The Longshore in Adur

I came with my friends for some food & the food was amazing and our server Laura was attentive & amazing she made our experience something to remember.

I had a voucher for a third off Mains and my friend and I were very impressed by both the food and the service. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. My steak was cooked to perfection and my friend's food was also enjoyable and nicely presented. The bonus to the evening was that they had an excellent band playing, which started after food service was over. We were going to look for a music venue after our meal, but didn't need to. All in all, an excellent evening.

The nicest waitress Laura!! Great customer service from a lovely young lady Laura, she was very friendly, extremely helpful as we had a big group and made sure everything went smooth!! the food was as expected, quick and tasty. Will be back again

Anyone else picked up a parking fine from Premier Parking, for parking in their pub car park for one hour 24 minutes, while havin g lunch there. This can’t be right,

We visited the Longshore today to have breakfast with Spiderman , unfortunately we completely missed the slot , not to disappoint the Longshore staff went above and beyond to make sure our children left happy , I can’t thank the lovely staff enough and look forward to returning with all my family highly recommended.

Very good but it was quite busy which caused a delay in food delivery (40mins) apart from that it was a pleasant experience.o

Friendly staff,very clean,food cooked to perfection,really was great atmosphere faultless to be fair.

Prebooked. 1pm. Didn’t make a difference that we had booked. As we got told there was hours wait. So we left. I appreciate if places get busy and if you just turn up and wait an hour, it wouldn’t be a problem but to accept a booking a few days before, is.

Pleasant staff, order was delivered to our table in good time, there was 4 adults, in which each of us were very satisfied with the service and the food. We will definitely return again.

A great welcome and really good service. Although there was a mix-up on the order, it was quickly dealt with and fully resolved . Would recommend the trifle cheesecake! Overall a good experience and we would return again.

We were very disappointed this time we waited an hour and a half for our food and two of us had a roast beef dinner ,the beef was very tough as were the yorkshires ,but we had waited so long we ate what we could ,all the rest of our party enjoyed theirs .We didn’t have time to wait again for pudding ,such a shame as it was Mother’s Day you should have had more staff or better ones in the kitchen .

Much improved all round, we had been disappointed some time back but would recommend now. Will re visit.

Mothers day meal yesterday 29/03/2025. A shambles in a place that used to be really good. Was told food is ready, sat down to no food but everyone else on the table had theirs. I had to ask for mine and my wife's food, came out eventually and ordered at the same time as the party. Had dessert and again ordered at the same time. Each dessert came out one at a time, which in my opinion is terrible service. Had chocolate fudge cake with cream and got icecream. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

A really nice family meal for Mother’s Day - it was a fair wait for food as it was obviously busy but all the staff were really friendly, especially Macie who served us. She took our orders quickly, gave us regular updates on our meal and asked regularly if we’d like drinks. Cant say fairer than that when they were full to the brim.

This was a quick stop off before a hour drive home and The Longshore didn’t disappoint. Great online ordering system and our server, Chris, was very friendly and a credit to the pub. Thank you.

Very good value and well cooked food from a wide ranging menu. Having a 30% off incentive on the main course was a bonus. It is always fairly busy there which indicates it is popular and the service was excellent.

Food was ok but a little cold when it eventually arrived, Service was terrible, Over an hour wait for both courses. No one appeared to be clearing tables, we had to take our used plates to the bar ourselves while we awaited deserts. No one asked if food was ok. Only one barman working who was totally over run with trying to take orders and get drinks. No care taken with food or drinks, our drinks were almost thrown at us and spilled, food rolled around the plates as they dumped down on the table. This was the worst experience I have ever has eating out.

We always come here when we have a long break at college for a few games of pool and we love the food and drinks.

We booked my daughter's 18th birthday meal just after Xmas and staff were very helpful and quick to respond to questions and communication was outstanding. On the evening we were offered a choice of places to sit and staff were again extremely helpful kind and interacted with our evening in a very positive manor and nothing was a problem.

I was here with my wife and son on Tuesday afternoon. The chilli I had was really tasty as was the chicken pie and cowboy burger and chips. Cannot fault the meal and friendly service of the staff made for a lovely visit. Will definitely be going back.

we went in there because we are local but we had not booked for lunch in Shoreham . The wait was a bit longer than we thought but they were very busy. We had a dog with us and the staff were very dog friendly. We ordered 2 roast beef roasts but they only had 1 left and no cauliflower cheese . The staff were lovely but the food was so bland ….the roast potatoes were soft and no crisp to them , no cauliflower cheese . I’m not the burst cook in the world but my roast surpassed yours on every level.

The pub was fairly busy so the loudness of the piped music was unnecessary. I ordered food and drinks at the bar. I returned with the drinks to our table and half an hour later I had to return to the bar to hasten our food. The 2 ladies made no positive comments about their food, but mine was the worst pub meal that I have had for 30 years. It was steak & ale pie with chips and peas with gravy. I managed to cut the cardboard looking pastry in 2 so I could pour the gravy onto it. Result by item = pastry bad, content minimal and taste was achieved with plenty of English mustard, peas = lots of green bullets, chips = below average but some enhancement from the gravy.

We received outstanding service from Gavin, he couldn't have done anything more to make our family visit any better.

Friendly staff, they gave us a warm welcome. Food was good, one of us is veggie, gluten and onion intolerant which unfortunately left them with no real options apart from fries. However it was handy that the online menu has filters to take the guesswork out of it. We had two children with us and they both enjoyed their food.

Been to the longshore a few times now, most recent being the pizza and donut making event for the kids! The kids love going, the food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Most importantly for us it has a place when the kids can play and is fully disabled friendly, so have been able to meet up with family with ease. Thank you for making each time we visit special and enjoyable ☺️

Wide selection of standard, classic and unusual dishes at great prices. A small misunderstanding was cleared up immediately and we all enjoyed it. Only downfall was the Irish coffee - bar person didn't seem to know what one was and it came like a latte, all mixed up.

Staff were so friendly and welcoming, very good price point food was tasty too. Would recommend. Easy to park.

Great roast at the Longshore! Partner had the turkey and I had the spinach tart. Service was good particularly Chris who was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back :) Oh and music was nice choice of jazz, blues and old easy listening classics perfect for a Sunday!

I booked a table but when we arrived it was right next to the toilets. I asked to have the table changed and Alana (our waitress) was able to offer a much better position. Service was very good and timely but not overly attentive (I don’t like people asking if things are okay mid way through a meal). The overall quality of the food was very good but the music was too loud for us, but we got used to it and were able to talk. Steak was a good medium rare, not over cooked!

Stopped in for a quiet meal with my dog and 1 year old, before I’d even ordered food one of the staff members was popping balloons from a previous party scaring the crap out of my dog, had to leave before even picking something to eat…..
