We went with another couple and ordered the same meal. Unfortunately they all came out warm which wasn't very pleasant.

We ordered food 1day before online on arrival we were waiting 1h.30mins to eat . Food... roasts burned ( beef not good at all) Fish ... nice Pudding ....nice Staff lovely very friendly working hard thank you. Music a little too loud but not a big problem. Thank you.

Excellent family experience for lunch. Parking, atmosphere, service and choice of tasty food. Have lived nearby for over 25 year. Never bothered. Now a favourate place.

I visited here on Sunday 8/12/24 for lunch with family as they had visited this place before but this was my FIRST time. I am being honest here and taking ALL FACTORS into account. Firstly, it was VERY busy and I think that is a testament to the venue HOWEVER that can impact on the service. The drink and food orders were taken within 10mins of being seated with the drinks served soon after. Our waiter clearly repeated our specific food orders. The food took 45mins to be served and not all members of our party received exactly what was ordered. Personally I had the Lamb roast and it was delivered exactly as I asked AND it was delicious. I didn't order a dessert. I commend a kitchen that attempts to serve 5 DIFFERENT ROASTS on a Sunday along side a limited choice of alternatives. Perhaps a "Carvery" style would work better for such ambition on a Sunday or reduce the choice? I also suggest better portion balance. I had HALF of a WHOLE parsnip, 2 WHOLE carrots but only 2 SMALL roast potatoes. The giant Yorkshire was bloody good though. Sharper knives would help too. Overall, I had a bloody good lunch and the waiter was polite. As a final point, I absolutely love the Gents "Beer Recycling Centre" 👍

Busy and popular pub on Kellaway Avenue. Good menu, but try to visit outside of peak times.

Nice roast dinner and very reasonably priced! Crackling was super crispy and gravy was super tasty! Only negative was the menu said it includes cauliflower cheese, however just had cheese sauce on my plate - no cauliflower! Otherwise decent roast dinner!

Lovely Old Style Pub near Rovers Football Ground

We had my sons 18th birthday family and friends celebration here at the weekend. Part of the pub was sectioned off for us, and we had a buffet. Very helpful throughout organising the party, and well looked after on the night. Great food and price, and plenty of it. Well recommended for any celebration.

Nice pub, with easy parking and close to sports facilities. Usually quite easy to find a seat and spacious garden area with heaters. Friendly staff and moderately priced beverages

Maybe a pub for locals, but we're made to feel welcome. Good food, good service, and quite a buzz. The toilets took us both back in time to the 1960s or 1970s - basic. Would we go here again, yes! My wife agrees.

Lovely warm atmosphere, great food and good selection of beer

Food was underwhelming on this visit sadly, tough meat (roasts) no mint sauce , and over cooked ham and under cooked eggs

Unfortunately despite having a handful of quality roasts here previously, we were disappointed this weekend. Dry pork, tough lamb and nut roast not up to scratch. Some of the extras had gone downhill too. Also made the mistake of ordering kids linguine which was like a really rich carbonara, it would have been too much for some adults and so wasn't really a kids dish. Shame as I don't think we will be back for food now. Friendly staff as always at least, though the service tailed off a bit towards the end.

Went here when visiting Bristol. Lovely pub, not much option for the alcoholic drinks and they were quite expensive. Great place, done great with the interior.

Lovely place. Very cosy bar area and quick service. The food was tasty and hot. Pub quiz was good fun and the place was pretty busy. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Went in the evening for food without reservation, easily accommodated. Tasty mains, marked down just because some of the food wasn't available. Really pretty flowered outside seating area too

Very disappointed with the Sunday roast, not cheap either, roasters hard and dry, lamb portion pathetic and mostly fat and I like a bit lamb fat but this was not good. Eat out most Sundays at various pubs and this was the worst meal for a very long while.

Querky old fashioned pub. Non chain. Really liked the vibe. Table service as well. Could do with an ordering app though.

This is my local but I go here once a week with an autistic blind child I support. He really enjoys going to the pub and the staff here are so friendly they above and beyond to make us welcome and make sure everything is ok for us. They make what could be a challenging experience into a enjoyable experience for him and me Thank you everyone at the inn on the green see you soon

What an amazing find, great food great drinks great hospitality and only a stone throw from southmead Hospital if your visiting the poorly and nead some proper food and drink, highly recommend.

It's a great pub, with a wide selection of beverages, amazing food, relaxing atmosphere and fantastic owners who take care of the establishment. They help charity by donating money and think about animals. Dogs are welcome and you might find some pooches inside!

I dont go to many pubs, but this is easily the nicest pub I've ever been to. Beautiful decor and lovely atmosphere. I always feel welcome here, and I am always recommending it to friends. Whether you live in Bristol, or are just stopping by, make sure you check it out!

I love to hang out in their garden with friends. They offer a good quality of service, food and drinks. Waiters are welcoming and always smile. I had breaded cod and it was delicious. I enjoyed drinking 0 alcohol beer Moreti but I would've preferred a Heineken or Beks. Heineken is top for me now, and I'm the type of person who likes the taste of beer but not the alcohol. Thanks for the great time.

Inn on the Green (affectionately IOTG) is my FAVOURITE pub in Bristol. I used to live very locally and was a regular. I left the city about 3 years ago and yet, today, walked into the pub only to be welcomed by the same staff I remember. “Where’ve you been?”, “Of course he gets a locals’ discount, he’s just been lost awhile”. That is service, personality, warmth and care, and it made me grin. Love you guys. Expect: great beer, a warm welcome, good food that’s freshly prepared to order, and a shedload of smiles. Keep it up guys, I miss you!! 😢

Good selection on tap. Good food with decent portions, the 3 small plates is a challenge for two of you! Fantastic service, the pub was busy but that was no problem for them! And a buzzing atmosphere too.

A lovely pub restaurant. Had a Birthday meal here with my family. The first thing we noticed was the wonderful decoration of this place~ the coins behind glass on the walls and the long lines of small Victorian bottles lit up with fairy lights. Lots of seating with comfortable enclosed booths too. Very friendly, polite staff and this pub is dog friendly. All of our meals were delicious, good portions & well presented. Would definitely recommend & will definitely return as my neice lives around the corner. Thank you Inn on the Green.

Went here for my Birthday with my Dad, si brother & Ruby the dog. Really lovely pub, beautifully decorated and loads of space. We all had different meals which were delicious. Very nice staff. Dog friendly and free dog biscuits at the bar, much appreciated.

Spent the afternoon here for my dad's wake. Been to venue many times and chose it because it's a family favourite. The staff were so kind and couldn't do enough for us. They accommodated us easily, dedicated a waitress to us and she worked really hard to keep our glasses filled. Food was excellent and really good value for money. 10/10 from us

First time I’ve been was served undercooked chicken wings, then the next time the cheese board had soggy biscuits and cheese seemed old. Definitely not worth surprised why the reviews are this high, the crafty crow down the road definitely has better atmosphere and is cheaper.

Great beer garden but £6 for a cider is a joke

Really wonderful pub with excellent service, a fantastic range of drinks and some good food. The pub itself is quite far away from other places, but well worth a visit. A huge range of ciders and beers on tap - about 6 ciders!!! The pub is spacious with plenty of seating and booths and bigger tables for large groups. The food here is pretty good pub stuff - nothing to go crazy about but above average for pub grub. Would highly recommend for a nice evening of drinks!

Sat down at 13:00, was told the food would be “1 more minute” at 14:00, but food still hadn’t arrived by 14:20. Ended up walking out without eating. Staff apologised but it still ruined our Easter Monday lunch. I live around the corner and won’t be planning to eat here again.

Absolutely buzzing atmosphere in here on a Friday night. Really good feel in the room. Our dog led to many a lovely chat with the regulars. Staff were ace. Would happily return.

We let a friend organise the venue - last time. The menu was VERY limited.& basic meals ,(,fish / sausage/ ham-egg & chips @£17 covers it)and ,the food indifferent. Then they add 10,% for service after the meal. The waiter did tell us it was optional - but sorry guys if you aren't brave enough to truly declare that your sausage& chips is £18.50 NOT £16.95 ,then (i) I'm not paying it, (ii) I'm not coming back ,(iii) you annoyed me enough that the waiter did not get the tip he would have otherwise got ( ,- which I regret this morning , should have left it on the table) - but ad for trusting your company to hand over the service charge as an extra to your staff you gotta be kidding Clearly it' for you to pay basic staff costs

Came in with no booking on a cold winters night and ordered scampi and chips for me and hunters chicken for my wife. Didn't expect it to be anything special....but it was absolutely beautifully presented and very very tasty. We will definitely eat here again.

Manager kicked one of our members of party because he was underage but not drinking. He said 'i don't want to risk the chance of someone underage possibly drinking' we tried to reason with him as 17 year old wasn't there to drink, we had a work leaving party at this venue because we thought this was a good place. Kitchen was still open so don't understand the logic.... seems the manager on the shift was just having a bad day..... I mean prices here are a bit steep too

Definitely the best pub in Horfield on the Gloucester Rd/Filton Road end. Best food in the area served all day. Log fire. Lots of casual and formal seating. Heated outdoor area. Really efficient staff. Big car park. Good pint of Guinness and great beer selection. It’s come a long way since the old days when Monks Park teachers were in there passing round the ready rubbed. Highly recommended.

Gastro pub!? Food is one level above weatherspoons and double the price. my wife’s gnocchi was dry and tasteless. And my burger was average. I won’t come back for food, but the real ale and wood fire means I’ll come for a drink And I resent the 12.5% compulsory service added to the bill without my permission. Actually I won’t even come here for a drink.

Nice pub. Reasonable standard of food. Very nice little garden. Friendly staff. One real let down is cleaning. Ladies toilets are filthy. Cobwebs damp and dirt everywhere, such a shame.

A great pub with a wide range of beers and a decent food offering. Lots of room in the restaurant area, a nice, cosy pub area and lots of tables in the garden. Great for groups or by yourself. Friendly staff. All good!

Nice atmosphere if you’re going for a drink, but the food wasn’t great. Ordered a meal and only got half of it… and the half we did have was cold! No explanation until we asked at the bar (they had run out of ingredients), still paid full price. Shame!

Went here for a Sunday lunch with colleagues and wasn’t very impressed. Our food was lukewarm when it arrived (No, we didn’t complain, we were all starving by the time it arrived, it took so long.) Lamb was overcooked, belly pork undercooked, tough and still very fatty (cook it long and slow, the fat melts away), the gravy was just tasteless brown water. Service was sporadic, there were lots of empty glasses on our table for quite long stretches of time (at least it stopped us drinking too much, good for our health, but not the landlord’s profits). A dessert menu was never even proffered. All in all very mediocre. If you’re going to do a simple meal like a roast then do it perfectly, plenty of other places do.

We love the Inn on the Green. The staff are really friendly, the pub is big enough to usually have a free table, but not so big it feels inpersonal. In winter it has a lovely fire going, and in summer the gardens are excellent. They have a strong beer and cider selection, and excellent food!

Sunday evening meal. Excellent food - shin of beef linguine. Attentive and friendly staff. Quick service. Cosy atmosphere. Real fire in a fireplace! Good selection of beers. Recommended.

Expensive for what you get (£12 for a small bowl of gnocchi). Pretty loud when everyone's inside too, you end up shouting to speak to someone across from you. It accommodates dogs though which is something at least!

Cracking pub for my first time in Bristol. Food was solid and service was excellent, great banter.

management is very rude the the point it just ruins the whole pub. Shame as it’s very pretty but everyone who works there are horrible especially the woman who owns it
