Situated in the centre of Ross on Wye, this restaurant is a little gem. Bangladeshi chefs know exactly what they are doing and fantastic service. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent food, polite friendly people. I’ve never had a bad meal ever from them.

The butter chicken was too sweet tasted entirely of coconut. The meat platter was absolutely plastered with food colouring. My hands and tongue turned red with the colouring. The rice and nann were nice.

we order regularly from the Mint House and have always had great food and we love it. Unfortunately today our order was over half an hour early (after specifically ordering for a certain time), the poppadoms were stale and the food was cold. having pre-orderd before the restaurant was even open I'm very disappointed as there is no excuse for cold food and arriving so early when our guests hadn't arrived yet.

After having my order cancelled at Zam Zams due to delivery issues thought I would try the mint house. Definitely not disappointed, food was really tasty and arrived hot will be using from now on

We arrived late on Saturday night in the middle of November (2024), with about an hour until the restaurant was due to close, so in all fairness to the guys it was a bit rushed. The service unsurprisingly was really prompt. No sooner had we ordered and the menus had been collected then our poppadoms arrived; six between the three of us with four sauces & dips including a very sweet & a little spicy sauce I'd never had before; but it was very nice. We ordered three mains, mine and garlic chilli chicken rated on the menu with one 🌶, which turned out to be absolutely correct..just the right amount of green chilli, plenty of nicely cooked and marinated chicken in a deep tomato based sauce. A really nice dish. I had a keema naan and pilau rice. The rice was a little dry but the naan bread was really good, plenty of spiced meat in really tasty bread, plus it was a good sized portion. The others in our party had similar accompanied by a couple of cokes, whilst I had a bottle of cobra. So overall not a bad meal, a bit rushed and with only two other people dining it was lacking on atmosphere. Price wise, I thought it was a little dear, coming in at just over £72, just under £80 with a tip. Would I go back, yes, my main was really nice and was cooked just right. Not faults with it. Plus the staff were all very polite and smartly dressed in black shirts with the restaurant name on. Sorry no photos on this occasion. I ordered a delivery a few moths ago. It was bad. I thought I would try again. I’ve been red flagged. My ONE complaint was that my chicken dish arrived with 3 pieces of chicken, I complained and it was rectified with another delivery. Now I can’t order again, which is fine so good luck after bad rubbish!

All as it should be, hard for most but these guys nailed it fair play. Thanks

We are so lucky to have Mint house in Ross on wye. The team are a delight and so welcoming everytime my friends and I go in for a girls catch up. The food is always incredible, fresh, hot and tasty, Cant wait to try some of the new dishes on the menu.

Wouldn’t recommend, we’re unwilling to help when I had an issue with my order.

Food was cold and had no taste was late and not even an apology for it very poor service all round won’t be ordering from the mint house for a while had to much poor standard from them

Great Indian food. Bahjees and King Prawn Puris were very good. Veggie samosa only OK. Curries were flavorful and not at all greasy - only niggle is that the were all very mild. Naan was acceptable. Service was great - put in a big take away order and they turned it around in ~20mins and brought it to the car, which was just lovely. And they handled my son's tree nut allergy very professionally. Recommend.

Not the best, both curries we had were incredibly sugary . To be honest, an aldi ready meal curry tastes better . Staff were a bit miserable, used to chatty guys in restaurants back home in Birmingham

Recommended to me by multiple people and the food is excellent. Huge variety on offer, and most also available as vegetarian. The restaurant is often packed, but takeaway is still available within 30 mins.

Recently moved from Monmouth and so glad to find a fabulous Indian restaurant in town. Looking forward to trying something different each visit.

Fabulous food - limited choice of restaurants on a Monday night but we found this place and we would go back any night.. Highly recommend the goan fish curry.

This time we paid a weekend visit. I chose mushroom and garlic on puri followed by 4 oceans with lemon rice. Outstandingly good. Midweek visit so it was quiet but the food still superb. I tried the Cinnamon chicken with lemon rice - stunning, absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to choose from the menu, prompt delivery. Food was good.

Some of this will come down to taste. The pilau rice was plain, the chips naff and the madras VERY hot. Masala sauce was lovely Potato raw in saga aloo Onion Baji plain. It was ok and decent price. But I do think I enjoy a curry and this was slightly off for me.

I ate here with friends on the weekend and can hand on heart say this is probably the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I have been ordering takeaways from The Mint House for some time and have always found the food fabulous so thought we’d have a sit down meal and savour the surroundings. The restaurant is very well presented, exceptionally clean and an all round pleasant atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Mixed Kebab for starters which was beautiful. So flavoursome and clearly cooked with a lot of love. The star of the show for me was the Tropical Vindaloo (essentially Chicken, Lamb and Prawn). WOW!!!!! The flavour was unreal and packed some serious heat which I liked a lot!! The meat was succulent and tender. I had this with Chips, Egg Fried Rice and a Chicken Tikka Naan. BEAUTIFUL!!! The only negative was there wasn’t enough of it but in all fairness, that’s just because I have an appetite and enjoyed the food so much. I seriously recommend to anyone to try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Service was good, delivered early. Chicken Tikka was awful with no tikka taste, it was sweeter than a pudding, was really really sweet, sickly sweet, and just tasted of pure coconut, chips were French fries , not for me

I don't like it when the restaurant decides for me what I'm going to eat. I've ordered Paneer Tikka Masala instead, I got paneer in sweet, coconut sauce. It's totally disappointing. I know what I've ordered, I know it is hot (that's what i wanted), and I hate Korma dishes. Rotu was uncooked, pilau rice without taste, and pakoras burned and dry. I of worst indian restaurant I've ever been. In addition, the waiter attitude was kind of: "Why are you here, really do I need to serve you?" -Thank you for spoiling my dinner.

I was craving indian food, and Mint House in Ross on Wye did not disappoint. The atmosphere is welcoming, providing a comfortable setting for a meal. I had Chicken Kadhai, Naan, Daal, and Rice, they were generally well-prepared, hot, and fresh. The quality of chicken tikka could have been more fresher. The dessert ( pista kulfi) was so, so. The service was top-notch. One more tip, the portion sizes are huge, so it is better to share.

3 stars because my wife liked hers. Mine (tikka tawa) was very bland in terms of spice. It was really really sweet. Pilau rice and nann were both very bland, mint sauce just standard green stuff. Can’t say I’m too impressed sorry.

Really friendly waiters and super large portions. So much so we took some home with us. Prawn purée and Mushroom & Garlic purée starters. Madras lamb very tender garlic rice and Dhal. They have a good atmosphere and proper Indian music. I would recommend this lovely little restaurant.

Unfortunately a bit of a warning about one of the Indian takeaways in Ross On Wye. The Mint House had a good reputation and we have eaten food from there before. It’s my birthday and we thought let’s have a takeaway. Went online ordered what we wanted, made the payment and received an email saying that the payment had gone through.When we arrived to pick up the food, my phone pinged and said the restaurant had cancelled the order. We went inside to find out what was happening and they were really, really , really unhelpful. What had happened was they don’t turn their machine on before they open and so any orders that you may have placed just ping back, but this is the really irritating bit, once you’ve paid your money you don’t get it back for five days. The manager who refused to come and speak to us in person said over the phone we will give you 20% off but you will need to pay again and then if you don’t get your money back, come and talk to us. So basically for a not too bad but not a brilliant Indian takeaway we going to be charged £120 of our money upfront. So to be honest, I wouldn’t go and spend my money there again, because I think it’s a bit of a scam. You have been warned.

This place was recommended to us whilst we were staying in the area. Was absolutely amazing, food was perfect, we ordered the keema, garlic and cheese naans (house naans if I remember correctly) and they were delicious, definitely recommend.

Delivery 2 hrs 10 mins from when it was ordered. Absolutely unacceptable. Quality of the food is irrelevant given the lateness. Very disappointing!

delivery was excellent very nice driver but the food was uncomfortably Hot, I like Madras and also like hot food but wow this was too much! maybe the lid fell off the spice jar. the butterfly prawns were cold and the rice was dry. poppadoms were excellent so all In all I've paid £22 for 3 nice poppadoms!

I ordered a mild curry and it was that spicy I couldn’t eat it also some of the items I ordered were not in the bag onion bhaji and keema naan fatal of £8.00 so will not be ordering again

Only ever had takeaway from here but is always to a good standard for takeaway. Vindaloo extra spicy is always on point. Naan bread is good and the special sauce dip is awesome.

Went to the evesham restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful with in making ny decision on dish. The restaurant its self was lovely and clean. The food was by far the best I've tasted and would highly recommend to anyone.

Reasonable food but nothing special for the cost & just an average Indian restaurant, unfortunately our meals were fairly bland & not that enjoyable that would make me want to return for a while at least but give it a try & hopefully your experience will be I hope much better.

Ive had many currys from this restaurant and every time it is of excellent quality, keep up the good work.

I was on a business trip to Ross on Wye and almost nothing was open on a Monday evening. I found the Mint House and was really impressed. Lovely fresh Indian flavours and lots of differentiation between dishes. The kichumba salad was delicious with really crisp but non fierce onions. Paneer and peas was delicious with really fresh green peas giving a great colour and texture. The highlight was the Cafrael chicken curry with added Naga chilli- probably one of the best curry dishes I have ever had. The service was polite, attentive and friendly. Totally impressed and I’ll be suggesting The Mint House to colleagues next work trip.

This was our 1st visit to this restaurant and it was fantastic. Very tasty food which was cooked to perfection and at good prices too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly be returning for another meal in the future. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Always use the mint House. Food is always hot and fresh. As we are vegetarian it's nice to have a great list of vegetarian meals. Always delivered within the stated time. I can't fault them.

Every time we come to you the food is amazing but we have to wait usually half an hour more to when you’ve said it’s ready.

Had a take away tonight....good service and lovely staff but the curries were very bland and ordinary. My home made ones even with a cook in sauce are far better. Shame .... because the staff were lovely.

The food was excellent and would order again, delivery was a little slow, however, Friday evening so I’m sure they were busy.
