Great breakfast, Chris was very helpful and friendly. Food and drink were to a good standard, we had a full breakfast and the kid eat free.

Cracking carvery! Lukasz and Chris -chef and chef are so friendly and helpful. Food is delicious- personally don't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day! It's a great pub with family or with friends. My new "local"!

Chris and Alisha looked after us like we were family. Fantastic time had by all, thank you guys! Would recommend the mixed grill to eat

Stayed here at the premier inn for work and had breakfast for the last 4 days. Great selection and good quality and top service from both the management and the ladies serving in the morning.

Breakfast was fantastic as always with a premier inn breakfast, everything well catered for. We also had an evening meal here on our first night and the adults had steak and a mixed grill and both meals were fantastic. Kids pizza and fish bites were great too. Love that there's a hidden beer garden with a play area round the back too

We have eaten there loads of times, yesterday we met up with family for Sunday Breakfast. Had to wait for plates, food, the coffee machines was not working properly and total lack of staff to ask for anything. Ladies toilets broken not fit to use. Would not rush back.

Absolutely terrible Sunday lunch today with 8 friends. Waited about 50 minutes for a mixed grill which we had to keep chasing up. There was only Beef or Gammon at the Carvery and had to wait for 45 minutes for the Turkey to arrive. Lots of other people unhappy with the long wait too. You need more staff and staff training, get your act together!!

Arrived to a warm and friendly atmosphere. Greeted by the effervescent Amy R who took my order with the most wonderful smile! Ordered the mixed grill, medium rare steak! Cooked to perfection, many thanks to Julie! Conversation with a new employee named Danni was most pleasant! Would definitely recommend!

My daughter and I arrived looking for some lunch and was greeted by a very professional accommodating young lady called Amy who made sure our order was quick and good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyable and shall be returning.

Worst ever, 45 minutes waiting to order food, another couple waiting 45-60 minutes for food. No explanation until asked, short of staff and a kid as a manager.

on a spur of the moment whilst passing the Monkey Puzzle my partner and I decided to stop for a quick meal, with no reservation we were granted a table for two my partner ordered a Chicken & bacon salad and I ordered a simple Fish and chips, the meals duly arrived and my partner's meal was top notch whereas mine was a different story a simple fish and chips with peas easy right ? No when i cut into the batter there was no fish to be found just a lot of over cooked batter, I took the meal to the bar and the serving staff an Amy D agreed the the meal was not up to standard and returned it to the kitchen for a replacement, the second meal proved to be as bad as the first as again the Batter was over cooked and when broken into there again was no fish to be found. Amy D was again very apologetic and suggested that I choose a different meal as obviously the chef was not up to cooking fish, I plumped for bangers and mash and by the time it had arrived my partner had finished her meal and had to sit and watch me eat mine.which was ok but then how can you stuff up Bangers & Mash ? in fairness to the staff Amy gave me a refund for my meal ( although I still paid for my partners) all in all an unsatisfactory experience probably not to be repeated.

Great service from Kayleigh and the team. Food was Good and service was quick. Good atmosphere in the restaurant/bar. Drink and food very reasonably priced. Good stay overall.

We were greeted by lovely helpful staff who were keen to ensure my daughters dietary needs were met. However once our food order was taken it was a very long time coming and my daughter had almost finished her main course before mine arrived. The food was not terribly hot either. The staff though were very jolly and welcoming.

We are on a sunday, was particularly busy. Food was brought out at different and when mine arrived it was cold. Won't be returning.

Fantastic “Service with a Smile” from Kayleigh tonight. Ribs and Beer are hard to turn down. Service is easy and quick; order from the bar and they bring everything to your table.

Absolutely love the monkey puzzle, greeted by friendly faces as soon as you walk in, whether that be alone like me, on in a group. Lovely young lady behind the bar, think her name was Amy (hope I got it right) very helpful and clued up about all the drinks they stocked, will continue to come here and recommend to others.

Arrived here with my wife and we were greeted with friendly staff who knew everything about the menu. And everything else as well

Nicola, ably assisted by Charlotte, seriously went above and beyond in the conduct of their duties. Having booked in advance, I received a warning earlier in the morning that it would be 'cash only', as their card handling facilities had been compromised by an electronic failure.

Arrived at 2.pm on sunday afternoon expecting to be be able to get a carvery but was told there was no more left although it as still there on the serving table. Ordered from the main menu and still had to wait for hr before meals arrived,although ther was only about half dozen people there

We visited at 6.30pm on a weekday. It was quiet when we arrived and had no trouble finding a table. We ordered immediately and whilst started arrived quite quickly it was nearly 8pm before we got our main meal despite asking many times when it would be with us. Eventually it arrived with an apology (I am sure they just forgot to cook ours) and an offer of a free pudding which we declined because we didn't want to be there until breakfast time waiting for it. Although the front room staff were very apologetic we really think that it could do better. We most certainly will avoid if we are ever in Farnborough again.

This pub has a good atmosphere, all staff are friendly and bubbly especially Onion. They can't do enough for you. Would definitely recommend.

We ate here as we were staying the premier inn, it wasn't busy when we arrived so managed to order with no trouble but a short while after it got very busy and a long wait for food which staff made customers aware of.

Charlotte is always friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do more for you. Nicola seems to live at the pub. Whenever you see her, she’s smiling, happy and nothing is too much, even after a 12 hour shift. We are regulars and if you want a cheap evening out then this is a must for you.

I use to like this place but went today for lunch and was so disappointed. Cutlery dirty, food lukewarm and very average - poor tasting. And the toilets !!! Disgusting. Brown stains, loo seat off 🙀🙀🙀🙀

Beautiful evening spent here. The lady at he bar, Amy D. Was really nice. She made us feeling like home. Food was great also. I truly recommend this place.

After staying at many premier inns and often I end up at a brewers fayre next door, the staff are often pleasant and accommodating but it was more noticeable this trip with a young lady Amy D (as it said on her name tag) I was tired and hungry and she read me perfectly and did everything she could to help me the whole ordeal pain free from picking from the menu and general lovely chat without feeling it was false. The other staff were wonderful also and unfortunately didn’t get their names.

orders were taken by a really lovely girl called Onion. She was friendly and took the trouble to remember our names when we went back to order desserts. The food was ok but there seemed to be a lot of confusion from the servers who went to various tables with plates of food asking if this is what we ordered. It didn’t help that the table numbers were missing from a few of the tables.

My family and I were torn between the closeness of this establishment and a Toby carver which was 20 mins away. We chose the close one and wish we never. The food was mediocre at best. I didn’t even finish my meal it was that bad. The puddings were great though.

We were warmly welcomed into the restaurant and shown to our table and explained how the ordering process works. The building is very spacious with lots of pub and restaurant 'zones' so you are never near too many other people. The staff were very accommodating to our requests and did everything they could to make it a great experience. The food came out within a reasonable time frame and we were pleased with the portion sizes and quality of the food. We would certainly return!

I phoned up 1 week ago to book 30 odd people in for Sunday afternoon (11th aug) from the moment I phoned up I received great service from Ben, Nicola and Amy! They were so helpful, we preordered our meals, and I had to chop and change a few, every phone call was made easy with no hassle! We arrived and were shown to our area ( they had reserved us one)

Dropped in to this pub for a lunch with the grandchildren because the daughter suggested it had a good safe area for them to play in. Was not disappointed, grandchildren enjoyed their play we enjoyed our lunch. Very good customer service happy to recommend to others passing through.

Popped in for a quick dinner and a drink. Service was excellent and really friendly staff. Lauren and Charlotte served me and made me laugh immediately. The manager, Ben, was running around serving tables and still had time to thank me for my visit. Really impressed with the staff and manager on duty.

Went for a drink and bite to eat with the kids. Our original venue was closed for a function and so we tried this venue as we knew they had a playground.

Excellent service and high quality food and a wonderful atmosphere at this popular venue! The manager is great and will work with you if you make contact in advance.

I stayed at the premier inn opposite the monkey puzzle for a week. Every night i enjoyed a different meal from the pub. It has a tonne of dishes to choose from and everything comes in good portions and each meal taste great! Personal thank you to Charlotte for making my week an enjoyable one. Can’t wait for another!!

I was staying at the premier inn on a course with work, and monkey puzzle was situated next door... From the moment I walked in I received an unforgettable reception, Charlotte (onion) made us feel so welcome, and even down to small things like remembering names the next night as well as our drinks etc was exceptional... every night the food was spectacular and the pint was just spot on... Not much more I could of asked for, monkey puzzle made my week. Thanks so much to all of the staff

So I visit Farnborough for work at least once every other month and stay at the Premier Inn. The adjoining eatery - Monkey Puzzle is a Brewers Fayre, it serves the standard pub grub, but in all the times I’ve eaten here it’s been really good. But for me, one of the best things when you’re away on business and being solo, is friendly staff, this place does not disappoint. The last twice I’ve been here a young lady named Charlotte has served me, she is so friendly and bubbly, I’d usually say a good egg, but I’m gonna change it and say a good ‘onion’ Keep it up everyone at Monkey Puzzle, you’re doing a grand job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was absolutely disgusting, frozen microwave food! Avoid this cafe (not a restaurant) at all costs! Better value and quality in a Weatherspoons! Reheated food, not freshly cooked. Only a few staff on duty, lack of stock (listed house red) unavailable!

We visited the monkey puzzle for 2 nights (friday &saturday;)as we had booked into the premier inn and had a meal deal. The first night of the visit (friday), I did feel that the place was busy and they were short of staff. The meals we got however were well cooked and tasted great.

As usual, fabulous food, great prices, and tonight we were over the moon to see Nicola from the Ewell branch! We will definitely be coming back now! She has always provided the best service, and tonight was no exception! She made us welcome, checked on us during our meal, a warm friendly lady, who makes eating out a comfortable and pleasurable experience!

Cannot thank Ben and his team enough we had my mother in laws wake at the monkey puzzle we had our own section and was not disturbed. Fantastic setting very homely and comfortable feel the staff were all fantastic. The food we ordered was a buffet for £8.49 a head when it came out it was beyond our expectations mixtures of sandwiches and hot food all delicious and presented really well the amount we got for our money was incredible we could have fed an army with the quantity we had and the quality was amazing. Can not fault this place at all what a fantastic place and a great send off for our mum. Ben done and amazing job cannot recommend them enough great food great prices and great staff

Simply exceptional. We booked a child's birthday party over the phone from where we live in Spain. From the outset, we received honest, transparent, money saving advice, exceptional customer service, attention to detail and a fully approachable attitude. The day before the event, we were allowed to decorate and the room was cleaned and prepped on the day. We were allowed to stay as long as we wanted on the day, the use of the function room was free, there was a lovely area for the children to play in worry-free and we could have gone into the garden had it been fine weather.

This is a great place to eat and drink but sadly is too noisy (screeming and shouting kids) My wife and I walked out after a drink, unable to hear ourselves think let alone havea chat. Another couple walked out as well. Just too many feral kids.

We used to go here most weekends as it is our local but the food was not good this time. The half roast chicken had clearly been cooked another day and reheated. We will be trying out the other local pubs again for some decent food!

Visited here for a later afternoon meal, been here a few times now and there never seem enough staff not sure what the management do about it, the food is just ok for the price you pay, however the staff that you do have are great always with a smile and hard working, a few staff to point out are Lauren what a lovely young lady, and Richard who always seems to be running about,

Spent a lovely Saturday evening in the Monkey Puzzle busy restaurant but the service from Amy D and Ben was excellent food was really good nothing to much trouble will definitely be back!

As a regular visitor to the Monkey I feel every now and then a boost to the team is needed! So a big shoutout to the lovely Amy D, and Mette, ever super efficient and friendly! Well done to Richard, he’s settled well after a wobbly start! Ben and Nestor are always around to help if the bar gets a bit busy (tho think Nestor prefers sparks to plumbs!!) Charlotte and Lauren are always a pleasure, the banter talk is always entertaining! And lastly, particular recognition to Amy R for giving the place a touch of much needed glamour! Well done to all!

Went here this evening fora meal with friends. First of all the item I wanted wasn’t available, not happy at that. Ordered an alternative Chicken Caesar salad. Chicken was luke warm, bacon barely cooked not pleasant at all, two of us had chosen this option so these meals were returned. Getting a bit fed up at this point, when the alternative arrived it didn’t look very appetising at all but was needing to eat at this point. Weshould have realised something was wrong when on a friday evening we were only the third occupied table. Give this place a wide berth.

Dined here a couple of times whilst staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. Excellent service from all the staff, friendly and efficient throughout. The manager was great, always checking that everything was to our satisfaction. Only one gripe, both the ladies & gents are in need of refurbishment, not saying they are dirty, thay just need updating.

Chose this as a place to eat purely for convenience to meet family members who were staying in the adjoining Hotel. Brewers Fayre wouldn't be our typical choice and it's easy to make assumptions about the service you'd receive. Nicola and her team, Mia, Charlotte and Amy were fantastic, very attentive, service driven and incredibly accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and we were checked on throughout the meal. Nicola is a driving force and someone who clearly loves what she does. She contributed to the atmosphere throughout the whole restaurant. Thank you for having us!

Usual food and standard. They had clearly had a lot of service issues as everyone was asking where there food was but we must have timed our visit - slightly later at around 2:15 - to perfection as we had no service problems. Car Park quite busy - more so than the restaurant.

DESERVES AT LEAST 5 STARS We had a great meal again here. Really friendly staff. My only gripe is the feral little sods that are allowed to run around and scream. I have requested that Brewers fayre turn the kiddies indoor play area which the kids never use, into a sort of 'snug ' for people that would like to eat and drink in piece but they don't listen or care. Oh well, we will have to find another place to spend our desposible income. Shame really, why can't it go back to 'only 18''s in the bar area? Over to you brewers fayre.

Took lunch on Friday 19th April with my Hubby.

This is my first time at the premier Inn and Monkey puzzle restaurant. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room Was clean and comfortable. The bar staff couldn't have been nicer. We had a waitress called Nicola who was cheeky and lots of fun. She made the evening reslly enjoyable with her wit and excellent service. The manager was lovely and I was impressed how he reacted with his staff and customers.

Staying at PI didn't fancy any more driving so walked across here seated and served quickly food was enjoyable and stayed at good temperature which is all we expect for price paid

I have been here a few times as staying in the premier inn and it’s never been great but this time was the worst. I had salmon for dinner, which had a horrible rancid taste - it was gone off. The smell was terrible. I sent it back and was asked if I wanted anything else, and I said no. And that was the end of that??

Excellent two for price of one classic pub lunch deal & unlimited hot drinks on a cold day.Other half choose gammon & pineapple +extra side vegetables & I had chicken tikka.Both were good value and arrived in 15min.

Charlie and Nicola were both great .. excellent food and service as always! It is also really good value for money - a fave is smothered chicken doubled up for 99p!

Popped in on Tuesday lunchtime. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we chose where we wanted to sit. There was a good selection on the menu and once we had ordered at the bar we were then served with our food by two cheerful ladies. My husband had the ribs which looked tasty and I had the fish and chips. My only criticism was my meal wasn’t overly hot - whether it had been put on the side while my husband’s meal was prepared (his was fine) I’m not sure but I do like hot food so that’s what let it down for me but we will visit again and fingers crossed next time it will be!

I’ve been staying at this hotel for 3 nights now and arriving into the restaurant I feel warmer and warmer each time, Mia and Amy D, Nicola are absolutely amazing and I’ve arrived as a customer but definitely left as a friend.

Amy treated the entire party with fantastic enthusiasm and care. We’re here on work and she’s been brilliant and made the evening fantastic! Highly recommended!!

Nice sunday roast friendly staff but service VERY slow. Expect to wait as it was mothers day but waiting 50 min for pudding not good when place is nearly empty

We having been visiting this Beefeater for some five years and always found the food to be very tasty, good value and always served with a smile.

A fabulous night’s sleep and a lovely warm welcome from Nicola in the monkey puzzle brewer’s fayre at breakfast - really lovely service and great sausages and eggs too! Thanks for making us so welcome.

It was a mild Sunday evening and our party had been working ourselves ragged. We decided to venture to the restaurant for some well deserved grub. Excitement was growing at the prospect of onion rings and mozzarella sticks as a side to whatever culinary delight we would choose. Unfortunately our first world privilege was taken away from us by half of the menu being unavailable.

Place was not very busy, but despite being told our meals would be "about 10 minutes" we actually waited for almost half an hour. I had Gammon steak, egg, pineapple, peas and chips. The chips were not very hot, appeared "old" and tasted like they were microwaved, they were not crisp but were very soggy. The peas came in a small pot and were so dry they were incredibly awful.

Took my son here Saturday night for a quick meal. Although restaurant side was half full not a sign of a member of staff

The worst meal we've ever had. One meal wrong, mine was tiny and tasteless, husbands was tough (steak). All unintentionally cold. Sticky table. Iffy service. Avoid.

As per my previous reviews, not a lot to say about the food really. It's Ok (ish) and I want to say cheap(ish) and cheerful.

The staff was lovely , polite and friendly and nothing was to much trouble , but the food , I don’t want to be negative and I understand it’s good on the run but it wasn’t nice , I had ribs and chicken and it was awful , as was my daughters mixed grill , breakfast was lovely and value for money and cooked fresh , I would only eat breakfast here , but the food is not a reflection on the service as that was excellent

We used the Monkety Puzzle as a family meeting point and was very pleased. It is clean with plenty of space and an outside play area for the young ones. The food was very good and efficiently served by helpful staff. Just one note - the sat nav post code is actually GU14 0JP (otherwise you end up on an estate instead!)

I met with some friends for dinner mid-week. the bar was quite busy due to an exhibition at the nearby Farnborough Airfield, so the staff were a little under pressure.
