How is this place still open? Major damp/mould problems means it STINKS and must be a genuine health hazard. Incredibly miserable manager (landlord?) who rolled his eyes when he saw us waiting at the bar. A real shame, it used to be a great spot for sport. I won’t be going back. Farnham is full of pubs that are far better and healthier than this one.

An interesting place that may well have been better visted on another day. The service was pleasant enough and there were only two regulars in there apart from us. A very large area in front of the bar gives plenty of space and there is a very pleasant beer garden out the back. There just seemed to be something missing- not sure what - and I suppose this is what happens when you pop in for a one-off visit, you don't get the whole story. The Guinness was lovely as was the Spitfire.

I only stopped in for 1 drink and had the pleasure of meeting David (the landlord) I really don’t understand how you can talk to people that you don’t know in such a disrespectful and aggressive manner, especially when they are being polite and maintaining that politeness through your inappropriate outbursts. I hope you manage to overcome the troubles that you have in your life that are so apparent that you feel the need to project them on to other people.

We had our work "Private Christmas Party" at the Lamb in December. We ordered in an Indian Takeaway, plus booked Glen for his Karaoke and Disco. It was a fabulous evening and we all (35of us) had a great time! It was the 3rd year in a row that we chose the Lamb because it is a lovely size for a party, the Landlord is always very nice and couldn't do more to make it a great night for us. Glen also does a great job on the Karaoke and gets lots of people up to sing. I highly recommend The Lamb for a party!

Went in there for 1 pint with a group of friends for new years eve and we were met by the most miserable, depressed and unenthusiastic man I've ever met behind the bar. It was most expensive pint of Fosters I've ever seen, I expect it was so expensive because people don't stay for a second pint. We left quickly as the bar man made it clear he didn't want us there.

This is by far and large the worst pub in farnham. Awful atmosphere and service. If you are going out in Farnham avoid this pub at all costs and use any of the other pubs in the area that will provide you with a much much much better experience. Furthermore, the land lord is extremely rude. Further edit (19th Dec 2023) Interesting to see most of the one star reviews are from minorities, interestingly the bad experience I had involved many minorities in our party...

We were recommended this pub by some locals for their friendly atmosphere but it was clear that this was not the case. As soon as we walked in, the barman said that he would not be dealing with us and refused to let us in and order a round of drinks, without any explanation of why we would be served. Rather poor for a place that was not busy.

Was in town over the bank holiday weekend and had been next door at William Cobbett for a round and were reccommended to stop by The Lamb. Got there, quiet atmosphere, the barman immediately got very hostile when he saw our group walk in. Refused us service with the reason being ‘Theres only me behind the bar and im not going to deal with this’. Clearly didnt want the business and by the showing of people in there they clearly need it.

Many precautions in place to protect customers against covid. Tables kept very clean and social distancing being obviously adhered to. Comforting to customers that want to ensure they can keep safe. A good bet if you want to visit somewhere without fearing that you are putting yourself at risk. Sadly food currently not being served due to the pandemic, but they have a good selection of bar snacks!

Came upon this lovely pub by chance as it is tucked away in a street outside the main town centre. The Lamb is well worth a visit as it is a most friendly pub with a very pleasant landlord (Dave). Appears to be mainly a locals pub with, perhaps, passing trade accessed by a walk through from the main A31. A good selection of ales, spirits, wines together with coffee; I had an excellent cappuccino on my last visit. This pub also serves a selection of savoury snacks and chocolate. There is 'live' sport available on the many tv screens throughout the pub. My partner and I visit The Lamb most evenings and have never been disappointed with the service. With the present Covid pandemic this pub needs your valued support as it would be a shame if this establishment closed.

I regularly visit this pub, as I think it’s a nice place to visit. It has recently been decorated both inside and outside, so is now much easier on the eye. It has a back garden, as well as seating in front, (the latter is great for catching the afternoon sun!) They have some traditional pub games such as darts and pool, so it is good if you are coming in with friends, but if like me, you come in on your own, you’ll find the bar staff friendly and easy to chat to. They have a number of televisions for sport too and a selection of real ales.

We enjoyed an expensish bottle of very ordinary plonk there, and I think that our ageing black lame Labrador Bella was not that happy. Anyway, she stuck to our guns and spent a full two hours there. Apparently, she told me, the mens' lavatories were quite good. Anyway, it is a sports bar, so I am not totally convinced that we should have been in there to start with....but, if we had not been there (a Saturday at 3.00pm) there would have been no one there at all.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon with the brother-in-law and his dog which was welcomed with a treat from the manager. The pub is tucked down a side road (Abbey St) leading to/from the station (if heading from town turn left at the William Cobbett pub on the bend). The interior is small compared to the Cobbett and it can get noisy from all the large tv screens dotted around if the football's on. Being Shepherd Neame tied the ale offering when we were there consisted of Spitfire/Whitstable Bay/plus another. I'm not a particular fan of their brews but it was fine for a couple before moving on.

Went to the Lamb about 8pm last Friday to see the live band who were due to play at 9pm. Opened the front door but there was a curtain pulled across which we negotiated and got into the pub. Everyone stopped talking and the pub went silent - we felt incredibly uncomfortable. As we approached the bar the landlord said, and I quote 'are you struggling to read?' we said pardon! He repeated the question - then said ' can't you read the sign on the door telling you to use the back door?. We explained there was a piece of paper on the door but nothing was written on it - either the rain had washed the writing away or it was the wrong way round. He rushed off and sorted it out then came back - did not apologies until I said something to him. All of this was said in a silent pub so everyone heard - he was rude and very much out of order. They did not want people coming in and walking in front of the band (this was 8pm and they weren't even playing until 9pm) We will not be returning to the Lamb - the landlord needs some serious customer service training.

About a dozen of us went to the Lamb on Sunday 21 December after a 7 mile walk. We had pre-ordered our food, which was very good (sandwiches very good value - I had a nice lasagne). Good hospitality and the ale went down nicely. This used to be a great local pub in Farnham, with live bands most Friday evenings, which the current management seem to be reviving. Well worth checking out over the festive period.

Arrived and the pub was empty, apart from the bar girl, despite this no service we had to go to the bar, we had booked a table of 8 yet there was only 3 lamb and 2 pork roasts available, when the food finally came out after an hour they brought 3 meals before the rest of us got anything 10 minutes later, the lamb was tough and overcooked, there was no music so the atmosphere was totally flat. I wouldn't recommend this at all, that said the girl at the bar was very polite of a tad useless it wasn't her fault

DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM ! The staff don't know how to do their job- It takes 1 h and 40 min to " deliver " because you will get nothing- just waste of money non refundable. Driver could not find the adress and the manager " couldn’t find " my phone number as a proof of me calling for an update twice. I've been told I will get a refund în 3-5 working days which I didn’t. They are liers, scammers and that shop should be closed - the bad reviews of hundreds of other people speaks volume.
