The Little Tea House in Horsham

Quite a nice little cafe, quite busy. Service was good. Had a hot drink and a huge slice of cake! Sadly the place was absolutely filthy! I dropped some money on the floor and when I bent down to pick it up I was appalled! That dirt definitely was there from today or even this week. Window sills and windows filthy too. Made me think twice about going again!

This is a deservedly popular tea, coffee and cake room. Delicious cakes and pastries to eat in or take out. Good amount of space and very friendly staff. A real gem.

Lovely café! Really welcoming atmosphere. Baby and dog friendly as well. Cakes were amazing too. My mother in law and I had a great time along with my 5 weeks old baby.

Lovely, simple local cafe, serving good coffee, freshly made cakes and other snack food. Staff always cheerful and friendly, and usually busy with locals who all seem to know each other and the staff.

Visited this lovely cafe for the second time today and honestly, the staff I met today and on my previous visit were all so warm and welcoming. When I went before they were kind enough to cut my toasted sandwich up even more as I had a babe in arms with me and again today they were so accommodating. The cake selection is fantastic as are the iced teas! It really is a lovely little Teahouse and a great stop off on the Downs Link.

New to the area. Had a pleasant surprise coming across this little tea shop for brunch. Lovely staff, food, coffee, atmosphere and prices. And to top it off - they use tea cosies to keep your tea hot too!

Best place to meet friends and gossip.

So very highly recommended. Very close to the Downslink - if you’re walking or cycling there do take a short detour and call in for refreshment.

Love our local teahouse (the coffee's very good too!) You will always be sure of a warm welcome, excellent service and delicious homemade cakes/sandwiches etc. I especially recommend the chocolate brownies 😊 Thank you, ladies! See you again soon!

Love this little place. We visit regularly on a Friday morning for some late morning food. In between school drop off and before a childrens group. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble! I ordered a toasted tea cake for my children, one of the lovey ladies offered to butter it and cut it up for me to save me the trouble. Honestly, it’s the small things like that, that make the day seem so much better

Very friendly place. Always welcoming to a bunch of sweaty cyclists in desperate need of mid-ride sustenance. And the cakes are fantastic. 😋

They have moved round the corner but kept all the dining options. Much more inside seating. Quick helpful happy staff. Food tasty local freshly made. Drinks could be leaf tea to up the game but fine. Prices good for the area. Atmosphere could do with a bit of thought IMO but hey they only just opened and it's great. Well done good job thanks. Will go again.

Plenty of free parking right outside. Close to country park and the very popular dinosaur island park in Southwater. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, delish cakes and lunches etc and perfect tea, coffee and hot chocolate! Lovely place well worth a visit.

I love the little Tea House. It's a favourite with my two young grand kids! Delicous ham sandwiches, babychino, lemon slice, and chocolate brownie. That's just for them! Mmmmm.

1st visit to cafe, Lovely staff. Ordered a cheese and ham toastie and coffee it was okay but nothing special. Big downside no wi-fi at this cafe, in the 21st century this needs sorting by the management as you don’t get a phone signal here and won’t be contactable in cases of emergency or able to send / receive important messages by text.

Always a lovely warm welcome here. They make you feel like part of the furniture. It's great that it's dog friendly when it's so close to the Downslink. You don't have to be afraid of going in with muddy boots. It's a place run by people conscious and accommodating of their surroundings.

Popped into Southwater and want a quick bite to eat. The Little Tea House was just right for the occasion. The menu is very simple with toasties and similar and a specials board (which had a nice soup offered when we visited). There were tea cakes and alike to follow. The tearooms were crowded at lunchtime and seemed child friendly (with many high chairs available). There is free (2 hour parking) outside in the Council Car Park (if only Horsham were the same !). They didn't appear to have customer WIFI available, which was a shame as my Vodafone was patchy inside the restaurant. However both the coffee (and more importantly) the staff were extremely nice.

Great coffee and tea shop with lovely friendly staff. Great coffee just let down on the day I visited by a really dirty floor. It didn’t look as if it had been cleaned for days or weeks. Apart from that, very nice.

I love the choice of hot drinks - especially the range of teas - along with the outdoor seating, which is covered. (I have not commented on the food as I have yet to sample the food on offer).

Now in bigger premises next door. Can't fault it. First class food, sandwiches made freshly, and cakes baked in store. Lovely friendly staff. We had decaf tea and a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Some of the best mature cheddar I've had in a long time. Followed by a piece of Victoria sponge. Well it was my birthday! Fair and reasonable prices. Can't wait to visit again.

Lovely new premises, landed here on the grand opening. Staff are wonderful and very welcoming. Food selection is just right and the quality is perfect. Would recommend it to anyone living in the area or visiting the area, it never disappoints.

All I can say is mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Coffee: lovely. Cakes of different types: moist and tasty. Staff: friendly and efficient. My daughter and I have tried a few different Cakes on offer on mondays and are always so happy with the selection available, taste and how moreishly moist they all are. Can't comment on anything savoury as we just treat ourselves to cake and coffee. Definitely will return and actually do return 3 or 4 times a month.

Had a pot of tea and a tea cake with my friends the staff are always frendly and welcoming the cakes are always fresh and there is plenty of seats out side if inside is busy as its quite small inside.

We only had sandwiches and cold drinks but there were other options on the menu - we sat outside as it was a hot day but they had seating in the shade - the tea house is situated in the shopping area of Southwater and there is parking

Great tasting coffee and cakes. Quick polite service despite being busy. Nice table outside well away from the shop entrance. Will be back soon.

Visited here on my bike for the first time today for a halfway coffee stop. The flapjack was exceptional, coffee was great and they filled my water bottle. Very reasonably priced, the staff were really friendly and helpful, a really lovely place, will definitely be going back.

Always friendly, great sandwiches and cakes and coffee. Can get busy at times and indoor space can soon get full up but plenty of outdoor seating.

Some of the best Tea/Coffee in the South! Coffee is life and I will always go here if i'm out and about. Sometimes I will even go out of my way to go here because I love it so much :)

For a little shop, the coffee was great. Hot and not bitter.

A good selection of cold and hot drinks and a variety of delicious cakes. Friendly staff, excellent location. Definitely worth stopping over for a cupper while on the Downs Link or when you are in the area. Highly recommended.

Great customer service and great sandwich

Both waitresses were really rude. After saying there was no ham baguettes, 2 minutes later then rudely said there were no baguettes at all apart from a singular ham baguette. There was hair in both my milkshake and jacket potato, and they forgot to bring my friend’s flat white and scone. After asking for the ‘large scone’ a second time, it finally came and was the size of a digestive biscuit. Really poor and won’t be visiting again.

My colleague and I have been treating ourselves to a take away lunch for the last few weeks. The sandwiches are delicious, fresh and beautifully presented in a recyclable box and wooden cutlery. Sandwiches come with crisps and a side salad. The staff within the tea house are attentive and super friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. We do indulge in cake also. Once again these are freshly made and an absolute treat to have! My Wednesday lunch will be a continued treat forever more! Thanks

Good tea and cakes! Only problem is that is seating is limited inside if the weather is not good enough to use the outside tables.

Just what you need at the Downs Link half way point! Wonderfully warm service, great tea, and fabulous home made cakes. The Blueberry sponge is excellent! You can sit outside or in.

It is great to find a cafe that does really deliver. We had 30 minutes in hand prior to a meeting and went in and had a cheese and tomato sandwich, a tuna melt and a pot of tea. It is always encouraging when you have a choice of thick cut breads rather than the already made up thin plastic wrapped options available at some other places. The tea was fine and the teapot poured beautifully so no mess on the table. I don’t know about other items but the standard set would encourage us to come back.

I have been to the cafe when i stay in Southwater when i am dog sitting. They are absolutely the best family run cafe and quality of sandwiches and cakes are amazing. In fact that is why i like to visit.

My wife and I indulge in breakfast, usually twice a week, after walking around the water park. The welcome is wonderful Like visiting old friends. Great coffee, amazing bacon sandwiches. When possible we sit outside, with blankets provided If you haven’t visited yet, then take my advice and do so, you won’t be disappointed Marjorie and Peter Cannadine

Popped in for refreshments with friends. Always a genuine, warm greeting and the staff always make time for a chat. Lovely little spot to sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by as well as indoor seating when it’s cooler. Hot and cold drinks available and a lovely array of cakes on display. Very nice little place to eat, greet, meet and take the weight of your feet !!

Just stopped for a breather on a busy day. A good choice of cake and I enjoyed a seasonal slice of apple and blackberry. Excellent coffee, too. Very small cafe and probably not the best place for a private conversation, but cosy and warmly welcomed by the staff.
