The Liverpool Arms in Cheshire West and Chester

Great for a good night out, danced all night and sang once on karaoke so ye good for gay people also straight people but if you are not gay or lesbian do not knock this great pub

Myself and my partner visited here a couple of times in June and again August 2023 when staying in Chester. A lovely little pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I think one of the nights there was also a quiz on! A nice little place.

Dj Carl was amazing! Really enjoyed karaoke, miss hertz was amazing at Music, I can’t believe that a Tuesday night out can be so much fun! Also charged my phone for me so made sure I got home safe with my phone charged! Half an hour away! Will 100% come again can’t wait till next Tuesday xxxx

I hadn't been to this gay bar for many years but almost nothing had changed. Not sure why this is listed as a gastropub because it isn't. However for a few beers in a relaxed atmosphere it serves it's purpose more than adequately

In my opinion, an unpleasant smell throught the pub but worse in the toilets. Lots of small flies in the air and on the tables, worse in the toilets. Incence sticks being burned to disguise the awful smell. The single cask ale (Speckled Hen) looked good and clear but tasted stale and acid. Good replacement pint of Guinness finished in haste. Pleasant and friendly service. Not a pub to linger in or return to.

Avoid as possible, We was served by a very rude woman who proclaimed to run the pub. She made made great lengths to make myself and my family feel worthless

Visited after a long day at work for a quick pint before heading home! Ended up staying the entire night!! They had this incredible act on with abit of karaoke and the place was full from start to finish! Had the warmest welcome from the girl behind the bar and even spent a while chatting to them about Chester! Really really friendly place with entertainment on all week! Will be back very soon

Firstly staff are lovely very friendly, entertainment is amazing, they really know how to party in The LA, they only let down is that smell in the toilets, it punches you in the throat, I actually nearly threw up! Not noticed that smell anywhere else in Chester. Complete shame because it's a brill little venue.

Nice little pub. Myself, mum and sister are traumatized after our visit as two old ladies were dancing with their breasts out. All in good humour, but still not something you want to remember eating your breakfast the day after. I will never listen to insomnia by faithless the same again. Good atmosphere, decent priced drinks.

Great pub , good price drinks, music was brilliant if you like 80s , everyone friendly would definitely recommend this place ,

It's great to see Blue Moon on tap. Came here on a Monday evening during the pub quiz. The language was absolutely appalling. I will obviously have to go to The Boot but Mobile phones are banned there!

Asked to leave when I didn’t even say a word to anyone. Thrown out and embarrassed by you when I just stood h a bar, no right to reply and no reason. Then my friend falsely accused of something and thrown out, searched by police for no reason. A third person, my girlfriend, refused to service when she did nothing at all. Absolutely disgraceful service and treatment, wondered why the LA has a bad reputation, now we know why. Would not recommend to anyone to go here.

Purchased one glass of wine as I had visited my partners grave earlier that day. Was waiting for one of his best friends to join me. Another man at the bar offered to buy me a drink which I was reluctant to accept. I left the bar to go and light a candle in Chester Cathedral for my partner and say a prayer. Did some other business around the City went back to the Liverpool Arms as is around the corner from bus depot. When I went back for the glass of wine or any other service they refused to serve me ! AM SORRY I HONESTLY THOUGH LANDLORDS AND LAND LADIES HAVE DUTY OF CARE TO CUSTOMERS ?

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping down Northgate Street when we decided to drop into The Liverpool Arms Pub,a pub we always look forward to visiting on any trip to this famous Roman walled city we take. A really nice interior ,a solid wood serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings ,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,a great pub to chill out in. We were here on a freezing cold Thursday night,pub was busy with a great atmosphere,we ordered Strongbow dark fruit cider's,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling,we just kicked back,chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Every now and again I enjoy a cider and the cider served here was so good,freezing cold and so refreshing ,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a tasty cider . We really enjoyed our cider's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to The Liverpool Arms Pub we had a great time. The Liverpool Arms Pub is easy to locate along Upper Northgate Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday,open from midday. Friday & Saturday,open from 10am. Sunday,open from midday. A great pub,one I highly recommend you check out if you're in the area.

The Liverpool Arms is a superb little pub in the market area of Chester and is located were there are many pubs and bars. Located on Northgate street and a stones throw away from the Christmas Market'this is a great little pub with a nice interior with great decor and good seating options. After visiting a few pubs around this part of Chester we decided to go here for a quick beer or two. This pub was very busy as were most of the pubs we visited in this area of Chester and on our visit to this fantastic pub we had an excellent cask ale from Purity brewery that were served in perfect condition and price wise on par with other pubs in Chester. This is a great pub and well worth going to and so easy to find from Upper Northgate bus stop it's a few minute's walk.(This is my first review of the Liverpool Arms. Opening Hours. Gorgeous place which is absolutely full of life. You can comfortably go alone and go with friends. Welcoming, warm and fun. Particularly good for the LGBTQIA+ community but it’s inclusive of all.
