We actually tried this a couple of times on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We shared/ had the Coronation chickpea, mango chutney coriander and lettuce in ciabatta and the Superfood salad with homemade hummus. We got both with the £10 meal deal which included a big cake bar and a small coffee, therefore £20 in total. The sandwich was that good that I thought it would be good to take back with us on our (as it turned out) 10-hour trip back to Huddersfield and indeed that sandwich and the carrot cake (rose cake for my son) were great and was a total bonus on our cross-country train.

Delicious food and very reasonable prices for Cornwall. The iced coffee was one of the best I’ve ever had and I make coffee for a living! Vegan options were really good too! It’s nice to have more than 1 thing to choose from

A lovely little tearoom, excellent for vegans too. Our vegan son wanted a Cornish cream tea and they went all-out for us, including finding a quieter location, turning the music down slightly and making sure a table was free after we called in an booked a little earlier in the day. The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent. My wife and i had seafood dishes both of which were gorgeous.

Great spot. Clean and friendly cafe. Quick and efficient service. Lunch time visit we had the brunch roll, ploughmans sandwich and tart of the day, all good portions. Flapjack, banacake, french chocolate souffle cake delicious. Definatley return and highly recommend.

Had lunch here today for 3 people. Clean and friendly service, greeted with a smile. We arrived just before 12 and seated immediatly, orders taken quick and the food and coffees served within 15 minutes although not overly busy, they had steady traffic. We ordered the ploughmans sandwich, brunch roll and the tart of the day, all 3 were of good portions. Followed by flapjack, banana cake and french chocolate souffle cake all delicious. Great cafe will be returning thankyou, and highly recommend.

Exceptional food, drinks and cakes in a welcoming, homely atmosphere. We were fgortunate enough to get a table on a busy saturday, there was soon a queue outside. Well priced and whoever bakes those cakes is a legend!

Lovely service, appealing menu and upbeat vibe. Gorgeous coffee. Only 3 star as food was surprisingly disappointing. Flatbreads were horrible (stale/undercooked), both dishes were a bit stingy with the toppings, and lamb was tough. Wouldn’t go back.

Me and my partner ate here this morning for breakfast we ordered the big meaty breakfast ironic name as it was a standard size for a breakfast with no extra meats, the bacon was overcooked. Potatoes were undercooked and the eggs tasted like someone had dropped a spice rack over them I had an americano that was disappointing and had weird lumps in it. My partner had a tea that was disappointing. I have no idea how you screw up making a cup of tea. Possibly the dishes had not been done properly or out-of-date products. My plate had a sharp chip in it. And on top of all that the service was rubbish they were more interested in talking about their personal life than serving their customers. I got confused as they told us it was table service but then didn't bother to come to our table and then afterwards turns out you have to go up there to pay so it's not really table service. And after all that I get an overpriced bill. The only good thing was the mushrooms. They were delicious. We won't be returning and I will not recommend this place to anyone

This is a lovely cafe with really tasty food, a huge range of gluten free & vegetarian options too. There could be improvements with the service but maybe it was an off day for them as they did appear to be busy. Would return regardless for the banging food.

Going on the positive reviews we were expecting a good breakfast. My egg and bacon roll had a small smear of brown sauce underneath. I can put my own on if allowed which you aren’t. The bacon was overcooked and the egg was crispy, exactly how I don’t like them. My Husband’s full breakfast was equally unenjoyed. Providing a napkin would have been helpful. The toilet being situated in the middle of the kitchen seemed a tad unhealthy Not terrible but definitely well below average. Staff were very pleasant. People were queuing outside, I really would not bother.

The food was excellent but service was a bit haphazard. We were seated pretty quickly in a busy Tuesday lunch time during term time, it took ages to get some menus - we got up and asked if we could take some as it was taking so long. There wasn’t really any service with a smile, they were so rushed off their feet that food and drink were almost thrown down on the table. We could hear the chef shouting at the staff in the back too. Despite this, the food really was great. The jerk chicken on a flat bread was very filling, a little spice and accompanied well. The brunch sandwich was a decent size and made with excellent ingredients. The child jacket potato was also cooked well and even though it said it was half a jacket it turned up a full one! The cakes on the counter looked amazing and we would have ordered one if we weren’t so full from our lunch!

After stumbling off the sleeper train to Penzance my partner and I hauled ourselves to this cafe, where we indulged in brunch and b&e rolls. They also had a really gorgeous display of baked goods. Bit pricey perhaps but excellent quality of food and service! Loved the bustling yet cosy atmosphere.

I ordered a full veggie breakfast, very nice. I would have given 5 stars but wasn’t keen on the factory produced synthetic sausage. Suggestion; try making them from a mix of mash potato and veg. Coffee was very good

Went in here on the off chance for a cream tea . However were told they only had a few scones left so ordered one . Waitress forgot the other order of lemon cake . Had to ask for serviettes . Cheap jam . And to top it off customer toilets are located in the cafe kitchen. Won’t be going back

Great! Absolutely great. I love cakes, and I had here some of the most delicious cakes ever. Gluten free options, amazing. I’m my stay in Cornwall I went there every day. I will miss the place.

It’s a shame this isn’t closer to our home, otherwise I would visit more often. The food was excellent!

Lovely vegan friendly eatery open from 2nd breakfast to tea. Can’t praise the vegan cream tea enough. Please deliver those heavenly scones to London! Of course the next best thing to vegan cream tea is vegan cream tea takeaway, eaten on the coastline near Land’s End :P The vegan big breakfast was amazing as well. The beans were flavored well and the broadbeans were lovely. The vegan pesto on the toast was luxurious.

Das Honey Pot liegt am Rande der Innenstadt. Es eignet sich perfekt für den Start in den Tag. Es ist richtig gemütlich eingerichtet und die Auswahl an Essen ist toll, für jeden ist etwas dabei, egal ob mit oder ganz ohne tierischen Zutaten. Und es ist alles lecker. Dazu gibt passend einen sehr freundlichen Service, wirklich toll.

Brilliant place, amazing food, LOTS of (simultaneously) gluten-free and vegan options including sweet treats. Great attentive service as well, would definitely come back.

They were able to accommodate my gluten-free and dairy free request. Their vegan cheese was actually good, and they have a lot of tea options if you are not into coffee. I wish I was not in a gluten-free diet cause everything looked amazing!!

We stopped in Penzance on a drive from St. Ives around to Lands End and just googled somewhere to pop in for lunch. Couldn’t have imagined how wonderful the food would be in this cute little unassuming cafe! I had coronation chickpea in a ciabatta with a cauliflower soup and my husband had a crab sandwich with tomato and basil soup and all of it was just about as tasty as food can be! We took a generous slice of banana bread away with us to keep us going on our travels! Couldn’t recommend highly enough! We have saved it for next time.

Hadn't booked & grateful to be seated without having to wait. Healthy menu impressive. I mean a chai Hot choc! & chai tiffin to take away. Not to mention the tasty butternut soup & sourdough. Atmosphere buzzing but not intrusive. God willing will return.

A busy , bustling cafe with a lovely atmosphere and yummy food.. I had a vegan cream tea and and my wife had a slice of carrot cake, both very nice together with friendly staff . Would recommend a visit if you're ever in Penzance.

This place is such a little gem. We visited on a really wet day when I was losing hope of finding a nice place to eat with the family. As soon as we walked in it felt cozy and homely and the food was absolutely amazing. I can honestly say it was the best food I’ve eaten out in a long time. Well done guys, beautiful job.

Felt slightly uninviting when told we couldnt just get coffees on a Sunday afternoon, 1 hour before closing. High prices for Penzance. Prefer other local establishments. Would be good to impress family or friends with a Sunday roast.

Had tbe Dahl for lunch today. Absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and healthy to boot. I ate alone, but felt very comfortable. Fast service, polite and efficient.

What a fantastic place. Really small inside so gets a little cramped but the food was awesome and our servers couldn’t have been nicer. From the full English breakfast to the wonderful cakes with beetroot, everything on our table for 8 was polished off with big smiles.

Visited on Monday having read good reviews. Enjoyed a nice coffee and cake/breakfast. The plum, honey and almond cake moist and tasty, and the sausage & egg ciabatta hit the spot! Could do with a bit more room between tables, and had to ask for various bits of cutlery, sugar and napkins, but all provided through the friendly staff.

Context: Stumbled across this place, hungry on a Sunday lunchtime while in the city. Cosy and warm. Positives: Excellent food, friendly services. Good wifi. I had a tuna jacket potato which was huge! And came with two brilliant salads. Negatives: Time-wise, I think we were lucky to get a table. They close very early and turned away many people after us. Summary: Well worth a visit. I wish this place was always in walking distance from my house.

Amazing spot in the center of Penzance. The food and drinks were outstanding. The service was very friendly and warm. I wish I had a cafe close to home that was this cozy and welcoming. And again, the food was amazing and the best we had in Cornwall with lots of GF options. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

We had a lovely lunch at the Honey Pot which has options for everyone, vegan, veggie, gluten free and meat lovers! The drinks were delicious, we had a chai latte and a chai hot chocolate along with a crab sandwich and pulled pork burrito. The staff were friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome!

Lovely cosy cafe with a good range of food and very friendly staff. We had lunch, and the quantity was such we we're too full to have one of their great looking cakes. We are heading back tomorrow for coffee and cake!

Had a lovely breakfast at the Honeypot, would definitely recommend it to friends and family, they were super accommodating and given that our younger is allergic to dairy the extensive vegan choices really helped satisfy the needs of our family as there was something for everyone

Lovely staff and cozy café with allergy-friendly options. Amazing chai latte!! However, we did not enjoy the 'meaty big breakfast' as the potatoes and the sausage were super dry and not tasty.

A cute little cafe with good selection of foods and drinks. Service was initially friendly but not sustained after our orders were taken. Getting attention to order more drinks was tough so we didn’t and went somewhere else. Worth it for the beautiful scones and old English charm.

Stumbled across the honey pot whilst on holiday, the food was amazing and the service was excellent, I would highly recommend visiting, great kids menu options (and kid friendly) Cakes were all voted 10/10 from all at the table 👌

Such a superb little place. Friendly staff, super tasty food, massive portions and a great menu. Really great for vegan and gluten free but catering for all. I wasn't keen on the vegan clotted cream though. Also we struggled a bit with the noise level which is mostly inevitable with a small place but moving the coffee grinder to the kitchen would help - it is so so loud. But minor things, we loved this place and would highly recommend.

Het eten was absoluut geweldig! Echt heel erg de moeite waard hier te komen eten. Vanwege de drukte was het personeel vriendelijk maar niet erg klantsensitief. Enige minpuntje is de acoustiek, wat luidruchtig. Maar dit is zeker een must voor je bezoek aan Penzance.

Great cafe tucked away in a side street in Penzance. When I visited the staff were still doing breakfast but they very kindly made me sandwich to take away as I was travelling back to Edinburgh. And what a sandwich it was, a delicious ploughman's packed with cheese, pickles, ham and salad. I also had one of their amazing brownies. The place is very popular and often has queues of people waiting but I can understand why, it is very good and I would highly recommend.

Tolle Scones, leckerer Café und Tee. Essen schaut auch toll aus. Sehr freundlich, sehr urban. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Highly recommend coming here for lunch, coffee, and cake. Staff are very friendly and food is of high quality, great range, healthy, tasty, and good portion size. They are child friendly with a nice old wooden high chair. There were queues out the door so I recommend you book on a weekend. They also had a good brunch menu.

Lovely little cafe. Very popular. Get there 9.34 and cafe was open 9.30 and was already full. People were queuing outside. They have take away options. Gone there twice as we loved 1st time experience. Quite expensive- 4 adults and child for breakfast it's about £80, but great food quality. Friendly staff.

I had high hopes for this cafe as I chose it to celebrate my birthday breakfast. The menu was straightforward, but I felt that the food was overpriced. However, the cafe itself had a cozy and rustic vibe.

This was a lovely little café in a small quite side street in the centre of Penzance. They have a good selection of teas, coffees and other drinks as well as a nice variety of food, all,I believe, freshly cooked on the premises. The staff were quite friendly but a little standoffish and only conversed with a couple of regulars that were in at the time. If you are looking for a quiet drink or small bite to eat in peace then the Honeypot is good. Oh, they also sold Baker Tom’s bread which is one of the best sour doughs I know of.

The pastries are very good but the problem is the cleaning. Plates are dirty , knives dirty..

It was simply amazing and I regret not coming here earlier but only at the end of my holiday. Everything was showing so much love, and care, and attention to details. The staff looked genuinely happy to work here, so kudos to the management for this shiny little gem. Ah, and there's a cat!!! Love it 💕

The Honey Pot is great and you only need to walk past it during the day to see how popular it is! It's amazing how they're able to cram so many people into different fun shaped nooks, there's always a great atmosphere in there and the food is great. My only criticism is the toilet situation. It feels a unloved and you have to go through the kitchen to get there, which is a little strange. I appreciate that feedback is a bit unfair because the team is doing the best they can with the space they have. It looks like some exciting developments are on the horizon which might resove that?

We love this place so much that we visited it twice during our stay in Penzance! The cream tea is to die for, the breakfast roll and poached eggs are great too! But what we love the most is the staff’s friendly smiles! A solid five star from me!

Kleines Cafe mit einer alternativen Auswahl abseits von Eiern, Speck und Würstchen. Ob vegan oder nicht vegan hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten. Kaffee perfekt, Tee perfekt. Dazu warme fluffige Scones. Ein besonderer Start für einen besonderen Tag.

Excellent town centre cafe with home cooked dishes such as Homity pie and spicy lentil soup. Very nice cakes for pudding. Friendly helpful staff. Cream tea is excellent.

We went there twice during our Bank Holiday weekend in Penzance. Pleased to see so many options for vegans like me. My Vietnamese noodle salad was OK, but I quickly realised they had forgotten the tofu (which would have made it very expensive!!) They promptly brought a bowl of cold, diced tofu (and did the same for the nearby table - maybe the person in the kitchen hadn't been told about all the ingredients?) Anyway it was a bit bland but filling. My ginger smoothie was too strong for me, I had to add water to it! My partner enjoyed his halloumi sandwich. We decided to come back 2 days later to try other items on the menu - this time I absolutely LOVED my vegan sandwich! It had vegan feta instead of halloumi, and the chili jam was incredible. We also found the soup of the day (dahl) really yummy. We ended up staying for 2+ hours as it was so rainy outside. We had incredible desserts, both vegan: banana bread with chocolate spread, and lemon, mint and elderflower cake. We also had herbal tea. All in all it is a cosy place, although it is a victim of its success: very busy, which meant that we had to wait quite a long time for service. You also have to walk through the kitchen to go to a small toilet. Not ideal, but I can see that they are planning to update this! It is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you're looking for fresh veggie/vegan options.
