Nice pub with some nice food. The hot chocolate in particular was lovely, which is rare from a pub. The staff accommodated us moving from outside to inside since it was chillier than we expected, and the outdoor heaters struggled to match the evening chill.

I just love visiting this place, not as often as I would like to but worth it when I do. The atmosphere the staff from front house to kitchen so polite and accommodating, would definitely recommend to all

Recently visited the Kingfisher as we were camping close by. Had a fantastic meal and a few drinks - the roast pork belly was particularly good! The pub is in a lovely setting and the majority of the staff were welcoming and friendly. Will be back!

An Absolute Delight – A Must-Visit! I recently had the pleasure of dining at the kingfisher and it was nothing short of fantastic.

Ever since we’ve lived in Chertsey, the Kingfisher has always been our pub of choice. It has a lovely ambiance inside, and this is helped incredibly by the lovely and welcoming staff - specifically Alice! Every time we come here, either by ourselves or with our young daughter, she always has a smile on her face and is so warm and supportive; you don’t get customer service like that and therefore she should be massively commended on it. Furthermore, the food here is amazing and is miles above the “other pub” over the bridge; there’s a reason why they’re fully booked every weekend and Sunday, but even still during a weekday their food is above exceptional. Personally, I think there is a great beer selection on tap and my mrs tells me that the wine selection is great too. An amazing pub to enjoy by the river in the summer, or a warm, secluded retreat to sit by the fire in the colder months.

I was having a small gathering after my Fathers funeral, the organising was so helpful, the suggested a little area that is cordoned off from the main restaurant. Great selection of food from a couple of menus all cooked and presented nicely. Staff were also very pleasant and organised.

Outrageous pricing . Just paid £7.80 for a pint of Camden pale ale. Yes you read it right nearly £8.00 for a pint. Yes the pub is by the river, yes it has a nice atmosphere but the pricing policy is outrageous. When I got home I googled what should be the average price for a pint of this ale £6.50. ????? I will not be going back to eat or drink in this place. No wonder pubs are going under they are out[pricing everything.

Impromptu late Sunday lunch. Unfortunate sewage smell between car park and restaurant didn’t augur well. Riverside seating not ideal as on crossroads of busy road but indoor decor charming. Was busy so can forgive the impersonal service. Food was the real disappointment. Scallop starter for £12 had split sauce which looked like cat sick, scallops undercooked and bacon over cooked. Squid starter bland and overcooked for £8. Roast beef decent enough but had to ask for more “bottomless” gravy as initial amount paltry. Ribeye very poor: cheap cut, veiny, undercooked and cold (butter on top cdnt melt). Chips were greasy and looked reheated rather than freshly fried. Bernaise sauce also split. Dessert was a chocolate bombe…sauce lukewarm so no melting at all and contents were not at all tasty (like a miniature left over Easter egg). Overall a disaster for £120+ for two starters and mains, a dessert and three drinks. Nice enough place aesthetically, but why on earth try to do anything more advanced than a roast and fish’ n’ chips. And if you forget to register your car yourself you get stung with a nasty fine.

Had a fantastic meal — the food was excellent and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Alice, our wonderful waitress, who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Nice pub not much choice on the menu. But what the have looks very tasty.

Lady serving at bar had no interest in serving me. Asked if they had bottled cider and told in fridge down the other end of bar. I walked down to look over bar top to see, she didn't follow me to assist even though she was not doing anything, I had to walk back round to her and ask again for help with purchasing. Looked like a welcoming place from the outside, sadly experience will not encourage me to return.

We found this pub/restaurant online as it’s over the river from the caravan park we’re staying at when visiting family based in London. Booked online which was so easy and it was a 5 minute walk over the 240 year old bridge. We were given a very warm welcome by Alex who treated us like old friends not new visitors and she was our server for the evening. We couldn’t have asked for more, she interacted with us in a very friendly and extremely professional way. The menu was varied to suit all tastes and after ordering wine to compliment our choice, we had a really enjoyable dining experience. The food was excellent and competitively priced, harissa coated lamb, cheddar pie, surf and turf and dirty burger all finished with not a crumb left. The children’s menu also had a variety of choice with grilled chicken demolished but our grandson. The dessert menu was fab too with various options for full on desserts or mini versions with coffee or cocktails to finish off the evening. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill which included a service charge which we were more than happy to pay. Whether a visitor or a local, friends or family or looking for an extra special place for a special occasion make a booking, you will have an amazing time. Thanks must go to Alex who made our family occasion so special. We will definitely be back soon.

Me and partner haven't been here for a while . the weather was very nice so we came down and we are glad we did as we had great service from the all the team especially liana.

Friend met for dinner and non alcoholic drinks. Used voucher last time and realised how expensive it has gone. Service was decent. Drinks ok but pricey all non alcoholic. Food was ok, chips over cooked, fish didn't seem as fresh as usual, stuck all to the batter. Not alot of duck in the salad. The tagliatelle was the best out of the four. Will perhaps choose another venue next time unless one of us have a voucher for discount.

The experience here today was absolutely fabulous! Alice was our host and she was so accommodating, personal and great at their job ✨️ I will definitely be coming back again soon. Thank you Alice!

Had a lovely meal here with my family last night. The service was good and there was a pleasant atmosphere. As we were leaving, there was a lady who had had too much to drink and was pretty incoherent. The manager was really kind, sitting her down with some water and arranging for a cab to be called for her. It was lovely to see, the world needs more kindness.

We booked our wedding meal at The Kingfisher in 2024 and from then to our special day this weekend, Isaac and Alice and the team were so helpful. Our party was for 37 people, 2 kids, and we all enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal, served hot, no glitches, nothing missed and by great staff. Everyone commented how lovely it was, and having the use of the panelled room at the back and the patio in the sun was perfect. We had the best time and so happy we choose this venue. Well done to Isaac for everything he did to pull this off, set up the room and get us all served. Happiest of days. A triumph of teamwork! Elaine and Ian

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an outstanding experience with Aaron regarding my penalty from Euro Car Parks. I was quite anxious about the situation, but Aaron handled everything with remarkable efficiency. Within just a few hours, he managed to get my penalty suspended, which was truly impressive. His prompt support and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier to handle.

Never experienced such rude and obnoxious staff. Totally uninterested in our table of 7. I’m vegan and asked if the kitchen was able to accommodate was told vet abruptly “No”. Staff not interested in providing any customer service whatsoever. Would advise anyone else to avoid this establishment. I definitely will not be returning.

You go out for a family meal (which was great) then as you get the bill they hit you with VAT which should be included on menu prices as is every other food establishment

The kingfisher is one of my favourite places to eat, the food is always beautiful. I have never had an issue for all the times I have been to eat here. Booked a table for 4 of us. When arrived we waited for a little while to be seated. I asked a member of the bar staff if there was anyone around to book us in, to which she said "they won't be long" then said to a customer she was serving "she clearly can't see we are busy" I was not asking her to stop what she was doing to come and see to us, I just simply asked if there was anyone to check us in as would of found somewhere to sit in the bar while we waited. I understand that at times it can get busy behind the bar but there was no need for the rude comment and to speak about one customer to another is not acceptable.

Ash the waiter extortioner being incredible with the drinks all night long made for an amazing evening and the meal great staff are brilliant would defo come back what a great evening thank you kingfisher!!!

Very friendly and professional staff, very interesting and a wide range of menu choices all perfectly prepared and all delicious, mini desserts a great idea and rounded-off our lunch perfectly. Everyone in our group aged from 8 to 80 years were thoroughly delighted with our meals and so comfortable in the restaurant where a very pleadamt atmosphere is maintained - thank-you. All dishes were delicious and the menu included some imaginative and relatively unusual but very interesting items - a very pleasantly imaginative selection. My octopus starter was delicious followed by perfectly prepared lamb shank then a mini white chocolate crème brulée and capuccino. Our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren were introduced to scallops and adored them (they enjoyed their pizza and pasta followed by ice creams too). Particular thanks to Molly and her colleague who very kindly made our youngest "babychino" - many thanks all.

Had a lovely meal in the Kingfisher in Chertsey this week. Great food - both had lamb. Was exceptionally looked after by Tianne. (Not the first time!) Hopefully one day they will give her own pub to run!

Had the pork belly. It came with one carrot. We spent 150.00 and the portions were very poor.

Nice pub and friendly staff. We order beef and blade of beef for Sunday late lunch. Very, very tough meat. I couldn't eat the blad of beef. I don't think freshly cooked but cooked, frozen, defrosted then reheated. One piece you couldn't actually cut through. I did receive a refund for my meal though.

Really beautiful pub with a cutesy old world rustic feel. Lovely food and staff who can’t do enough. Had a wonderful pork belly with perfect crackling. There is a wonderful indoor fire that kept us all lovely and warm as it is Jan. lovely decor and mostly accessible. Main toilets on first floor but there is an accessible bathroom on ground.

A really nice meal in a great pub/restaurant only 5 minutes from the Caravan and Camping club site.

First time had lunch at this restaurant and probably won’t come back. The lady who took and served our orders seemed to be not in a good mood? Didn’t smile at all and looking grumpy. I had a seafood linguine and I would say it’s 5/10.

Very popular restaurant and bar. Nice food and staff. We meet here regularly and would advise booking in advance. They have vegan and veggie options on the menu and some lovely non-alcoholic cocktails.
