Banging food cooked by a wonderful lady who cooks it all from fresh i myself opp for the extra hot phall and it dont let me down 100% tekkers

Much improved now, tbh it's a unique place. The offering is quite bland still and the chip shop next door doesn't do it any favours with its patrons sitting outside smoking and shouting, not exactly convivial for a relaxing meal when dining in.

We have been having a takeaway from Kings Ferry for some time and hands down it is the best curry house on the Island! We have never had any off dishes always excellent!

A lovely friendly family run Indian Restaurant, really lovely food, within walking distance of bus stops and train station always a friendly welcome, very reliable take away service that delivers and food is great.

Arrived efficiently, fresh and very hot. Very pleasant delivery driver. Food was full of flavour and better than expected. Chicken tikka masala & lamb balti both very nice and will be eating from here again.

The restaurant was freezing cold when we arrived and the waiter's were wearing coats. The radiator eventually began to warm up so the heating must have been clicked on when we arrived. One of the waiters had a very bad attitude and my take on it that he didn't want anyone in the restaurant and just wanted to do takeaways. The food was very bland on this occasion. We had returned as our previous experience had been very good but if we are in town again have no intention of returning here again.

Went here with my partner for a meal as we enjoyed one from here recently but on this occasion the waiter obviously had a cold because all we could hear throughout the entire meal was him trying to clear his nose which made us both feel ill up until the point of me turning around and saying ' do you mind ' then began cleaning his teeth with a tooth pick with no sign of washing his hands . It was a shame as the food has been good but this has put us right off and will not be returning which is a shame

As we were staying at the Royal Hotel along the road we decided to go to this restaurant on Saturday night about 7.30. On entering the Restaurant we greeted immediately by a welcoming member of staff. A choice of tables was offered as one of our party is disabled and uses arm crutches. Drinks were ordered and quickly brought to the table and the waiter also poured the bottled drinks. When the main course was ordered the waiter was knowledgeable regarding the queries raised and gave advice. The food was served in good time and was excellent. Will return when back in the area

We've not had a takeaway from Kingsferry Tandoori for a very long time but having received their menu posted through the door we decided to give it a try. Never again. The meal was absolutely disgusting. King prawn Tandoori was totally inedible. The prawns - if they actually were prawns - were tasteless, the Aloo Gobi was also tasteless, the poppadoms were stale, and the tandoori chicken was dry and tough and seemed to have been cooked yesterday and reheated today The only good thing was the salad !! Total waste of money. My only recommendation is don't bother !

Having moved to the island I tested out all the Indian restaurants and Kings Ferry by far came out on top for a takeaway. - Best for flavour. - Best for delivery (£10 min spend for free delivery, lowest on the island) and speedy delivery service. Haven't let me down yet! - Competitive for prices on food. - Polite, friendly and happy for your custom. - Deliver to Minster from Sheerness. This is undoubtedly my regular takeaway. Always great service and great food. They have my loyalty. Highly recommend.

Visited here last night for the very first time. The restaurant itself could do with a bit of updating as it looks tired. The food was the complete opposite, I thought it was very flavoursome and I also found that the position sizes were quite large. I will visit again but next time I won't be ordering so much as I left far too much. Eyes bigger than my belly.

Sadly I can only assume there has been a change of management since I last used this place. Previously was great, tonight however, home delivery had missing items and customer service was appalling with the delivery being pretty much threatening (wonder if he would have behaved the same if I were male?). Chicken also seriously undercooked and still very pink!!! I won't be using this place again n and would suggest avoiding until these guys have got their act together (oh, and if you do use them, you need to state that you are buying popadums as a starter and they you require salad and multiple pots of all of the sauces..... (previously I've never had an issue asking for popadums with salad and sauces - but apparently that isn't sufficient for them because I didn't state that it was a starter.......)

Completely forgiven up on a decent Indian takeaway in and around sheppey but thought id give this place a try as a last hope, as based on the good review's, oh wrap up im glad i did. The basic Madras in so many other Indian restaurants has been falling very short of the mark. Most of them just turning in to a watery unsavoury mess, but thankfully that was not the case here. The quality of the ingredients is plain to see and the taste is perfection​ in every dish i ordered. Thank you kingsferry Tandori for a very satisfying meal i only wish i would of found this restaurant earlier. Make an order with these guys, trust me you will not regret it

went there 9 months ago, service was great and friendly, however lamb was tough as old boots. went there last week after checking on website when it was open and lo and behold it was shut when stated it was open!! boo

Fantastic food and great service. We've been ordering from this family run restaurant for years now and always received excellent quality of food and service. My family would highly recommend anyone looking for a local take away to try this establishment as we feel that you'll be very happy and satisfied in every way possible.

After using this restaurant for a while for take aways I will never be using it again. I took 15 people along for a meal which they agreed they could cope with. It took over 1 hr for half of our party to be brought their drinks and 2 hrs for their food. Half of us had finished eating and some hadn't even started. All night we only had one drink and they were rushing around like headless chickens. We asked for complimentary poppadoms at one point to feed us while we waited as food had been so long initially this was disputed. They were dealing with takeaways before bringing us out ordered drinks. The food I cannot complain about it was very very good but I don't think the restaurant is experienced in dealing with large parties which they should have made me aware of as it was a hen party ruined by everyone having to complain and ask where food and drink was, met at times with the wrong attitude from staff. Maybe knowing their was a big party coming in they should have hired some extra staff as 2 person serving 15 of us food and drink was not acceptable when we paid so much to eat there.

My fiancée and I had a meal in The Kings Ferry Tandoori last night, having had the place recommended to us - and the smell emanating from the place was always trying to lure us in whenever we passed.We were given a friendly welcome by the staff and they were only too pleased to explain what certain dishes were (some of them items don't usually appear on the menus of some of the more "English-orientated" establishments.The food was simply fabulous and my Other Half is VERY picky when it comes to chicken korma - she absolutely loved it the experience was such an overwhelmingly positive one that she is seriously tempted to be a little more adventurous next time.It's a great little place, tucked out of the way, but the friendliness, coupled with the quality of the food make this a hidden gem well worth seeking out!

My favourite curry house! Whenever we travel from London, we always make sure we visit the Kingsferry Tandoori. Food is always delicious and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. Absolutely love this place!

On a vraiment l'impression d'avoir affaire à un robot en cuisine :* on choisit la base : 3 viandes, 2 crevettes...* on choisir la sauce et la méthode de cuisson,* on ajoute un riz, un nan...Et au final, c'est toujours un peu la même chose.La viande est un peu dure, les crevettes minuscules sauf à prendre les King prawns.Mais les sauces sont plutôt bien faites :* la safrani est très goûteuse,* la vindaloo est très forte mais mangeable (Yes !!!),...On peut avoir un bon repas pour pas trop cher.Que demander de plus ?

We have eaten in the restaurant several times and have had take always delivered too. Food is always spot on. The staff are friendly and polite. And little touches like a Christmas card delivers to say thanks for our custom make u feel appreciated. Would recommend this place without a doubt. The restaurant is very small so you may need to book.

Its only a small establishment, but as you would expect the staff are very friendly and also helpful. We visit a few times a year and never have bad meals. Reasonably good value as well

This has to be the worst take away ever had. I also believe it was full of mono sodium glutamate. Hardly any chicken in the dish. No flavour. Waste of money. Terrible. I want my money bavk

We have been ordering from the Kingsferry for many years and have never had a bad meal. It has spoils us for ordering anywhere else.

Really enjoyed our visit here tonight. Food was absolutely lovely. We did have to wait a while but they were really apologetic.They didn't have any Indian desserts but when I asked they sent someone to get one for me. Great value for money as well. Decor a bit cafe like but clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend. Really, really lovely people.

Friendly staff, food tasted the same. No flavour to food, shashlik and tandoori chicken was the same, no flavour in Bombay potato no spices as was the tarka dal and the mushroom bhaji, it was like a café and freezing cold, starters did not have flavour either, pappadoms were ok,

Still a good Indian love the inside and the decor, situated in a good place, service is good and still gets busy. They don't sell non acholic beer which is strange in this day and age, but the wine is good food is still as tasty as it was when they first opened but the portions are smaller, but that's not a bad thing as they were large before so they have just about got it right now. Still a nice place to go.

Popped in last week before going home to watch rugby.didnt start off well as diet coke was bit flat and pappadoms not very crispy.tandoori chicken starter was very tasty had nice chicken tikka main meal good pilau rice and bombay potato,very nice and very friendly service all for £16,well recommended

Best Indian on the island. Hands down. Went in as a family of four and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The Korma and Exotica in particular we so rich and full of flavour and the portions were so generous we couldn't finish all of it! The whole family enjoyed themselves and the food, and will definitely be returning for more, very soon!

A great little restaurant that serves great tasting food, we have eaten in and had regular take aways and the food has always been brilliant, never had a bad meal, staff are very friendly and helpful, always willing to explain about dishes, my hubby loves a bit of nag chilli and they are more then happy to cook one with it. Altogether a great eating experience small friendly place to relax and enjoy a good meal, one of the best on the island.

Food dissappointing and bland, no taste and not authentic. Gave me very bad stomach pains afterwards.The waiter had BO which I smelt every time he came near .. Not a nice thing to smell in an eating establishment of all places! Staff should be clean and fresh to work.Felt like being constantly watched and glared at by staff throughout my time in the restaurant.Very uncomfortable experience and food a total disappointment. Only popped in here because the reviews on here said it was good, I can only assume those people do not know a good authentic real curry. I wont be returning to this restaurant.

Very hungry after busy working in the garden one Saturday night in April so thought we would get a takeaway locally. I have to say it had to be the worse takeaway we'd ever had. I did eat a little of mine but my husband had one mouthful and threw it straight in the bin. Besides the vegetable curry being tasteless (!) it had a strange taste. We won't be using this place again.

We ordered a curry, I had prawn curry my husband had buttered chicken curry, we ordered to take away, and it was delicious. the staff are lovely neither one of us was disappointed with our meal, we would certainly use this restaurant for a sit down meal, nan breads were hot and fresh, poppadoms crispy and a lovely onion salad on the side, their bajees are brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed

Doesn't look much from the outside, and decor inside is fairly simple, but it's in the kitchen that the magic happens. Really, really enjoyable meal, food was delicious, well presented and piping hot when it arrived at the table. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. And to top it off the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again, and using them for takeaway too.

I decided to pay this restaurant a visit after reading all the good reviews on TripAdvisor. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable. All the staff were so welcoming and really made me feel at home. The food was very delicious, probably the best Indian food i have tasted. I will be returning very soon.

Always used another restaurant for 20 years, I tried these as was told it was excellent. They were not wrong !!!! The food quality was incredible and tasted divine!!! A little off the main high street, but only a minute walk. absolutely great tasting food, the flavours are very individual and really good. Attic (member of staff) always most helpful, walk past the kitchen any time and its clean. have tried most on the island, but Kings ferry is by far the best.Have followed Attic from a previous Indian on the Island, which at the time of his working there was as above really a good place, but tried it since he left and would not go back again ,

i have visited this resturant many times and always have brilliant service and great food..The food is served hot and fast .

The staff were very welcoming and friendly.The restaurant was bright and colourful - the art on the wall was interesting. It was very busy when we went there, but the it was well worth the wait! Our food was very tasty and no doubt I will be returning in the near future :D

amazing experience! i took my daughter here for a treat last weekend and as soon as i walked in i knew thisplace was going to be a real treat! its such a hidden restaurant but one of the best! the staff was very welcoming and talkative! no hanging around, staff was always trying to be welcoming to all customers! amazing food and will come back again soon!.

Had to ask for our order to be taken and for drinks after being seated for 15 minutes. Food finely arrived in 'bits and pieces' eventually all on the hot plates. Both curry's looked very 'globular' and grey in colour, no sign of any gee which if usually visual in a good curry. Both curry's were tasteless. Will not be going again.

Visited this restaurant after looking on trip advisor. In a seaside town that seems to be on the decline with little commerce or prospect I was very surprised by this little family run restaurant/takeaway. The food and service was absolutely fantastic (although I couldn't manage it all... Too full) the menu offers a wide range of meals all of which can be seen prepared in front if you in a small kitchen to the rear of the restaurant. Please don't be put off by the exterior this is a hidden gem would recommend to anyone!!!

I was out for a day in the town with my lady friend and what can I say, we were rather famished and a touch parched. So we popped into this restaurant and we were greeted with the best service I have ever had, it was very authentic and jolly good. I had a cobra beer that was poured to perfection and chilled to excellency, my lady friend had the house white and said it was utterly awesome. The decoration was traditional and absolutely beautiful in divine proportions. As for the food I was blown away by the amazing taste sensation that was the Chicken Jalfrezi, the wife had the Chicken Korma and said it was marvellous. We shall definitely be back to this fine and exquisite restaurant, it really is the bees knees.

I was there with my wife for may bank holiday and we visited sheerness beach and had a dinner at Kings Ferry Tandoori. They prepared food specially as per our request and test. Good customer service, small but great place to visit in sheerness.

They delivered into our caravan site at Ashcroft Coast so thought we would try them. The food was really lovely, meat was really good quality and portions a nice size. Also delivery was right in time and food was very reasonably priced. Would def make sure to use these guys again when back over this way.

We tried this restaurant having had a number of disappointing curries from other Indian restaurants in Sheerness [including those starred highly by TripAdvisor]. From the start we found the staff to be enthusiastic and helpful and the food was excellent. I am pleased to say that consistently high standard did not diminish; the meal was keenly priced and the portions generous with a range of styles seeking to tempt me from the predictable Chicken Tikka Massala!!! Overall a really good meal and well worth a visit.

I am a fussy eater who does not like spice but tried here upon reccomendation and loved it, regularly come here for both meals and takeaway. Great staff who are friendly and more than helpful. I would definitely reccomend coming here, may not always be packed on a Saturday night but the food is fantastic!!

We have visited the kingsferry restaurant on numerous occasions and used the takeaway delivery service for a couple of years.The food and service is always excellent.we generally have a delivered take away weekly from the kingsferry and are always more than happy.The delivery person is always friendly and the food exceptionally good.I would definately recommend both for restaurant and take away.Mandy from minster.

Went here for a meal a few weeks ago and the food was brilliant, good selection of drinks too. Have also used the take away/delivery on many occasions, consistently good.

Having been out and about the whole day we decided to go to The Kings Ferry Tandoori for an evening meal, and what a mistake that turned out to be. For a Saturday the restaurant was not busy at all. The food was nothing special at all and far from authentic. The Bangla Beer we had ordered had an expiry date of March 2013 (our visit was 31 Aug 2013) which was almost 6 months out of date. When brought to the attention of the waiter he was more concerned about defending the restaurant rather then apologising or trying to put the situation right. He did however inform us he had loads of Bangla Beers in the back - no doubt these are all out of date too!For the rest of the night we kept receiving dirty evil looks from the waiter as to try and make us feel uncomfortable at the restaurant. This was such a bad experience that we would not even recommend anyone else to visit them. It makes me wonder what other drinks and foods they have that is out of date which they happily serve to their customers.Please be aware if you ever consider visiting this restaurant!

Friendly staff and great tasting food!

Following an afternoon out at the sea we looked on trip advisor funnily enough for a place to have a meal before returning home. Our experience of The Kings Ferry Tandoori can only be described as excellent. We were given such a warm welcome as we entered, greeted by the family members who run this superb restaurant. The food was exceptional, quite possibly the best I have tasted, and what a pleasure to be introduced to the chef, father of the family. He even took the trouble to cook some dishes in olive oil so my 15 month old daughter could taste them (and she loved them!). The service was courteous and unobtrusive, and I would not hesitate to return, or recommend this restaurant.

Was starving hungry between finishing work and heading out to a pool match so called to ask if we could order an eat-in rather than a take-away. Although the restaurant seemed initially puzzled by my request they were very obliging. When my girlfriend and I arrived we were very pleased at the welcome, service and food. Angie polished off her food well before me despite her initial reluctance for Indian food. The decor is a little ordinary which stops it getting a 5 but otherwise very good indeed, food as good as the Kooh I Noor!!

We too were visiting Sheppey. Really tasty food, great price and friendly staff who clearly have a lot of loyal local customers.
