Over the years we have come to this restaurant on and off and have see it go downhill , wait times quality of food and service. But we decided to try again after a long time. Sadly the outside area quite run down and dirty. Service was very good but my husband got a prawn cocktail instead of prawns and chorizo !! We weren’t the only ones as we did hear people complain of wrong order and quality of food. That wasn’t our issue as the food was quite good, but I ordered pate with bread snd recieved one tiny piece of bread and a good slice of pate, so I asked for more bread and was told we would have to pay extra for it !!! I couldn’t believe it , I had only been out a few days before with friends and we got extra free bread . though the pate was quite nice it wasn’t home made and needed something with it. So once again we won’t be eating there again as they really need to up their game. Over the past ten years this restaurant has sadly gone downhill as it has a neglected feel to it.

Great setting by the river Thames Over from Long Island New York my brother liver near by. So had a nice meals food was good standard for pub food no complaints what so ever Sat at the same table outside on a Monday and Thursday all good but I wonder why they can’t clean the area of cigarettes ends of the patio floor I took and phone on Monday and Thursday not been cleaned. This is letting you down , only need to buy a leaf blower to get rid of the trash . Will be back in 2 weeks and I will sit at the same table let’s see if it gets cleaned up

Oh such a shame , we used to love coming here for Sunday lunch but will not be back😔 Sunday lunch was served nearly cold and potatoes inedible. Think Yorkshire's were not made fresh either ! No broccoli in veg as described. But the meat was good quality. Nobody bothered to ask how our meals were - now we know why. Agree with previous reviews re the cleanliness . Tables not wiped down, and patio area very scruffy : tables fraying , litter and used cigarette ends everywhere , obviously not swept or cleaned regularly. The disabled toilet in dire need of redecoration . Staff were also throwing used bottles into the bin behind us really loudly , they did not look happy! Management : really hope you do something about this as it’s so sad such a lovely place gone down so much.

Great location, love the inside and out. Didnt eat on this occasion as young kids were not very hungry for a change so just had drinks. Staff so friendly and helpful. Friend's child lost his favourite hat there and we rang on return home hoping it was there - they took our number and checked but nothing then. Said would ring if it turned up - which it did in the evening and they rang me to say it was found. Having told friend she told son who had been so so upset and was then smiling. What a result - picked it up today and absolutely thrilled to get it back. A HUGE thank you to Sarah who handled it for us - all team friendly and nothing too much problem. Will be back again - this time to eat !! Thanks again

Lovely location for a pub it’s just a shame that the food is pretty rubbish and expensive rubbish at that. Meat was over cooked and under seasoned. Do not recommend

The service was absolutely superb, our waitress Livy was fantastic and so welcoming. The food and drinks are great value and very competitively priced for the area, also very tasty. A wonderful experience we will be back soon.

Nice pub on the river and service very fast from the app, scannable on the table. Unfortunately I could not recommend the chicken, babon bits and avocado salade. The bacon was 2 pieces of rubbery tough cold chicken. You had to dig around for the small pieces of bacon and the avacado want exactly in abundance. The chap I was with wasn't too impressed with his salade either, so maybe one of the normal pub dishes would have been a better bet. In fairness, some of the meals we saw neing delivered, looked delicious.

The cost of the food is high in comparison to its quality. The service provided by the staff is inconsistent, with some being exceptionally friendly and helpful while others provide only the minimum required service. The establishment is suitable for casual drinks and light snacks, but the main courses are not worth the price in my opinion. Desserts are priced at £7 or more, and cocktails are typically £9.

Good friendly service, good menu, and fair prices. Very busy when we visited, because of the good weather. Meal was good, bit of a hiccup with dirty and cracked glasses for water but resolved quickly.

Was a really hot day and the beer garden was nice. Food was really tasty, and we enjoyed it! Table was a bit dirty and the table number needed re printing and laminating as it was a bit worse for wear! Nice setting and good food!

Just had the Lamb Rump with a Mini Lamb Pie and it was one of the tastiest meals I’ve had. It was incredibly busy all the staff were working flat out yet still managed superbly with smiles on their faces especially the young lady who cleared my table (24) sorry I didn’t get her name

How disappointing! We walked a few miles having planned for a while to have lunch here whilst in the area. We were drawn in by the Vintage Inn’s introductory offer which didn’t happen as we were told we couldn’t have a tab outside and we had to spend over £40 so the first drinks would not go in the invoice. The email offering a bottle of Prosecco for my husbands birthday would not load the voucher when it came to it! The salad I had was underwhelming to say the least, the chicken was dry and hard round the edges, my husbands steak sandwich was also pretty tasteless and underwhelming. Shame, won’t be back!!

Stopped here with friends on the way downriver. I did have something to eat, and it was good - pub style. Nice beer garden by the river.

Party of 6, arrived 13.20 infd could not order until 1400, waited, food arrived 14.35, my curry was inedible, replaced with fish and chips no offer of reimbursement , slapped on plate presentation of food, seated outside, floor beneath outside tables dirty,

Dog friendly which is great and food was great

We booked for Sunday lunch at 6.30 and were sent a text at 6pm that they had run out of Sunday roasts. We have had good meals there and decided to.have the steak pie which was nice but the vegetables were inedible. My daughter had a steak asked for medium but got an.over done steak and cold vegetables. We started to wonder if they actually had a chef that day. We did not want to make a fuss but am certainly.reluctant to go back.

We found The Thames Court through a Google search while on a mini break to Hampton Court Palace. The food and service was without fault, generous servings of tasty food, served hot. Nothing was too much trouble for our waiter Josh who really did believe in service with a smile. The menu was very varied and had some tempting choices. In addition the Thames Court was in the very pleasurable area of Shepperton Lock.

Great place for a walk & a lovely meal!! Great service, tasty food & good selection of drinks! We visited just as people seemed to be finishing work & popping in foe a meal & drink before going home!

Through we would go back for a change as we have not been there for a while as I have been in hospital this year this was Thurs 4th July sat outside as it was a bit windy but sunny ordered our meals & drinks I had cheesy mac& side chips mum had garlic mushrooms &chips the wife had chicken & vegetable curry mine was about an inch thick of cheesy mac I was supposed to of had a garlic slice that did not arrive I had to mention it to the waiter too which he gave me a rebate mums hardly had any taste the wife's rice was hard overall the standard has dropped since we last went there will not be going back unless the standards improved this meal cost £49 had to get the sauses my self I would of thought all this would of been on the table the table needed a good clean it felt dusty so please take note

Love this place. Huge beer garden and nice pub grub. Great place to relax outdoors in summer and lovely warmth from the log fire in winter Update. Came for lunch on a Wednesday and the pub was packed. Service was on par though, attentive and friendly. Thank you Vanusa!

Don't go, waste of your hard earned money. Bad experience all round. On arrival, no one to greet you when you have booked a table or seem bothered about you standing there. Ordered the lamb, 5 minutes later was told it wasn't available, ordered a steak instead. The food arrived 10 minutes later before we had even got our drinks, the waitress later came over and took out drinks order again before realising and walking off. My steak was stone cold it went back to the kitchen and came back warm but later discovered it was still stone cold and completely raw in the middle and caused me stomach pain for the rest of the evening. And the 'side salad' was some wilted leaves ans 5 tomatos, £25! The mushrooms as a side were sparse and the top burnt to a crisp. I would have loved to complain at the time but the waitress didnt even ask how our food was just took it away then charged me for both the lamb and the steak for the pleasure! Very poor, wouldn't eat there again if it was free.

Ok food, the brisket burger was good but the bun was really crunchy! great view over the water definitely a summer venue! Fairly priced for a Surrey Gastro Pub. Easy to order at the table as has QR codes for food and drink. Staff were top notch!

Fabulous location next to the River Thames and we were fortunate enough to eat outside on a warm summer evening. The good, however, was variable. Three of us had the mushroom in cheese to start and found it under-seasoned. My main course was overcooked and dry (how can you go wrong with roast potatoes?) but the burgers and another fish dish were declared to be good by others.

Had an excellent dinner for a large group of us. Josh our server was great, really friendly and coped very well with a big group. Nothing was too much trouble. The young lady who was the new manager was also excellent - she has a super manner and will go far!

Menu description did not represent food delivered, a salad garnish consisted of a couple of pieces of wilted lettuce served on a hot plate, and the chicken was so overcooked it actually bounced on the table (totally inedible). Who ever is responsible for the kitchen needs to take a serious look at the quality of food before it leaves the kitchen. Total discrace.

Thames court is a lovely old manor house pub full of character set on the banks of the Thames. The pub is very large with a beer garden at the front over looking the river with seating and umbrellas (with heating if it's a bit chilly). The carpark at the side and rear mean it's easy to park. Food is good and reasonably priced with a fixed price option between 5 and 8pm. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly, ideal for a quite drink or a full meal with friends or family. Be warned the pub is very popular and on sunny days it will overflow onto the river banks. First visit to the pub on a work day lunch; I was surprised how busy the outside seating area was (especially for a Thursday). Food was still quick and tasty.

Lovely pub, riverside, dog friendly section, enjoyable walk from Chertsey Bridge. Food was good but the service was slow and poor on the night we were there, though still friendly. Felt understaffed. We will try it again.

It’s so outdated, especially the ladies toilet area, it’s awful and it’s been like that for at least 15+ years. You couldn’t dry your hands. The food itself was poor, tasteless and some of it overcooked. I wouldn’t go there again, not even for a drink.

Staff were very un attentive and service was slow. One girl was the only one serving with any attention and others seemed too busy chatting to pay attention to other guest. Food was over cooked and dry. The vegetables accompanying my fishcakes looked like they had been over nuked in the microwave and were also very sparce. My daughters burger had over done onion rings and chips which were unbearably hard and inedible.

Great location. Lovely view. One single shot of espresso will set you back by £3. And the service will not be with a smile!Coffee test worse than in Wetherspoons. So grab yourself a very expensive pint with a view. Don't try ordering anything else!

This is a great place for a sunny day outside. I would definitely avoid the food if I were to go again. Portions were small, overcooked and dry. Plus note about this time place is that there is plenty parking with a nice view

The staff were lovely. Sadly the food was dreadful. Small portions, obviously heated from frozen and low quality. Could have taken my eye out on the shard of garlic bread. Don't eat here!

The outside seating is amazing. Service and food good also. It’s a firm favourite all year round.

We ordered for a MANGO & PASSION FRUIT ETON . Which was supposed to be a Crisp meringue with whipped cream, tropical mango, passionfruit coulis and white chocolate BUT IT WAS NOT AT ALL. ONLY WHIPPED CREAM THREE PIECES OF MANGO (frozen) NO MERINGUE… WE WERE 3 PEOPLE ORDERING THE SAME PUDDING AND ALL 3 PUDDINGS WERE EQUALLY BAD. The rest of the food was quite mediocre and not hot enough… the place is lovely looking over the river at least … nice on a sunny day

Shame they let dogs eat off the tables

We went with the family and had a booking. We'd been allocated a window table which we were happy with. They had a high chair for baby which was mostly clean. There was a fair wait for our order to be taken during which we went to change baby. The changing table was in the disabled toilet and dirty with brown specks which wiped away with out wet wipes, the toilet also smelt bad. Not a great environment to have baby in. I wish I'd taken antibacterial wipes. The wait for food wasn't long. When it came chips and onion rings weren't very warm. When the waitress came to check my dad mentioned the onion rings and she kindly gave us a fresh bowl. I'd swapped fries for chips with my burger but it came with fries and which was also changed for us. The triple cooked chips I expected to be hot and crispy but they were dry and disappointing. The burger was dry with no sauce or cheese (there was supposed to be some violife cheese in it but I didn't realise until later). Mac and cheese was good but the portion was small. Calamari was dry and hard. Aubergine gratin was tasty. Beetroot aranchini was good but a small portion of three for almost £8. Overall I'd say food was disappointing, service was good, we were asked whether everything was OK quite soon and with dealing with baby too couldn't be bothered to follow up and potentially wait again for things to be redone. Also the fish and chips and pie of the day had finished so that was a shame too.

Lovely location. I have just had a margarita pizza so I can't comment on how good the rest of the menu is but the pizza was burnt, so not great. Friendly staff.

Really nice place to have a drink and something to eat. We found the food really good and tasty, although the potato's could have been crispy. I asked to reserve a table overlooking the river and the table reserved was not really that and so we chose another with a better view but was not really what we had in mind but can appreciate that other people may have booked before us.

Have visited on several occasions. This visit was for my birthday and we were very disappointed. Previous visits food has been delicious but today was not the case. It was obvious food had been sitting on a hit plate for sometime. Chicken burger was dry and over cooked and chips not crispy but soggy and not warm. Daughter had a steak that was meant to be medium rare but over done. The dressing fir my butter chicken burger was one gherkin on the side of the plate. Based on this experience we will not be returning. We didn't make a fuss ad it would of spoilt my birthday.

Toilet Disgusting, and the outside of the building needs renovating. Such a shame as it is in a great location.

Cute pub, food was average. Service was slow on the day and they didn't seem busy. Not much vegetarian options unfortunately but where are vege dishes, they are clearly labelled.

We only stopped for a drink as we were walking the dogs along the river. Staff were very friendly and gave us a bowl of water and some treats for our dogs. Really lovely setting down by the river. I would like to go back some day for lunch or dinner.

We visited the Thames Court 3 or so years ago and not been back until today as we weren’t impressed. However we were told it had improved. Sadly it’s worse now. There were 8 of us. The starters were as expected but then it all went wrong. 4 of our meals arrived cold one was a tai chicken curry but no chicken. The 6th was fish and chips chips were cold and there was more batter than fish. Two of the remaking meals were barely warm and the last meal arrived when the rest of us had finished. The waitress Sydney was very apologetic. When it came to pay the manager said we could only have a staff discount and they added a tip to the total. So 8 people very poor food and £180 plus bill. Not impressed.

The food is good quality and well cooked. The atmosphere is always lovely. The setting is appealing. The facilities are clean and tidy. The service was faultless.

Staff very welcoming and we were offered any table we wanted in the dining room. Our server was very proactive and organised drinks straight away. The set menu was selected- great choices, particularly the small pud with hot drink! Overall, excellent service and very good value for money.
