Greggs in Cheshire West and Chester

Best sausage rolls and tea anywhere.

We arrived in Chester near lunch time. Had a breakfast baguette. Very busy with long queues. Have had these baguettes before but this one wasn't as nice as previous ones I've had

Freezing cold. Slowest service in the world

I tried to find a customer service link to put this on but here goes 12/10/2024 Frodsham st Chester. Served by a friendly member of staff - ordered new fish finger sandwich - I waited aside whilst it was cooked. Some minutes later a women came out and called fish burger … I didn’t respond but the young woman who served me said no I ordered a fish sandwich - the women went away then returned with a fish finger wrap and I said, no I ordered the sandwich - the young woman stepped in and showed the till order as fish sandwich. I echoed that she had asked for this. The back of house women told us we were wrong and a few other staff came to watch - women at the side (who turned out to be the mother of the women in the kitchen) pitched in saying her daughter had clearly said sandwich … she hadn’t at all and the older woman wasn’t stood there until after I’d ordered my meal. The women from the kitchen said she’d cooked a “sandwich” and thrown it in the bin when the server said it was wrong. She went into the back and immediately came back with a fishfinger sandwich in a box covered in mayonnaise - clearly picked back out of the bin - I left … the poor server was being bullied by the back of house women, her mother and the onlookers from the kitchen - I simply felt sorry for her. When I wiped off the mayo and opened my ‘sandwich’ it was a mess and already going cold - so my suspicion of it being taken out of the bin confirmed. I like Greggs, we have one in my local town and the standard and friendliness is always good and consistent - but these staff were bullies and the back of house woman was too agressive to admit that the new range which calls the fish fingers in a burger bun “a sandwich” had confused her and the young woman was completely correct. To take it out of the bin though is unacceptable.

Cold potato wedges and missing sauce, had to wait a while for order also

Dreadful service, didn't understand order, didn't ask if I needed a bag, then just put it on top of counter. Used another bakery.

Standard fare that can't be beaten when in need of a well priced snack and drink combo! Wherever you find yourself, theres (at least one) Greggs nearby! ☕️ 🥓

Staff stood behind the till talking about customers who are currently in store. Think your staff need some customer service training

Doughnuts put in with hot food and placed on the side so all mashed, ordered 2 bakewells muffins got 1 and a chocolate one

some idiot working here thinks that 1 slice of burnt bacon on a roll is somehow enough? I'll be ordering from a different greggs if this haooens again.

Food all delivered and lovely but horrible delivery driver who wanted to have an argument, said he had been looking for us for 30 minutes! When he had only just arrived and I missed a phone call due to being on another line. I apologised for being on the phone for the first phone call but explained he has not been waiting around 30 minutes as the phone call says 5 minutes ago, he said it’s not good enough. Very rude experience.

Delivery driver was rude. On phone whole time, stood half metre away handing things to me 1 at a time, had meltdown due to anxiety with being out in open. Then glares at me as if I'm doing something wrong when asked him to bring the stuff closer 3 times, just being ignored. Also didn't tell me what was what, so didn't know what bag my drink was in and put it down not right side up either. Haven't even started eating as been tense since the delivery, so things will be cold/Luke warn too. Was already rushed as a few minutes early, then and then just awful when actually delivering.

Greggs will be closed for two weeks for renovation back open on the 15th of March. Back open now

Brilliant quality food. Delivery driver was very pleasant. Very quick delivery considering had to cycle with it.

I ordered 4 sausage rolls at £1.49 each £5.80 for 4 these should have been hot but instead they sent me 4 cold sausage rolls at £4.35 someone is not paying attention to their job it’s looking like they don’t care about ripping the customer off.

The order is wrong. Missing the sausages on both banquettes and missing sauce! Freezing cold.

As much as I do love a pasty or a pizza slice from here, it's hit and miss if you actually get one. Very limited supply of food every time I have been here, which has been at various times. Staff serve you with moderate efficiency and no happiness for their job at all.

I be honest, most people that work in these places are just lazy man, all you ever do is forgot things of my order, I’m a coffee guy and it’s the one thing I wanted, ordered it in a savoury deal to and they put the saussy roll in but no coffee? I don’t get how you lot function, same for maccies and all that

What a lovely member of staff! I only went in and purchased a Chicken Bake, my paper shopping bag ripped and the young lady offered me a Gregs bag to rescue my other purchases, she is a credit to the company and the type of person businesses should be looking to recruit.

For the second time. Like I said my. Delivery has been and delivered to another house. Leaving me and my. Family. With nothing. Absolute disgrace I spoke to greggs yesterday they said I need to msg you so here I am for the 3rd time reporting it I'm not happy at all I would like my money back asap

Good service, went in at Christmas to get some mince pies and was served quickly and by friendly staff :)

I have not even received my order and the crazy thing is, Greggs cant even get in touch with their rider/driver and I was told that I would need to get in touch with Just Eat. There needs to be a dedicated 24/7 contact number to deal with issues like this.

I normally call into my local Greggs for my bacon roll in the mornings. Very good food and the service is exceptional. I did order a delivery via Just Eat and never received it. I was told that they dont have a contact no for their rider/driver and that I would need to address the matter directly with Just Eat. 😡

Not the best Greg’s I’ve had to be honest and went away feeling quite disappointed. Paid for 2 pastries not realising they weren’t fresh. They were cold so asked to reheat but the member of staff was quite rude and said unable to reheat. She knew wasn’t happy with the quality of the food but never offered fresh ones. Poor customer service.

Food was terrible, ordered two hash browns which I had to bin, they were not cooked properly and were cold, hot chocolate was tepid and bap was unpleasantly cold, complete waste of money, extremely disappointed and upset.

The food was very nice, and the staff at the ordering table were very calm and collected seeing as it was so full.

Sent all kinds of wrong swapped items, it took ages and everything is absolutely freezing I want a refund

When I place the order the delivery time was 10am latest. We received our food about 10.40 and with one item wrong and cold food. The food that was corrected tasted okay but not up to temp.

Tried their spiced pumpkin latte 😋 delicious.

Staff focused on tasks not serving customers even when a long queue only 1 serving.

Ordered at 2:45 it finally arrived at 4:30. It arrived freezing cold.

I chose delivery on the app and then the app tells me to come and collect my food not happy want a refund as I couldn’t collect as I have no form of transport

Order was over 60 minutes late. Only just arrived at 9:56am. The food is now stone cold I am not happy at all. I wish for a member of management to email me regarding this appalling order. I contacted the Gregs restaurant and they advised me that the order was ready within the original time quoted but the driver was not there.

Called here for quick lunch at the weekend. Oh dear, customer service was terrible. Despite advert on the cabinet for a £4.80 deal for hot sandwich, wedges and hot drink, staff continually insisted I couldn't have it. Even called the manager who was equally unhelpful, in the end said I could have it, like she was doing me a favour. Soooo painful, rather embarrassing and very frustrating. Only gets 2 stars because the food itself was nice, albeit the wedges were lukewarm by the time I got to eat them!

Would have preferred the delivery driver to have used the door bell instead of calling me to collect the food from his car.
