Not the best food but service good

Great little traditional cafe been in Chester for many years. Situated Brooke St recommend for a cheap breakfast. Fantastic mug of tea as well

We came in for breakfast a few days ago and it was great, the food came very quickly and it was fresh and tasty. the staff were lovely and it was such good value for money

need to get drivers who know how to use a sat nav

The food and price was great, I'm a smiley happy person I tried to be friendly to the staff but not one smiled or engaged in any manner of reply, the slightly older lady with the glasses was so miserable and abrupt, otherwise it would of been 5 star revue.

Misinformation why is it called a bin lid when the batch is normal size in my day a bin lid was at least 7 inches wide not 4 inches,,,2 sausage 2 bacon black pudding and 1egg a spoonful of tomato juice no hash brown no mushrooms no beans just a normal size batch nowhere near a bin lid don’t be fooled your menu needs to be clearer otherwise the batch was nice

Very nice and clean. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Excellent food and choice and bought to the table. I have visited a few times and couldn't fault it.

A great cafe I had to try moving to the nearby area, had a great breakfast which was cooked perfectly, very tasty and filling. Definitely recommend and will be my to go to place for breakfasts

Never been before but it looked like a family run cafe with very good staff and reasonable prices Nothing too fancy but if you like a burger or even a breakfast it fits the bill

Average breakfast. One sausage, one egg,one hash brown and fried bread with beans. Tined plumb tomato spoilt the breakfast. I don't think I will be visiting again

Good food and value for money. Friendly staff and great service. Clean and comfortable. Great all day breakfast.

My only complaint was that I had ordered a slice of Victoria sponge cake to have later. Although it was on the order, the receipt and the money was taken for it, unfortunately it wasn't in with the order when it was delivered to me.

We had breakfast two days running, both were excellent! Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff - what more could you ask for? It is clearly popular as it was nearly full both days, which is probably the best recommendation a cafe can have!

We had two breakfasts that were lovely, but the hash browns in both meals tasted and looked funny. Almost black. I’ve probably had about 100 hash browns from you so I know the difference. Anyhoo, just thought I’d review it and let you know.

Please stop increasing your prices. It’s getting ridiculous. Otherwise the food was lovely, but the new trays that you have for the breakfasts are not great. They are too thin and make the beans and tomato pots open and all the food fall out. Just not ideal when they cost so much.

Food was okay. Wasn't amazing and some of it tasted a bit watered down but the prices were very cheap. Staff were friendly and quick and the service was very efficient.

I have ordered several meals and sandwiches from here now from. Breakfasts mixed grills and lamb dinner. The food is cooked to perfection and generous portion sizes. The food always comes hot and on time. I can't say a bad word about this place. Highly recommend to all. Am sure everyone will find something they like. Yum yum

Great place for a quick cooked English breakfast before a walk around Chester. Breakfast was good however the tea was stewed a bit so left most it.

Breakfast always top rate here. It's our go to. Let down today by driver availability. About to cancel when miraculously assigned. Driver didn't even mention wait. Grunted. Walked away. Not too upset tho as food still great.

Early starter breakfast, is a filling start to the day. This is a cooked full breakfast, including either a juice or hot drink. I visited on two days, each having a different drink. This I followed up with toast and marmalade, and the slices were thick unlike I have had elsewhere. Great customer service. A few blocks away from Chester rail station, and on my way to my work. This is well worth seeking out and paying a visit.

Delivery time is amazing, shame there was a dead wasp stuck to the bottom of my sausage & bacon bap! Disgusting avoid

Stumbled across this busy little eatery whilst looking for a late breakfast. No smile or even eye contact from any staff on arrival. Easily found a table and went to order from the abrupt female server at the counter. She was busy leaning over the counter playing on her phone. As she approached the counter I politely said‘it’s okay we’re still deciding what to have for a minute’ at which she looked put out like she’d put her phone down for nothing. Food was served quickly and was average. This was served by hostile staff members barking your ticket number out. The cup of tea was actually revolting probably due to the server simultaneously pouring milk and some sort of tea concoction in in similar measures. Only staff acknowledgement we received was as we left and called out Thankyou to the man on the till at which point he thanked us too. Needs some customer service.

Hot food what good. But the chocolate muffin was not as fresh as usual, and it was stale and hard to eat, so I had to put it in the bin.

Very disappointed! Order 2 breakfast baps and only bring 1 and it's burnt and cold. Ordered here before but no more. If I'm ordering a breakfast and 50% of the order is missing.. whats the point! Its not like I have 20 items on my order! Wow!

disgusting meal we wanted jacket potatoes with baked beans not cheese as my partner cant eat cheese both meals were swimming with cheese we threw them away

Ordered a bacon and cheese sandwich. It was cold and it had no cheese. Must have been an off morning because normally they are spot on and tasty

We have been to the cafe 2x & always enjoyed the lasagne so decided to return and try something else. Service was friendly as always. The place was very clean & staff was spraying & cleaning each table when we were deciding where to sit. We ordered a lasagne but also a mixed grill. We were really looking forward to the food due to the positive experience in the past. Sadly when the mixed grill arrived, it looked pretty sad & underwhelming. It was more than £12 & the lasagne was £8 but the mixed grill looked less generous. There were 2 burger patties, one piece of gammon, a sausage, one slice of black pudding, an egg & chips. It was served with gravy on the side. The gammon was really hard & dry - almost inedible & would have been, without the gravy. The sausage was of the cheapest variety. Burger patties were alright but they were really thin, so there was hardly any meat on them. Black pudding was OK & chips were good. The egg was like a splat on the plate. Gravy was of the instant variety. Lasagne & chips were very good, as always, so no complaints there. Extremely disappointed with the so-called mixed grill after our previous positive experiences 🙄 We will stick with the lasagne if we visit in future!!

Had a big breakfast and it was AMAZING.

Got there at 7.30 am, I had hoped to get the tea before the small cooked breakfast, I reminded after 5 mins seeing the tea being brewed and the tea was strong, perfect how I like it. At least they put the boiling water onto the teabag then milk in last ( not like the other Sunday morning when they put the milk in with the teabag). The cooked breakie was great, esp the black pudding ( gotta be thin ✓)

We stumbled across this cafe on a recent trip to Chester. Husband and I had English breakfasts and coffee, daughter had cheese on toast and hot chocolate. I am a bit of a coffee snob and the coffee here was honestly the best I have had in a long time! The breakfasts were amazing too, and good value for money. Will definitely visit again.

Cracking breakfast. Kids omelette came with added goodies. Much appreciated. Best breakie on just eat.

Went for brekkie, classic English Cafe fry up in a good way. Black pudding, plum tomato, classic fried egg and sausages, bacon, hash brown, plus well priced. Plus it was open on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. Loved it so much I open up a TripAdvisor account.

The food was amazing as usual. You don’t do a free apple juice with the mega breakfast anymore which I don’t think is okay. With your prices continuously rising I don’t think it’s okay for you to be lowering the amount that you get.

Walked in a sunny day greeted by a misrable blonde girl snotty looks from then I new I should have walked back out. Ordered my food and milkshake, milkshake was dumped on the table with no smile in sight. 3/4 full no cream I was wondering were the rest of my milkshake was? Food had arrived to also be dumped on the table, I grabbed some cutlery to find dried food marks on there almost as if they’re not being washed correctly. I did mention this to the staff but it was shrugged off and a quick sorry. Replaced with another set I carried on, it wasn’t late in the day when the girl had used chairs to block the back area off then seen brushing and mopping around me, the smell of bleach in the bucket was over powering I did ask if she could wait till I had finished as it was strong. The blonde girl said no I’m going home soon I need to do it now. I’ve been back since this day and i got the same feeling as then, very unwelcoming the just eat machine’s constantly making noise staff on there phones swearing not catering about the customers around them. This blonde lady again. I’ve red other comments about the staff but I must say, the blonde lady is Damn right rude.

They got our order a bit wrong, but it’s not the end of the world. Will do my waistline good to not have those sausages. Food was amazing!
