Grew up visiting the premises round Staines area.Basically be open April🙏🤞be over 7days 30th April to 7th May.

Great a authentic pub. Very friendly and welcoming. Great for pool, darts and an amazing juke box. Big and lovely garden. Owners, Paul and H are make everyone feel welcome with free nibbles and the occasional lottery always on the cards. Well worth a visit.

I love this pub..... the owners, Paul & H are so lovely & welcoming, during the day it’s a family oriented pub then in the evening, it becomes a fab night out for couple & singles alike. Highly recommended

I regularly drink at this watering hole, that being a week night or the occasional weekend day/evening. Although the interior is a little warn down, it does give the pub a certain charm. The bar staff are a delightful couple who make you immediately feel welcome as you walk in the door. The selection of alcohol is adequate, and allows me to achieve your goal of getting slightly tipsy. If... You want to go where everybody knows your name

Casually visited the place, five star service and friendly people. Mellow music on bright day light lifted our mood. Definitely recommended a visit

After reading the reviews online I was very dubitatif about going to this pub. However I was highly impressed by it. I found out later that the owners are not the same as before, which explains a lot to me. This pub is amazing! There is a great atmosphere and friendly staff! Love the managers! Highly recommend this pub!

Not dog friendly is not a good start.. Maybe when band plays it gets better but it was pretty dire for decor, cleanliness and friendliness..

One of the few "traditional" pubs left, offering live music on weekends and midweek. Excellent community pub where you can just turn up and BE yourself!

My reviews are always honest and constructive.... if there's a positive I will give credit where due, but this was the worst place I ever encountered. I was working in the Staines area and had occasion to call into this kip. There's not one positive thing that I could find to say. Filthy, boggen, rotten, the worst adjective for a health hazard is not too strong a description in my opinion. The dated and dirty "stippled" ceiling, the greasy tables, the inches of dust on the table supports, skirting boards, and the filthy"stage", I found no redeeming factors here. Unpleasant and unhelpful bartender, the disgusting toilets with no locks on the door, expensive drinks....in my opinion I don't see how this place hasn't been closed by some health authority, and I dread to think how this place serves food. If you're thinking of visiting (perish the thought), don't.... I can overlook dated decor, I can see past temporary mishaps, even a pleasant staff member can help to redeem a place. But, for the Jolly Butcher, there's not one jolly bit about it. Run a mile!!!!! I'm sorry, but someone has to say it!!!!!

Went specifically to see a band play (who were brilliant by the way) and decided to order some food whilst there. As curry features predominantly on the menu it kind of lead me to believe this was their specialty and therefore might be a good choice. How wrong I was..... First off there's no mention of rice anywhere on the menu so once we'd ordered our dishes and paid for it, we were told that it didn't come with rice!!!! Why isn't it listed on the menu as a choice and second why wasn't it mentioned at the point of ordering?! Then it took well over an hour to serve up 5 curries with rice and a toasted sarnie with chips and even then we only got half of our meals with the remainder arriving 5 mins later. The curry itself (a chicken desi) was watery, had barely any chicken in and was served with a very small portion of rice. Hugely disappointing not to mention it left me still hungry. In summary don't bother ordering food here. It's fine for a drink and to watch some live music but that's about it.

Stopped off here with my brothers for a pint or two. Staff were very welcoming and the pub had a very comfortable feel to it. Will definitely be popping back when I'm in the area.

Presentamos en un martes por la tarde y estaba muerto por dentro. Pedimos una pinta y nos dirigimos a los lavabos. No inodoro, heces alrededor del labio del wc y un poco pequeños si el papel (era lo suficientemente). Reconozco que no esperes mucho de un wc público pero al menos esperaba un mínimo de calidad!

El pub es un pub locales. Yo no había entrado por las puertas ya que mi padre solía llevar conmigo aquí cuando era temprano. Ahora en mi 30 he estado varias veces y disfrutamos de cada momento que he estado. Buen personal, una buena cerveza no demasiado caro y un ambiente agradable en general. Sin lujos, sin protestar, que es lo que necesitas.

Acabamos de tener el almuerzo en el jollybutcher. y debo decir que si quieres disfrutar de un buen curry de la India aquí es el lugar para ir. He viajado a medio camino un cruzado del mundo y nunca he disfrutar un curry como yo aquí. Es una visita obligada para los amantes del curry, a cualquier hacerles saber cómo caliente te gusta. el personal es muy amable y woundfull.

We visited Sunday 6th of September to a very warm welcome and a stunning Roast dinner. The pub has finally changed somewhat for the better and the food is incredible. Definitely recommend

We have had the displeasure of visiting The Anglers Retreat in the past, so we thought we'd give this place a go. It was wonderful, all fresh home cooked produce and you can tell. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable, but they weren't intrusive or over bearing. We shall be returning to this newly owned and amazing little pub. Well done guys keep it up.

The Jolly Butcher is a 'good old pub'. No fuss no frills just a good choice of beers and friendly staff. The beer garden is actually a beer patio but at least you can have a smoke with your ale!

This pub used to good but since the pub got closed and reopened the pub has gone down hill the decor in the place is good but the bar staff are so rude just a simple thing and the i am the king of the castle attitude kicks in but other then that the pub is ok
