Simply awesome...empty plate, say no more...you can even go back for more of everything. What a gem.

Our first time of coming here and it was really good. We really enjoyed the food and the meats were all beautifully cooked, we even went up for seconds!

We tried to come for lunch today. Unfortunately despite having a booking for a party of 11 (increased by phone this morning to 13 and told this would be no problem), we arrived to find that we had no table. 3 of our party had arrived by taxi, so not only wasted their money on the fare, but then had to call another taxi to get home. My 96 year old grandfather was with us and was forced to stand outside for 15 minutes while we waited for our non-existent table to be ready. It was utter chaos and we won't be returning, nor would I ever recommend anyone else does.

They agreed to a party of over 70 people, but didn't have enough staff to serve. So whilst some tables were finishing their dinners, where was tables still waiting to go up for their dinners. Then when desserts was be served, it seemed the staff could only bring one out at a time. Even though booked months earlier. Then we found out the manager was on holiday.

Had ordered 2 roast dinners etc on just eat to get a delivery. For the 2nd time now my order was cancelled. No explanation apart from a lame answer on just eat on why it may have been cancelled, not happy.

Just love how you can have as much meat as you like unlike most carvery’s you go to. Food hot and fresh. Loved it. Thank you.

Went to Bingo night Wednesday at 6.30pm. Good prizes. Good atmosphere. 5 in my group, everyone of us won.

Beautiful choice of roast dinners and how much you want. Lovely dessert after. Above and being friendly and helpful.

Excellent first visit, food was excellent with plenty of choice of 4 meats at the carvery plus an excellent variety of veg, potatoes, sauces etc. Multiple visits to the carvery were allowed, but I had saved the journey by loading up the plate in advance!! Drinks were excellent too. A very good choice of deserts and coffee were also available.

Great place to eat, The Sunday carvery is much the same as from a Toby but 10 times nicer and if your really hungry you can have seconds at no extra charge including the meats. Parking is sometimes a bit of a problem as not that many disabled spaces.

To be honest they charge way to much for desserts. I chose the 4 layered chocolate fudge cake. It clearly states this on their menu. But it really isn't its 3 layers so when they're charging nearly £8 for a cake make it worth it. Can but full sized chocolate fudge cake from bookers for £7

Had a lovely meal sunday for my daughters 30th birthday,food was lovely,staff are friendly. Looking forward to the same daughter having her wedding there in September ♥️

Amazing Sunday lunch as usual, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the gammon was fantastic! Shout out to Terry and the rest of the staff for their fantastic efforts.

The food was nice and you get your moneys worth from the carvery and service was gd too and atmosphere was good too. Staff was good as well and very helpful

As carvery goes you can't fault it. You can go up as many times as you like and have everything, including meat again which is good value for money. Kids menu was good had quite a few options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Had a takeaway on Sunday, the food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly and the process was easy. I highly recommend a takeaway if you too want to take a delicious carvery to work! Great food for a great price!

I first ate here in December 2023 and vowed never to return unless I wanted to be with the company I was going with as the food wasn't great and cold. I visited again today but alas my last time. The food again was cold...I suspect everyone else was happy as they tipped ladles of boiling gravy over their meals to heat them up. I had tried to circumnavigate this problem by ordering a meal from the menu but this wasn't available. On being asked to choose again no-one came back to speak to me so I reluctantly joined the carvery queue. I wasn't impressed to see each meat being carved using the same knife...The roast potatoes were covered in herbs and when asked for plain potatoes I was told there wasn't any. Dessert options were also in short supply...A very poor offering when the management know how many group bookings are due in so very poor management in place. When asked about lack of options available to be told it's after Sunday doesn't come up anywhere near an answer. When I asked a member of staff why the vegetables are cold he said they shouldn't be as they're sitting in boiling water. I think you could probably put a child's hand into the vegetable containers and there'd be no danger of scalding. I won't be visiting again.

i went here not expecting much as far as food goes but i was blown away by the amazing service and amazing manner in which i was treated by the staff, especially bailie and molly -isaac

Another fantastic Christmas party night hosted by The Kennington. Yes the food isn’t 5* quality, but for the price you really can’t complain. Service, however, is always top notch!

I visited here Wednesday with my family after hearing reviews and searching high and low for a decent carvery! We were not disappointed the food was fresh and tasty the meat portion was incredibly generous! The decor is charming the fireplace scenery is very pretty! We cannot wait to come back thank you for a wonderful meal

We’ve been coming to The Kennington Carvery for many years. The food is amazing, the staff are brilliant, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Our waitress was Maisey - bless her… we were a HUGE party of 28 people and she was not fazed at all. Fabulous service. Thank you. We’ve had birthday parties, and get togethers, along with my Mum’s wake - and they ALWAYS come up trumps. Can’t praise the staff here enough.

We had a large family gathering lunch last Sunday. The occasion was an early Christmas get together. The food was marvelous and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Maisey our waitress was brilliant she went above and beyond. We had 34 including 14 children we were made welcome and attended too very professionally. The cost is so reasonable and everyone had a perfect time. Other places will not except large groups. We have found our perfect venue. We went to the Kennington today and there was 34 of us in total, I cannot express enough how attentive and amazing the staff was, we had Maisey as our waitress and she was absolutely incredible, even bringing sauces to our tables (which usually you’d have to go up and get them yourself with it being a carvery). We had a lovely family lunch it was topped off with the amazing staff there. I highly recommend this place! 🤩

Myself and 3 friends had Sunday lunch to celebrate my 40th birthday. The food was delicious, especially the chocolate brownie sundae, the service was amazing and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend The Kennington Carvery.

We like to meet up with the family at Ashford designer outlet, which is how we discovered the Kennington. We were simply looking for somewhere to have a traditional Sunday lunch, although it’s open during the week. Four choices of meat, nine choices of freshly prepared veg, and you’re welcome to go back for seconds. There’s a nice selection of starters and desserts, including my wife’s favourite the Lemon Meringue Sundae. Friendly staff that will always try to fit you in, and absolutely guaranteed to destroy your diet.

Disappointed in the fact of the price going up and the food not being available when ready to eat. The food I did eat was good though, although our drinks came as I was nearly finished eating. Higher up staff are disrespectful to the younger staff. I won't write the place off just yet and hope it's more enjoyable on my next visit sometime. Kudos to the young man who served us Olly

Didn't enjoy our usual experience last Sunday. Turkey was overcooked and crumbled not slices. Plates were cold making our whole meal cold. My friend sent his back and I think it could have been microwaved. I would have expected the owner to come to our table to ask what was the problem.

Hired for a Family Wake, this is our 2nd Family Wake held here and the Staff and Management went above and beyond. From time of organising to the actual day with amazing food, drinks and courteous Staff and Management always checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. We highly recommend this venue and will most definitely use them again in the future.

Four of us went today and had the carvery..great variety of vegetables prepared to perfection, tender and succulent meats and dessert was even better Staff were friendly and attentive and it was great to see it so busy, great value for money

My partner and I weren't sure what to expect after the recent bad publicity given to the establishment but were very pleasantly surprised. Joining our Club for our annual lunch we were welcomed by the friendly staff and served a sumptuous roast dinner, desert and tea/coffee. All in all excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family alike.

Wow my wife and I went to The Kennington with 87 others from our club. The food was great, I had the t,urkey and gammon which was very tender and there was good assortment of vegetables. Also the desserts were to die for I had the Ferrero rocher sundae we were also supplied with a coffee station. I would also like to congratulate the management and staff who were very efficient in clearing the tables. Thank you.

Really bad customer service, familiarities and insinuations unnecessary from a seriously rude so called “manager”. Meat are way overcooked and dry. Asked to be served less cooked meat, no reply.. just the guy kept on cutting and loading the plate..

I wish google had negative stars for this one ! Worst customer care interaction experienced in my life. Loved being insulted and called a thief, well, NO I DO NOT !!

First time here and 'WoW' what a choice, what a lovely meal. My girlfriend and I came here for the Sunday carvery we would normally go to the Toby, but no comparison, here is far better!!! The fact you can go and get what you have just eaten all over again is amazing, we would've done but we were full from the first time we went up. Had dessert which was really nice and hot, service was good all round experience was excellent we will definitely be back for more

This is the first time I have been back since all the bad reviews in the press. I was a little reluctant at first, but mu mum and her club committee were given a tour a couple of weeks ago to check the improvements, as they had booked a lunch for their club. They were more than impressed with the work that had taken place. I have never had a bad meal here, and once again, everything was spot on. The food was very tasty with the option to go back for more if you wanted. Everything was regularly replenished, and was piping hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive without bring overbearing. A very relaxing meal, as always. The only disappointment was that normally the place is full but there were a lot of empty tables today probably due to the poor press reviews. I hope this turns around soon and the restaurant gets back up to full capacity where it belongs.

We hadden gereserveerd maar moesren 10 minuten wachten voordat we aan tafel werden gebracht. Wachten wachten, toen zelf maar een serveersrer gehaald. Wij hadden carvery mijn zoon iets vd kaart. Zou een kwartiertje duren. Inmiddels waren wij gestart met eten. Nog maar eens om zijn eten gevraagd...de keuken had het druk. 35 minuten voor 3 kipstukjes en friet en niet eens lekker. Carvery was ok. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar

I've heard lots of great things about the kenington carvery. I had the pleasure of attending for a private function and the staff attention to detail and support was fabulous. The food was very nice and plentiful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

Haven’t been for a little while - Wednesdays are normally a little quite compared to the Sunday carvery. Food was lovely and fresh ,the beef was perfect, the service was lovely, couldn’t do enough for you. Definitely be coming back soon

We had a family day visit the Carvery food not all that pay for it would not Recommend this Carvery to visit for food I had a larger shandy in smell like rotten egg knifes and folks was not clean

Great place for a Sundsy roast. The good is good quality and is not left hanging around drying out like some carvery's. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is still reasonable even though food prices have increased. I will certainly be going back there soon.

Had a table booked for 4.30 sat down took our drinks order ,fine. ,took our food order no mash potatoes so my so had to have chips,anyway I'm a vegetarian so i ordered the no meat meatballs well kelly and stanley paul was about finished an hour later my food still wasnt there i waited over an hour and got nothing so i went over to the staff and calmly asked to have my order removed from the bill because i wasnt prepared to wait any longer,i then walked out to go and have a cigarette,so there attitude service and food was non existent,I've only been there 5 times and everytime theres been issues,so i can honestly say i wont b going back again,

Unfortunately not a great experience food all over the floor under tables not cleaned before handing over to the next customer Popped in children’s menu was completely run out when the drinks turnt up up flat with no gas Knives and folks with food all over them where the dishwasher had not complete removed. Mothers Day visit. Family of 4 Seated quickly, drinks served and then was given time to look at the menu. Timing was good. Even though it was busy the queue was not long. Steady stream of people. Barely a 2 min wait. The meats were nicely prepared. Gammon Beef Pork Turkey. The potatoes were a little small if im honest BUT they tasted lovely. All the veg was nice. Gravy was good. Yorkshire Puds nice and crispy with a good colour. Our server was a lovely lad with a nice clear polite voice. He checked on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything extra etc (nothing over the top). Children had some puddings which were devoured. Toilets were nice and clean. Our family thoroughly enjoyed joyed our meal. We will absolutely visit again soon.

Never had a bad meal here and ive been lots of times, and missed out a few times as couldnt get in because there were fully booked 🤔 totally recommended A* 10/10 always

I bit the bullet and decided that being Sunday, a roast was ideal and searching trip advisor, this place came highly recommended and on going I found out exactly why. The price for the carvery was £14.95, you might see this as expensive, especially if you're used to a specific chain or two of family carvery that serves carvery for a slightly cheaper price but this is why £14.95 is greater value for money for a couple of simple reasons alone... Unlimited meat and yorkies! Gone are the days of a couple of slices and if you want more than one Yorkie, you got to pay! Although the carvery was self service, I did have to order drinks and they were at the table ready for when we'd finished plating up, how's that for service! Overall the experience was great, the option on the carvery and the food itself was amazing, the atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly and delivered an amazing service, not to also mention, your tips go to the person and not the businesses pocket, bonus! So remember to tip your waitress, after tonight they showed they definitely deserve it :)
