Always love coming here. Warm welcome, lovely staff and really good food. The atmosphere is always buzzy and you never leave hungry!

Food not that great,My wife had yhe steak pie,A lot of it was chewy grisel, Expensive as well.Staff were great though. Very good.

Here for Sunday lunch ( Again), we both had the duo of beef roast . Delicious as always , great lunch , the gravy amazing. We also shared the trio of desserts, outstanding. Also we were looked after by the lovely Grace , just perfect .

Roast without veg unless you count parsnips and 3 roast potatoes. Sirloin tough. Very disappointing. Fish and chips described by my partner as not very nice. Rioja was not of good quality although very expensive.. staff disinterested apart from one barmaid. Tables left with dirty dishes, music too loud. Expensive mistake......Avoid

Late afternoon, so quite quiet. Food good, but I would have like a few more veg and cooked a bit longer. 4/5 beans and 3 long stem broccoli, bit too crunchy

Came for lunch for a friends birthday, first visit and we had such a lovely time The atmosphere was really nice, staff were very friendly, our waitress called Anaiya was kind, friendly and was very helpful with my friends intolerance - she even checked with the kitchen- amazing! The food was perfect, I had a starter of goats cheese with poached beetroot and poached pear in a blackcurrant jus - so light and tasted amazing and for main I had the fish and chips - battered was crispy, fish lovely and soft, chips were crunchy and the peas were minty - thank you and we will be back

We firstly requested a drink off the soft drink menu for an under 18 year old and got told that we were not able to have this as it promotes under age drinking, (we asked for a passion fruit and blood orange soda). Our server then informed us that it wasn't her or the restaurants management's rules, and that it was the company policy. She then said that if this was her choice she would serve the drink to us. The server then become overly defensive. During our ordering of our main course, our server offered to exchange the peas on a meal for vegetables which we were charged for without our knowledge, as well as this we were billed £2.50 for no more than a desert spoon of peppercorn sauce. At the end of our dinner we asked her for the bill where we waited for 15 minutes to receive no bill. We then went up to the counter to request the bill again, where our server then avoided contact with us whilst we paid for the meal with a different server. This made us feel unwelcome.

Starters were good, sea bass and roast fine. 2 fillet steaks ordered were badly cooked and inedible. Most of meat taken home for dog. Not what you expect for most expensive item on menu

Went for Sunday lunch with friends a few weeks ago. The roast beef was delicious & they didn't scrimp on the gravy when we asked for more! Served by Luca who was helpful & funny.

A meal for two for my boyfriend on a Wednesday for his birthday, it was busier than expected and we hadn't booked. They found us a table in no time. The food was generous and delicious. My boyfriend said it was like a nice pub with restaurant food 😀. Would definitely visit again.

I go to the Kingfisher probably once per year only because we don't live super close and every time I go, I think "I need to come here more often". Today was no different. All staff were welcoming and smiling. Food was delicious. Drinks choice was great. Venue is clean & welcoming. Toilets are clean. I really couldn't fault it. So nice to go somewhere faultless! Well done Kingfisher team and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Comfortable lovely environment Bit pricey. Service is wonderful. Only got a 4* overall as we were sitting between the kitchen and the bathroom entrance, so it was extremely busy and chilly with the staff wizzing by. If we were anywhere else, im fairly certain it would have been a 5

Lovely Sunday roast today, brilliant service from Anaiya, great pub!

I've been to the Kingfisher a number of times in the past, but my visit yesterday was really disappointing. Our waitress was sullen and unfriendly, 3 of the dishes we chose had sold out, and when the food arrived the presentation was poor and portion sizes were stingy. I'm hoping this was just a blip, as I've always been impressed in the past.

We hadn't booked and fancied a birthday dinner locally. We were able to get a table at 8pm on a warm Friday night in August. The food and cocktails were delicious, the atmosphere really nice and server was do lovely. We really enjoyed our visit and won't hesitate to recommend and visit again! We were really looked after by our friendly waitress Anaiya who was genuine, friendly and helpful. I had steak and my husband had fish and chips. The portions were generous and really tasty. The chocolate bomb dessert was fabulous! The only thing I would change is if I was to visit with my 78 year old Mum which I hope to do in September, is to turn the music down slightly.

Nice place by the river. Staff were slow. £6.50 for a pint is ridiculous hence the low rating. Didn't eat the food so can't give a rating.

Bad given menu but not told what was off menu until went to order first choice not available second would take approximately 25 minutes when other diners dished about 10 so no option but to go for salad unable to identify most of what was in it asa mush at bottom of plate When it came to dessert mini one was half portion on what looked like original dish and could not guarantee decaf coffee would not have traces of caffeine in as made in same machine Very disappointing especially as a birthday meal and pub chosen on recommendation I would not recommend

I visited with my wife, lovely place. Molly, our waitress, was very attentive and served us perfectly. Chicken burger was delicious, and a great selection of beers.

Cate was the most helpful, friendly waitress that served us. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our evening. 5 star all round

We booked a couple of hours in advance online, when we arrived the host said she didn’t have the staff to accommodate us, it’s been a really busy day and she’d like to go home so please be as quick as we can, she said we could sit outside but we’d have to pull tables together ourselves, starters were brought over we then had to get our own cutlery which was empty, the food was mediocre and overpriced, I’ve eaten better chicken burgers from a supermarket and they were very over done and dark, it’s a lovely pub and the atmosphere is great, but management doesn’t seem to be, it was one of the warmest days of the year, the pub was quite lively when we arrived and there was no labour to be able to serve us? Poor planning. We’ve never felt so unwelcome upon arriving for a meal out, especially a meal out celebrating a friend’s birthday. Disappointed is an understatement.

Good value food, service excellent, lovely ambience

I was very disappointed with my visit. There is no service, you order ourself. Food was so small, I had steak sendwitch, I could barely seen meat. The smallest piece I have ever seen. I seen this place always so busy, but I will not bother to come back. You have 2 of those squares, bread is massive, but nothing in there. This wasent just good.

There's a lot of parking space, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and although it's busy, the service isn't bad. I highly recommend the Lamb menu. The pork belly menu is not recommended.

When I say 11/10 I mean it, the pork belly with scallops was amazing, words can’t describe how great it was. Highly recommend to everyone.

Visited last week with my uncle who was over from America, food was fabulous & the service was unmatched, Ella with the long red hair was Amazing, nothing was too much and was always checking we were okay and checking if we needed anything, he had a lovely time visiting from the US.

We stopped here for a meal prior to me being dropped off at Heathrow airport, for which its riverside location is perfect. The pub is beautifully decorated and the staff were warm and happy to assist with questions about the menu. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty, delivered hot and in good time. We will certainly be visiting again.

A bit slow starting to even get water, on hottest day of year. Drinks arrived before water.

Visited the restaurant on the 17/07 as my early birthday treat. Did not feel welcome, there was no wow factor in anything especially when you are charging so much. It was very quiet one other table other than us and 2/3 drinkers outside. It took 10/15 mins for someone to come over and ask if we wanted any drinks, the drinks took a while to arrive. I had to find someone to order food as my 15 month old baby was getting frustrated. I have ordered from the lunch menu I had the squid and steak sandwich, my partner had sticky chicken and linguine, my son had sausage and mash. the squid was chewy the chicken my partner has was nice but nothing special for the asking price. My steak in the sandwich did not taste or smell fresh, it was sour and you could tell i could tell it was spoiled. I have been a head chef for 12 years. There was no one around to speak to about this matter my son didn’t want to eat his food neither. My partner’s linguine did smell too fishy and the prawns did look raw. After we got up and we’re about to leave a lady walked past us my partner got get attention and asked for the bill which came up to just under £100. When we left there were staff members standing and talking amongst themselves when we said thank you goodbye we got ignored. This was a very unpleasant experience. I have spent all my night in the toilet. My sons belly is not looking too good either and now my partner stated his stomach is turning and hurting. I am so disappointed as it was my birthday treat and spending £100 for a meal out for a small family where there is only one provider it is a lot only to end up regretting it so much. We have heard all good reviews about the place so I thought I would choose it however I am really paying for it today.

Pub is nice enough. We stopped for a drink so can't comment on food, but what we saw looked good. Service not 1st class, we sat with previous customers empty coffee cups on our table for a few hours. But that wouldn't stop us using the Kingfisher

Fantastic delicious meal. Service was exemplary. Mia the waitress was excellent she constantly made sure we had everything we needed with a lovely smile and very friendly disposition.

We had my birthday with family on 28th June at the Kingfisher . Harry and his team were so attentive and provided a great choice of food . Nothing was too difficult with the service . The quality of food was excellent and we had a great view looking towards the river . A great birthday treat .

Harry served us food and drinks made us giggle, Harry was amazing will defo return just because of Harry best evening out ever !!! Go Harry 🥂

I had an amazing Sunday lunch at the Kingfisher with some friends and my little boy. They accommodated my son’s allergies very easily and all our food was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient! We’ll be back again soon for sure.

Great Roast Dinner on Fathers Day. Service by Molly and Luca was great. All of the food was perfectly presented. Nothing was too much trouble.

Came here for an evening meal with my partner the food was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection and the team were lovely and friendly . Sat outside with a lovely view of the river Thames. Cannot recommend highly enough . Would definitely return . Recommend the baked camembert as a sharing starter it was top notch the fresh dough twists were lovely and the plum ketchup was fantastic . The pork and scallops were brilliant and the chicken was outstanding. Thanks guys for a brilliant meal.

Lots of staff but all talking to each other about social events they having and customers leaving their tables to get their own drinks. Food was poor. Over charged and excuse was feeble. Just plan poor

Having previously last visited in 2020 upon return to the area I made sure to visit again as the food was exceptional last time. This visit was less so. Upon arriving there was nowhere to park except an electric bay, which I was later made to move from but again, no other spaces available. I ordered a steak pie, which was delicious but unfortunately had a grand total of 3 steak chunks, I told the staff but nothing was done so I paid £18.75 for pastry filled with gravy :( Overall we left a little bit disheartened to see a restaurant we once loved go downhill. Food is delicious but overpriced especially when you get no meat in a meat pie. Staff were friendly which is always great to see just a shame nothing was done about my meal.

Great atmosphere, the menu was varied and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend. The staff were friendly and attentive, special thanks to Ella who was our waitress, she was fab!!! After reading another review re parking, I can confirm there are PLENTY of signs signposting the parking restrictions and a tablet to enter your registration as soon as you enter, don’t let that put you off.

Food was really good and reasonably priced for the quality, ambiance was nice, service was fast and friendly. Would definitely go back for another chocolate bomb, Beware only for the rich and sickly chocolate lovers and at 1100 calories what a way to finish off a really good meal 👍👍

Such a lovely relaxed, warm, and happy place. The staff were all amazing. Professional, hardworking and obviously enjoying their roles. The manager was supportive and sociable. Food was lovely, and live music was brilliant! Wish we lived nearby so that we could become regulars!

The serving Staff were great. There was a lot of choice on the menu and the food was delicious . The seating area was comfortable.

Visited on 29 May 2024, lunchtime. Food and service good but drinks very overpriced. Pint of shandy £5.80. Two 330mMl bottles of sparkling water £8.20 (this is not a typing error).

After a while away due to awful menu we returned to find a refreshed menu and relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food extremely tasty. Will be returning again soon

Always a great meal at the Kingfisher, our go to pub/restaurant when camping at the CCC over the river.

Had dinner with my wife here. Friendly staff and good pub food. Started, Main and Desserts were all good. Mocktail 🍸 according to my wife excellent. Wine glasses had probably some washing up residue in but got replaced immediately, so no real harm done. Just to be more careful for future servings. 😉

A lovely place to eat or just stop for a drink with outside garden opposite the rubber so you can watch the boats etc passing by. Nice and peaceful will go again

I'm diabetic and there was nothing on menu I could order. Told manager but no offer to put something together so went away hungry. Very sad.
