The Hogget in Hart

A first visit to the Hogget meeting a friend for lunch. It was a good decision as there was plenty of parking, a warm greeting when we arrived and good service throughout. There was a very good lunch menu and the Black and Bleu burger was very enjoyable.

Had sunday dinner looked nice..shame I had the Yorkshire thing 😞 no idea why that's even a thing... only gad it as was told no roast dinners left just to see other people order roast... o well the ribs are nice 😋

My husband and I are regulars. So much so that we feel like we're part of the family 🤣 Absolutely love Jake and the team, they are so accommodating, super friendly. Doesn't matter the time you go there is always a vibe. Delicious food, great selection of drinks (alcoholic and not), treats & water for the doggos. Could not recommend them more! You absolutely have to stop here even if it's just for a drink. You'll not be disappointed.

I rarely leave bd reviews, however, this place was one of the most disappointing Sunday roast dinners I’ve had since my nan sadly passed away in 2019. Her dinners were crap back then. This wasn’t much better. The portions were minuscule and looked like they had been served with teaspoons, I counted ONE stork of broccoli and a cubic inch of stuffing. The chicken however was moist and succulent, not like my nans used to be–very dry and course to swallow. Next up was the attitude of the customer service. Diabolical. Abrupt, rude, and inattentive was the order of the afternoon. Lunch took almost 50 minutes and desert over 30 minutes—apparently everyone had “ordered at the same time”, funny that, being a pub that serves a Sunday roast? Anyways, we were out of town visitors today and should we visit again, we’d probably be more successful milking the local alpacas if we get hungry.

Love The Hoggets burgers, Sunday roasts looked amazing too. friendly staff superb food and love the heated outside booths.

We go there for the quiz night but get there early to have a meal first. The food is good and the staff are friendly. They serve Ringwood ales, which are well kept. Well worth a visit.

Lovely Sunday Roast and local beers on sale

Impromptu lunch with friend on a Monday. Didn't realise kitchens close at 2pm and we arrived at 1:50. No worries. We were given a menu and our food order was taken, drinks brought to the table and all was good. Service excellent and the food was really good. We had the black and blue burger. Cooked well, tasty and prompt. Will be returning!

Stopped for lunch on the way home from holiday in Dorset. Food was really delicious especially the vegan option. I'm not vegan but had the Vegan BBQ Chickpea & Tahini Salad - so delicious. I would highly recommend. Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced. A must fir anybody passing.

Lovely pub, we sat in one of the little garden pods with a heater and it was really cute. Staff were happy and helpful, we arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and nothing was to much trouble. Food was hot, tasty and with good choices. Really enjoyed our evening, would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Lovely spot just off the M3. Beautiful garden full off flowers and nice little pods to sit in. Even if it gets chilly the pods have heaters. Sat inside with the family. Was greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome from the staff. Plenty of choices for the kids and adults. Food was delicious. Service was great, will definitely be back!!

Great visit to The Hogget. 6 of us booked and were greeted with a smile. Food was great and came out pretty fast even though the pub was busy. Will return when next in the area.

The pub is a traditional and modern blended together very well. It has a good atmosphere, I was here on a Monday evening and there were enough people around. The menu gives a good selection of starters, and a good selection of burgers. The food was very good and I will come back. The pub is dog friendly, it has a large patio area which is westerly facing but is next to the A30.

Decent food and staff very attentive no complaints will be back if passing in future

We cannot fault, we have been in many times and always a lovely experience every time. Decided to ask about a wake (celebration) for our mum. Mum always enjoyed a lager shandy. They could not have made it a more perfect day. opened a little early for us, Jake and his staff were most respectful, provided a small buffet, even a small vase of flowers on each table. We've been meaning to go here for a very long time as we pass it quite a lot. Everything was lovely and we weren't disappointed.

My husband and I went for lunch today 1st June. Lovely pub/restaurant. My husband had the duck wrap and dirty fries looked and tasted amazing. I had chicken and bacon salad which was very tasty. The croutons were lovely and crunchy and grated Parmesan cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was excellent and staff friendly. We have booked for next Sunday for a roast

We visited for a drink today. We received a warm welcome and the service was quick and courteous. We will definitely return, in order to sample one of the delicious sounding burgers.

Popped in here for a late meal arriving not long before they close their kitchen. Very accommodating staff. Quick service and a delicious meal all in a short time. Exactly what we needed. We've visited a few times previously and have always been more than satisfied with the food and service. Would definitely recommend it.

We both had a fish and chip meal. The service was excellent, and we were attended well. The spraying of furniture polish on the tables around us as people left created a strong sickly smell. The food was disappointing for the price. The fish was average at best, and chips not that hot.

Me and my Partner stopped by for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely faultless. The staff are super attentive and really friendly. Really beautiful vibe and atmosphere inside the pub, also the outside seating is perfect for a drink in the sun. Definitely worth a visit, we will be back!

I was taken here for my birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. It's not the cheapest place, but it's worth the money. I would not hesitate in recommding the Hogget for a nice meal.

First time in years I visited The Hogget, unfortunately the food was average. Calamari had soggy batter. Main course Chicken Chirizo again was OK. The bar staff were brilliant. Nice to enjoy dinner without shouting as atmosphere was relaxed.

Lovely pub with great service, table for nine and can honestly say it was all very good, great staff and good mix of music. Thanks, we will be back.🍻🥃🎂😁

We had a really good family meal here on Wednesday evening. The staff were lovely and weren't fazed about us not ordering until our last family member arrived, an hour late, due to an accident on the M3. All of our food was delicious and the bottle of wine was very reasonably priced. Although we don't live locally, we will definitely visit again when we are next meeting up with family.

Second visit here and this one didn't disappoint either. This time we had Sunday lunch I had leg of lamb and the other had the beef. Very good portion sizes with seasonal vegetables and of course Yorkshire puddings. Asked for extra gravy which of course was supplied. Try the home cooked pork scratching they are amazing too. Will be back for more soon.

Just dropped in for couple pints of 49er...... great Ringwood pint with great table service. Booked a table for dinner this evening....another of my favourite chicken burgers and pint of fantastic Ringwood 49er. Top marks again to both kitchen and front of house. Thank you all, see you soon. My wife and I returned to eat last Tuesday (cheap ale night). We both chose Dirty Chicken Burgers which proved possibly the best burgers we've had! This is a super pub. The staff are attentive and warm. The food was served promptly, and the atmosphere was great. There's a huge car park and the toilets are very clean.

Madeline and Alice were on shift when I came in stinking of hunger and tiredness. Made suggestions from the menu and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Great friendly atmosphere to wind down after a long day!

Four of us visited The Hogget last Friday for a meal. We waited over 45minutes for our starters. My friend thought his Calamari were inedible. We then had to endure another excessive wait for our burgers. When they came, they were very underwhelming. Two slivers of beef patties inside a burger bun that was stuffed with a wet mushroom and other indescribable items! The chips were OK, albeit a paltry amount served in a tin mug. The best part of the meal was the dessert! We won't be rushing back.

We knew it was popular when the car park filled quickly ! Lovely lunch - light vibes available - homemade ! Very good - thoroughly recommend !

Visited as a party of 3. Ordered Sunday roast and a round of drinks. Drinks arrived quickly and then we waited ages for the food to arrive. When the food arrived they had missed one of the roasts so one member had to wait even longer. We had to ask for cutlery and no one returned to ask if anyone wanted sauces with their meal. We were then offered if we would like to see the dessert menu. We again waited ages for anyone to return to take the order. It was then another long wait for it to arrive. The poor service and timing means we will never return, which is a shame as the food was OK. Luckily there are lots of options for eating out in the area for us to choose from.

Met friends there for lunch on Thursday. Large carpark, noticed on the way in there are some pods in the garden that look to be a new addition. Ringwood bitter for me they also have a good menu. Service was excellent and we will be going back again in the very near future.

Stopped for a family lunch on our way to Millers Ark Farm. We got a very warm welcome. Kids and adults all had burgers which were really tasty and cooked to perfection.. Also the halloumi soldiers were delicious. Lovely staff friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it - only wish we lived nearer and could go more often. Thanks for your lovely service

Booked a table last minute for a family catch up and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive without intruding. The food was lovely with something for everyone, the portions were generous and everyone enjoyed the meal. We also had our dog with us and The Hogget has water bowls and pots of dog treats for the dogs and we’re happy to bring water for the dog to the table. We will definitely be back.

If you ever go near the Hogget you've got to pull in !!! It's was out first visit today and wow !!! Absolutely blown away from the greeting to the service to the meal !!! Absolutely amazing!! And also dog friendly and very very clean everywhere!! We certainly enjoyed our visit.

Absolutely loved it, first visit although we've lived in hook 6 years.

Great venue by the river. The food was excellent but could only be ordered at the bar when you sat outside. The was very understaffed and hence always involved a 10 minute wait, which was very good for a business lunch meeting.

Absaloutly fantastic place. Food is amazing, staff are fantastic and the music is just perfect. I was staying ar a luxury country estate nearby and came here for lunch instead of there! Just hope I get to visit again one day.

What a great find, we were staying at tylney hall and stumbled upon this place. Greeted with a smile from a young girl who had a long blond plait and honestly from start to finish she was so helpful. Great food and service and the pods were a extra special touch.
