope it comes out of her wages. I have also raised this with head office. So I expect action.

Fairly typical Wetherspoons, plentiful good food and cheap beer that runs out all the time. Table clearance and cleanliness fine. Staff a bit downbeat on the evening I visited.

The staff in here are horrible. One barmaid is just a complete cow, openly making fun of a customer with special needs. The Manager has a bad attitude and the woman who bought our food over obviously didn't want to be there. I know it's a spoons, so don't expect much, but the staff could do with some training on customer service. Avoid it - there's a nicer pub down the road called The Vine.

I was at the bar, waiting for the staff to take my order but was completely ignored, the staff took orders from other client's who arrived after I did, why the animosity? The woman who was working behind the bar (around 11am approximately) was aware that I was there but she refused to acknowledge my presence. Is this the kind of people you like to hire Wetherspoons? I won't be coming back again that's for sure. Disgraceful.

As usual in this chain, very nice service, nice atmosphere and tasty food.

Always go here when I'm over. Cheap drinks and always a good atmosphere. It can sometimes take a while to get served though, all depends on how many staff are on. First time I have used the app to order food, and I must say it was very easy to use, and the service was quick.

The worst pizza i ever seen ,(First time having pizza like this, I've been to other Wetherspoon's and it wasn't like this ) I tried to return back and they simply answer to me this is the way how we do pizza.. All this was said by manager! Im not coming back to eat here anymore they should just serve alcohol and not food ,,, Wetherspoon CHANGE THE STAFF !!! Do not go there, waste of time , waste of money !!!!

Absolutely disgusting service today. First of all when I walked in it smelt like fish and wee it was horrible. Then we ordered food as a group if 12 and personally I got a coke and they got alcohol they was then asked for ID which is understandable. However I was then asked for ID for a coke?? Absolutely not the food was cold and chucked on the table when they brought it . They didn’t speak to us just chucked the food down and walked off. The pizza we ordered came on a wrap , poorly presented and cold. The chips were hard. The tables around us are dirty and have been for over an hour now, it then came to 21:00 and we was all asked for ID as people under 18 have to leave but there are babies running around?? another member of staff then came over with the same attitude demanding ID saying we will get chucked out. We then explained that the other member of staff was rude and to be honest the attitude was the exact same which was not suprising at all. They then removed our table of off table service and are now refusing to serve us . It’s their staff with the attitude quite funny if I do say so myself

Walked in straight away was a disgusting smell all tables filthy full of plates and glasses Absolutely appalling service!!! Tables dirty, when asked to clean an attitude Asked for id for a Pepsi when told they don’t require my id for a Pepsi I was told I’ll need to leave at 9 o’clock 9 oclock comes and the man is straight over demanding id from 1 Person on our table of 12 There attitude all evening was disgusting Kids running the place Pizza was disgusting , freezing cold

Halloumi fries were dry and burnt looked more like floor tiles without even any sauce and the place looks like a health hazard. They treat us in here like lying delinquents. Clearly we aren’t all 12 yrs old.

Never clean the tables everything is very sicky and dirty wouldn’t come here again

To start our experience as soon as walking in there was an unpleasant smell that made us feel sick, we was then greeted with terrible customer service with terrible attitude, the dirty tables that we was told they cannot clean due to closing in 5 hours. They had asked for id for a Pepsi?? And then we had said you don’t need id for that they said they would kick us out at 9. They then had terrible attitude with the whole table and started shouting no more drinks for you. Then proceeded to take our tables off the Wetherspoons app.

Warm, clean and value for money. The real ales on offer just now are superb!

Best 'Spoons we've eaten in, by some distance. Food cooked perfectly. Ham and chips & a Tikka Masala. Runny eggs with crunchy whites, curry substantial and well-presented. Best part was the service. Really 'on it' team that seemed to care. Tables cleaned straight after people left, very fast service with drinks turning up as soon as the app put down. Couldn't really ask for much more really, along with the usual good prices. (£2.50-ish for a pint of ice cold Stowford remains remarkable.) Very pleasantly surprised as wasn't expecting much at a busy time in Waltham Cross.

Floors sticky and tables not cleaned properly, should have been a warning of what was to come. Mixed grill was cold and Pizza was poor quality and under cooked. Unfortunately had to have the food returned.

Met a mate for catch up ,had 2 large breakfasts & unlimited coffees less than £16 👍... Very friendly staff & very helpful...

Smallish Witherspoon's, typical Witherspoon fare with good prices, nice decor, good sized garden area which is better when it's dry. Busy at times particularly if it is too cool or wet to use the garden but worth a visit if in the area. Still good value despite rise in cost of the food.

Went for last minute meal with the family including children value for money meals plenty to choose from a varied menu catering for all your needs.

Please stop cheating customers. The mythology surrounding 5% head on draft . Its a suggested way to serve a pint not the law. If a customer asks for a full pint ( no head ) please respect that.

Twice now I have had problems in this hole with traveller's. The last time we were asked to leave after they tried to fight my girlfriend over cigarettes they had taken from her. Don't expect the staff to ever back you in a situation like this they are too scared to side with you.

The pub owner was very rude and so was a waitres lady. As they did not try. To resolve our problem as the fish and chips were burnt. Very bad quality food and service. But. 1 watere guy called conner was great service with us he got me new may and was so calm answering our question. Thank you to connor

Our group (4) had an amazing meal. The next day, three of us had upset stomachs - and suspected mild food poisoning. We also had a cookie crunch, which came with no chocolate sauce. Once asked at the bar, we were informed that they had run out and could give us a toffee sauce instead. Took around 15 minutes to get the said sauce - and only after going to the bar again where the pots were quickly filled then and there by what we assume was the manager, after the employee hadn't started yet.

Dirty tables and food came before our drinks. Did not feel comfortable

Lovely pub, fantastic decor lots of history, books there if you get bored.had egg Benedict was lovely, get a few unsavoury characters( the locals )just ignore them, drinks are cheap give it 10 out 10 best pub in the area.

Shockingly bad food. Bar staff really didn't care. Beer was ok.

Typical Wheterspoon. App works for food and drinks. Usually busy. Awaiting time from app click to sip is like 5-10 minutes on weekends. Food (for us burger with fries + wrap), was ok (adjusting standards to the place), but do not expect mid to expensive places experience. It's more like to a snack between beverages. All cook by microwave chef, but this is what to expect there. To summarize, you won't starve when on cheap pint hunt. If you are looking for more posh experience, go somewhere else. Service 4+, food 3, could be more clean (especially during weekends)

Staff, specifically Jack sit and watch people lose vast amounts of money and then jump on the slot machines, emptying the machines winning all the customers money in what is clearly a conflict of interest

Was drinking in there for years and then me and my partner got barred for absolutely nothing with no explication. Most of the staff are rude and arrogant. Shame the Wetherspoons at the old pond went was a much better pub with friendly staff not like Waltham cross

Food was a bargain, got 2 cod and chips @ £2.50 each!( For me and my daughter)...I've never been a fan of waiting at the bar always seems unorganised, but that's the only downside (normal for the setting though) quick service, good outdoor space, cheap drinks. Clean enough.

So I ordered a rare gourmet steak and put rare because I wanted blue and it came out medium. The onion rings didn't come so I asked 2 waiters who apparently radio upstairs....1 hour and 19 minutes later I went to the bar where I witnessed a waitress bringing out a pitcher but drinking from the straw that was inside the pitcher....foul.... Eventually I got served and 3 measly sized onion rings arrived 13 minute later... The pub is only at half capacity...there are 13 tables empty in the building...the garden half full. No excuse. As a chef myself I know tickets can overwhelm but when I'm told 12 tickets is holding them up....replace your chefs.....12 tickets should be handled in less then 30 minutes....especially for the capacity of this venue. I know its Friday but its early and half the pub is filled.... Oh there is only 2 chefs...I use to run the crocodile as a one man army with full capacity on a Friday....what's going on....don't act like they don't have chef mic on their side...fix up. And on a side note...don't be drinking people's drinks from their straw.....use your own to test it by holding your finger over to make a vacuum and try the drink....but to put your lips to someone's straw....that's how STDS get passed....oh its only a little bit of herpes....mate.....sort it out ...

The pub is great with a very friendly atmosphere, however, the staff are reluctant to serve and will only serve when they have finished chatting, especially Melissa. It has now become laughable amongst the regulars

Been going here a while and the food I get everytime is the buffalo wings with chips. Me and my dad get wings and chips for 8.14 each and a drink for about 1.50 so its a very cheap meal for 2 people under £20! Always go back. Had cod and chips before and burger and chips but always go back to wings and chips. Don't hate the others but I prefer the wings!

Flies everywhere. This has been an ongoing problem for years and not just during the warmer months. It's disgusting. I certainly wouldn't eat here....sort it out Wetherspoons, surely a H&S / hygiene matter.

Best pub in the area (that includes Hoddesdon and Cheshunt) Charlie the mgr has a tight and solid team around him working hard in this extremely TOUGH pub Good food; good drink - spot on.
