Had lunch here and was very disappointed. The fish pie consisted of 3 king prawns, piece of cod about size of 50p , and a large quantity of mussels (which are molluscs) - all very tasteless. Where were the types of fish that should be in a fish pie? Also, half a lager shandy was ordered; the barman obviously didn't understand the request, even though it was repeated three times, as the drink arrived in a full pint glass.

What a difference from the pub round the corner. Beer was good ( I’m from up North so it was nice to see a head) Food was fabulous and the staff greeted us like we were locals and despite being quite busy they had time for small talk. I’m no likely to be down this way again so all I can do is encourage you to visit. Proper Pub, real people.

This pub is a little gem!! We ate in here both nights we were in Chichester because it was so good! The staff are very friendly and the pub gets very busy and lively around 7 pm onwards. Evening food is served from 6pm and is very good and reasonable prices. The first night, we all tried the monkfish curry, which was great. The sticky toffee pudding was huge! Plus, they make their own ice cream, including bacon flavour!!!!! We saw the fish and chips being served to others, and it looked so good that we decided to come back the second night. It was really worth it! The fish was huge! It was in a beautiful light batter, and tasted very fresh! It was served with wedge chips and what seemed to be homemade tartar sauce and mushy peas. Very yummy! I'd definitely go there again and again!!

Pretty tasty, tho portions were a bit light, very nice staff, good for lunch in a pleasant, clean, well thought out old fashioned pub, if a little busy as far as table layout goes. Lots of locals eating there regularly so best book to avoid disappointment. A real pub, lots of character, but a real locala reputation for good food, but without the corporate brewary image. The Park Tavern nserves some excellent, and much appreciated wine (vioginer), and superb condition draught beers. All this with a comfortable, but not overblown bar room. Our meals were, quite simply, great - no big fuss, just excellent food, well served, and it made for a brilliant evening,on a very wet Thursday night.

On first visit to Chichester discovered this lovely traditional pub - welcomed in, table found for us in a very busy lunchtime, the food was delicious and the fact all sourced within 12 miles, with this explained on the menu was impressive. We were so pleased we booked for dinner that evening. Again the pub was busy with a buzzing, welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, piping hot, fresh complimented by a lovely pinot noir. And reasonably priced which is makes a change these days! The staff were a young, enthusiastic team and Emily really looked after us. They were enjoying themselves and so was everyone else! Went here for pre-theatre dinner. Starters were okay, not great but came in reasonable amount of time. Then waited and waited for min course. Thought that our order might have been forgotten. Eventually asked where the mains were and told then told it would only "be a minute". When my food came our order had clearly been forgotten about as the pie I had ordered had clearly been in the oven about three times longer than it should have been - the pie was completely shrivelled up, pastry was like cardboard and the inside was completely dried out and over cooked. Hard to understand how a kitchen could send out this rubbish. Meal and special occasion spoiled - thanks very much Park Tavern.

A fantastic Fullers pub. Just great. We walked past at 10 to 12 before it opened one Saturday, though it looked nice, and returned at 10 past to find it almost full. Local old boys with their pints and newspapers, couples, families ... busy, friendly, warm, and welcoming. Interesting beers and ciders and a very good menu. I had fish finger sandwiches (which I have whenever I can and these were the best I'd ever had) and Mr W6Travellers had kedgeree; a rather unusual dish for a pub menu but it was delicious. Not expensive either. It's positioned just off the main shopping streets, opposite Priory Park with the beautiful Chichester Guildhall. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a place to have a meal and drinks with friends when I saw this pub at the end of a side road. Freshly decorated, it stood out and a quick peek through the window confirmed a great selection of beers, whilst the menu posted on the wall had some interesting choices, not the usual repetitive bought in pub food. Three women walking by as I was looking said that it was the best pub in Chichester. They were not wrong, it's simply one of the best pubs I've been in lately and not just in Chichester. The food was truly fabulous; I had the whitebait, home made kedgeree, and home made ice cream, all truly delicious. The ale selection included Fuller's, Gales HSB & Dark Star and the staff were delightful & helpful. I'd give this place 6 stars if it were possible, it was fantastic; simply the gold standard of how to exit a pandemic at the top of your game. Update - Yes, it is really still that good! Update 2 - I've just been back with the same people and this continues to impress in a big way. The food is a quantum leap in standard above any other pub but still great value and the service is simply sublime. There's very little out there to compete with this pub.

I'm so glad we stumbled on this pub as we were exploring Chichester. It has a lovely, homely and slightly quirky atmosphere for example, googly eyes on one pair of antlers on the wall. Service was good (the pub was half full when we visited. The man behind the bar took our order quickly and was friendly and helpful. The food took about half an hour to arrive but remember this is proper food being cooked to order. The menu is interesting and varied; definitely not your usual something-and-chips pub fare. Two of our party had cod loin with crab crushed potatoes and samphire with lobster sauce and the third had belly of pork with bacon mash and cabbage. It was all very delicious. If I was to be very picky, and I mean really, really picky, I thought the cod was slightly overcooked and the potatoes slightly over-peppered but you could really taste the crab and the whole meal came together well. There was an excellent selection of well-kept beers as well. If we were local this could quickly become a regular eating venue. If only we had pubs like this in Coventry.

We often visit this Greggs whilst shopping in Chichester as their sausage rolls are the best. As I don’t drink dairy milk, in the past I’ve always had soya in little cartons. My husband asked for oat milk (my favourite) and to my pleasant surprise Greggs now offer oat milk as an alternative. So my order was for an Americano with oat milk on the side. My husband also mentioned “on the side”. This is because I don’t take much so need to add it myself. So when the lady served an Americano with oat included (frothed up, yuk) (Since when does an Americano have warm frother milk in it?) I said, no I ordered oat milk on the side. Stroppy cow said she didn’t hear that (we said it twice) and that anyway they don’t serve oat milk on the side. So I’ve paid for a coffee that I can’t drink as it’s too milky. I really expected her to say “sorry madam, let me do another one for you”. I mean, for the sake of customer satisfaction, just pour it away and serve me what I’ve asked for! Is it too much to ask to have oat milk on the side? This is a first for us. Every other coffee establishment we visit serves it cold, and on the side when asked. She has no customer skills at all. A right stroppy cow. We were disgusted.

Afternoon chips and beer, very busy, parking can be tight, area to side, hard to see, small area adjacent to front entrance where a small terrace of tables are located, chips with diesel! Chips and cider were excellent The inside is quirky, well laid out with a lot of local history posted on the walls.
