We are frequent diners, visiting at least once a month over the past 5 years. Ali as General Manager is fabulous, he always makes time to talk and even when it’s very busy if we’ve forgotten to book, he will squeeze us in. Portion sizes are generous , food is very tasty and I must have gone through most of the menu now and we’ve never had a bad meal. The team also support local communities, everyone is friendly and attentive - the best local curry house by some margin.

The food was really lovely! We were recommened a curry based on what we normally ask for elsewhere and it was so nice! Tender meat, really flavoursome and very generous amount! The staff were all polite and the service was very efficient! The only thing I would have liked is the option to chose where abouts to sit as we were took to the conservortary part which I guess they were trying to fill out, but I would have liked the ambiance of the other part of restaurant. But cannot fault! Definatley recommend.

Bar not open to public even though it’s a pup. Very grumpy bar tender says bar only for eating customers go to the pub. It was called The New Inn

Amazing little Indian Bangladeshi restaurant tucked away in Cornwall, I would like to appreciate Hussain one of the attendant at the restaurant. He was very helpful. Food is nice and service is amazing.

The Indian Queen restaurant was an absolute nightmare! The owner/manager's rudeness was off the charts, making our group of 15 endure a dreadful experience from start to finish. As a visitor to the UK, they've managed to single-handedly sour the entire experience.

Brilliant place to get an Indian curry, the service is really good and the staff are polite. The food is amazing and always is prepared to the highest standard and the price is good as well. Highly recommended. I would say that with the lack of delivery it may put you off, but it isn't far from local residents, please don't be out off as it's a great place to get a takeaway curry. 5 stars.

I went to The Indian Queen with my family to celebrate my sons 16th Birthday and were so glad this restaurant was recommended to us. The food Was AMAZING! by far the best i've had. I mentioned that it was to celebrate my sons birthday and they put up a banner and Balloon which made his day! They even decorated the plate when they brought his cake out. Honestly can't fault anything about our experience. Food came quickly and the price was incredibly reasonable. We felt so welcome and will definitely be returning.

Always a very pleasant experience dining here. The food is first class, as is the friendly and efficient service. They seem to do a very good trade with take-aways too. We always look forward to an evening at the Indian Queen and would highly recommend you visiting, you won't be disappointed.

Had a take away as were travelling and staying in the area. Staff on the phone was polite and even more in the restaurant when I went to collect. Food was fresh and hot and tasted great!

My Daughters 40th Birthday Dinner. 8 of us attended. The currys were the best ever. Attentive sevice for the birthday girl. Nothing to much trouble. I wanted a lamb parsanda which wasn't on the menu, but they cooked me one. Best one I've ever had.

Always consistently excellent food at The Indian Queen, regardless of whether we have had food to go, or sitting in. Unlike many Indian restaurants they always, without fail, cook everything fresh, and it shows in the food (and how consistently busy the place is!)

A really great spot in the countryside for a high class Indian meal. The former pub has ha a chequered history over many years, but since this new company took over the place and established a high class indian restaurnt it has never looked back. Only open in the evenings and only ten minutes drive out of Banbury on the Stratford Road, it is certainly worth a visit. My friend and I met on a Monday night for a meal - one of the few places open on a Monday - and we were not disappointed. Warm welcome, a nice pre booked table, lots of nibbles while we studied the extensive menu. Cold Indian beers quickly arrived and were were very pleased with our choices - something for everyone - whether really hot, medium or mild. An excellent, experienced staff looked after us and we went home with a warm glow of satisfaction having had a really excellent meal which we couldn't fault. They do a takeaway menu, but as our waiter said, it tastes much better if you eat in the restaurant. He was right. We were sent on our way with a Christmas card which was nice touch.

Always a firm favourite among locals. They recently won the best Indian restaurant locally and well deserved.

Nice food great service and always feel looked after. Staff addressed the foul language from another table which is not good for business. Well worth a visit.

Our first visit. Great choice of vegie and vegan food. Plenty of meat and chicken dishes, but we stuck to non meat options. Just the right service level. No rushing, no delays, the staff must have been watching. 1830 on a Tuesday and 20 covers already there, so worth booking as popular. Next time we will just have popodoms and mains with sides. Probably the best ever peshwarie naans we have ever eaten. We will be back.

Have enjoyed eating here several times before this time the food was excellent but the restaurant was cold on a frosty November evening you need more heaters in the conservatory during the winter months

Most of the serving staff were friendly but one waiter has been consistently surly and rude on more than one occasion. The food was very disappointing .

I’d be hard pushed to find anything positive to say about this take away experience. The food was that bad I would consider charging them for my time and the cost of the petrol to go there and pick this stuff up. This was the farthest thing from Indian food I think I’ve ever encountered. Very different dishes ordered but clearly the same sickly sweet sauce smothering everything. Im glad I don’t live locally.. and I feel for the folks who do.. this is not Indian food. Im not really sure what it is.

We had a meal at this fine establishment last night for my husbands birthday. The minute we walked through the door till we left was fantastic,our meal was absolutly fantastic the sauce on my king prawn biryani was a bit too hot for me but the food was great will be returning again and try something different my husband enjoyed his meal also.

Shutford Curry Club visited on the 2/10/23. There was 16 of us and everyone had a splendid time. Its hard to serve a large group but every one had hot food at the same time. The staff were very attentive and everything went according to plan. Oh! the food wernt half bad either!!! KEEP KHAN AND KURRY ON.

The food here is amazing! I went with two friends and I ordered the Shah Special a hot curry with lamb, chicken and prawns which was absolutely delicious My friends said their meals were just as good and some of the best Indian meals they have ever had It’s worth mentioning the Nan bread which was the best I have ever eaten The service was spot e with exactly the right amount of time between courses I highly recommend this restaurant

Not your traditional Indian that we get in the south. We collected a takeaway and it was lovely. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Incredible food and Incredible service my family and I have been going there for ages and the service is always incredible and the staff are lovely.

Ordered an online takeaway, no problem, emailed back to accept order, all good, noted on takeaway menu that a discount of 10% was offered on collection orders. However, staff did not want to honour said discount because order was placed via website!. I explained to staff that it was still being collected ! So discount is valid, i was going to pay full price when staff exclaimed that i was being"funny" with him. So i retrieved my money and advised them that i would not return again. They lost out on a £66.00 order. For being rude. Their loss not mine.

Pre ordered a takeaway, service was great, food ready in time but a little disappointing. The chicken tikka starter was unacceptable, 4 small pieces of chicken and a couple of slices of onion. Tikka puri and onion bhaji great. Both curries watery but tasted ok. Naan breads not great, really cold and the keema has no lamb mince at all.

The food was good as usual, but, the visit was spoiled by the waiter who took our order. He was rude, brusque and unfriendly, in sharp contrast to the other waiters who smiled and were polite. This was not our first visit, and were left disappointed as we had taken friends for dinner.

We were passing and called in after checking out reviews. While the food was okay, the service was poor and it was lacking in atmosphere and ambience. Staff were okay but I think our waiter was inexperienced and wasn't up to speed. We can't hand on heart recommend anywhere in Banbury, the nearest recommendation we have would be the Spice Lounge in Burford. By no means the worst in Banbury but just okay at best. Btw, the sauvignon was undrinkable.

Fabulous food, warm and welcoming service. Easy parking and view of fields from the pub garden. The food, the food, the food - consistently great meals at the Indian Queen, we go regularly for takeaways and also sit in from time to time. Really friendly service from a great team.

This restaurant is one of the best I've been to in a long time. The food was amazing and good sized portions, it was all reasonably priced and a good selection. The restaurant was almost full on a Sunday evening with a lot of local people which is a good sign! Nice atmosphere. The service was faultless, everyone was so friendly and obvious they want you to have the best time, they even helped us out, not being local and unable to get a taxi, by giving us a lift back to our hotel a few miles away, everything wasn't any trouble for them. Food, Service and Restaurant are perfection! Well done to all the team, many businesses should take a leaf out of your book!

Saturday night 6.30pm called in and asked for a table for two, they had one left , they were very busy , for was excellent, hot and staff took the time to ask you what you wanted and if everything thing was ok . Will be back when it isn’t to busy.

A lovely meal out with the very best service. The best Indian food I have had in this country! A must if you are in the area but do book. Plenty of parking, and a really great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this to anyone who really appreciates Indian cuisine. A cut above the rest!

As a visitor from North Wales I was very very impressed with the quality of food and service, in an idylic location, couldn't fault the establishment, well done, the Indian queen!!!!!

Not up to par I'm afraid. Our third visit and well below previous standard. Some of the food was not particularly inspiring and service was slow and inefficient. We needed to ask several times for drinks and orders were forgotten. Expected better .

The Indian Queen is my all time favourite Indian restaurant. Fantastic food and brilliant service. Have been going with my dad for years now have never fails to impress. By far the best in my opinion for eat in or takeaway. Highly recommend

Dined here for the first time last night with a good friend and was extremely impressed. The staff were welcoming and very professional. The food was delicious and very good quality. I liked the fact they did not cut their naan breads i like to break them up myself, just my preference. We had fresh, warm and crispy popadoms with delicious sauces to dip them into. I really enjoyed their Butter Chicken, yummy. There is plenty of parking and its a beautiful building, with different areas to sit in, particularly good if you wanted a separate area for a larger group for a celebration. In fact there was birthday table there last night and the staff started us all singing Happy Birthday as they brought out cake!. Its not the cheapest meal out but its not too expensive either and its worth it. I will be back, well done to you all at The Indian Queen.

Delicious fresh food with friendly staff. Big portions! I have eaten here twice and would not go anywhere else in the Banbury area.

Went here last night (Monday 17th April). Within 20 minutes of eating, it was making its way back out with such ferocity that my partner had to stop the car for us both to relieve ourselves!! Very messy and uncomfortable experience! The carpet in the main restaurant is so dirty and filthy that it really needs a new one. A deep clean just wouldn’t cut it. Let’s face it, if that’s how they keep the carpets - god only knows what goes on in the kitchen!!!

We took our mum out and this was the experience. Packed in like sardines, one of our group ended up sitting at an angle, table was inadequate for the size of the group. Food mediocre & the service was poor. Asked for table water, not enough glasses brought to the table. The mints at the end were short too. Vodka & tonic in a glass tumbler we used to have a school. We were not rude, we asked politely for the missing items, no fuss was made by our group at all. Upon leaving a staff member opened the door and unprovoked made a snidee comment.
