Ideal cafe right next to the beach with plenty food and drink options.

We rang them up at about 18.45 to ask if they could fit us for a table for two at there supper club tonight and they said to come straight along and they would find us a table, we arrived at about 19.10 and they asked us to wait about 10 minutes while they set the table. In the meantime we ordered a drink and were then shown to our table, we ordered two Camembert with garlic, onion relish and sourdough toast which was delicious. This was followed by sea bass on a bed of courgettes with roast potatoes which my wife said was really delicious, I opted for the beef stroganoff served on a bed of tagliatelle with sourdough garlic bread, the whole dish was exceptional. We both had a sweet I had the bread and butter pudding with fresh cream, one of the best bread and butter puddings I have ever had, my wife had ice cream a mixture of coconut and chocolate chips and morello cherry both locally made and full of flavour. A big thank you to the Blackrock team for their excellent food and service.

Had the great value 2 course lunch on the Tuesday. It was very tasty and excellent value too. We had breakfast on the Thursday before heading home. Again, this didn't disappoint. Service was good and staff were friendly and helpful. We were a 3 generation family with a toddler and 4 dogs. We all felt very welcome.

Great reasonably priced lunch. Tuna mayo baguette with side salad and a coffee. Efficient and friendly service. Perfect location for parking and the lovely beach.

We only had affogato and it was good. Lovely view, great location.

Have used this cafe many times over the years but latest visit soured by the manner of one of the staff - lady in30s with hair in pony tail who got very grumpy because we had to check whether someone wanted a wafer cone or a tub of ice cream! Really no need for the attitude. We will be back as the other staff were great.

Ice cream was tasty and portions matched the price. Unfortunately coffee was undrinkable. Portafilter clearly too hot and adjusted and over extracted. As a result, the cappuccino was too watery and bitter + too hot.

My Son and I came across this Cafe after crabbing on Black Rock beach. It is a bustling place which seem's very popular for food, which looked very good. Lovely little shop area selling beach item's and gifts. Reasonably priced. The Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good. You can sit inside or out and it is dog friendly. I only had a pint of Rattler, but would consider eating here next time. My cider on draft was £5.50 which seem's to be the average going price here. Lovely touch was a guy playing his guitar and singing some old classic's on a little outdoor stage. A place you could easily sit out at for a couple of hours with the entertainment. Recommend if you are in the area and much nicer and cheaper than the other Cafe further along the same beach.

I went with my family and spent two days at the beach near Black rock cafe. The parking lot is very close to the beach. At the cafe you can also buy soft drinks, coffee and tea and ice cream. I ordered takeaway and I didn't have to wait long to receive my order. The toilet is accessible until late in the evening. We really liked this location. We will come back here again.

Nice little cafe right on black rock beach. Food choice and quality was very good. It can get busy, and the wait on food can be quite long so make sure you plan ahead especially if eating with hangry kids! Dog friendly too

Stunning breakfast, proper ingredients no corners cut!

Didn't go in the cafe but their car park is very convenient for the beach. Man in a hut takes your money as you enter. £5 for two hours, £7 all day. I'd have preferred cheaper shorter time slots but I guess it's very popular in the height of summer, whatever the price, as it's a great beach.

Kids enjoyed an ice cream, plenty of flavours to choose from. Seating areas a little tight but did not ruin the visit. Staff were friendly.

Another return visit..had to wait for order as very busy, but it was a Bank holiday...and staff busy too ....Will be back. Dog 🐕 friendly as well. 🙂🐾

Good points are the location is great and the burgers were delicious. Bad point was a member of staff (female in her 50s) raising her voice with my five year old who had gone ahead of me into the toilet block whilst wearing a wet suit. "NO WETSUITS IN HERE." she shouted. Left a bitter taste in my mouth. At her age she should know better. In contrast the young girl serving us was lovely and very polite.

The food here is always lovely and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are always clean and well maintained.

Had a lovely roast and dessert for 12.50. Service was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel welcome the minute we arrived. Food was brilliant and good value for money, highly recommend.

Excellent food especially full English breakfast and cakes some friends i know have a place near by and go there a lot for breakfast then you can go for a walk on the beach there is a stand by the beach where you can borrow a litter grabber and bag if you wish and pick up any bits of string or plastic or anything else that is harmful to birds,animals ect which I think is a good idea.🚶🙂👍

October 17th Lovely lunch of a BLT baguette and cheesy chips. Lovely friendly service and hardly any wait. Nice portion size and the mocha I had was one of the best I've tasted. Very reasonably prised.

Great cafe with delicious cake & food served. Only four stars as our cakes took a while to come out but the cafe was very busy. Plenty of seating outside so lots of folk to talk too while we waited. Great place to eat if you have dogs as these are made very well. Love this place & come often as live local. Right on the beach so you can go for a swim or walk on the beach then hit the beautiful cakes afterwards. We didn't eat a meal but what was coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

Had some delicious food here at a good price. The chips were superb.. My goat's cheese and red onion chutney ciabatta was delicious and cooked perfectly. The side salad and coleslaw were fresh and tasty. The food came quickly and was nice and hot. I couldn't fault any aspect. Our dog was made very welcome. My partner ordered a child's meal as a light bite and it was big. Enjoyed interacting with Rocky the cockatoo outside. The tables and cutlery were all nice and clean. The staff were all friendly. We definitely recommend this cafe and will return.

I ate here twice for lunch and both meals were excellent. The baguettes are full of filling and very tasty. I also had the chilli nachos which were excellent value for money, loads of topping and tasted great. Great place to stop and watch the world go by whilst hubby was body boarding.

Always a great place for a filling breakfast. Park at Widemouth's free hill top car park, walk down the coast path, across a beach and up to this fab cafe. (Don't worry it's only about 15-20 minutes walk). Food is great. Service is also great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food wait-times are pretty sure, even when they're busy. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great food, good service, well located. Shame the parking is so little without paying the cunningly-priced charge for the car park, but I suppose most visit as part of the beach visit.

Simply wonderful ! excellent food , Excellent Value , excellent staff equals winning formula - other establishments in Cornwall need to come and see how it’s done ? Not surprised they have been in business 40 years ! Wonderful location but not greedy fleecing unsuspecting visitors - people will come back when you have great value , great food and great people - we keep coming back says it all really doesn’t it ?

Iv been there different times of the year and the staff are always fantastic iv been a waitress and I know how hard a job it is especially when it's bissy. Great place great food good price's close to the beach and close to the road.

Me and I my partner ordered burgers and they were brilliant, also had the sweet potato fry’s and milkshakes. Which came to around £25 I think isn’t bad.

So this is a target market as there is a pay car park to the beach with the cafe. The service was on point! We’d Had a busy beach day as the only sunny day in a week, they were rushed off their feet but were slick with it! No stress and great quality food! There was no greasy spoon anywhere in site! Very reasonably priced too !

Friendly people and great location just off the beach. Having walked 4 miles from Bude, was ready for a scone and coffee! Great scone with lots of jam. Wife had cheese scone which was loaded with cheese. Latte was very good, though they only have one size. I would have liked a large option! All very good though. That was out of season.

I popped in for lunch with my family and found it to be delightful. The staff were friendly especially the lovely man at the entrance to the car park. The food was great, definitely better than a lot of places that do lunch.

We went for breakfast. Two full english breakfasts were had. Really poor quality. Toast was cold and butter colder! The sausage was deep fried and had a skin drier and thicker than my trainers! ‘Fried’ tomato was a luke warm raw tomato! And the ketchup.....

We went there for breakfast which was very nice, only didn't like the sausage, it was dry. We purchased few of the pictures they have for sale, made by a local lady. Great souvenir to take home. Lovely service as well. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely veggie full English breakfasts. Great hot chocolate and flapjack. The portions were bigger than expected and value for money. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, love that dogs are welcome and our dog got treats from the staff.
