Amazing Tapas and service. What a superb eating experience, Best Tapas we have eaten, food was cooked to perfection and the presentation was excellent. This is THE best tapas restaurant and food experience we have ever experienced anywhere. We love tapas and it’s our go to meal of choice on holiday and at home. This hidden gem which has had a menu makeover and refurb in recent weeks is simply outstanding. A concise but varied menu and sensible prices is what helps make this work. The portions are generous, the quality and attention to detail is sublime and we ate 6 things from the menu, all superb. If that’s not enough the pudding was a wonderful ending too. Having a place like this is tastefully executed and the staff are so attentive. If we lived in Burford we d be eating here weekly. If anyone knows of a better tapas location in the uk better than this then please let me know. And if that’s not enough the toilets are brilliant with an awesome refit with very cheeky decor which made me smile…..can you spot it? The whole team including the kitchen needs a big back slap for creating a venue which is destined to be a gem of a place to enjoy……. I won’t be surprised if it gets difficult to book a table once the word is out so pay a visit soon. We will be back very very soon 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Loved it, stayed for one night with my mum (Christmas present to each other ) We checked in around 5pm after a look around the shops . Leanne checked us in and we saw her a few times during our stay and she was great ! The twin room we had was very nice . Immaculate with shower room & separate toilet , tea, coffee & biscuits, good beds & tv , hairdryer , dressing table and a nice view of the High Street. Great location and bar downstairs was cosy . We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. All in all a very enjoyable stay and will return .

The pie of the day was absolutely amazing. Could not fault the service. Compliments to the chef as well, apparently makes the pies !!!

Fantastic service with friendly staff. The chef is right at the top of his/her game, putting out a top quality menu. We all really enjoyed our meals. Stunning old building with a welcoming bar area. Attention to detail would’ve got this establishment 5 stars. Room laundry bags left out and toiles not up together sadly.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while Christmas shopping in the Cotswolds and Oxford. All Staff were so friendly and helpful. Thanks Lindsey for the extra attention. Rooms were fab, comfortable, nicely decorated and kitted out. It’s an old building so expect wobbly sloping floors and quirky Layout. Breakfast and dinner was superb. Freshly prepared food using local ingredients. Couldn’t fault any of the food we had. Good wholesome fair.

Possibly the best GF fish and chips I have ever had in a pub in the UK! The fish itself is huge, really fresh and with a thick golden batter. The chips are amazing and the mushy peas and tartare sauce delicious. Being gluten free this tends to be my go to so I have tried a lot, mainly in London and South and this is hands down the best. NB I originally wanted to have the roast which was listed as a GFO but the option was to remove the yorkshire pudding and the cauliflower cheese so I decided not to, but for any non GF guests, this also looked amazing - my BF had this and the yorkie is huge! Also the place is not crowded so we had a really nice lunch here - would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back on our next visit to the cotswolds.

Excellent stay with dinner at the Highway Inn in Burford. Lovely old building full of character - our room was spotless and very warm and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive - our waitress Leanne in particular - it was bin day and meant a very noisy removal of the bins being taken outside - so to minimise the disruption she entertained us diners with a dance routine - great fun enjoyed by us all!

Recently travelled to Burford in the Cotswold to just look around. Feeling peckish we started to look for somewhere to get a light lunch and came across The Highway Inn on the hill in the main street. Really welcoming on arrival. We both had the soup of the day, really delicious Cream of Celairiac with warm fresh toasted Focaccia. Followed up by Coconut Panna Cota with poached Rhubarb and Honeycomb, a really fabulous dessert. We had a couple of drinks and the whole bill including service charge came to £37.35 A very warm and welcoming traditional Inn, highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch a couple pints with a few mates, couldn't really fault the place, the staff were lovely and the area is just very picturesque.

Lovely spot - we ate outside in cute back garden area but the inside rooms looked really nice too. Food was excellent. Had the chicken breast and the lamb and both were really tasty. Would go back again!

A few days away in the Cotswolds. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Room was described as a “ cosy double “. It was. On the small side, however it was very clean. We had booked in for dinner the first night. The food was delicious. The eating area was the bar, even though they had a separate dining room which I never saw used. Cleanliness here was a lot to be desired though. After a very warm night, as we were in the middle of a heat wave, with only a fan in the room, we went down for breakfast. This was laid out on the bar itself, again, not in the dining room. Lots of pastries, fresh fruits and cereals were available. The lady bringing around the coffee, no pots per table, was very attentive. I asked if we could have a cooked breakfast, but was told this was not in the price of the room and that she could make some toast. Beautiful little village, lovely people, a tad noisy. I think the hotel could do with a bit of an overhaul as the public areas, the stairs ad in general we’re not very clean and a tad tired. Lovely bar maid in the evenings though.

We visited in April for an evening meal. It's clearly a very popular pub as it was extremely busy during our visit, nevertheless service was prompt & efficient and the staff were friendly & helpful. The food was tasty & filling. It was thoroughly enjoyable. We would definitely recommend and return.

We’ve had some delicious food in Burford but this was undoubtedly the best. Great portions, great menu, great ambiance and friendly, helpful staff. They were dog friendly and had a treat at the bar for the dogs. It was the last meal of the holiday and we couldn’t have asked for better.

Set on the High Street in the centre of Burford. We booked online a few weeks prior as we thought it would be very busy on a weekend in high season. Lovely menu choice of both food and wine. Service excellent and the food was well presented, tasty and hot. We had the lamb shank and the lemon & thyme chicken for mains followed by the Panna Cotta and the Lemon Cheesecake. All excellent - the greens served with the mains was just right too. Recommended!

Don't let the name put you off, this is a lovely, old, quaint and picturesque hotel in the middle of Burford. The room was a bit small and lacking in hooks behind doors, surfaces and storage, but the bed was super comfy and everything in the bedroom and bathroom worked. The bar and restaurant are welcoming and attractive. Teagan and Chlöe looked after us with charm and friendliness. Don't miss the museum opposite the hotel, and if it's still working, go on a guided tour starting from there at 2pm on Sundays.

Teigan was wonderful to us. She was very friendly and chatty. She made our visit very enjoyable and the meals were great. We would definitely come back.
