Abysmal , service was slow , not many customers in The Chicken Tikka Massala was abysmal , I eaten curry for thirty odd years , this was by far the worst I have ever eaten it resembled diced carrots , the chicken was dry and over cooked the sauce was pathetic , it had all the taste and consistancy of a sugary gravy , it wasn't fresh in taste or appearance , save your money there are better curry places in the high street .

Food was great. Unfortunately I misinterpreted what Mix Naan was. I was expecting a selection of Naan and we got one with a spicy filling. Perhaps a brief description would be good. Other than that the food was as good as ever.

As a stranger coming in as well as being a lone male figure this restaurant has made decent effort to treat me respectfully and with dignity. This has led me to return and review again as last review I left was over five years ago. This is is nice restaurant staff are good and delivery drivers here really friendly too. The lady I met here a few weeks is a very nice person and delivery driver and has helped the gentleman here with menus changes for non alcoholic drinks and decorations in the restaurant that's made this significantly more modern and inline with more choices for customers. I haven't been treated so well in other restaurants in this area again maybe due to being a stranger on his own and of age. I highly recommend visiting Bengal Spice and will definitely return as for me a respectful peaceful and comfortable Tandoori where your not rushed or pressured makes my anxiety and health issues much easier to bare and somewhere I can enjoy a meal let it go down and still feel welcomed. Great quality food and customer service here. Noticed on my visits same patrons visiting which says alot for consistency and their customer service experience. Names of both staff and guests and previous orders for the regulars all remembered here so again says a great deal. Great place to visit and thanks again to the gentlemen who allowed me to move table when air conditioning was a little cold on my last visit.

Waited over two hours for my meal to arrive, Just Eat was no help in cancelling my order either forcing me to wait another hour “incase the food shows up” just so that I can get a refund. MEDIOCRE FROM ALL SIDES

Food turned up over an hour late. It had sat on a hot plate for 45 minutes waiting for the delivery driver to deliver it . Man on the phone was incredibly rude and refused to listen to us asking where it was or questioning how long it had sat around. Just an awful experience. Food was fine but average.

Where is my food??? Ordered at 22.10......now 00.20 and not arrived - can't get hold of anyone!!

Another absolutely delicious meal from Bengal spice, I've never had a bad meal in the 10 years I've been ordering from them, always you notch and the best around by far.

Had a meal here for the first time last night as part of a group of 10. We were seated downstairs, which suited us perfectly as we were the only customers in this section. The food, service and prices were excellent, making for a great evening. You have to take your own alcohol and I believe corkage was only £2pp. Soft drinks are available for those who don't want alcohol. This resulted in a big saving and worked really well. We'll definitely be visiting again in the future.

Ordered chicken pakora. Never come in bag. Called up was told would be delivered never turned up. Ordered chicken tikka rice was sent wrong rice.

Husband myself been here several times. Sat in this homely and friendly restaurant. Never disappointed. The food and service fantastic. Had take a ways as well. Top quality food. Been to many curry restaurants but this is the best. Very happy.

Very good flavours in the dishes, food was piping hot on arrival. Use of plastic containers is a shame but wouldn’t deter a future order. Portion sizes a little on the small size but again not enough to stop me coming back. Would have been a nice finishing touch to throw in a popadum ;)

Order from here all the time, usually the food is perfect. The last couple of times I've ordered it has been absolutely disgusting. All the curry's we ordered tasted like sugary milk and were completely flavourless. Called the restaurant and they didn't care at all, just gave us a poor verbal apology. It's a shame but I won't be ordering from here again.

Delivery was 19:05-19:25, requested an update and told I would get a text within 5 minutes. No message and food delivered at 19:35

Estimated delivery time was 20:00 arrived 20:55. I understand that it’s busy today, the time given for delivery should reflect the time delivered not just a generic 45 minutes from order not sure if the restaurant is responsible for this or Just Eat.

Always lovely food at a very reasonable price. Always very polite staff even when they are very busy. They don't sell alcohol, soft drinks only but you can take your own alcoholic drinks.

Our food arrived 2 and a half hours after we ordered it. I had to chase the restaurant 3 times because no one had called me to let me know it was running late. On the first phone call, they were very polite and helpful. The second phone call less so and the third was just outright rude. I will not be ordering from here again and would advise others not to either

Can’t recommend enough! The only decent curry we have had in Sittingbourne. Lamb is beautifully cooked and just falls apart. Curries have so much flavour and are delivered piping hot. Not swimming in oil, as alot of other curry houses often are. The onion bhajis are amazing! Proper sliced onion deep fried, so they’re crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The Bombay potato is the best we have had. Potatoes perfectly cooked and taste lovely. Food was delivered slightly earlier than I requested but it wasn’t a problem. Never had a bad meal here.

Set meal for 2 is always our favourite and we choose the lamb bhuna which is just incredible.

We've literally tried every Indian restaurant in Sittingbourne and this is ny far the best. We always go for the set meal for 2 and its just incredible.

Staff were very attentive though not intrusive. Meal was excellent highly recommend and happy to return. Mid week meal. Please note the restaurant does not serve alcohol though you can bring your own. The starters were mushrooms and an lamb Nan. Very nice. The main meals were chilli chicken masala and jalfrezi lamb curry. We shared a plain Nan bread and shared a mushroom rice. The jalfrezy was spicy the lamb was tender. The masala was lovely. A little mild compared to the jalfrezy. The Nan bread was huge. No dessert ordered as we were too full. Very happy to return to this restaurant. Service, food ambiance excellent.

Lovely Indian food with a good selection, no alcohol served but you can bring your own, friendly and helpful staff, nice clean restaurant but like a lot of the places the toilets are not great

Booked a table for 6 at 7pm. Table wasn’t ready and as there’s no bar we just stood around in the entrance for 10mins. It’s bring your own alcohol so I would expect service to be more efficient however it’s not. We had to ask to order soft drinks as they’re not interested in serving. Didn’t get our starters for an hour, even then we had to ask to order food. Mains arrived half hour later. Food was ok tbh, but nothing better than the average takeaway. Once they served the soft drinks. They never came back to the table to see if anyone wanted more. Decor is old and tired. Lastly, when using the men’s toilet, the handwash was a mixture of soap and urine. Someone clearly wasn’t happy.

Terrible customer service! I embarrassingly praised this place for how good the food was yet waiting for delivery almost 2 hours with no update - no response on their website or phoning them directly! Will never order again

I went to the Bengal Spice last night with a friend as I haven't seen for a while on a Wed & Sunday they have a banquet special Starter, Main dish Side dish Rice or Nan £13.95 this is great Value the food was very nice & the service good too. You can take your own drink , beer wine etc as they don't have a licence. I can highly recommend the Bengal Spice restaurant & will be using it again !

Out of all the curry places in Sittingbourne, we always come back to this one. In all the years I’ve lived in Sittingbourne I’ve never had a bad meal here. We’ve eaten in and had takeaway and the service is always impeccable. Even when they’re really busy they are always attentive. If you eat in you can bring your own alcoholic drinks which is a bonus if you’re coming in a group. Though I always tend to just have lemonade! And they also have banquet nights on certain days where you get a main, starter and side for a set price. We used to always come with a friend for banquet night but since lockdown my partners work hours have changed so we tend to miss the banquet nights a lot:( but we make up for it and order takeaway at the weekend instead. The food is always hot and really flavoursome, you always get a good curry to rice ratio and it always feels good value for money. The quality is just as good whether it’s takeaway or eat in and we’ve eaten here for around 8+ years on and off now I think. Would highly recommend. They might be a bit busy at weekends and delivery may take longer *but * we always order aware of this and it’s always worth the wait :) so if you see any reviews mentioning this don’t let it out you off :)

Late delivery but wonderfully tasty and hot. Only issue was the bizarre orange coloured mint sauce which tasted weird.

Great food, even better delivery driver. Highly recommend.
