Great place and fantastic price but extremely busy as you can imagine.

Terrible food. rice was microwaved and food tasted too sweet and way too much food colouring. As someone from Birmingham this place should learn from Our restaurants.

Really nice Indian restaurant it seems very popular so service was a bit hetic, but the quality of food was great we also got complimentry drinks, a pudding and a bowl of sweets which was a unexpected treat after a nice meal would recommend booking as it does get busy

Absolutely fantastic experience tonight. Booked a table for 2 last minute, and it was very busy when we arrived, so we were offered a quieter place to eat in the restaurant which was very considerate. Poppadoms, dips and chutneys came out first, then we ordered our starters of chicken shishlack, followed by mains of Chicken Bhuna, Jalfrezi, and 2 varieties of rice. All of the food tasted incredible. Excellent service from the servers, and they couldn't do enough for us. It was such a wonderful taste bud experience. We were given complimentary fresh orange slices, hot face towels, and chocolate mints as we left. It all came to under £40! Such wonderful value. I can't rate this restaurant higher than 5* but it's worth so much more. Do yourself a favour, visit them as soon as you have a spare evening. It's well worth the delightful experience 😁

Good food, excellent service, no complaints at all .

Food is always great here, and the sitting in experience has always been great. It's excellent value and you feel very taken care of. We've also had take away and is equally as nice. Don't miss out on the chef specials either!

Very easily the best Indian Takeaway in Hereford! I had a takeaway of a veg biryani and a chicken biryani - both of which were excellent, generously portioned and perfectly seasoned. The mixed veg bhaji and veg chaat were also excellent! Will definitely be back again and hopefully have the chance to eat in the restaurant, which on picking up my order looked very inviting and comfortable. Great food, great service and great value for money! Thank you!

Every physical menu feels brand new, not marked. The place is always immaculately clean. A good meal is about £15. Service A1.

Fantastic meal and amazing value.

A very decent curry. We have tried several curry houses around Hereford over the years and finally found a place that serves good authentic food with regard to spice, flavour and ingredients. My main dish was the indian railway curry which was full of flavour and came in a generous portion. My companions were VEGAN and the restaurant accommodated their needs without fuss.

Having ordered a few takeaways over recent months from Mary Gold - and been impressed with some really tasty and varied dishes - it’s become our preferred Indian takeaway in Hereford. Polite and positive customer service so far also, which is much appreciated - with thanks.

We had a fabulous meal, service was excellent, it was just very, very noisy, but tbf it was the Friday night of a bank holiday weekend 😏

Group of 12 went for a 40th birthday meal. Service was excellent, going out of their way with brining our cake out with Indian drums and singing along with complimentary desserts. As a seasoned heatonist regularly riding the reaper train, I ordered the Chicken Gunpowder main but asked them to make it very hot. It was incredible. I started hallucinating after the third bite, sweating behind my ears and by the time I'd finished the meal I had significant hearing loss. 11/10. Incredible. I wish I lived closer to make it my regular.

Food ok but rather small portions with the set menu

My favourite Indian take away. The only thing I would love is for Panner tikka masala to be put on the takeaway menu so when I can't get through to you when calling up I can go through the app instead. Never had a bad experience with food from these guys. Sorry I don't have pictures at the moment but I'll try remember to take some when I next have food from you guys which will probably be soon.

Given it was midweek it was very busy and unlike previous visits the wait to order and food to come to table was a lot longer than I have previously experienced. However as always the food was lovely.

Good staff and good food at reasonable prices

First and foremost this is not an accessible restaurant. The only access is through a narrow alley that can barely fit a wheelchair with assistance due to the gates and rough pavement. My wheelchair had to be left outside in said alleyway for my meal as there was no way it could enter the restaurant. The staff tried to help but in a way that was condescending and largely unhelpful. The food was ok. If you are disabled avoid at all cost.

This is a fantastic indian restaurant. Food superb , cant fault it... we were a group of 8, everyone was served food at the same time. Excellent value and quality. Entrance bad for disabled no handles or ramps in but food excellent

Delicious and plentiful food at very reasonable prices. Complementary ice cream, drinks and sweets to follow. Excellent service. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

I travel all over the UK and use various restaurants when on business and Marygold Indian is unquestionably the best!! The management and staff make you feel so special and the food is a delight and very reasonably priced. There is always a special touch at the end when they give you a complimentary drink before you leave. Highly recommended!!

In many ways this is a new take on an old theme. The dishes are given different names (and although I only had one 'angry bird' it was a different take on anything I had had before). I like the set menu choices, I liked the overall pricing. The peshawar nan was the best I have ever had - maybe we were lucky because were early in, but I suspect not. The sauce on my curry was unbelievable - if I lived locally I would be putting on weight very quickly from repeat visits. I haven't eaten at any other Hereford Indian restaurants so I can't say this is the best - but I can say you won't be disappointed. Enjoy

The food was fine but a little too much sauce & the lamb was a little tough. We were a large group, they did bring us all a small slice of viennetta on the house. They do a good mid week deal so not too expensive.

Food is always amazing as is the service, had a good meal. There were 22 people in our group, food all came out to the 3 tables quickly. Thank you Marygold!

Absolutely wonderful meal, fantastic service and great atmosphere. Cannot fault a thing - we had a such a lovely evening. And the free sweets and amaretto were such a treat :)

Indian street food done with panache... The menu distinguishes items inspired by Bengali street food from those invented in the "Indian" diaspora, so there is an authenticity to the menu. The service is excellent. The exterior of the building hints at a decayed British Raj, which adds an amusing touch of irony and contrasts with a modern interior with hints of the 60s. A lot of thought has gone into this restaurant.

Awesome place. Some noisy large groups can make conversation difficult but there are booths. Food is consistently good and service is top notch. We are very lucky in Hereford.

Greasy, over salted and every dish tastes exactly the same with the same spice mix. This isn't Indian cuisine, it is a lazy attempt at it. You have to lower your standards or be very hungry to truly enjoy it.

Meal out with friends. Restaurant really busy. We were tucked around the corner so maybe a bit out of sight of waiters. Food tasty enough and nice atmosphere for a catch up with friends. Some discrepancy with the bill which was easily sorted by the manager.

We went to the marygold last night,we hadn't booked but they managed to squeeze us in , but what I must say that the staff could not do enough to make our visit special and the food is the best I've ever had in a Indian restaurant and I have been to hundreds up and down the country, thank you very much we will definitely be going again.

Great friendly place to eat. Always very fresh food, good service. Great price on option 1, having a starter, main, rice or naan bread for under £14. Portion sizes are great, food is hot. Great place to visit.

Pretty good today, food arrived at different intervals tho. Just make sure you check your bills, was over charged by quite a bit.

If we ever order an Indian takeaway this is where we get it from. Our regular for a reason - the food is always excellent, delivered in good time and the service has always been great. Delivered with a smile and often a couple of freebies included.

Well, huge discovery, pleasant surprise how good it was, staff couldn't be nicer, Adelle(male name, sorry if I misspelled it) was especially nice!!! Now would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! My sister was reluctant to try another restaurant in town, but even she was converted!!! Certain staff were good noticing details one was my phone running out of charge, they quickly provided me with the charger. Excellent service and food!

Ordered at 6 pm, took over an 1 h 40 mins to be delivered. Called to check on order and was given the usual excuse that it left 10 minutes ago. Would not recommend if you wish to eat the same day it’s ordered!

Best Indian Meal I have had in Herefordshire. Great tasting food, large portions, fantastic friendly staff and a nice ambience. Will go back again and again. Just visited again, about our 6th or 7th time. Has never let us down. Even made a special vegan meal for one of our party (I know) but fantastic food yet again. If you haven't eaten here, you will not believe what you have missed.

Marygold is based on Mumbai street food. The food is extremely tasty. My 2 seasons paneer dish is a favourite. The staff were all very professional and friendly.The drinks trolley after-dinner is very welcome. Will be back. Very reasonable too.

OMG!!! Never ever before have I not been able to finish off an Indian! Absolutely gorgeous meal, BIG portions, and a decent price! Great service - just don't understand why there isn't a queue around the block to get in - Great find! 🙂
