We booked here for a Sunday lunch today and it was amazing very generous portions lovely fresh food piping hot lots of fresh veg we ate so much we could hardly move we did have a pudding too which too was excellent lovely friendly atmosphere attentive staff would highly recommend to go here for Sunday lunch will definitely be going back

Had a great, and very reasonable priced, lunch here. Really friendly landlord. Good beer. Two hours free parking in the big car park, just round the corner, which is another plus.

Bonus point for the bucket in the gents. Proper pub in this small town

What a find! We stumbled across this pub on the way home from Marwell zoo. The staff and the customers (I assume locals) were incredibly friendly! We had a noisy 18 month old with us and everyone was so sweet with her and chatting to us. The garden is set up with some Lego and a little sandpit for children which is a lovely touch. Our food then arrived….beautiful! Really good food and the portions are huge!! We will definitely make a point of stopping by here again. What a find

A small but friendly pub in the centre of Midhurst's Old Town. A popular pub with the locals. Dog friendly. Traditional pub food. I chose the scampi and chips and my fellow dinner ham, chips and double egg. Huge portions. Nicely cooked, presented and delicious.

Visited this pub for the first time on Sunday 5th May with friends and just had to leave you a review, food and service was great. Friendly staff. Best Ploughman’s ever!

After calling at very short notice they managed to fit myself and my family in for dinner on a very busy Friday evening. Service was wonderful and the food was amazing, not only served homemade and fresh but absolutely delicious, left absolutely stuffed. Thank you Alan and Emma for a wonderful evening.

Tried the lunch menu £13 for 2 courses £16 for 3. Starters excellent. Main the pie was full of flavour & clearly homemade as was the chilli 🌶. Good size portions. Great landlord. Would highly recommend and will be back

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here this weekend. Good choice of meats (and a vegetarian option) with lots of veg, and they really made an effort with a dietary requirement for one of our party. The bar staff were really friendly and the dogs got lots of treats from them. We all left full and couldn’t manage any of the lovely sounding desserts.

Food was a very good price, the portions were generous and it all tasted great. We had a 30 min wait for food, but were informed of this before we ordered. We were happy to wait as it was a lovely place to sit and enjoy our drinks.

A warm and friendly traditional pub. Made special by the amazing Kerry who was attentive, pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. Not to mention, if you’re hungry, please spoil yourself with Emma’s delectable dishes. The passion in flavour delivers. You won’t be disappointed.

The takeaway Sunday Roasts were as good as cooking it yourself at home!We had the Sunday Roast Beef and Lamb, Roast Potatoes, Cauliflower Chese, Veg and plenty of wonderful gravy , plenty of everything. Friendly service from the lady who took our order over the phone and served us the lunches. The vegetarian option was also excellent. Thanks. Highly Recommended.

We had our volunteer Xmas celebration tonight at this lovely cosy pub The Xmas roast dinners were enjoyed by all . Great portions u defiantly wont leave hungry . Nothing was to much trouble great service great food great staff . All volunteers want to say massive thank you and we all will be back 😀

This was our first time at the Bricklayers, but will definitely not be the last. A lovely welcoming Pub with excellent food. We had a slight mix up with the order, with Burgers delivered rather than the steak pie which we ordered, but they were excellent, there was no way we were going to have them changed. We had the two course menu which it is said is not as large as the main course one. I hate to think what the size of the main is like, as this one defeated me and I had to reluctantly decline the dessert as I couldn't manage it. A really nice gesture the Manager said he would leave the cost of the drinks off the bill, to make up for the error, this is something we definitely did not want, but it was a really thoughtful touch. We plan to visit Midhurst again to have a better look round, and we will definitely be visiting the Bricklayers.

Fantastic friendly pub wonderful food at a very fair price. It’s now a must go to for us when we’re in Midhurst. You’d be foolish to not go there for a Sunday lunch as I guarantee you won’t find better in this or any other area.

The staff are brilliant, the food is to die for, portions are more than adequate, I recommend that you visit the Bricklayers Arms in Midhurst and try it out for yourself.

Went here for our wedding anniversary and it should be on everyone’s bucket list who live local. Wonderful all round, food, staff,atmosphere all first class. Trying to plan our next visit when they start serving there Sunday lunches in October. 10/10

We came in as a group of 12 with different allergies and needs and they absolutely delivered. Not only did they get our food out quickly but it was amazing quality. Great pub, nice beer garden and lovely staff.

My mum and her friend visited this lovely pub last Sunday, 7th May 2023. They have been before and liked it. However I am sad to report that their experience on this Sunday was below standard. They were denied a lunch because they are both in their 70s and can not eat a full lunch. They had both ordered a child’s roast and were told they can’t have this because they are not children. The Landlord, who is usually lovely I am told by my Mum, agreed that they could not have a child’s meal. Mum says both he and his staff were rude and offhand, she felt embarrassed and humiliated as well as being unfairly treated due to her age and small appetite. She did not want a large meal placed in front of her, most of which she wouldn’t be able to eat.

when i went 7-5-23 in the manners and customer services of the staff member was not what i would expect it seemed they lady who was working there did not want to be there. as well as the pepsi being flat

Another outstanding meal. Incredible value for money and won’t have to eat for three days. Alan is extremely welcoming and his wife Emma is an amazing cook. Haven’t eaten here for a while and am wondering why not! This is a real English pub. Great atmosphere and spotless. Thank you!

Sunday Lunch. Best in the area by far ! Every 2nd Sunday we go out for Sunday lunch and we have now found our go to. We will return every time. Portions - excellent Quality - excellent Variety of veg - excellent, way more than the other places Gravy - loads in a jug and delicious Spuds - excellent Service - landlord and chef wife excellent Seriously can’t fault it. Food was delicious and you get a great selection of veg to go with your main meal. Staff are very friendly and overall a good friendlt atmosphere.

We went for dinner on Friday after we had returned from a trip abroad. Sadly it was nearly empty so a lot,of people missed a very good meal. The Steak and Ale pie is particularly recommended, lots of perfectly trimmed meat and a generous amount of thick tasty gravy with a jug of extra just in case. Served with an excellent mash and fresh vegetables. Too full for a pud but washed it down with a very acceptable bottle of wine. An excellent value filling dinner.

Visited for Sunday roast lunch. Greeted quickly by landlord and had a choice of seating. Glad we booked as quickly filled up. Ordered the roast lunch and was not disappointed. Plenty of meat and potatoes on the plate which was joined with a wide range of vegetables. Excellent quality. I would recommend you come hungry, and book. The deserts looked great but we had no room left!

From the outside we were a little unsure but how wrong we were the staff were amazing we ordered at the bar and sat down and then came out a roast dinner to die for along with more veg than we could eat I would strongly recommend this pub if you want good food and a wonderful atmosphere at a very reasonable price…… we will be returning very soon and more often

Lovely local pub with lots of character. My son and I went for dinner here and menu offered a good selection of meals and the food was not only great value but delicious with huge portion sizes! Staff very attentive and service with a smile. Great if you fancy some very decent pub grub. I would recommend.
