Attended a wedding here and it was amazing! Gorgeous venue, quite quirky but tasteful. We had exclusive use of the premises so guests could sit by the fire in the lounge, or out on the terrace - with stunning views across the estate. Ceremony was in the music room, which was a little snug but made for a very personal atmosphere. Food and wine was delicious. The evening party was out in the courtyard with a canopy overhead (handy when the rain came later on!) and was dressed beautifully, with fairy lights in the trees and candles on the tables. They even had a supply of blankets for when the evening chill came. I want to pay tribute to the staff - most of whom were quite young - they were so friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and everything was done with a smile. The whole day went without any snags (that we were aware of) and made the day so special for the bride and groom.

A wonderful location and a beautiful lunch venue! Service impeccable. However, after a very acceptable starter, the main course was a definite letdown. Duck Shepherds Pie is not to be recommended!! Piping hot and totally tasteless. We were offered two free coffees to compensate. At approximately £65 per head - not the experience we expected. A bit of an embarrassment really.

We had our wedding at The Kennels in December 2023 and it was a wonderful day that we will always remember, thanks to the gorgeous venue and amazing staff at The Kennels. We wanted a wedding venue that would accommodate a small group, and be dog friendly. The Kennels is beautiful inside and out and the rooms created a stunning backdrop to our day. The staff were the most brilliant thing about the day, they just couldn’t do enough for us. Everywhere we turned there was a member of the team straightening out my wedding dress behind me, handing us champagne and nibbles. The wedding team were flexible with our meal choices before the wedding and allowed some tweaks like us having battered fish and chips, and the portions were really big and just gorgeous, we were all really full up! Even later into the evening the staff were so attentive and were keeping track of our guests belongings and fetching my bouquet for me. We never felt like we were being a pain. There were members of the Kennels using the venue on the day of our wedding for their dinner etc in the main restaurant and they couldn’t have been nicer or more welcoming to our wedding party, and all of them stopped to compliment my dress or say congratulations to us. So many of our guests have contacted us to say it is the best wedding they’ve been to. If anybody is wondering whether or not to have their wedding at The Kennels, please do not hesitate.

Took friends to the Kennels lounge/bar for a light lunch, however all the tables were occupied. Not by others having lunch, but by singles on computers running their businesses ! No attempt by the staff to move them on. After an embarrassing 30 minutes glaring at the selfish people, we left and had a fabulous lunch at The Earl of March pub.

We had a lovely lunch at the Kennels on Easter Friday. We enjoyed a drink outside in the sun - great list of english sparkling wines! The food in the restaurant was delicious as always and very decent portions. The chips were perfection and the garlic orzo was very nice (very garlicky but also fresh). The fish was in a very light batter and was huge. All in all a lovely lunch and as always, lovely to bring the pup in too! The service was very good - quick and friendly.

Impressed by the excellent reviews, I contacted the Kennels via the telephone number on the Tripadvisor site. I made a lunch booking for two well in advance, mentioning it was for our wedding anniversary. The booking was accepted. I was asked of which club I was a member, to which I replied that I was a member of Cowdray Polo Club. A few days before the reservation, the Kennels rang to confirm the booking. I was told that they would give us a good table as it was our anniversary. At 0930 on the morning of our lunch (23rd December), they rang to query our booking on the grounds of not being Goodwood Members. I answered we were not members. They promised to phone back. At 1030, having had no reply, I phoned again to be told that our reservation was cancelled, with no apology. I do not wish to criticise the Kennels for their policy. They are fully entitled to limit their availability to members. I do however have criticisms to make, both to Tripadvisor and to the venue. There is no mention of the members-only nature of the venue on the Tripadvisor site. I would never have attempted to make a booking if that had been the case. It follows that all the reviews on the Tripadvisor site are by members or their invited guests – not by members of the public who follow your site. I am sure the reviews are valid as to content, but question their suitability as their authors could be considered as having an affiliation to the venue, and whether the Kennels should even be included on listings given its exclusivity. The Kennels obviously feel they have no need to court the public in a forum such as Tripadvisor. However, given the present volatile circumstances surrounding service delivery organisations they perhaps need to reflect on their exclusivity. Given that the Kennels had obviously not followed their members-only policy by refusing non-members, and only cancelled our reservation at the eleventh hour, they showed a poor sense of public relations. We are in our seventies and they spoilt our anniversary celebration without any attempt to apologise or mitigate. One hopes this is not a reflection of their attitude to the public, on whose massive support for their sporting events they rely.

The restaurant/bar/lounge/golf shop are all located in the estates original Kennels building. Great old architecture overlooking the estate and main house in the distance. Great spot for and afternoon walk then a snack and snifter in the bar or lounge with open fire. Perfect stop point on a winter days walk around the estate.

This was our second visit; the first was back in June when our experience was first class; we were not disappointed this time round. The place has a great ambiance, the staff are very pleasant with good personalities to achieve the right interaction with the guests and of course the food would be difficult to better. Service was a little bit slow this time, but I suspect that like all hospitality businesses getting staff at the moment is proving challenging.

I booked a table for lunch with Mrs W and my Mother-in-law. The restaurant is lovely - not too big, tables nicely spaced and a lovely view towards the House. There is a tempting menu and we all chose the duck breast. An amazing dish. Washed down with chilled tap water and a cheap bottle (£30) of Ozzie merlot. Also served yummy bread. Superb staff. Bill £120. A bargain.

Let me say I am now a member and decided to take a guest to the Kennels for light lunch in the lounge/bar. What a joke. Firstly no one asked for my membership card at any time! In the lounge/bar, at least 4 of the four-seater tables designed for eating were taken up by single persons tapping away on their computers! What’s that about? It’s not an office and is very selfish. Why can’t they do this at home? With nowhere to sit (I didn’t want to sit under the golfers’ tent) we left and went to the Angelsea Arms pub. I suggest the management take a look at this and stop people running their business from the Kennels.

On arrival the reception staff was very friendly and helpful, readily assisting with taking overcoats on a cold January night. Bar staff were equally pleasant and very easy to order from a well stocked bar. The venison was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, platter of local cheeses was excellent. However, the wine was exorbitantly expensive which made the whole dining experience unpalatable. Settling for a bottle of Australian Merlot 2019 at £28 proved to be harsh choice for the price. We could not find anything to commend this wine. We have been here before and again we were not particularly pleased about the quality of food for the price. We are used to fine dining and do not mind paying value for money - The Kennels do not provide that to us. We will not recommend it.

I have known the Kennels for many years, and it continues to be as good as it always has been. Our recent Sunday lunch was excellent and good value for the level. Most of the food - meat, vegetables, cheese - are sourced from the Goodwood Estate, which is impressive. Their beef is very good, and I tend to have roast beef when I visit but all the main courses are strong. My daughter has their "Puppies' menu, which is both reasonably priced and generous. The restaurant is ably steered by Kevin, the maitre d'hotel. For a fine restaurant, it is a friendly place for both dogs (as the name suggests) and children although I have never found either to be remotely disruptive.

Just had Sunday lunch at the kennels, and was most disappointed. It was tasty, though the beef was tough, the roast potatoes grey and dried up, and all except the cauliflower cheese only luke warm. Nobody approached throughout the whole meal to ask if it was to our satisfaction. Eventually, when the plates were cleared, I pointed out my disappointment concerning the meal to the waitress and also the head waiter, and was dismissed with just an ‘oh, ok ‘

The kennels used to be one of my favourite places to take clients to, but it's sadly gone downhill and is outrageously expensive for pretty poor food and tables that are often not cleared in time for new customers. The last two clients I took there had food and drink splattered down them (on separate occasions) due to untrained staff who looked bemused and flustered (we felt bad for them so did not complain).Oh... And don't get me started on the overpriced hot dog and flies!Very sad as it used to be somewhere really special.

We have recently joined the Kennels - after today's breakfast rather wish we hadn't bothered. They seem to be suffering from a plague of flies at the bar and in the lounge - we might as well have been sitting outside - flicking away a crowd of flies throughout the meal is not restful. My son asked for a second cup of coffee - this came in the same mug as his first so did not look pristine any more, his bagel was tired and chewy - my croissant was one step away from being burnt - no jam and butter until croissant virtually gone and my husband's granola with a smear of yoghurt on top was akin to eating a large bowl of hamster food and virtually impossible to swallow.

Could not fault the staff from arriving to drinks service to dining they were all friendly but professional which always contributes so much to the overall experience. As regards the food we last dined at the Kennels circa 2 years ago but was not overly impressed on that visit. However the food last night was much improved in both quality and the cooking and presentation all be it a restricted menu. My partner had the asparagus which had a lighter sauce that did not overwhelm the plate. I had the steak tartare which was flavoured spot on. For mains I had the pork belly which has now become one of my favourite dishes. My partner had the lamb which was a little pink for her tastes but tasted fine to myself but each to their own. For deserts the cheese board came with what appear to taste as home made biscuits that completed vey well. The treacle tart, rhubarb and custard was a little heavy but is a tart so to be expected but could have been a little more generous with the custard. Overall will definitely be returning especially when the full menu becomes available.

Parking awful, had to walk several hundred yards and cross a very busy road to reach the restaurant. We were well received on arrival but did not have our temperature checked. The menu was well represented for all tastes as was the wine list well chosen. The Chalk stream trout was ample and well presented with pickled cucumber. Unfortunately the scallop dish only had 2 scallops. The battered haddock looked impressive but was more batter than haddock. The haddock was served with chunky chips which were a bit tasteless. Cod loin was very good served on a bed of puy lentils and bacon lardons; regrettably lentils and lardons were very salty. Adding £4 per side dish is just greedy and unnecessary. Overall, the dining experience was mixed and of poor value. The restaurant setting is great but it is a long roundabout route to the toilets. We had a very ordinary South Africa Chenin Blanc at £39 a bottle which was a bit exorbitant. All wines were over priced for the quality offered. Over all poor value lunch.

Simiply wonderful. Apart from the splendid surroundings that you would expect everything else was spot on. Let’ start with their Covid arrangements which were comfortably in place without being in your face. All staff wearing visors which is so refreshing to see, I insist on this in my pubs and was beginning to think I was the only one. In addition a one way system is in place for movement through the restaurant to the rest rooms and back. Plenty of opportunity to sanitise you’re hands too. Next the staff, top notch, very polite and just the right level of attentiveness. Even a minor issue pouring champagne over my wife was forgiven with a smile because of the way it was dealt with. Last but not least the food. I had a very red meat day of Steak Tartare followed by probably the best sirloin of beef I have ever had rounded off with a cheese board. The only down side is I wish I lived closer.

It was my birthday so i thought we would treat ourselves and we had breakfast at the Kennels yesterday and ate outside under the canopy. I have been previously and was a member, but not for a while and it has gone masively down hill. The waiter was efficient but was on his own with probably 40 customers. we had to wait untll he made 20 coffees by hand for others before he even took our order. We had a simple breakfast,(as thats all that was on order) the bacon rolls were fatty and poor, the salmon and eggs was poorly presented, and 2 slices of toasted bread and melted butter (wasn't refrigerated and was basically liquid when we got it) for £3.50, that is £1.75 for ONE slice of badly toasted toast that took 20mins o get to us, and was just normal supermarket style bread, ridiclious. 6 of us, £82, thats crazy, i will not be eating here again! coffe was nice, but took 30mins and was expensive, the waiter friendly but over worked, and handled the glasses and encroached during service and clearing, not good for social distancing. Not to mention a loose dog being allowed to wonder the tables and the restaurant. very poor for what was once and aspirational place.

It looks like there has been a change in Chef who doesn't understand casual eating. Sure, there's a Burger, and a very good one too, but the rest of the bar menu is pretentious. I was invited by a member and took along my teenage and 20s children expecting at least fish and chips. But no, it's now Scampi and chips and not even those nice chunky chips they used to do. Other things like White bait, lamp skewers, 'fish cakes, soft boiled egg, shaved fennel, citrus salad' and so on are not what one expects from a BAR menu and certainly not what young people want to eat. I suggest things like, steak baguette, chicken gougons, sandwiches, sausage and mash. My experience with chefs (I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years), is they want to impress other chefs and show how clever they are. So a great venue (we sat in the sun on the terrace), very friendly and efficient staff, but a very disappointing, overpriced and pretentious bar menu. It's a casual eating place, frequented by golfers and members who just want a quick casual bite. If I had wanted a 'sophisticated' menu, I would have dined inside in the restaurant.

Having been a fellow member for 3 years and not yet used one of my two vists a year. A friend suggested trying out the afternoon tea as its become a bit of a thing to try out lots of very nice afternoon teas and compare them against each other. So far top of the list is Afternoon tea at Goodwood house nowhere else has even come close. Until now! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome. We were quickly shown to our table which over looked the terrace and down to the house. We were served quickly with tea and the afternoon tea followed shortly after. We could have done with a bigger table to fit it all on! The staff were attentive but generally left you alone nothing was too much trouble when you asked for things. The food was delicious. Good selection of sandwiches and rolls a bit different but not over messed with. The scones were a really big winner warm soft in the middle little crunch to the outside and so light. Had choice of cream and jam or lemon curd. Never had lemon curd like it they make it themselves and it was so smooth and really tasty. The cakes were equally as yummy again a little different without being too messed with or fussy. Having looked at the other food going out, if it tasted half as good as it looked it would be well worth having!Think I will now be using my yearly vists more regularly now!

The kennels restaurant is such a great location which is not cheap that it comes as a surprise when food is not up to standard. We had braised feather blade of beef which was dry and very chewy and served with mash potatoes that, judging from the taste, were made from powdered potatoes and very salty. The beef is supposed to be moist and succulent as a result of using marbled beef slow cooked for several hours. What a pity that our beef fell well short of this.

Shame we had to wait for over an hour after the time of booking. No explanation. The pork dish I had was heavenly and my companion had a steak. The best he had ever had. Ohio’s, don’t forget to order vegetables as the dishes don’t come with them and our waiter forgot to ask us if we wanted any!

Met friends for lunch yesterday. The beef was ok but carved far too thickly. Did not want to complain as we were there for a friends birthday. Gravy cold, but even worse it was served up on cold plates. We were members but on Sundays meal would not be in a rush to renew membership. Lack of gravy and the side dishes came out far too late. Ironically the dishes that they were served in were hot, but all our mains were served on cold plates. Beef was far too fatty. Would not recommend on yesterday’s food. Further husband had the sole described as being served with brown shrimps as well as capers. Capers were plentiful but there were NO brown shrimps on the sole.

On arrival it does feel a bit James Bond with a beautifully lit building and impressive entrance way. Once you are inside the decor is just so inviting and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Came back to the Kennels for a special occasion and completely pleased with the new menu here. Smoked salmon as starter was a good choice, fillet steak was succulent and flavourful. Pork belly was perfectly cooked. Absolutely wonderful! Definitely come back!

Rather than having a luxurious lunch in the restaurant, a snack in the bar is well worth it. All the choices are from fresh ingredients and made to order.

You need to be Goodwood member or a guest in the hotel. We have stayed in the hotel before (highly recommend it) and this time we were invited guests. I really couldn't fault the experience. From drinks in the bar overlooking the parkland to the sommelier/maitre'd the service was impeccable. The recommended wine with our meal was outstanding and the food excellent. I think that my belly of pork is the best I have had. Puddings were divine. Would I go back? Oh yes!

Booked a Sunday lunch for 4 people. Whilst waiting in the lounge area a waiter took our drinks order. I asked for a cider but wasn't told whether bottle or draft was on offer. When it arrived, it was a pint, when the waiter had asked me directly about my order and did not ask whether a half pint was wanted. We were seated on time and it was quite busy. At £30 for 3 courses, I felt it a bit expensive, considering 2 of the main courses were fish and chips and roast beef. After our order was taken we had to chase for the starters, having waited 40 minutes, whilst, during that time, the next table had been given starters and mains. The food was okay but not better than a lunch elsewhere for half the price. Whilst the surroundings are lovely the premium charged for the food, in my opinion, was not worth it.

We’ve been eating at The Kennels since it opened but haven’t visited for sometime. Our visit last night was a spur of the moment booking but when my husband tried to call to book no one answered the first time and so had to call back an hour later. The girl who answered told him that she was doing the table plans but it was very full and she couldn’t promise us a table but would call back which she did and said that the only time she could offer us was 7.45pm which my husband accepted. We arrived half an hour early to have a drink in the bar but on our arrival there was nobody to greet us so after about 5 minutes wait we walked through to the bar. The regular barman was there and was his usual efficient and welcoming self however the waitress was less than friendly and gave the impression that she didn’t really want to be there. The table we sat down at was uncleared and when she did take the glasses she failed to wipe the table down. Our drinks were deivered in a disinterested manner. Having been told that the restaurant was busy and we had to be there at 7.45pm sharp, we were somewhat surprised that the bar and the lounge areas were so quiet. We were also surprised that having been given our menus we were told that there was no rush and we were eventually taken through to our table at 8.30pm. On entering the restaurant there were plenty of available tables and were in fact given a choice of 3 to sit at!!! Unfortunately it didnt get any better. There used to be a choice of several artisan breads but on this occasion only offered brown or white slices. We ordered our food and the waitress brought over our soup spoons which were “dumped” on the table and in fact she leant over my husband with mine and literally dropped it onto the table inside of my other cutlery instead of walking around the table to place it on the outside of my knives. As a vegetarian there was only one choice for me (which is fine and is quite normal in restaurants with small menus), however it was not at all nice and the pastry case was so thick and dry I couldn’t eat it. My husband had the lamb dish which was over cooked and very uninspiring. Additionally, the table cloths were un-ironed and several of the pictures (particularly in the bar) were crooked. Not what we expected or are accustomed to at The Kennels and I’m sure not what the Duke of Richmond would want to portray. We are local members of 20 years standing.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing place. Living only five miles away I frequently visit. There is a club membership but is well worth it. The library is a petrol heads dream, and once the summer appears you can sit overlooking Goodwood house bathed in sunshine. Wether you want to spot the red kites, or revel in the thunderous roar of the local track. ( when racing is on ), see a Spitfire or Harvard flying overhead it's got to be one of the most unique places and I'm lucky to be a part of it. Service by professional staff and lovely food shows just a well oiled machine. Thank you. Lee.

We came here for lunch and were so disappointed! The salmon as starter was good but gurnard was dry and flavourless! Rib-eye steak was covered in salty gravy, very fatty and didn’t taste like proper steak at all. The bill turned up with £120 for 2 starters, 2 main, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of wine!?!? Absolutely rip off!

We went to th kennels as a party of 10 family members for a sepcial lunch. We had a wonderful time the service was emaculate the setting beautiful and they have a quirky inclusion policy for dogs. It was fun to see many fluffy friends sitting under tables. The food was well presented and nicely served. The menu is limited which indicates that everything is prepared on site and daily and certainly my carnivore relatives loved the food. I chose the vegiterian option with a beautiful cauliflower soup starter. My main course of mushroom and spinach pie was tasty but a little dry and uninspired. For carnivores I would give this restaurant 10/10 but for veggies be prepared to enjoy the setting which is memorable

We were celebrating my husbands birthday and had a lovely evening here with our dog - who was made very welcome in the main restaurant area and in the bar - which I suppose is to be expected given the name of the establishment but it was all done with great style. The food and service were excellent. Can highly recommend the scallops to start and the sirloin steak in a beautiful sauce - delicious! Such a lovely setting and the staff were all charming. Wish that we lived a little closer as we would definitely join to experience this on a regular basis - as it is we hope to return very soon. Thanks to the team for making it such a memorable evening.

Great greeting by staff upon entering the place! Decor is relatively modern, with a charming classical touch. Went up with a friend, and we both loved the fact that dogs are welcome! Great views of the Goodwood estate. Rib eye was cooked to perfection, and Pheasant Wellington was of great standard! Desserts are also stunning! Blackcurrant Souffle and the Apple Crumble are good ones! Drink wise, the wine list is also extensive. Also it was good to know that all the ingredients are locally sourced! Also charming waiter Peter had great customer skills! Definitely recommend this place for any meal.

Absolutely shocking would not recommend the kennels to anyone avoid this place at all cost food was terrible and very over priced for what it is How they can have a food hygiene rating of 5 I’ll never no my plate and glass where filthy when my food was brought out the only thing nice about my experience there where a couple members of staff who seem to be very over worked maybe that’s why the place is a shambles the management there are extremely poor it has to be said.

The Kennels is a members club, so we were delighted when our host invited us to have lunch. It is certainly a beautiful setting with excellent friendly service, but it does not live up to the Goodwood slogan "Here at Goodwood our passion for perfection is very much reflected in our food philosophy with Estate-reared produce featuring heavily in our menus at The Kennels allowing the chefs to produce sublimely memorable dishes."

Everything about The Goodwood Estate and its fantastic sporting experiences is 5 Star... Except one... Dining! The Kennels is a stunning location... and as a golf member I greatly enjoy this fabulous venue... But they really need to up their game when it comes to dining. It has never been at the level of the other Goodwood activities and I don't understand why the Duke accepts this. Last year we ate here and found the food was much better then previously... It’s been ‘ok’ but not up to the quality of the venue. However, then at a private party in the ‘Penguin’ library, we enjoyed an excellent dinner of smokey pumpkin soup, delicious (if a little too salty) hake and an excellent cheese board... all helped down by a great choice of Rhône wines... We were impressed and thought we should give the main restaurant another go.... But recently he were again with a crowd in a private dining room beyond the main restaurant and although the venue, company and service was excellent... the food was again below par. Some of those who chose the beef were happy enough... but the smoked salmon was very ordinary and the sea bream was swamped by a very salty crab sauce ... at least the crumble was good. So many of my fellow-members feel the same way and really, really hope to enjoy food here of the quality of the rest of the Goodwood brand.

We had friends take us that are members. We had a table booked for 7:30 and when we arrived they asked if we would like to have a drink from the bar, so we said yes. We unfortunately had to get our own drinks from the bar. We finished our drinks and sat at the bar area until 8:30 before someone came to get us. Mind you the only came for us because we asked if they forgot about us. Not great service! Once we were shown to our table the service was great, the waiters were very attentive. We had a wonderful starter and maincourse which we all agreed tasted delicious. We had several bottles of wine as there were 5 of us. The evening didn’t start out great but ended up to be a wonderful evening. If our friends decide to invite us back I would definitely go back!

Invited by member long-standing friends. Greeting casual; bar service adequate (we were the only ones for service at that point). Corner table rather hemmed in which made the task of the rather amateurish waitress even more difficult. The wine waiter was a pleasant lad who appeared to have no experience of wine waiting. So, to the food - we were very disappointed. It was very small portions (only one piece of fish),not very good (dry), part of the main course (arancini) was "not available"and replaced by rather inappropriate and poor chips. The whole thing was vastly overpriced. I can only say that I am sorry for the members if this is what they have to put up with, perhaps reflected in the TripAdvisor rating of only 70 out of the 185 restaurants listed in the Chichester area.

Afternoon chips and beer, very busy, parking can be tight, area to side, hard to see, small area adjacent to front entrance where a small terrace of tables are located, chips with diesel! Chips and cider were excellent The inside is quirky, well laid out with a lot of local history posted on the walls.

Popped in for lunch following a walk to the Halnaker Windmill. Managed to get the last table available. I had the "lunchtime" size fish and chips with tartare sauce and mushy peas and my partner had the gammon, egg and chips. Both were very good. The "lunchtime" size fish and chips was a perfect size. My partner then had the crumble and ice cream and I had a mini version with custard and a flat white coffee. All very good too. Friendly staff and a great menu. A good selection of alcohol free beers. Definitely one to visit again when in the area, would book in advance.

Very disappointed in my Scrambled egg on brown toast, the egg had no taste very pale done in the microwave, and water on my plate made my barely toasted toast wet and soggy. Great pleasant staff. Service good but unfortunately the breakfast was horrible.

We often visit this Greggs whilst shopping in Chichester as their sausage rolls are the best. As I don’t drink dairy milk, in the past I’ve always had soya in little cartons. My husband asked for oat milk (my favourite) and to my pleasant surprise Greggs now offer oat milk as an alternative. So my order was for an Americano with oat milk on the side. My husband also mentioned “on the side”. This is because I don’t take much so need to add it myself. So when the lady served an Americano with oat included (frothed up, yuk) (Since when does an Americano have warm frother milk in it?) I said, no I ordered oat milk on the side. Stroppy cow said she didn’t hear that (we said it twice) and that anyway they don’t serve oat milk on the side. So I’ve paid for a coffee that I can’t drink as it’s too milky. I really expected her to say “sorry madam, let me do another one for you”. I mean, for the sake of customer satisfaction, just pour it away and serve me what I’ve asked for! Is it too much to ask to have oat milk on the side? This is a first for us. Every other coffee establishment we visit serves it cold, and on the side when asked. She has no customer skills at all. A right stroppy cow. We were disgusted.

We popped in without a reservation on a Saturday lunchtime and luckily they had a table for us. The pub was buzzing with happy people, clearly lots of locals too which is always a good sign. We had three courses - hadn’t planned to but the food was just soooo good! The prawn cocktail was the best we’ve ever had, and mains were delicious. OH had sea bass and I had lambs liver. Both served piping hot and with fresh veg. One of my main beefs is when food isn’t hot enough. Not so here, well done Berkeley Arms. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for too. We live 20 mins away but we’ll most definitely be back!
