The Little Deli. Should be named the Little Devil as it’s a shop of food tempting goodness. Bacon and egg on a baguette with turned out to be two eggs few slices of thick cut bacon. Cooked there and then. Service was great friendly and chatty. I highly recommend it. Definitely going back.

Perfect for a refreshing meal and coffee. Unpretentious food and service. Good value and well cooked. The Deli has a charming intimacy. I enjoyed my visit here.

Ventured, I’ll be it, 5 minutes up the lane to the little deli after seeing it on FB. I went with my sister and 3 year old niece. We had a wonderful experience here, the staff are friendly, welcoming and offer a great service (which many places lack nowadays!). We were offered toys for my niece straight away - they had a great selection and it kept her quiet and occupied for the time we were in there. The food Absolutely delicious…huge portions ! I had the garlic mushrooms with bread and salad, I devoured it. My niece had fish fingers, chips and beans (this was also a big portion) and my sister had a jacket potato with tuna mayo and salad (again, brilliant portion). It came in a timely manner and well presented. My sister is gluten intolerant and we were very impressed that they seemed to have everything set up for gluten free - including the delicious brownies ! The cafe itself So cute, warm and had local handmade items there for you to buy which is always a nice touch. We will most definitely be back again! What a little gem.

Thanks to The Little Deli for their outstanding buffet they provided for an after funeral gathering at Bickerton Village Hall. The selection and service were second to none, and everyone commented on how good the food was. Very professionally organised and put our minds at rest

The food at The little deli is beautiful, fresh and very moreish. We usually visit at least once a week and that could be more often if time allowed. The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. I cannot have much dairy due to an intolerance so the staff are more than happy to adjust meals and swap and change things to help with this. Cakes are all homemade and taste sensational I would recommend them all! I highly reccomend a trip here and once you've been the first time you won't be able to stay away. Brilliant staff brilliant food and a friendly atmosphere too. Well done Girls

Originally we had booked somewhere close to a venue we were attending. However on arrival the accommodation was not as expected and we needed to find somewhere else to stay. We contacted 32 Torporley and spoke to Ben who sorted us out with a room. On arrival Ben couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel and our room was amazing with everything we needed. The complementary snacks and cereals were a nice touch. All the staff we met were very friendly. We were unable to sample the restaurant food as we were attending a concert however we will definitely return in the near future. Highly recommended 5*

A lovely first time visit spent at Poppy Rose Tea Rooms for Afternoon Tea with my Bestie! 🥰 Beautiful setting with the decor giving ‘a touch of class’ style, the feel of a classic English Rose garden. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and with two ‘chatterboxes’ like us, we didn’t feel rushed in any way. So good we have booked again for next week! Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Below average food at an above average price. Took an exceptionally long time to come and had to send a plate back for being too salty. Music was loud drum and bass, not enjoyable at all unless your hoping for a club atmosphere.

This is the most pretentious and pointless cafe I have ever been in. As a cyclist I have been in virtually every cafe in the county, but none have ever prompted me to write a negative review. I arrived at exactly 13:30, after a long cold ride and in need of some hot food, which was simply a toasted tea cake and a pot of tea. I was told, point blanc, “hot food has finished, as we close at 2 pm”. Within a few minutes of sitting down, all be it a very pleasant and small venue, a ridiculously loud, automated loud speaker announcement came on, telling us that hot food had now finished. The women opposite me almost jumped out of her chair. Over the next 20 minutes there were 3 more announcements, basically counting down to closure. It was laughable, especially when the ‘Big Brother’ like voice told us that the team had started their shut down procedures or words to that effect. The final announcement at 13:55, which was also condescending, basically repeated previous announcements, but added that everybody should take their plates etc to the counter in order to help the team. The 2 guys working behind the counter are literally only 15 feet from the customers. There are only 7, 2 seater tables and a large sofa + an arm chair to look after. There was no outside tables on the day, as there is only a pavement outside that they can put 2 more 2 seater patio tables on, but it was to cold on the day, being 3 Mar. To make it worse, they close even earlier on the weekend- Joke!

Went with friends on the evening of Chester Races which may have been a tactical error. Starters were fine but one of our parties fish and chips wasn’t good at all. There was something wrong with the fish. However the problem was very well dealt with by the manager. Ultimately a disappointing meal but very good service.
