My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into The Leopard, our first visit to here and it was really good. The pub itself is superb, light and airy, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings and lots of big screens to enjoy the sport, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a Sunday night, a bitterly cold February night, pub was busy, we got beers from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. My beer was really good, a golden, lager style beer, hoppy, bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this pub, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a delicious beer and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Leopard we had a great time. The Leopard is easy to locate along Foregate Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, open from 11am. Friday & Saturday, open from 10am. Sunday, open from 11am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a trip to Chester.

The Leopard on Forgate street is a brilliant sports-pub that offer's a really good range of well priced drinks and it's located in one of the liveliest areas of Chester. This is a large spacious pub with a brilliant well kept interior with nice decor and great seating option's.There's a pool table and a dart's board and many TV screen's and on our visit it was very busy. This was our first visit to the Leopard and it was as lively as can be as they offer a well priced range of drink's.On our visit we only had a few lager's as we where on a bit of a pub crawl. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its a nice pub in a nice area of Chester and its a pub well worth visiting.(This is my first reviews of the Leopard). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.00-Onwards.

Like this place decent quality drinks at affordable prices. Think I had 2 pints one a fruity cider and a Amstel for under £7. Now that’s beautiful and as a bonus they play music and have quality tv screens at every table . It’s a yes from me and the staff was good and friendly .

I feel it imperative to let you know about the very low standard of service myself and my partner experienced in Chester’s branch “The Leapord”. This evening at approximately 20:30 hours, I attended the above branch with my partner for a Sunday evening drink prior to returning home. I ordered 2 x cruzcampo tops with some lime juice costing £9.50. Unfortunately, the drink was extremely flat and tasted like metal, as though you had a 50p in your mouth sort of taste. We pulled the manager to one side (Sophie McDermott) and explained that we were really sorry but we couldn’t drink it. She responded with agreeing that the drink looked cloudy and flat and stated that “just this once” she would replace them. I thought this was quite a strange thing to say given she was agreeing that the drink looked and appeared flat however, as she was agreeing to change them we didn’t think anything of it. We thanked her for swapping them however, the drinks were still flat and tasted of iron/metal. I have taken them both back up and spoken to the same female and explained that we couldn’t drink them and she stated there was nothing she could do about it. Confused, I explained that we had paid £9.50 for drinks that we a) hadn’t drank and b) through no fault of our own were flat and therefore in my opinion not up to standard. She shrugged her shoulder and stated that if we didn’t want them we didn’t have to drink them but she had “paid for them out of her own wages to be replaced in the first place”. I advised her that I didn’t wish to pay for something I wasn’t going to drink and again she shrugged her shoulders and replied “well you’re the only person to complain”. I looked around and informed her there was approximately 5 people in the bar and in my opinion it doesn’t matter if the bar is empty or full, if the lines aren’t clean and the drink is flat (confirmed and agreed by herself also) then I didn’t feel the need to pay for something or at least be offered an alternative drink. She basically walked away from me mid conversation repeating that given I was the only one complaining she wouldn’t be refunding me as it’s something she is unable to do. As someone who is in a customer facing role myself, I find that the level of service quite poor that I am expected to pay for something that I haven’t been able to drink due to the standard being below where it should be. Both myself and my partner were extremely polite with the manager however, I am less than impressed with the quality and the service provided by staff. I must stress that the quality of the drink was extremely poor and I can provide a photograph of the 2 pints left on the bar (you can see how flat they are). Safe to say we left and won’t be returning

Great atmosphere, tv's with sports coverage but no sound and great mixed background tunes being played at a level that enables you to chat. The place is spotless and the drinks are really cheap

I went to this place yesterday night (saturday 14th october) and i just had to rush home and write this review. Can i give a massive thank you to the staff member called Mollie. My husband Jerry and i went for a lovely drink to celebrate his promotion , and we are quite a friendly couple and love a good chat haha LOL, so when we saw this staff member collecting glasses , she was so polite to us and had a chat (while also continuing to do her job). Mollie truly did make our night and i can't thank her enough for her politeness and willingness to chat to us - this is how every worker should be with customers. What a credit to this establishment. Hope to visit again and be greeted with a familiar face

Brilliant pub but the music is far far to loud for the pub you used to be able to hold a conversation now you have to shout people are leaving .one half of the pub should be for loud music and one for people to relax and enjoy this lovely pub trying to be something it's not.

As a bar this is a decent place, that's the ok part of this review now for the bad part we as two couples (in our mid 50's) visited the bar and spent a few hrs there all was fine until one of us was served a drink with flat coke when we respectfully asked for the drink to be changed we were met with an extremely rude reaction from bar staff they eventually gave us a new drink but when we went to get our next drinks the manageress and two Door men approached us and said we had been abusive to the bar staff and told to leave ,we were completely surprised by this accusation and even more surprised by the aggressive actions of both the bouncers and the manageress hence we will never set foot in that place again and would strongly advise any of our friends against doing so either, there are multiple great bars in chester if your wise you would avoid this one and spend your money elsewhere .

A little gem! We found this place by looking on trip advisor. Had a lovely meal with 2 kids and nothing was ever too much trouble. Would come again if we lived closer!

The pub is ok ,But very hit and miss depending on the staff ( some great some clock watchers ) The lady behind the bar tonight clearly wanted to finish early and had no problem with telling everyone that. It’s a shame people like this work in hospitality, it’s not what you want to hear while trying to relax and enjoy a pint. Disappointing
