Thames Court in Spelthorne

We sat in the bar area for an 85th birthday celebration (with our two dogs!) The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious, would definitely come again to enjoy the river view too!

Great first meal at The Thames Court. Food was excellent and we were superbly looked after by Ava who was attentive, professional and very pleasant, making it a special experience for us. Thank you Ava and the team.

Lovely location by the river. We enjoyed our food choices, (although my chicken, bacon and avocado salad had plenty of chicken it could had more avocado in it). Thursday is quiz night too. Book a table in the bar area to take part.

Last Sunday I had Sunday lunch at Thames Court – in the beautiful setting by the Thames in Shepperton. I arrived early and decided to walk up the towpath and explore the surrounding area. Unusually it wasn’t raining so a causal stroll was perfect! The rest of the lunch guests arrived about 45 minutes later and we perused the menu. So much choice it was difficult to decide but I chose the lamb with roast potatoes, mint sauce and all the trimmings! It was delicious so much so that we asked our server to tell the chef how pleased we were. The service was great too, attentive and generous with their time – checking at well timed intervals if we needed anything. The wine menu is comprehensive, but we had the Prosecco in the end. Onto desserts – again fabulous – so much choice. As we were so full we decided to go for the mini brownies with cofree which I dint realise was an option, but my fellow guests pointed and that was perfect. What a delight the whole afternoon was and good value for money – will definitely be back. Thank you Thames Court.

Stopped for lunch, excellent choice, chose the tow course set menu which was very good. All served by Tom in his own unique style. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our meal out at the Thames court. The food was fresh, and the staff attentive, our waitress Janice, on her first day was helpful and pleasant.

I would like to thank Daniy for being so nice and helpful and all the staff for being so nice that's just what my wife and I needed We did go to a restaurant the other week and the waitress was so rude just because I turned the card machine around to check the amount on it.We will be using the Thames court again because a person with Dementia mustn't get stressed because it makes the Dementia worse And it Was nice seeing my wife so nice and calm I would like to say the last time I used the restaurant was last June on my sons birthday so I don't know any one that works there. I got served by Dani and what can I say she gave us service with a smile. She was very professional and a lovely girl. The food is also delicious and i definately recommend going here.

Thames Court is an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff like Dani, and delicious pub grub make it a must-visit spot. It's the perfect place to unwind, grab a drink, and enjoy some tasty food. If you're in the area, definitely swing by for a great pub experience!

Always busy on a Sunday Lunch service, but we had great service from our server Livy. Being busy a few minutes between courses was to be expected but no lengthy delays and the great server made sure that we were happy. The good we selected was served at good temperature and was tasty. The only issue we had was that some of the parsnips were a little hard. We will make a future visit based on this experience.

Love going to the thames court. Its cosy and location is local. We booked for husbands birthday and the waitress was amazing. Thanks Lucy. The meal was excellent and the portions are huge. Service was excellent atmosphere always great. Always a busy place but food came out quick. Highly recommend a beautiful place with a view.10/10.

Sorry but no...terrible ....service zero and my food choice zero ... Don't choose the prawn cocktail ..the driest ever...no sauce...and the pizza so dry.... very very very dry.....not great

Place is beautiful, views are great, but food was extremely bad. We ordered three dishes, and all of them were disappointing. The steak sandwich - meat was bad quality and extremely overcooked and dry. We had and salad and the dressing had an awful taste and the arancini were tasteless. Disappointing food for such a lovely place!

Come back for the first time in a couple of months and the food was even better!

Only had a few bar snacks and drinks but was a lovely afternoon. It was a Sunday and very busy but didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Great service from Tom behind the bar and our waitress Charlotte. Always smiling.

Went to Thames court for dinner with friends and never have we had a bad time long time to get serviced we had to get our on drinks as was never asked if we would like drinks, starters were ok but had to wait a long time for our dinners and when they arrived they were cold had to send back and had to wait another half hour Bedford it was returned after another half hour we had to ask for dessert menu and waitress was very rude as couldn’t believe we wanted dessert but when it finally came two were wrong everyone in our bit of the restaurant were complaining as waitress was useless

I just love it there, I'm on my own and everyone that works there are fabulous. I feel safe seating having a drink. I love them all

We had the room at the top of the stairs for my mums 70th birthday on Saturday evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were great, especially our personal waitress Sarah who ordered and brought up all our drinks throughout the night, cant thank her enough for not having to go downstairs and queue at the bar. The food was lovely too, nice buffet selection and plenty to go around, lovely setting, would definitely recommend and thank you to Tulip Treasures Florist in Shepperton also for providing the decorations.

One of our regular places to go for a few drinks and food, lovely by the river too. The staff are always very helpful and they allow pets which is great for us.

We were seated outside. 1.The table was filthy, and after asking for it to be cleaned, we (a table of 6) had to keep pointing out the areas that were being ‘missed’. Additionally it was evident that it had been quite some time since the cloth had been dipped in soapy water! 2. Appalling service. Food was served and no cutlery had been laid. We had to ask for sets of cutlery at every point a meal was brought to the table! 2. Ditto napkins. 3. Ditto condiments 4. Our plates were simply left on our table long after we had finished eating. 5. Plates from other tables were collected and stacked randomly on 2 or 3 tables 6. The quality of food was exceptionally poor.

Shocking service and cleanliness. Disgusting service, Disgusting cleanliness, pint glasses filthy . It used to be very good. The girl who started to serve poured one pint and then disappeared and then a guy shower up in the bar as he was about to ask if I wanted a drink and his mobile rang and he answered his phone and turned away started to have a conversation as if he was the guest. I stood there for good five minutes with no service at all. Absolutely shocking .I should have poured my own drink and walk honestly that's how bad it was. Awful Awful - 10000000% . DISGUSTING. NEVER AGAIN

Have been coming here for many years, but unfortunately after today’s lunch I will only drink here now, and not eat. The signature burger was not great with one tiny slice of bacon. Not good for £16.75. The salad was very underwhelming and again only two pieces of halloumi for £17.75! Such a shame as the setting is beautiful and the staff lovely. The kitchen is letting it down.

Staff are not friendly. Followed up on the desserts we ordered which got lost in their system - we waited for 35 minutes. Man in the pony tail do not have any customer service skills whatsoever and even gave us dirty looks for following up. Desserts was good but let down by unfriendly staff.

This is a great backwater pub, literally, on the Thames at Shepperton Lock. Lots of car parking, historic building, great food, service and prices - and the location is stunning!

Used to go here a lot years ago and decided to pop in for a quick drink the other night. This place still has it,fantastic location and staff really friendly too. Definitely worth a visit and great location right on the river.

The Thames Court is absolutely beautiful and offers great food at very affordable prices. I had the gammon, 2 x fried eggs and lovely crispy chips and peas.

We have been coming to Thames court for many years ,but I feel now that the place is looking very tiered , the toilets are not nice , everything feels sticky .The tables out side are showing their age and fraying around the edges . The food was ok but not outstanding, I hope that soon it will have a bit of a make over and become as good as it was in the past , it’s such a lovely location. Staff were very efficient and helpful ,thanks for some good times , but I don’t think I will be coming back , the cost of the meal doesn’t reflect on the whole experience any more .

Steak sandwich was cold, skin on fries warm. Double cooked chips barely warm and my 'dressed' salad had no dressing. One slice of tomato and cucumber. Lettuce and onion VERY expensive in a tiny pot . We will not be returning as had a bad experience back in June too which I e mailed about but never had a reply .Waitress dropped the bread of next table but never picked it up to dispose of it. ? Just returned with another chunk. This place needs some serious attention

Great meal with friends at Thames Court yesterday evening. We were served by Gracie, who was excellent, and the food was very good.

My new favourite place to eat in Surrey! The service I had today was excellent and very accommodating for Gluten Free! The food outstanding I shall definitely be back in the foreseeable Thank you for such a wonderful meal and time in your restaurant!!

Over the years we have come to this restaurant on and off and have see it go downhill , wait times quality of food and service. But we decided to try again after a long time. Sadly the outside area quite run down and dirty. Service was very good but my husband got a prawn cocktail instead of prawns and chorizo !! We weren’t the only ones as we did hear people complain of wrong order and quality of food. That wasn’t our issue as the food was quite good, but I ordered pate with bread snd recieved one tiny piece of bread and a good slice of pate, so I asked for more bread and was told we would have to pay extra for it !!! I couldn’t believe it , I had only been out a few days before with friends and we got extra free bread . though the pate was quite nice it wasn’t home made and needed something with it. So once again we won’t be eating there again as they really need to up their game. Over the past ten years this restaurant has sadly gone downhill as it has a neglected feel to it.

£9.50 for king prawns thought it was to good to be true! The smallest prawns you can buy and not even cooked properly, they come with chorizo and should have been hot!! , asked for new ones and they reheated the Same prawns and chorizo which doesn’t sit well with me. The plate come with bread, the bread was not toasted and looked inedible. So asked for butter and literally sent it back with a block of butter on it.

Been here before, and the service and food was excellent. This time, the service was very slow an item I ordered was not available and the person who served me said I could have a free drink or pudding. He never came back. Left very disappointed.

Great setting by the river Thames Over from Long Island New York my brother liver near by. So had a nice meals food was good standard for pub food no complaints what so ever Sat at the same table outside on a Monday and Thursday all good but I wonder why they can’t clean the area of cigarettes ends of the patio floor I took and phone on Monday and Thursday not been cleaned. This is letting you down , only need to buy a leaf blower to get rid of the trash . Will be back in 2 weeks and I will sit at the same table let’s see if it gets cleaned up

Oh such a shame , we used to love coming here for Sunday lunch but will not be back😔 Sunday lunch was served nearly cold and potatoes inedible. Think Yorkshire's were not made fresh either ! No broccoli in veg as described. But the meat was good quality. Nobody bothered to ask how our meals were - now we know why. Agree with previous reviews re the cleanliness . Tables not wiped down, and patio area very scruffy : tables fraying , litter and used cigarette ends everywhere , obviously not swept or cleaned regularly. The disabled toilet in dire need of redecoration . Staff were also throwing used bottles into the bin behind us really loudly , they did not look happy! Management : really hope you do something about this as it’s so sad such a lovely place gone down so much.

Great location, love the inside and out. Didnt eat on this occasion as young kids were not very hungry for a change so just had drinks. Staff so friendly and helpful. Friend's child lost his favourite hat there and we rang on return home hoping it was there - they took our number and checked but nothing then. Said would ring if it turned up - which it did in the evening and they rang me to say it was found. Having told friend she told son who had been so so upset and was then smiling. What a result - picked it up today and absolutely thrilled to get it back. A HUGE thank you to Sarah who handled it for us - all team friendly and nothing too much problem. Will be back again - this time to eat !! Thanks again

We went today for Sunday lunch and had a very enjoyable experience, Sarah who served us did a great job, and we had the lamb rump roast which was very tasty snd the lemon tart for desert was extremely good too.

If you like sitting by the river, better to sit on the bench. Don't come here. Food was awful. Dried out, burnt flavour, complain and get the same item with added water.. drinks also are sub standard.

I am very disappointed, three of the things I wanted to eat were already gone, the beer glass was dirty and I had to ask for a clean one, the bread on my son's burger was dry and crumbly and the meat was dry too. Also the beer was hot

Best food ever, prices are on the expensive side but it's not too bad, the food is well worth every penny and the service is amazing, the atmosphere outside is peak and it's just such a beautiful view of the river, it's a must to come here

The service was absolutely superb, our waitress Livy was fantastic and so welcoming. The food and drinks are great value and very competitively priced for the area, also very tasty. A wonderful experience we will be back soon.

Nice pub on the river and service very fast from the app, scannable on the table. Unfortunately I could not recommend the chicken, babon bits and avocado salade. The bacon was 2 pieces of rubbery tough cold chicken. You had to dig around for the small pieces of bacon and the avacado want exactly in abundance. The chap I was with wasn't too impressed with his salade either, so maybe one of the normal pub dishes would have been a better bet. In fairness, some of the meals we saw neing delivered, looked delicious.

The cost of the food is high in comparison to its quality. The service provided by the staff is inconsistent, with some being exceptionally friendly and helpful while others provide only the minimum required service. The establishment is suitable for casual drinks and light snacks, but the main courses are not worth the price in my opinion. Desserts are priced at £7 or more, and cocktails are typically £9.

Was a really hot day and the beer garden was nice. Food was really tasty, and we enjoyed it! Table was a bit dirty and the table number needed re printing and laminating as it was a bit worse for wear! Nice setting and good food!

Just had the Lamb Rump with a Mini Lamb Pie and it was one of the tastiest meals I’ve had. It was incredibly busy all the staff were working flat out yet still managed superbly with smiles on their faces especially the young lady who cleared my table (24) sorry I didn’t get her name

How disappointing! We walked a few miles having planned for a while to have lunch here whilst in the area. We were drawn in by the Vintage Inn’s introductory offer which didn’t happen as we were told we couldn’t have a tab outside and we had to spend over £40 so the first drinks would not go in the invoice. The email offering a bottle of Prosecco for my husbands birthday would not load the voucher when it came to it! The salad I had was underwhelming to say the least, the chicken was dry and hard round the edges, my husbands steak sandwich was also pretty tasteless and underwhelming. Shame, won’t be back!!

Good friendly service, good menu, and fair prices. Very busy when we visited, because of the good weather. Meal was good, bit of a hiccup with dirty and cracked glasses for water but resolved quickly.

We booked for Sunday lunch at 6.30 and were sent a text at 6pm that they had run out of Sunday roasts. We have had good meals there and decided to.have the steak pie which was nice but the vegetables were inedible. My daughter had a steak asked for medium but got an.over done steak and cold vegetables. We started to wonder if they actually had a chef that day. We did not want to make a fuss but am certainly.reluctant to go back.

Great place for a walk & a lovely meal!! Great service, tasty food & good selection of drinks! We visited just as people seemed to be finishing work & popping in foe a meal & drink before going home!

We found The Thames Court through a Google search while on a mini break to Hampton Court Palace. The food and service was without fault, generous servings of tasty food, served hot. Nothing was too much trouble for our waiter Josh who really did believe in service with a smile. The menu was very varied and had some tempting choices. In addition the Thames Court was in the very pleasurable area of Shepperton Lock.

Through we would go back for a change as we have not been there for a while as I have been in hospital this year this was Thurs 4th July sat outside as it was a bit windy but sunny ordered our meals & drinks I had cheesy mac& side chips mum had garlic mushrooms &chips the wife had chicken & vegetable curry mine was about an inch thick of cheesy mac I was supposed to of had a garlic slice that did not arrive I had to mention it to the waiter too which he gave me a rebate mums hardly had any taste the wife's rice was hard overall the standard has dropped since we last went there will not be going back unless the standards improved this meal cost £49 had to get the sauses my self I would of thought all this would of been on the table the table needed a good clean it felt dusty so please take note

Ok food, the brisket burger was good but the bun was really crunchy! great view over the water definitely a summer venue! Fairly priced for a Surrey Gastro Pub. Easy to order at the table as has QR codes for food and drink. Staff were top notch!

Don't go, waste of your hard earned money. Bad experience all round. On arrival, no one to greet you when you have booked a table or seem bothered about you standing there. Ordered the lamb, 5 minutes later was told it wasn't available, ordered a steak instead. The food arrived 10 minutes later before we had even got our drinks, the waitress later came over and took out drinks order again before realising and walking off. My steak was stone cold it went back to the kitchen and came back warm but later discovered it was still stone cold and completely raw in the middle and caused me stomach pain for the rest of the evening. And the 'side salad' was some wilted leaves ans 5 tomatos, £25! The mushrooms as a side were sparse and the top burnt to a crisp. I would have loved to complain at the time but the waitress didnt even ask how our food was just took it away then charged me for both the lamb and the steak for the pleasure! Very poor, wouldn't eat there again if it was free.

Had an excellent dinner for a large group of us. Josh our server was great, really friendly and coped very well with a big group. Nothing was too much trouble. The young lady who was the new manager was also excellent - she has a super manner and will go far!

Fabulous location next to the River Thames and we were fortunate enough to eat outside on a warm summer evening. The good, however, was variable. Three of us had the mushroom in cheese to start and found it under-seasoned. My main course was overcooked and dry (how can you go wrong with roast potatoes?) but the burgers and another fish dish were declared to be good by others.

Food, standard pub grub.okay but nothing to write home about.

Menu description did not represent food delivered, a salad garnish consisted of a couple of pieces of wilted lettuce served on a hot plate, and the chicken was so overcooked it actually bounced on the table (totally inedible). Who ever is responsible for the kitchen needs to take a serious look at the quality of food before it leaves the kitchen. Total discrace.

Thames court is a lovely old manor house pub full of character set on the banks of the Thames. The pub is very large with a beer garden at the front over looking the river with seating and umbrellas (with heating if it's a bit chilly). The carpark at the side and rear mean it's easy to park. Food is good and reasonably priced with a fixed price option between 5 and 8pm. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly, ideal for a quite drink or a full meal with friends or family. Be warned the pub is very popular and on sunny days it will overflow onto the river banks. First visit to the pub on a work day lunch; I was surprised how busy the outside seating area was (especially for a Thursday). Food was still quick and tasty.
