Can’t comment on the food as we never got served. I don’t mind waiting if someone was to say “I’ll be with you asap sir “ Server 1 a young lad looked at me in the eye (no-one else in the queue)& carried on doing what he was doing. His supervisor then did the same. We put our sandwiches & drinks back & walked out. First bad review I’ve left on TA I think.

Nice snacks and drinks on offer and a pleasant setting. To take a quick break and bite to eat while visiting the wonderful ship this is well worth the visit

I occasionally meet up with friends for lunch at the Mary Rose cafe in Portsmouth Dockyard. Where else can you see the oldest ship in the Royal Navy, Victory, and the newest, Prince of Wales, at the same time! Always something interesting to see. Food always good and the staff very friendly, even though they always seem understaffed and worked off their feet. So I thought I'd say thank you here. But I was amazed to see some negative reviews of the staff. Never had any problems but I have witnessed some appallingly rude customers, some of whom seem to expect a full restaurant type menu and silver service! Vast majority of customers seem very happy with the cafe and service. Would recommend.

Nice for the museum to have a cafe for when you’re finished inside, a lot of sandwiches and paninis to choose from and the cake display looked amazing! I had a latte which not only looked amazing but taste amazing too. Staff were smiling and super quick with service. Would definitely go again

Absolutely shocking, ask for a cream tea was told they didn’t do them which was fine, so asked for scone & two cups of tea, took them to the table & my husband asked where the cream & jam were, I said there isn’t any, 5 mins later another couple came & sat next to us & I noticed they had jam & cream so I asked if they paid seperate for them, no they replied it it was all together, I will go & see why we weren’t giving any with ours I said, good luck said the lady, the girl who served us is in a foul mood!! When I asked the girl she said she had offered it to me, which she definitely did not, then I was accused of calling her a liar, I said why would I not of said I wanted some after asking for a cream tea at the first request, then I was told to shut up in mid sentence because she was talking 🤷‍♀️ Then she tells me that she has to look at me while I spoke because she was hard of hearing, so I responded by saying it would be helpful if she wore a lanyard or something to let the customers know of her disability, & would speak up, then she accused me of having a go at her because of her deafness which I was left gobsmacked ( she didn’t have a problem hearing other customers orders while they were wearing masks) I asked to see the manager & was told she was the manager, she was rude, unhelpful, & has no people skills!! I will never be visiting again

After the card system not work in Boat house 7 restaurant and the cash machine being out of order we were directed to The Mary Rose cafe only to be met with extremely Rude staff, appalling food choice and prices to match. I can’t understand why they don’t have childrens options in a family environment the other cafe offers childrens 5 item meals for £5.99 I had to pay £5.50 for a chicken and bacon sandwich for my son that had 2 pieces of chicken and no bacon I had a tuna melt that I wouldn’t feed to a dog all served up by miserable staff

I went in this cafe on Wednesday with my partner, don’t bother if you are thinking of a visit, rude, ignorant staff members, my partner asked if they served soup or jacket potatoes, we where abruptly told no, when asked if there was anything hot we where simply told look in the fridge, no help, no guidance, nothing, to have such rude staff in such a wonderful museum is shameful.

My wife, myself and two long-time friends, all in our sixties, had coffee and cake here after visiting HMS Victory and it was quite a pleasant experience. It was a wet and windy day, so really nice to sit in the warmth and have a drink and relax. The prices weren’t too bad and the drink and cakes were great, so no complaints and we would certainly visit again if we were ever in the dockyard.

The Mary Rose cafe a little pricy but actually very worth it with the service you get and the coffee wow it just tasted amazing! I left my family in the Musuem as it was way to dark for me which made me feel very dizzy so I came out for a coffee (a little cake) and a well earned break. I was served by lady with tattoos who helped me carry my coffee over to the table as I did feel very dizzy. She came back over to check up on me really appreciated it! The young man who made my coffee I think he was in training well done to him it was wonderful. The plum bakewells was something different and tasty! Overall really enjoyed the cafe and the view, what a lovely place it must be to work.
