Browns at The Quay in Worcester

An overnight stay in Worcester we booked a table for lunch with friends the following day. As a couple we decided to go for dinner the night before to try out the food, we were not dissapointed, the tomato soup was so tasty, followed by the Meze sharing board for two, so much food it would of fed four, we didn't manage to finish it but thoroughly enjoyed the great selection. Lunch the follownig day was just as good I would reccomend the fish platter, delicious and again plenty of it. The staff were attentive with a friendly manner. Thank you

We hadn't had a date night in a while so I checked previous reviews and menu (for gluten free choices) and I wasn't disappointed. It's a lovely restaurant with attentive, approachable waiting staff that looked after us really well. The meal was delicious presented beautifully. We had a 7.30pm reservation so had plenty of time to relax and enjoy our evening together. We'll look forward to our next visit. Thank you Brown's.

Great atmosphere, very busy and excellent service

I cannot comment on the rooms as did not stay the evening with my girlfriend. However that being said, we went for a date night and had the 16oz Chateaubriand. I have to say, this was easily, one of the best steak dinner I have ever had. Starters were amazing, Steak was perfectly cooked, fries hot and seasoned well, vegetables tasty, sauces immaculate, just an amazing dinner. I think dinner with wine, cocktails, start and desserts was £150 and I would have steak there every week if I could, it was absolutely amazing.

Fabulous food, served quickly .. good choice for meat and vegetarian/vegan people too. Staff are professional and friendly.

My wife and I went for an evening meal , the staff were lovely and efficient, for starters we had scollops and soufflé, both were nice and hot. For mains we had steak and beef medallions, steak was cooked to perfection like wise the madallions, we were full so we only managed a sweet between us of sticky toffee pudding , all in all a great night and great food.

Visited for the burger night deal with my partner. We both had the pork belly burger and upgraded fries. The burger deal is great value (£12 for burger and fries). We finished with a sticky toffee pudding. The food was very nice, nicely presented and tasted really fresh with the rocket and pomegranate seeds. The staff were friendly. They added a service charge on to the bill. It says it's optional but they do not ask when they come to take payment if you would like to include it or not, or when they bring the bill which was disappointing. I think more transparency would be better with this. We felt uncomfortable bringing it up ourselves to ask to remove it so we paid for it. I personally think with the audience that quite cheap burger deals target, these customers might not want to pay service.

Lovely stay. Room was clean ,spacious and stylish decor and comfortable. Lovely view of river. Dinner was tasty and well presented and waiting staff charming. Cocked breakfast presented with care. Fruit salad was a work of art. Waitress serving breakfast charming.

Visited here a while ago for Mother's Day with my family. We had a lovely evening, couldn't find any fault with the food and the atmosphere, simply gorgeous venue. We did have some minor slip ups with the service (they forgot to process our desserts) but it was an incredibly busy evening for them, can't blame them and they did apologise at the time... Plus, y'know, not as though desserts go cold! Anyway, joking aside, I plan on returning for more of the food and cocktails! Thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for some fine dining in a warm and lively venue with friendly staff.

We went for steak night as a family of 5 for a special occasion. Steaks cooked to perfection, well presented and wonderful service. We loved the topped fries and onion rings too.

We dived in for a spot of lunch and my friend and I ordered the vegetarian sharing platter. It was really excellent : dips, salad, humous, falafel, goats cheese, pickles, olives, salad and cheese stuffed peppers. We spied other diners enjoying the most impressive Sunday lunches. A must we think

This hotel was by far the best we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly, the room was beautifully decorated and very clean, breakfast the following morning, greeted by a friendly team and the food was lovely. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Dined here in the evening for their Steak night with some clients , stayed the night in their rooms and then had breakfast. Everything was amazing , overlooking the River Severn. The rooms are luxuriously decorated to a high standard. The food and service for dinner was amazing and good value . Breakfast overlooking the river just completed a perfect stay. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

Food over two days was very well presented, good portions and with excellent service from attentive staff. The location, views of the river and excellent ambience of the restaurant & bar area make this my ‘destination restaurant’ in Worcester. Thanks to all staff & management for two excellent lunches & for such high standards.

Lovely stay at Browns - It was near perfect. Check in was simple and was given a welcome drinks. Following onto this, we were in the Severn Suite and the room was sensational. Huge bed, massive room and lovely bathtub in the middle. The views from outside were great. Only downside is that the spotlights did not work - but this didnt massively matter. It was really easy to find with a long stay car park for a tenner for 24 hours right next to it. Breakfast was also included in the price which was more than reasonable! Would definitely recommend!

There was no flavour in the linguine and my brownie was covered in cherry very unhappy 😡😡

We chose Browns to host a Silver wedding anniversary meal as we were looking for somewhere upmarket for our family celebration. We were not disappointed! The staff there were very welcoming and made us feel instantly relaxed in the sophisticated surroundings. The restaurant was fairly busy and had a wonderful vibe about it. Some of us were impressed with the extensive cocktail/mocktail menu, it was lovely to have so much to choose from. The waiting staff were extremely efficient and remembered precisely who had ordered each drink or meal. They were very attentive to everyone's needs. It was the £10 Pie night special whilst we there which seemed a popular choice with other diners, but we preferred to select from the main menu. Again there was plenty to tempt you, but three stand-out dishes that really impressed us were the Baked Camembert sharing board, the Pan seared Scallops and the Beef Fillet medallions. These dishes in particular were exceptional and a credit to the chef! Browns made our evening a thoroughly memorable one for which we are very thankful. We will definitely be returning in the coming weeks to sample some of the many appetising specials on offer.

Came on Valentine’s Day for work. Staff made me feel welcome. Great service. Room was fantastic as was the food and service. I’d definitely stay here again. James

A very well run and good value high end restaurant. Welcomed by friendly staff, nice round table. The menu was extensive and the midweek offers are great value. Never been to a restaurant where you can chose you steak size and pay by the ounce! The whole evening felt like a nice pampered night

One of the best places in Worcester.

Turned up without reservations as a last-minute venue for a first date. Staff were really attentive and helpful, we ate a Christmas dinner and had a couple of drinks, food was lovely, and service first class, will definitely be revisiting.

Having the most luxurious meal at the Brown's this evening.. From the moment of Greetings at the entrance,, to the table side service for 2, the wine to their beautiful presented plates.. Superb!!

We have recently spent a 3 day break at Brown's on the Quay and the whole experience was excellent. The staff were attentive. We were served on several occasions by Eva who we would like to mention in particular. She was professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, infact we could not fault any of the staff. Meals were delicious and well presented and the room we had was excellent. We will certainly be returning.

Our third visit and as always absolutely delightful. The moment we walk in, it feels like home from home. Room superb with fabulous views. Food fantastic. Service impeccable from all staff, and particularly from the very professional and conscientious Eva. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stayed in a top floor apartment with a lovely view over the river. The apartment was amazing, plush carpets, large rooms, huge super king size beds. Amazing place. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was really nice. Breakfast was great too. Amazing place!

Very comfortable and relaxing rooms. Great location, along the river and centrally close to the center of town. Excellent kitchen as well for all meals. Breakfast is included in the stay and it was the delicious.

Lovely place to eat and drink with a riverside view. Staff were helpful and friendly and the food was extremely good value for money. Really smartly decorated inside and plenty of space between the tables so you're not on top of each other. The seafood sharing board was huge and tasted great.

Beautiful hotel and food. The staff are amazing, so friendly and cannot do enough for you. We had an unexpected stay, but would love to return and stay longer.

Great one-night stay in apartment 7. Huge separate living space, kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, view of the river. Stunning. Immaculately clean and comfortable. A couple of points. The kitchen is not well enough equipped for cooking meals but OK for snacks, coffees etc. The hotel publicity suggests this accommodation has two king beds but actually one is a 5-foot 'large double', but hey, still comfy. If it's a cold day when you arrive you'll need to turn up the wall thermostat in the hallway. Otherwise, can't fault it. Would love to go back. Oh and staff were helpful, but beware the restaurant isn't open Mondays. We went to Island, very local Greek restaurant. Recommended.

Perfectly lovely restaurant with boutique hotel above 💜. I wish I were staying longer!! I was in room 301 - a lovely suite with positively blissful bath, quirky furnishings that were perfection itself, and superlative staff in both hotel and restaurant areas. I dined here last evening, and my meal was superb - coconut carrot coriander soup and goat cheese salad (note, however, the salad is mostly cheese and little lambs lettuce), and a fantastic New Zealand Saivignon Blanc. The accommodation has all the little touches that make a stay special - a glass of prosecco upon check-in, fresh milk for your morning coffee/tea in the mini fridge, clothes brush, mineral water, beautifully scented toiletries, and great linens. The only thing less than perfect is no hotel carpark, but I knew that going in, and a council carpark is a couple minutes’ walk away. Stay here - you’ll love it too!!!

Went to browns for my daughters birthday. Location is great and food was very good, but service was just comical. Not sure where they get their staff from, but it was like a scene from Faulty Towers...would I go again...probably not.

Wonderful family run restaurant. Service was brilliant , food great, friendly host was chatting to us. Lovely place. I'll go there again when I'm in Worcester.

After booking a king suite as it was the last room available when we arrived we were not disappointed. The staff were impeccably well mannered with a special mention to Mia. Tho her young age you would have thought she was running things. Another mention to Richard who has clearly mastered the art of hospitality making our evening meal feel like we were eating at a Michelin star restaurant. The food itself was delicious and the setting was perfect. We will be retuning again and would not hesitate to recommend the venue to anyone. Well done. Hospitality done right.

Great location but air con was apparently turned off for the event so spoiled it a bit - otherwise good. Staff were great!

Amazing location with a choice of seating areas ranging from inside the beautiful restaurant with excellent, modern decor, the cute terrace, marquee area and along the quayside. Fab food and brilliant cocktails. The staff are smart, welcoming and accommodating. Definitely coming back to try some more of the food! Thank you.

Excellent lunch in quiet surroundings, nice waiting staff. Seafood salad and Avocado very tasty, the beer battered cod and pea puree got a thumbs up too. No room for desserts, good portions.

Went just for a drink. Overall a good experience. Particularly in relation to the location. However, was not happy with the service charge that was automatically added onto the drinks without any warning. After paying, without realising it, I questioned it. I was told that it is mentioned on the menu. This was in very small print and very easily missed particularly when just ordering drinks. Customers should be given an option not automatically added on.

Good location by the river. Had mocktails and a Sunday lunch. I had soy belly of pork stir fry which was reasonable. Not really as tasty as it could have been. The meat was good. The mocktails were nice. Three people ate for £60 all in.

We had a fabulous meal here. Bar appeared to be well stocked. Staff were attentive and well turned out. Can't comment on accommodation we went only for dinner.

Just a meal here. Next I would ask for the broccoli to be cooked rather than blanched, virtually raw. Would have mentioned it but staff didn't ask how the meal was. Duck was a bit chewy but may have just been the meat, rather than the cooking of it. Would give it another go though, on the whole enjoyed it.

Wife and I had the Mezze Board sharer for lunch. Absolutely lovely, enough for at least 3. Would totally recommend!

An excellent hotel right on the banks of the Severn. Comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated the rooms have a safe, fridge, good shower and most importantly a coffee machine! The evening meal of duck was delicious and the restaurant staff were excellent. Out door seating to watch the swans glide by if you are lucky with the weather. Enjoyable comprehensive breakfast menu. A good stopover if you are travelling through Worcester.

We had a lovely room on the corner with no balcony, but a wonderful view of the river, the fountain and the car park - so we could see our car parked there too. The service and food in the restaurant was really good. The room was cleaned nicely each day. All the usual bits in the room, iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee, water bottle and a fridge. Comfy bed too. Down points: the room was a bit warm, better with the windows open, but then the cathedral bell and Gull calls were louder. Browns had thought about this though and left us a really good electric fan. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Nice river side pub and restaurant a little bit expensive and up market but a very nice place to stop for a drink by the river side,had a few pints and a snack was all really nice and would stop by for one again in the future

Beautiful bar, overlooking the river. When the weather is good, you can sit outside with a lovely view. We only went for drinks but the food does look good. Attentive and friendly service. Not cheap but great ambience with a touch of luxury. You don't feel out of place if you dress up.

Stayed just the one night while visiting relatives but the room, staff and breakfast were all fantastic. In a fabulous location too by the river with a car park close by. Would recommend this hotel to anyone as this one has got it all right.

Super lunch at Browns by the river. Great table service and the food is superb. Fresh, great ingredients cannot rate highly enough. And not bad value. Well worth a visit and grab a lovely outside table and watch the boats go by.

My fiancé and I wanted to have a drink somewhere nice and quiet and Browns was just the right spot. Going there during the summer to sit near the water was fab. Fab service. We will be definitely going back for the food. We saw the dead food board being served several times and cannot wait to go back and try it.

Vastly Overpriced Meals ! Service ok, liked the mini, mini skirts!! Wouldn't recommend wouldn't return. Think very popular do to position ! Also don't like to be told to tip and by how much (service charge auto added to bill) paying for staff wages while the owner makes profit !

Great location by the river. Rooms small but has all that you will need. A little warm after a sunny day. Great breakfast, good choice, and speedy service. Very busy in the evening. Good menu and stand of food was excellent. Service a little challenging, but they were rushed off their feet!

Wonderful place to stay or visit. Room was perfect with view of the Severn. Not too far away for parking and town centre. Staff at hotel were fantastic and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with a varied menu. Will definitely be back, cannot fault❤️

Lovely place to loose a couple of hours sitting by the river

Food was average but expensive. Ordered a Ribeye steak £28 only to be told chips would be extra when the bill arrived I had been charged £4.50 for a bowl of ordinary chips. The vegetables were a few tomatoes so could only presume I would have had to pay extra for that as well. Not even the sign of a mushroom. A glass of wine was £7.50!!! Sorry but will not be returning any time soon. I do wish these restaurants would get away from Nouvelle cuisine style food, they charge twice the price for half the quantity for the starter.

Went after a day at the cricket which is close by. Lovely meal overlooking the River Severn. Nice wine and an excellent meal in a quiet but comfortable atmosphere. I imagine it would be excellent for a date night. Not cheap but not extortionate. The menu was excellent and well presented. Good wine too, although there was a selection of beers, cocktails and mocktails available. Outdoor seats looked good but settled on inside as it was getting late. Overall very positive and will bear in mind next time I am in Worcester.

Always amazing especially on a sunny day, food 10/10 and always a great selection, service friendly fast and poliet, views and atmosphere can't rate highly enough. One of Worcesters highlights.

This place is vast it was full of diners we sat outside overlooking the river Severn taking in the Sun. Only went inside for the toilet but what a place absolutely stunning decor and huge ..a bit expensive but then you do pay for quality.

Went there as a group for a birthday celebration and stayed the night. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and breakfast was super. The rooms were beautiful and the riverside views were great.

Had excellent dinner spoilt by very loud music. Conversation practically impossible without shouting.
