Over salted chips, very dry chicken and burnt bacon in my club sandwich. Cheese tasted of nothing. We will not return again. We came 12 months ago, had an awful experience, we thought we would give the new owners a chance, nothing has changed. Even advertising an event for mid October on the tables even though it’s mid November. No attention to detail at all, both waitresses, calling me darling or my love, no clue who you are treat customers with respect please. 10% off this awful meal still cost me over £38, 4 drinks, chips and two sandwiches. Total rip off.

Very disappointed with our meal tonight. We booked a table online easily however nowhere on the website did it said that there was no carvery on the night we booked for. When we turned up the waitress gave us the menu and took our drinks order . She didn't say then the carvery wasn't on then either . We looked at the menu and the carvery was listed on the menu. It was only after asking about it did she say it wasn't on. My husband chose a steak as you can see in the photo. It was ridiculous, 6 chunky sweet potato chips ( why. What is wrong with potato chips), WATERCRESS😡 and 2 onion rings for £21. Disgusting

Been going there for years was my all time time favourite for their carvery, went there today and was disappointed mainly in the veg department lacked in flavour especially in the swede didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t mashed, red cabbage smelled nice but lacked in flavour, carrots were perfect! The gravy was different tastes more turkey flavour than meaty like it use to be. I always clear my plate but not today not in a rush to go back 😔

Dinning experience was interesting, food was avarage, decor was out dated. Staff being rude to an alcoholic, so all together, a very uncomfortable, loud, dinning experience.

It's unfortunate that the food is so tasteless. Had a carvery which was swimming in water! The food looks good but lacks serious flavour. If cheap and not very cheerful is your thing you'd enjoy it.

My wife and I went here for lunch and the food was excellent as was the friendly and happy service. We both started with soup which was cauliflower curry, a flavour we had not had before and it was really nice as was the roll that went with it. Then we both had the carvery and again we both had the same, beef which came locally from R J Trevarthen and turkey. The beef was just so so good and think it was topside if not it certainly tasted like it! not forgetting the turkey which was really nice also. We both had a dessert, ice cream and trifle and finished with a pot of tea to end a perfect lunch! Needless to say highly recommended and such good value. A really good experience.

Never been before and we were meeting friends we haven't seen for 30 years. We found all the staff to be very friendly and professional, the food was far beyond our expectation, it was plentiful, well cooked and delicious. We will defiantly go there again. The only slight negative was that the décor could use an uplift but it did not detract from the superb food.

We booked late in the day to stay here for one night last weekend. We were visiting family nearby. It was quite expensive. We got to the room and found 2 single beds. We had booked a double. We asked that we change rooms and was told there was no availability. We could not get a refund as it was within the 24 hour cancellation period. We were really disappointed. Although clean, the room was very small with very basic facilities. Our room was over the kitchen and the fans were very loud. They were turned off overnight but came on early again the next morning. The room we were given should have been half the price we paid, which worked out to over £100. For the money there are much better places to stay within the local area. I tried to put a review up via the site I made the booking through (Booking.com) but it is not recognising my booking reference and pin. I feel others should be aware. It was way too pricey for a very basic hotel.

Booked a room at the Inn for All Seasons the day before arrival, very accommodating staff. Great location to explore other areas, but honestly nothing to do in the nearby Town. Short drives away from Penzance, St Ives, Land’s End etc. so it was the perfect place to stay relatively central to it all. 10 mins from the lovely beach of Portreath, which is quite quiet. Staff went out of their way to accomodate our needs after hours. Really worth its price, would highly recommend. Did not eat, but will have a breakfast soon!

It was my son’s birthday and we LOVE their carvery, it’s the best ever!! Friendly staff nice atmosphere. That’s why we keep going back!

Visited the inn for all seasons for the first time ordered the chicken and mushroom pie dismal and flavourless carrots barely warm as the cauliflower and potatoes not the pie wasn't that hot this is coming from a head chef of 38 years won't every return I also a local

Decided to come back after not vistiting for over three years, we can not praise the food enough or the staff and the general ambience of the Inn for all Seasons We have booked again and will make bookings for once a fortnight. Inn for all Seasons Thank you. Mr& Mrs Sammons.

We’ve had a lovely family meal today. Amazing selection of Gluten free food amazing roast, but be warned the southern fried chicken burger is spicy! Very welcoming staff and super Dog friendly can’t wait to go again! Very chilled relaxed atmosphere

Great carvery. Booked a table for 6 people at 6pm on a January Sunday evening and the place was packed. Very welcoming and good service from the staff. Really enjoyed the carvery and all 6 of us were full to the brim. Would recommend

We had a large family lunch here. They have lots of space, including a separate dining area of large groups, including a huge car park. The food is good with generous portions. The price is reasonable as well so this restaurant is recommended.

Absolutely lovely roast today! Beef, turkey and gammon! All so tasty and given generously! Roast potatoes were so crispy! All the food was lovely hot and tasty! Lots to choose from… those carrots were the best too! Great service Thankyou x

Fantastic upgrade Used to come here regularly but it went downhill, Decided to give it another go and wasn’t disappointed, the new owners have certainly raised the bar here. Carvery,dessert and a coffee for £12…. You can’t argue with that. The carvery was beautifully cooked and was constantly being refreshed and topped up, nice to have the option of pies on there aswell! Dessert was phenomenal, not as much choice but what was there was beautifully presented and I can vouch for the cheesecake, amazing! We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic carvery with the Meal Deal. The veg. was all fresh and the Yorkshires were wonderful! The staff are clearly happy and looked after everybody they served. We also learned they do take-away for their menu which includes the carvery - something which we will definitely use in future. Well done to all the staff - I think you are onto a winner here!

Great Food. Had a private function recently with Friends and the Bbq was amazing. So fresh. Staff fantastic as always 5oo. We also have had the Sunday Roast and again can not fault. Be back soon.

What a great pub! Got a table at very short notice, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us.The food was well cooked and service excellent. Highly recommended!

Went to the carvery on Sunday evening, best to book as very busy. Eventually shown to our table and then went to choose our dishes. Great choice of vegetables and potatoes, roast beef and turkey both tasty and tender. Yorkshire puddings just a little overcooked. Staff all polite, helpful and looking after customers. Really enjoyable meal and great value for money.

We stayed for a few nights and ate here every evening. The carvery was excellent with lovely food and a choice of 3 different meats each day. The A La Carte menu was very nice also. Food arrived quite expediently and was piping hot. A nice selection of beers and lagers to go with it. Great friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Would eat here again if in the area.

Recently back from a four night stay at this amazing place. We had 2 rooms, a double & a twin. Both rooms spotlessly clean. Double had a bath with overhead shower & twin had a spacious shower. Tea & coffee making facilities & bottled water which was replenished daily.Great choice of breakfast. Juices, cereal, cooked options, tea & coffee. We ate there every night too. Great choice of menu & a daily carvery which is famous locally. Huge portion sizes & all of excellent quality. Best of all are the staff. Excellent service throughout, & every request was met with “of course”. Nothing was too much trouble and each & everyone greeted us with a smile. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back.

Visited on a sunday for the carvery, which was nice. A member of our party had the meatball pasta, was quite literally meatballs and spaghetti with a spoonfull of sauce. Service was a shambles to be completely honest, definitely need to give each waitress specific tables. A table who came in after us had been given their drinks, before we had been asked for ours!! Took a while to be asked for our drinks, food and for our food to be bought out. Worst part of the service was trying to order a second round of drinks; made eye contact, waved and shouted to multiple members of staff to be completely ignored. Absolutely no chance of getting a staffs attention for the bill, so had to walk up to the woman at the door to ask how to pay. Seems that the table paying infront of us had issues with their meal too, with both of our tables complaining seems as though they couldn’t care less. Maybe its a regular occurrence?

Called last minute and booked 2 adults and a baby in for food. Lovely staff. Ordered 2 carvery’s and due to covid 19 they played and bought to us. They asked us what meat we wanted and veg after I asked what they had. The portion sizes were great and the food tasted lovely! Definitely recommend

Food wasn’t up to the standard that they are so famous for. The carvery was awful. Chips were cold and not what we are use too.

Greeted by a young gentleman who was very polite. Then had 2 amazing and lovely female members take our drink and food orders. Both knew the menu Inside and out. The food was amazing. Great gluten free range and even a gluten free pudding which was great to see. They cater for everyone and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend. I had the gluten free cod and it was divine!

During lockdown we ordered and took away 5 carvery meals the first meals the potatoes was all burnt had to leave them,then the 2nd time we ordered again 5 meals again the potatoes was burnt not eatable.We complained but was told was a different chef on but no offer of a reduction for very poor meals.£100.00 thrown away would not eat there again think twice any one before eating here used to be great meals

Went to inn 4 all seasons yesterday 1st time since lockdown sorry to say was very disappointed the young lad did his best under difficult circumstances and no criticism of him but I asked for beef and only got 1 slice while the others in my party asked for all 3 meats it seems a bit unfair when I was paying the same that I should only get 1 slice the food was cold some had to be reheated and had to wait for cutlery hopefully this was just teething problems and not a sign of things to come never had any problems there before

Amazing carvery, cauliflower cheese was delicious, staff friendly and helpful. the nut roast exceeds any of the others I have had recently. Roast potatoes could have been crispier, but still tasty. Choice of vegetables brilliant.

We went here this evening a family of 4. We all had clear plates the carvery was exceptional as was the desserts, very warm and friendly staff. We were just sorry we hadn't been in such a long time as it's a real gem of of a place that's always had great consistently in lovely food. We will be back again very soon :)

Trying to find a table for 5 for a couldn’t find anywhere decent open on Christmas Day so had to book for Boxing Day we ended up with the inn for all seasons... Although it’s owned by the same people who own the old shire, it’s no old shire. We sat at the same awkward table we sat last time... Service was slow, took an age to be served, then another age for drinks to arrive... then starters to arrive... then to go get our carvery meal... then for our table to be cleared for our deserts... infact they were clearing up to close. The food however was pretty good, except the beef that was incredibly dry, so bad I left it... The deserts were pretty good too... but could have been much better. Over all, I would not eat here again... how it is so different than the old shire I don’t know.

A really excellent Sunday carvery with a good selection of tasty and tender meats. There was a very good choice of vegetables, all of which were hot and fresh. Well done, so often we find that carvery vegetables are overcooked and soggy, but yours certainly were not!

A huge restaurant that is very popular. Unfortunately it needs updating. I am surprised that a restaurant this size has no coffee machine. The cappuccino was out of a packet. The food was very basic. Lasagne that looked like it was a ready meal and Macaroni cheese that tasted like it came from a can with some cheese grated over the top. The carvery is acceptable although over cooked vegetables yet the meats were really top quality, Always busy on a Sunday so definitely worth booking a table in advance. Good car parking space and a nice but small outside covered seating area. Hoping it improves as it has always been a very popular place to go but in the last year i feel it has gone downhill.

Lovely atmosphere ,,great freshly prepared food ,,Especially enjoyed the carvery .but only one disappointment the cauliflower cheese was undercooked and could've done with a little more cooking .Went for a family celebration and the staff were so accomodating and friendly , Nothing was too much trouble . My family and friends decided to visit last minute for a carvery and we are very pleased we did. We had a little wait to be seated as the same bar staff were also seating customers but we were served drinks/carvery quickly. The choice was good - turkey, beef and gammon with lots of vegetables/yorkies and gluten free options. The meat/vegetables were so tender and fresh. Oh my gosh dessert was amazing with great choices again of gateaux, cheesecakes & cream cakes with lots of ice cream flavours too. All at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Just come back from staying for a few days. I have to say it badly needs the decor updating, it's old and tired to be honest, which is a shame because the staff were lovely. The room we stayed in was shabby, no fridge or Sky and not worth the £85 a night we spent in my opinion. The carvery was pretty good, but if you tried anything else on the menu, it was the usual average stuff. If you like deserts however you are in for a treat.

Well priced, good service and staff. The carvery here is more than enough barely pick up the plate to go back to the table with it very generous with the food.

Visit here every time we come to Cornwall, in fact we have been here 2 times this time. Always great food on the carvery, good choice on the menu also. Great portions and never a moan. Even the kids eat well and the portions are huge! Friendly staff, good choice at the bar and deserts. Busy place so advise booking for a large group. We always go with at least 9 people in tow but have been in past with up to 16 people and the restaurant are very accommodating for large numbers with notice!

Just been for a Sunday carvery at the Inn for all Seasons. Really well cooked and tasty food with a very good selection. Excellent staff, service and great value. I would highly recommend this place.

Just had a lovely afternoon surprise get together for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for our party. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely welcome as always. Smiling staff which makes for a happy event. We eat there regularly ans as a matter of choice. I have menu choice and Brian has carvery (loves the veg). They made our anniversary last month and my birthday on Tuesday special. Thank you for the balloon and wine - so very kind. We will of course be back after school holidays!!

Lovely meal. Chef very friendly and chatty. This was the 4th time we've been. Wasn't overly impressed the first 3 times but on this occasion it was very good

This is a nice open restaurant with lots of space for diners. There is a carvery on regularly which is £10.95 for adults. The choice is huge and varied. My group decided to go for food on the menu which again is good. The large fish and chips with home made tartare sauce and mushy peas is huge. One person had this and had a job to finish it. I had the small fish and chips which was £8.95. I found this very filling. It was lovely white fish and cooked to perfection. Another guest had gammon which was large and the other lady had a bowl of soup and a roll. We were not hurried and the food was brought in fairly quickly. Not noisy in the restaurant. A very enjoyable meal.

Popped in for lunch and it was so lovely. We had a one carvery and a turkey salad. The salad was massive and so yummy. Had a side of sweet potato fries which again were so big and tasty. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The restaurant was packed so suggest booking.

Almost empty restaurant at 7pm, the staff weren’t particularly attentive however the chef serving the Carvery was very accommodating for a vegetarian alternative. As for the carvery the meat was acceptable but quite dry, as for the Yorkshire puddings they were definitely aunt Bessie’s, the sprouts were so soft and over boiled, the potatoes were new potatoes not roast potatoes and there was a lack of vegetables (potentially due to the time we ate at). The attention to detail could be significantly better however the pub does give you a homely feel. The price of the meal was very cheap £10 for a carvery, and drinks were reasonable. We would recommend this pub to a family looking for dinner on a budget.

Lovely carvery and very pleasant chef tonight even took my meal to the table as I’m disabled , only thing that was not pleasant was being taken the other side of the restaurant by the waitress and you could see the top of her tight and pants , surely the managers should insist his serving staff wear appropriate clothing. ,and not a long top stretched down to look like a dress.

Went there for a carvery before the Cinema, absolutely delicious, as always, everything cooked to perfection, will definitely be going back.

First Christmas dinner of the season. Really good. The young lady who showed us to our table was extremely polite and gave us just the right amount of attention while we ate. The food was really good. More than we could eat. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anybody who has a decent appetite

I am not a fan of Carvery's, I usually prefer steak's. However have had a few recently due to my Wife's indulgence of Vegetables of all things, an expensive carvery!

Not having booked in advance, my friend and I called here for lunch. On arrival, although the restaurant was busy, we were welcomed and offered the special lunch deal. The carvery included a choice from three meats and a good variety of vegetables, stuffing, gravy and various sauces. Following this, we were offered a good choice of sweets. We both chose fresh fruit salad, with Cornish cream, which was as delicious as the main meal. This was followed by a pot of tea, served together with mints. Altogether this was a most satisfying meal at the most reasonable price of £10.95. We both look forward to returning, when we are next in the area.

Carvery was good. Great turkey and gammon and good fresh veg and spuds. Service is a bit lacking although you get what you came for so no complaints. The place is clean and pleasant but very ‘80’s’ in decor and a bit no frills. I won’t let that detract from the fact that it is a good carvery however, and at £9.95 per head we will surely return.

Went for a meal with my partner to celebrate pregnancy. After having a carvery the chef said it was ok to have two more roast potatoes. When my partner went to pay the manager implied in a very cocky and arrogant manner that I was greedy and how he had to pay the full cost of another roast! If he was asked to pay a small fee, he would have been more than happy to have. When I asked for the workers name ( think it was the manager ) she was sarcastically saying bye repeatedly at me waving. When I said how rude, I was told never to return and I’m barred.

My family met up here for a meal and we all enjoyed our time there. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. My five year old grandson enjoyed his meal, particularly his ice cream sundae. (I was expecting him to leave some but unfortunately he ate it all).

Amazing carvery, generous portions with a wide range of meats and sauces. Service was okay and there’s a choice of inside and outside seating. Great choice if you love a roast

Never been here before, but being regulars at Old Shire who are owned by the same people, felt confident we would be happy here.

Friendly staff, food is ok, but there are better around. Will go back though. Plenty of parking and pleasant layout

We recently ate here to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. The venue offered to decorate the table with balloons beforehand to make it extra special.

Been here before many times. On occasions it has been average but on the whole very good.

We called in today for the first time as we love carveries! Choice of 3 meats and we had the Turkey which was delicious. Great choice of veg, all nicely cooked and very friendly prompt service. The decor is a bit dated but everywhere was clean. We will certainly go back.

This place is really dated and has a very old classy feel, there is normally always room to sit but literally coach loads of oaps turn up and you can sometimes have quite a wait to get your carvery. This place does propper food with propper portions and it's always been cooked well and is all priced perfect for what you get. I have never left this place disappointed it's just good honest food.

I had a lovely carvery there and it was amazing (beef was a bit dry) however one of your staff was very rude, she kept staring at us while eating our meal, she wasn’t the kindest when we left. Huffing and Puffing when we ordered desert. But was an amazing evening and would defo recommend it

A table for 8 on a busy Sunday lunchtime, dealt with no problem. The carvery was excellent, the beef was as good as I've had at a carvery, veg was very nice and the horseradish sauce was enough to give you a nose bleed, fantastic stuff!!

We have been here quite obtain and it never fails to give great value. The food is first class, staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. We’ve had large celebrations there and just the carvery. Always been first class. Would recommend as a place to visit if you want a good Cornish meal.

After a few disappointing attempts to find a Sunday lunch we found this Inn/hotel and were able to book lunch. The food was fresh with generous portions. Probably the best Sunday roast we have eaten outside of home.

Food was fine, tasted lovely but the service was absolutely shocking! Only one waitress cracked a smile, the rest were extremely blunt, rude and had poor customer service!

This is the second time we've visited the Inn For All Seasons this year. There is a large carpark just off the main road. Most of the staff are friendly - we weren't asked how our Carvery meal was whilst we were eating!

Rang in advance for a large table booking and were well accommodated. They have a separate area for large tables and organise it so that you wait to be called to the carvery so that it isn't busy. Food was nice and reasonable (for a Sunday) at £9.95 for a carvery. However, dessert was a shambles they have a cabinet with cakes which aren't labelled so it's difficult to order what you want as you don't really know what they are.

We stayed here for one whilst working throughout Cornwall. Nice big car park, but lacking any real markings and as one of us is disabled it would be useful to have had suitable parking marked.The hotel looked fine, a little tired perhaps, but maybe that was just us, and the weather. Booking in seemed chaotic, especially after a prolonged period of not being able to find our booking. The room was pleasant, bright and clean, but no lift to the first floor.It was a bonus to have a nice full size bath, but the shower!! Something akin to washing your hair in fog. We are at the carvery, really nice food. The room was noisy, being next to the busy A30, meant if you are a light sleeper it could be an issue. We weren't.☺Fair night sleep on a too soft bed, but refreshed in the morning. Good breakfast, really filling, lasted us the whole day. As a business digs, probably ideal, but I was shocked at the late rooms.com deal at £95.00 seemed steep for the offer.I would recommend as a work crash pad. Not necessarily as a holiday hotel.

Fabulous Carvery. Choice of 3 Massive Meat Joints either Beef, Pork, Turkey, or alternative choices plus normal menu. It happens twice a day at lunchtime and in the evenings from 6.30pm. Complete with wonderful choice of home cooked veg with new and roast potatoes, swede, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, peas, plus all the sauces and accompaniments you would expect with a full roast, and the mega choice dessert choice was fantastic with such huge portions. We had to book as it is very popular, it wasn't far from where we were staying. The price for a adult size carvery was 9.95 and the smaller one was 8.95. We avoided starters and were hesitant for the desserts, delicious as they were. They also catered for family parties, lovely bar and seating areas inside and out. Good sized car park. Very well recommended and should we return to cornwall will make sure we visit again. Fantastic Food and absolutely wonderful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our two visits and we were stuffed on both occasions. Just a fabulous place to eat.
