Had food from here a few times now and its some of the best curry i have had in a long time perfect flavours and so filling aswell would 100% reccomend

Went with my mate 9th November the food was great and the service brilliant just at the end we asked for bill the chap brought it over then a older chap came over looked at the bill 49.21 we had left 50 on the tray he said is that it 79 pence tip we said yes we about give the actual waiter the tip who has been serving us not sure if he was the owner looked like it spoilt the end of the meal but we gave the tip to the chap who served us be careful seems he was trying to pinch it on the other feller

We had booked a table for this restaurant and when we arrived they could not find our booking. We were asked to take a seat and they just left us for 15 minutes. Nobody came back to up date us so we left!

Truly wonderful restaurant - very lucky that it's our local - staff are always attentive and friendly, food is excellent almost across the board. Great for both eating in and also for a cheeky takeaway.

Best place for Indian food by far. Staff are so kind and helpful. The food is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend sitting in for the complimentary food and drinks included with your order at no extra cost.

Very friendly service, delicious food. Ordered some delicious starters and shared them, it was delicious. As a main course a delicious curry with lamb (1000 Indians). We got the dessert for free and finally we also got a free drink from the company (choice of whisky, amaretto and other liqueurs). Recommended if you are in Hereford.

Lush lovely and warm just amazing

I was really disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. I had paneer curry which had about 5 pieces of paneer, the rest was boiled potatoes and beans. When I'm paying the same price as a meat dish I would have hoped for more paneer, less boiled vegetables added to the sauce. It was also incredibly sweet. Our starters took 50 minutes between ordering and arrival. We asked to order more drinks when our mains arrived (they were much faster than the starters thankfully) but no one came to take our order. So we finished our food, paid and left. Definitely will not return.

The food is absolutely incredible, so so good. On the app it said 25-50 minutes but took 90 minutes once ordered but if you’re willing to wait it’s definitely worth it

Called to say we'd been given the wrong order so turned round. Got it to our friend's house only to find one of the curries was wrong.

If I could score higher I would. Working in hospitality myself I know how challenging a day can be. But these guys go above and beyond with service. I have never been to a restaurant in Hereford where I feel so welcome, it’s always spotless clean, the food is so full of flavour. I always recommend my team to come here to learn about customer service. Well done Marygold. Great food and fantastic service as always.

Prawn Tikka marsala was very disappointing, tasted great but a few prawns in a bowl of sauce with nothing else. All the freebies are appreciated though.

The delivery driver was extremely polite and apologetic about the lateness as it was due to traffic which is completely understandable in Hereford. The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked and portioned. The popadom are to die for

I still havent recieved my order still waiting

Prior to ordering, it said the estimated time would be 50 minutes. Following the order confirmation the delivery time was 2 hours. Joke. Food arrived cold and after trying to call Mary Gold about ten times unsuccessfully I decided to just eat it as I’ve had a couple so can’t drive it back to them. The worst butter chicken I’ve ever had. In fact the whole meal was awful. Will not eat here again. Expecting a dicky belly tomorrow.

Terrible food. rice was microwaved and food tasted too sweet and way too much food colouring. As someone from Birmingham this place should learn from Our restaurants.

Really nice Indian restaurant it seems very popular so service was a bit hetic, but the quality of food was great we also got complimentry drinks, a pudding and a bowl of sweets which was a unexpected treat after a nice meal would recommend booking as it does get busy

Absolutely fantastic experience tonight. Booked a table for 2 last minute, and it was very busy when we arrived, so we were offered a quieter place to eat in the restaurant which was very considerate. Poppadoms, dips and chutneys came out first, then we ordered our starters of chicken shishlack, followed by mains of Chicken Bhuna, Jalfrezi, and 2 varieties of rice. All of the food tasted incredible. Excellent service from the servers, and they couldn't do enough for us. It was such a wonderful taste bud experience. We were given complimentary fresh orange slices, hot face towels, and chocolate mints as we left. It all came to under £40! Such wonderful value. I can't rate this restaurant higher than 5* but it's worth so much more. Do yourself a favour, visit them as soon as you have a spare evening. It's well worth the delightful experience 😁

Food is always great here, and the sitting in experience has always been great. It's excellent value and you feel very taken care of. We've also had take away and is equally as nice. Don't miss out on the chef specials either!

The food was horrible , I wish I can be refunded or given a different meal. the chicken was so sweet like they cooked in sugar syrup.

Very easily the best Indian Takeaway in Hereford! I had a takeaway of a veg biryani and a chicken biryani - both of which were excellent, generously portioned and perfectly seasoned. The mixed veg bhaji and veg chaat were also excellent! Will definitely be back again and hopefully have the chance to eat in the restaurant, which on picking up my order looked very inviting and comfortable. Great food, great service and great value for money! Thank you!

Every physical menu feels brand new, not marked. The place is always immaculately clean. A good meal is about £15. Service A1.

Sadly the food was inedible. ...low in flavour and extremely high in food colouring. Tandoori is traditionally a dry dish but this arrived swimming in oil. If I had been served this dish at a restaurant then I would have returned it to the kitchen!! I requested a refund but not acknowledged. Binned!!!!

Fantastic meal and amazing value.

A very decent curry. We have tried several curry houses around Hereford over the years and finally found a place that serves good authentic food with regard to spice, flavour and ingredients. My main dish was the indian railway curry which was full of flavour and came in a generous portion. My companions were VEGAN and the restaurant accommodated their needs without fuss.

Having ordered a few takeaways over recent months from Mary Gold - and been impressed with some really tasty and varied dishes - it’s become our preferred Indian takeaway in Hereford. Polite and positive customer service so far also, which is much appreciated - with thanks.

Group of 12 went for a 40th birthday meal. Service was excellent, going out of their way with brining our cake out with Indian drums and singing along with complimentary desserts. As a seasoned heatonist regularly riding the reaper train, I ordered the Chicken Gunpowder main but asked them to make it very hot. It was incredible. I started hallucinating after the third bite, sweating behind my ears and by the time I'd finished the meal I had significant hearing loss. 11/10. Incredible. I wish I lived closer to make it my regular.

the food was just warm when arrived. The naan bread wasn't what we ordered we had plain naan, we ordered garlic and coriander. Not good at all quite disappointed 😔

My favourite Indian take away. The only thing I would love is for Panner tikka masala to be put on the takeaway menu so when I can't get through to you when calling up I can go through the app instead. Never had a bad experience with food from these guys. Sorry I don't have pictures at the moment but I'll try remember to take some when I next have food from you guys which will probably be soon.

Given it was midweek it was very busy and unlike previous visits the wait to order and food to come to table was a lot longer than I have previously experienced. However as always the food was lovely.

Good staff and good food at reasonable prices

First and foremost this is not an accessible restaurant. The only access is through a narrow alley that can barely fit a wheelchair with assistance due to the gates and rough pavement. My wheelchair had to be left outside in said alleyway for my meal as there was no way it could enter the restaurant. The staff tried to help but in a way that was condescending and largely unhelpful. The food was ok. If you are disabled avoid at all cost.

This is a fantastic indian restaurant. Food superb , cant fault it... we were a group of 8, everyone was served food at the same time. Excellent value and quality. Entrance bad for disabled no handles or ramps in but food excellent

I travel all over the UK and use various restaurants when on business and Marygold Indian is unquestionably the best!! The management and staff make you feel so special and the food is a delight and very reasonably priced. There is always a special touch at the end when they give you a complimentary drink before you leave. Highly recommended!!

In many ways this is a new take on an old theme. The dishes are given different names (and although I only had one 'angry bird' it was a different take on anything I had had before). I like the set menu choices, I liked the overall pricing. The peshawar nan was the best I have ever had - maybe we were lucky because were early in, but I suspect not. The sauce on my curry was unbelievable - if I lived locally I would be putting on weight very quickly from repeat visits. I haven't eaten at any other Hereford Indian restaurants so I can't say this is the best - but I can say you won't be disappointed. Enjoy

Indian street food done with panache... The menu distinguishes items inspired by Bengali street food from those invented in the "Indian" diaspora, so there is an authenticity to the menu. The service is excellent. The exterior of the building hints at a decayed British Raj, which adds an amusing touch of irony and contrasts with a modern interior with hints of the 60s. A lot of thought has gone into this restaurant.

Awesome place. Some noisy large groups can make conversation difficult but there are booths. Food is consistently good and service is top notch. We are very lucky in Hereford.

Greasy, over salted and every dish tastes exactly the same with the same spice mix. This isn't Indian cuisine, it is a lazy attempt at it. You have to lower your standards or be very hungry to truly enjoy it.
