Morning coffee with family. Coffee and tea were ok but the member of staff serving was not particularly welcoming. We sat outside in the courtyard area which looked unloved - it could have been very attractive but felt like no effort had been made. Disappointed.

Oh dear, had a take away coffee a couple of weeks ago which wasn't exactly great and thought I would try again. I am learning coffee is not their speciality. Today the coffee arrived with the cup in a flooded saucer and had no hint of froth on top, it was supposed to be a latte. On pointing this out the male member of staff was very blunt and rude! It suggests the staff are not trained baristas and lack basic hospitality skills. The same member of staff was then seen having a break and sitting on the table and chairs outside near to us having a cigarette which made us feel the image of hygiene was not a priority. The outside area was looking liked nobody had been keeping it tidy. I will not be going back for a third attempt at coffee for a long time.

Good coffee and a pleasant atmosphere. Coffee shops have disappointed in Modbury in recent years but this one made a good impression. We will return!

We’ve visited the Little Kitchen a few times in recent weeks first for coffee and then for lunch and last night we took a group of local friends and every time we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambience, we think the evening menu could be improved re a more varied choice, however we’ve always been very welcome and looking forward to going again in the next few days

We stopped in for brunch on our way to Salcombe. The place is so cute and the staff is welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent! I had the Avocado Brunch and my husband had the TLK Breakfast. Delicious! I enjoyed chatting with our lovely young server on the way out.

The Little Kitchen has taken over the position of the old wine bar/bistro in this lovely old building. It has been good to see it restored and updated. Quite a quirky space with a nice outdoor courtyard. A great spot for a cocktail or drinks. We booked a table for 6 for a get together with friends and were keen to try out this new restaurant. We shared various small plates of starters/tapas which were good and a great idea particularly if you were having drinks and wanted something small. We each had a main, mostly burgers which came with stacks of chips. All in all a successful evening at a reasonable price. I think this place should do well and will be a good stop off for holiday makers this summer. Staff were good.

We had a lovely lunch, nice atmosphere, I can highly recommend the fish finger sandwich, it was delicious! The lady serving us was very friendly and helpful, even offering us a better table with a view of the estuary when it became available.

Called in for a drink whilst on holiday in the area one evening - unable to order a taxi as no one about (no Uber either) and buses had stopped running - big thank you to Clare - (hope I spelt name correctly ), behind the bar for helping us find someone to take us back to our campsite- another big thank you Riddell Executive Cars for the ride!
