Great pint of lager sat in the sun in the large garden... Highly recommend.

Staff were excellent. Great music choice. Food and drinks good. Had a good time.

It is the first time that I have been inside the bull pub. It is a very spacious environment with a car park at the rear of the building. Me and the wife ordered a steak and ale pie that comes with mash, peas, carrots, and gravy. 2 pints of Guinness and a coffee that came to £41.00. It is very well priced, but to be fair in this day and age, what isn't? The food was very hot. The pie was well filled also. A touch more gravy would have been nice, but each to their own. The service was exceptional, well mannered, and accommodating. The Bull also does live entertainment. Make sure that you book for the Cavery which serves on a Sunday. Overall, yes, I would come back here again.

Lovely Sunday roast and n the sunshine. The Yorkshire puddings are epic.

Lovely cup of coffee. Do not underestimate the reviving powers! Served quickly with biscuit and generous sprinkling of chocolate on the cappucino.

Had a birthday meal there. The food was excellent especially the Hunters Chicken.

Bar man had a chip on his shoulder. It was quite expensive, in my opinion.

Had to sit in the corner wasn’t allowed to go up to the bar🍸 apparently I'm a liability!!!

I popped into The Bull after a stroll along the New River from Hoddesdon to Broxbourne. Fancied a pint on the walk back.. Really pleasant pub. Surprisingly big inside. Not too expensive, though I only had a pretty standard lager so I don't know about the other drinks. Seemed to be popular, there were a fair few patrons in. Not clicky or uncomfortable. Thoroughly recommend!

Visited this place on a bright sunny day. I really enjoyed my beer along with the delicious starters and mains in their beer garden. It is definitely on my list of places for Top 3. My only request to the management team would be to add more vegetarian and vegan options, and please bring back the sweet potato fries :)

Nice pub, food always smells great though never eaten here. Plenty of outside seating and good amount of parking. Lost a star because the toilets were pretty unpleasant smelling and unclean.

Just had another carvery , and cannot fault this place, great staff and great food.

Been here twice in the past month. Had the gammon steak both times. Really nice 2 generous pieces of gammon, nice n salty not much fat. Came with 2 really hot fried eggs, really freshly cooked. Service is good, most of the staff seem to have been here for some time.

Really nice pub, good food, both off the menu and the carvery. We visited as in the area. Reasonable priced and nice atmosphere.

Book by mistake but glad I did, definitely coming back on a more regular basis.

We needed a dog friendly table, which happened to be in the public bar, the staff had decorated the table, so was really Christmasy and the food and service was great. Thanks to the bar staff for their efforts , would definitely recommend this pub.

Brilliant Sunday lunch find, four meats, great Yorkshire, good stuffing (unusual), parsnips and good veg. 2 courses each.

Went for a Sunday roast, the dessert came out before the main, the stuffing was burnt , the TWO roast potatoes were hard and cold and the portion of cauliflower cheese was a tiny floret DRY with no sauce . Did not want to make a scene, however had to make a review DO NOT GO THEIR. Had a bad stomach the next day.

We stumbled on to this place by chance, was a great find. The staff were friendly and helpful, we felt there was a great atmosphere. The steak and chicken we ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Prices are reasonable. You don’t have to deal with entering your REG or risking a fine. Would defo go again and recommend

Arrived to watch women's world cup, the landlords attitude and manner was not welcoming and in my opinion dismissive to the point of being rude. Would not return.

Ordered the rump. Had to send it back as it was extremely sinuous and in edible. Replacement was better but couldn’t eat about 25% of it as it was uncooked fat. I think they ought to replace their supplier or up the grade of meat they are buying.

Went for a meal at lunchtime with others. The service was good and prompt. Had a lovely meal. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would recommend.

Came here to try after driving past so many times, really nice pub! Friendly staff and good choice of drinks. Didn't eat but the food looked really good, as did the menu. nice outside area also with a huge car park. Will be coming back

We visited the pub for some after work drinks and the staff was pleasant we then decided to have a couple of starters which was nice. Pub itself is very nice

Wow I have read all the reviews and have to say I am astonished they must be getting their friends and family to fill them in. Service was non existent. There was 5 customers and 6 staff. We were not informed of missing items. When we ask for a coke no ice and well done for informing us it was Pepsi, still came with ice. We eventually ordered and when ordering were informed that the chef couldn’t do the salad garnish with no quinoa even though other dishes just have a simple salad, maybe he was so busy serving the 5 people. Then when the food was delivered we had to ask for cutlery. We had an extra side salad delivered but with no check back they didn’t know about this. At no point did someone ask if everything was ok. We had to ask for the bill at the end after waiting nearly 30 mins again with about 7 people in the place. The food was appalling. As for the best beef in Hertfordshire I would know they didn’t have any steak. No but no thanks

Decent pub, clean loos, good drinks range, beer garden, pool, fruity, different comfy areas etc. clearly looked after and a decent range of reasonably priced food. But what is with the staff, they are awful, when they bother serving. Stood at bar, with 5 staff present; 1 lass doing glasses (which is fair enough), 1 talking to her mate about how busy they had been the previous day, one girl sipping draft coke like she was on her holiday, 2 blokes taking an age to pour a glass of wine. Took 5 minutes to get two pints and there was only 1 other person being served! While eating in the dining area I went to the bar twice as nobody came to check if we wanted to spend more money on drinks (which they tried to slow me down from spending due to snail speed service). Give the pasta a miss as it was bland and clearly reheated.

Really enjoyed our visit to The Bull today. Quite busy on a Friday lunchtime but no problems as the staff and service were excellent. Great menu and the Mexican specials were very good. Add on some good beers and the perfect place for a relaxing lunch. Cheers to you all. 👍😊

Lovely food. Staff is extremly nice! They went beyond anything what I would expect from them, accomodating us with table when they fully booked and letting out kids "order" their desserts.

This is the second visit in the same number of months. The team and the food are relentlessly amazing. I dare you to find a better piece of beef in Hertfordshire! Jazz, Laura and Chef Pepe are five star and will accommodate any request, within reason, tables, extra condiments and simple attention to detail. Eagle eyed waitress Laura will keep your glasses topped up, so you don’t even need to queue at the bar. I highly recommend you book well in advance for this value for money carvery that is quite simply outstanding!

Used to be a great pub, was my local for many years. Upon revisiting it is now a corporate shadow of my many great memories. Cross the road and drink in the white Bear if you like traditional pub values.

Disappointed with the menu handed to us on entry...two options we selected were not available...waitress said its best to order from the large floor menu at the entrance...there were lots of waitresses but it was only the last young waitress who collected our plates asked if there was anything else we'd like...quite disappointed with our visit and service

The food is ok here and we had to wait awhile for our food but I have given 5 stars for the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. At one of the nearby tables there was a mixup with the order and the staff handled it with cheerful professionalism. For this alone I would come back, and recommend to others. A good-sized free car park behind the pub. Plenty of indoor space a some outdoor space at the front. Vegetarian options available and marked on the menu.

Went here for the first time today for a bite for lunch .. really friendly/helpful staff and the food was lovely .. definitely go back again ... hubby says their sunday roasts look pretty awesome too!!

Had a 1:30 Xmas Fayre lunch today, pub was full but not crowded. Food well presented and the portions were large.we had a party of 16 plus a couple of smaller children, so our tastes and choices varied. Staff were excellent, and when our food came we were all served quickly and together. During the meal waitresses checked to make sure we had sufficient drinks. A splendid afternoon. On Speaking to my 'party' afterwards , everyone said how they enjoyed their visit.

Went here for a family evening meal. All the food for everyone was very nice large range of drinks on tap. Reasonably priced but maybe lacked a bit of atmosphere in the restaurant area but aside from that we were very happy.

Popped in here on our way back from a family day out for some food. Had really good service and the food was of good quality too. The place was virtually empty, but was very big so I'm assuming it gets busy here during dinner time periods. Overall would definitely recommend!

Lovely decorated family pub, good selection on the menu, decent sized portions too. Friendly staff and good service, didn’t have to wait long for our food. Plenty of parking and also has a lovely garden to enjoy the weather. Would definitely recommend.

Nice pub but unfortunately no "visiting" real ales, only their own brewery offerings which I don't care for!! Wifey had a large glass of Sav. Blanc which was very good.
