Very welcoming pub with friendly staff and locals, great choice of beers 🍻 at a very good price. Good old fashioned pub, nice and clean, comfortable with a selection of sandwiches on request, also TV with sky sports what more can you ask for 🍻. Thanks Mark and Jeanette.

We visited this traditional pub twice during our stay in Worcester. The first occasion was on 15th August when we met some friends here for a pre-dinner drink. We returned the following night for an after dinner drink/nightcap. The staff here were friendly and we were made feel most welcome, hence we came back the second time. It was good to be able to sit back and enjoy a "good" pint in clean comfortable surroundings with a good old fashioned boozer atmosphere.

We visited The Imperial Tavern with our two dogs while travelling through Worcester on our narrowboat. We really do like the Black Country Ales pubs including this one and it was definitely worth the walk across town from the river to get there. Our dogs were made to feel welcome on the carpeted floor, lovely man behind the bar, friendly locals and a great choice of well kept beers. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Popped in to meet a friend for a quick pint just before the football, wow the women behind the bar was so so rude to us, poured half my drink told me she needed to change the barrel so id have to wait for the bar man to come back, I said its ok ill just have the other lager then rather then waiting for it to be pulled through, she got very stroppy with me and when she did finally give me her drink her response was "whatever" Will not be back

Early Friday evening on the 29th October we met a group of friends here for pre-dinner drink. There was a real relaxed friendly atmosphere here, it had the sense of a good old fashioned boozer. They put a lot of effort into the Halloween decorations, the sensor operated mannequins were a definite talking point. We ordered our two drinks at the bar, one of them was a pint of Piffle Snonker, the strangest ale name we have ever heard of, it was a good pint. Our two drinks came to £7.90, reasonably priced for a City centre pub. Everything about here was good, the bar and seating areas were clean and well maintained. The bar staff were polite and friendly. We did return later that evening for a few after dinner drinks.

Its definitely a pub and not a restaurant/eatery. Fred and Denise made us feel so welcome. The regulars offered interesting conversation and the Imperial's Sunday Music Night was amazing, apparently they have different bands performing each week. I'll definitely be back!

I have been going along to this pub for over a year always they are the friendliest, nicest loveliest people, including the landlord Fred. I go to their open mics on a Wednesday night run by Kringo and Maddy Great audiences, non competitive, no prima donna's, no pecking order. Encourage and support everyone. My friends and colleagues have also come along several times and had a great time. Fully recommend. I also performed there as part of The Worcester Music festival.

The Imperial is a great City centre pub, with a wide selection of ales, and ciders. Fred the landlord is welcoming and knows his beers. He's always a nice bloke to talk to - unlike many landlords, he's proactive and doesn't like to see a customer waiting!Despite being in the city centre, the pub rarely seems to be too busy - you can normally find a seat to sit down on.The pub quiz is one of the better ones in Worcester, and you get a portion of chips with your entry fee, so well worth it.If you like a well run, traditional real ale/cider pub, this is the place for you.

Great real ales which I love. Well stocked bar with something to suit everyone one. Friendly efficient staff. I would certainly recommend coming here if you want to experience a ‘Great Traditional British Pub’ with traditional ales and ciders locally brewed we enjoy spending time here with friends. Loos could do with a little TLC please. Nothing to put you off coming here though.

It was a chilly evening when a talented group of mates crowded in to the back room of this excellent pub to power up the piano. The landlady was more than pleased to let one of our number take a seat at the keys, switch on the electric keyboard and lead a great singalong! They really love it when customers play the piano here. More power to the Imperial Tavern!

2nd pub on our pub crawl of Worcester. This is like stepping back in time and is a typical good old fashioned pub. The landlord was very friendly and informative about his ales of which there was a great choice. We had a roll from the counter which was great value and went down well with the ale. Quite a large pub with a tv towards the back.

Piano type thing at back of pub, along with some board games to play. Back left hand side is where the books are on the window sill area if anyone wishes to peruse. Quiet pub on our visit. These days, when one asks for a taste of a cider/beer this is usually greeted with 'Of course, or words to that effect: in my case it was 'if you must'. This was after we'd tempted the barman off the front door step while he smoking a fag and letting it blow back into the pub - which, in itself, is quite a smart venue.

This is one of my favorite pubs. It always has a friendly welcome and the bar staff / landlords are exceptionally knowledgeable about real ale. Usually has around 10 real ales on and are of excellent quality. Good range of other drinks too and as a result the pub attracts a good mix of people. If looking for a cosy 'proper' pub then The Imperial is well worth a visit.

been to this newly refurbished pub a few times, the most recent was for a quiet pint with a few friends. not realising it was there fortnightly pub quiz. (this is in no way a complaint). we sat down and was approached by a very nice gentleman who asked if we would like to participate, it was a pound per person entry with a curry INCLUDED!! what a absolute bargain. the food was great. i mean a curry and a pint who could ask for more. im not a real ale drinker myself but the choice was very extensive, but it caters for all tastes with lager, cider spirts etc... the pub is very clean and homely and i will be back for the next quiz on the 20th APRIL (bit of free publicity there) :) :) Keep up the good work.

Went for lunch with my aunties. Jacket potato.... how can you get a simple thing so wrong Well!!! It was microwaved, a hard lump of butter in middle of coleslaw then a smidgen of melted cheese on top!! Obviously potato stone cold butter not melted why didn't you put the cheese on first then coleslaw on the side? Some places should not do food and maybe just concentrate on your ales which I'm sure are good. A very disappointing experience with the food and will not return nor will my family.

Paid parking nearby over the road. This pub is one of the newest pub in the Black Country Ales ownership. This pub opened on Thursday 23 August 2015. It serves light bar meals between 12-4pm only. Unlike other Black Country ales pubs, this one has no darts or crib boards, but it has a good range of books, some board games such as chess, black gammon, draughts, connect 4, scrabble. Live music was due later as the band was setting up when we were there. Unlike the Cross Inn at Kinver, the back ground music here is annoying. They could do with taking advice from Andy at the Cross Inn on how to make a relaxed feel good atmosphere. Small tiny semi covered beer garden, didn’t like the metal toilets, they felt cold & uninviting.

I have been coming here for 5 years and can honestly say it is the best place to grab a coffee and something light to eat in Worcester. It is incredibly family-friendly and the menu has something for everyone from children's beans on toast to substantial toasties perfect for Lunch. There is also an impressive choice of drinks on offer. The homemade cakes and bakes always look delicious, it would be rude not to have one (even at 9 am after breakfast). The service is always fantastic and friendly and it feels like you're going to a friend's house to enjoy some good food and relax. The play area is great for smaller children with a nice selection of books and games to keep them busy. It's very reasonably priced and I believe one of the best value independent places in Worcester.
