Took our grandchildren for dinner and were served by Laura, she was so welcoming and patient with the children and when there was a slight problem with one of the meals, she dealt with it so efficiently. Our meals were very much enjoyed but it was all such a lovely evening because of the warm welcome by Laura

Shown to a back room table as the whole restaurant was empty and ordered meal and drinks at same time . It took the chef 50 minutes to cook meal then the food arrived my chips were cold and my mother in law Susan meal was not cooked right and the food was cold the staff stood around talking and drinking at there service station. We complained and there took £15 off bill but will never go back .we have just moved back to Willingdon and this restaurant as gone down hill . Did not like the rude remarks the waitress said to me when l complained about my chips very rude .

The waitress was really good,helpful and nothing was to much for violet. The food was great. We had a ultimate mix grill to share. Plenty of food for two people.

Popped into this harvester for a Bite to eat and was served by the lovely Sam. She was very friendly and looked after us well. We chose to get 3 individual unlimited salads and 4 small plates to share. The small plates were lovely and were a decent size. Got my hot honey chicken boxed up to bring home as we couldn’t finish them. Everywhere was clean and the tables were cleared very quickly. Lovely Harvester and lovely staff ( especially Sam)

My hubby and I went in for a drink, but decided to have dinner, staff are amazing food was okay and inoffensive , but nothing to shout about. The salad bar could do with fresher offerings.

We went here for Sunday lunch on 4th August. There were 7 adults and 5 young children. The long table was in a good place for a large family gathering. I wanted to write a review to say how the waitress made it such a pleasant experience. She was friendly, cheerful and patient when we were ordering. Service to the table was good too. The food was a good standard. It was just right for a family get together with young children.

I absolutly love the food here! I recommend to all. Quick service. Service with a smile. Reasonable price. Great quality of food. Lovely place for a family gathering. Great for children. Buffet salad was lovely. I also had passionfruit martini and it was to die for. I enjoyed my bbq ribs. Staff was lovely. Mike the head chef & mark in the kitchen were amazing. Food was so nice. Had coffee here this morning, hadnt been in years. Just had to write review as Alisha the waitress was just outstanding. Had a family member in a wheelchair and Alisha was straight at the door to assist. Naturally friendly and thoughtful, as well as absolutely professional. Give this lovely young lady a bonus! Will definitely come again for a meal next time.

Ordered Ricotta & Spinach in pasta shells in tomato and herb sauce. This was absolutely delicious and more. My friend had Bird & Turf and he said he could not fault it. The staff were lovely, helpful. Our waitress was so nice jolly she would brighten anyone’s day

Fourth time visiting, this time for daughter's 18th birthday. Food was gorgeous as always and was timed very well. Nice clean environment. Server Alisha was amazing, very very funny. She figured if she could have fun with us and once she figured that out there was no stopping her. Never had a meal where we have laughed so much! Made it memorable!

Literal smashing experience! Our server Sam was lovely upsold naturally and an absolute asset to the team. Food was prompt, hot and delicious. There was one girl (who was lush) who I couldn’t see a name tag but I have picture proof. Whoever she is deserves a pat on the back, raise and a promotion because she is a true natural at her job! I had no complaints or faults and would recommend hitting up this classic spot. Everything hit the mark. 10/10!<3

A lovely lunch enjoyed here. The seating is mostly cosy and nice decor. The menu is varied and average prices. The parking is plentiful and easy access. Our waitress was extremely pleasant.

It's a Harvester, you know what you're in for. The furniture could do with a bit of a spruce up. Staff fine, food fine. Waiting time fine.

Cold, dark, untidy. Not clean tables! When eventually we ordered our food and it came out we had to send back! The waitress was good but a bit away with the fairy’s. However this wasn’t a dig at the wait staff but the incompetence of the kitchen staff for not cooking food or not noticing moldy bread! One of my sons had the scrambled egg on toast and I sent that back as the toast was blue with mold! Myself and my partner both had the chicken flatbreads hers had a hair in it! And my chicken was so pink you could have used a defib and it would have been clucking again! I have not visited this establishment as of the many Terrible reviews and the food hygiene rating being so low and having read before that there was rats! I will safely say I will never come back and would definitely not recommend!! Stay away if you want to stay alive

Ich war dort mit meinen Freunden zum Abendessen und hatten am Dienstag nicht reserviert, dennoch haben wir sofort einen Tisch direkt neben der großen und wunderbaren Salatbar. Das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet und war super und man konnte immer sein Glas wieder auffüllen und man bekam sogar auch Eis zum kühlen dazu, wenn man wollte. Im Allgemeinen ist das Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen.

We booked a table online to dine at this beautiful atmospheric restaurant on the way home after a long tiring and enjoyable off day with my parents and family. We are so pleased as we had an amazing dining experience and can't wait to return sometime in the near future. As soon as I we arrived we were greeted by a very nice young lady who took us straight to our table, took our drinks order & who then looked after us for the duration of our visit, we ordered the freshly battered cod & chunky chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce, chargrilled chicken skewers, whole tail Whitby scampi, chicken classic burger, dirty fries. The salad bar looked fresh and fully stocked, then when our meal arrived, it was as delicious as it sounded & cooked to perfection! We eventually had some coffees, overall an amazing experience for my parents too & excellent value for money.

Wow. What wonderful harvester. Service excellent staff brilliant. Well looked after. Got steak and dessert on special deal. Recommend this and lancing harvester. And haywards heath harvester. They put customer first and it’s awesome service.

It's several years since we last visited a Harvester, and after this experience it will be a long time before we even consider returning. After a day out and feeling hungry we decided to eat at this Harvester purely on the basis that we were passing. We waited to be seated, and although several staff were walking around it took a few minutes before we were attended to. As we were taken to a table I asked if we could sit on a table with a sofa seat due to my wife being disabled and these being more comfortable for her. I was informed that none were available and that the empty table with the sofa seat was in fact booked. We ordered food and drink and I went off to the salad bar. It didn't look overly appealing, but it was ok, nothing special, just a simple salad. My wife's rotisserie chicken looked very similar to the M&S half a cooked chicken and to be honest, my wife would probably have preferred the M&S version. Although my wife's jacket potato was hot, the chicken and green beans were warmish at best. My mixed grill had cold chips and over cooked, luke warm meat. The waitress asked me if I wanted fresh chips, but I asked for a whole new meal. This meant a 15 minute wait for my food, so a "couples" meal resulted in us eating on our own, which is a pet hate of my wife - after all, if we wanted to eat on our own, we would have gone out on our own. My new meal was not much better. Luke warm chips and slightly less overcooked meat. I was now at the point where I couldn't be bother to waste anymore time, and was hungry, so I persevered and ate my lukewarm overcooked meal, although whilst I find lukewarm "doable", I do draw the line when the chips and peas become cold. The rump steak was far too bloody for a medium cooked steak - the only item that was not overcooked - and so chewy that I had a challenge to try and pull it out of between my teeth. We were asked by the waitress how our meals were to which we replied "not great", to which she apologised. The table next to us, with a party of 6, had left a lot of food, and seemed to have a similar experience to us as they complained about their food. I also remarked on a very dirty looking bin lid that was in my line of view on the service desk by the side of our table, about 2-3 feet away, and said that it didn't enhance the overall eating experience. This lid had been there for the whole of the time we had been seated. The waitress replied that it was more likely rust, rather than dirty, but didn't move the lid at all, just left it where it was. I'll let you make your own judgement from the photograph as to whether it is rusty or dirty. Whilst waiting for the bill we could overhear a couple of waitresses talking whilst sitting behind us at a table filling up condiments. In the opinion of one particular one young lady, she couldn't understand why people who are fussy don't order something more simpler than steak as steak is one of the hardest things to get right. You have to ask yourself if this is their experience with regards to serving customers with steak dishes in this particular establishment. If it is, maybe the chef needs further training or replacing? Usually when you have a poor experience in a restaurant there is the offer of free deserts, drinks on the house or a meal removed from the bill. Nothing was offered by our waitress. Thankfully the Blue Light card discount softened the expense. We both left with queasy feeling stomachs, which had not improved by the time we got home. As for the bench seat table that we were unable to use due to being book, that remained vacant for the whole time we were in the restaurant. At least the bread roll was pleasant, and at this time of rising food costs, it was nice to see Lurpak still being provided. Sadly though, the bread roll and Lurpak were the only high points.

Really low standards, even for a Harvester, service was rude, salad bar almost empty, table and floor dirty and sticky, ignored "offers", food was mediocre (which is the reason for a 2 rather than a 1 star)

Had to ask for menus. Staff refused to honour menu options Overcharged, then when we tried to fix it, menu deals were taken off so were still charged wrong. Dirty toilets

You know what to expect at a Harvester, cheap & cheerful but not quality. Our meals were okay, some items of meals did not arrive on the plate so we pointed this out. By the time the missing items arrived our meals were virtually over....
