Love this little Deli and the Mocha is utterly fabulous (made with real chocolate). Carrot cake is also rather gorgeous!! Live in London now, but when I am back in Hereford its top of my list . Do yourself a favour....skip the chain coffee and head here.

Needed a business sandwich lunch delivered locally. Just perfect for a group of 20 people, and very reasonable too. Liz v happy for me to choose sandwiches fillings, which were well filled, lovely fruit platters and scrumptious cakes. Spot on, pleasure “doing business” with you Liz.

The staff at The Hereford Deli prepared an array of beautiful lunch bags for a team lunch. Everything was super organised and well thought out, we even had name labels on the food bags which really helped when it came to handing out lunch. The food was excellent and went down an absolute treat with the team. Overall, the staff at The Hereford Deli were found to be extremely pleasant and helpful and they were more than happy to accommodate and cater for our needs. A huge thank you for making our day a success. We will most definitely be back.

Very disappointing sandwich bought from here. Bread was very dry and meat was bland . Was expecting something better. Won't be rushing back, such a shame as right on the doorstep

Called in to get some lunch and it looked and smelt loverly. As a vegatarian not a vegan I enquired about the ingredients in the scotch egg. I was shocked to hear they contained parmasan cheese. Well parmasan cheese is definitely not suitable for vegetarians. And yes you can get vegatarian options they are not allowed to be called parmasan as parmasan cheese must contain calfs rennet to be called parmasan. Also meat products right next to vegatarian products. So afraid not suitable for me.

Wonderful quality and quantity of well priced and assorted foods which took care of allergies and a slightly odd brief of a gathering 'breakfast'. It was super with a mix of fruit, finger foods, cheese, ham and quality bread. Additionally, the catering team set up whilst we were in the service and provided the necessary plates and serving tools. Thanks very much to the team and the boss! Would warmly recommend this for a 'foodie' group who have been known to be fussy and particular. Really good!! Wonderful service and experience for a stressful event which made it all a bit easier

Called in for lunch as Marks and Spencer rammed due to half term. What a delight this little gem is ! A huge range of products to buy, pate, olives, cheeses, chutneys, pasta, the list goes on and on. We chose to lunch on freshly made smoked salmon sandwich with fresh crunchy bread with dill butter accompanied by fresh ground Italian roast flat white coffee. There's a couple of tables inside and we were fortunate to get one. This place must be visited if you love your food. The friendly and helpfull staff will guide you through the menus with a depth of knowledge that only comes with experience. Loved it and can't wait return. So long M&S !

Didn't eat in but had take away sandwiches which were delicious and good value. Had a bit of a wait as the lady was on her own and had customers eating in to attend to. Nice surprise therefore to be given free pieces of cake for any inconvenience. Nice touch and appreciated.

Fresh locally sourced food with real quality ingredients, sandwiches on freshly baked bread with plenty of choice for meats, cheese salad. Pies, sausage rolls and homemade cakes ok offer too. Recommend the orange chocolate cake or the chocolate fudge cake if they are in! The lady who runs it is so lovely and really adds to the charm of the place.

(The first review I wrote on this got deleted due to losing internet but I feel so strongly that I'm trying again!)The Deli is tucked away between two streets which makes for a quiet location. Quite cosy inside, not too many seats but this almost adds to the charm. The lady behind the counter is very friendly, and there is a great selection of sandwiches, salads and coffee on offer. All of the ingredients are prepared freshly and the price is great, too. 2.95 for a really decent sandwich. My girlfriend recommends the smoked salmon with dill butter! While you eat/wait be sure to browse all of the things on offer - some quite unusual food that you wouldn't find elsewhere, as well as a good selection of organic teas and coffees, pasta, flour etc.Don't miss out!

Sorry unimaginative title but it simply sums up the food! We are locals who hadn't visited this shop before but passed it en route to the car park and thought we'd pop in. The home made coleslaw is possibly the best I've ever tasted so I'll now be placing a regular order for this, the pork pies, (we had plain and a stilton variety) were very well made with no lumps of jelly, fat or gristle and nice crisp pastry, the bread was gorgeous, really tasty and is still as fresh a day later - again nice crusty outside and soft springy middle. We found the service really friendly and helpful even at the end of the day and as someone else has previously mentioned, staff very passionate about the produce. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I often pop in to grab something whether it be dried pasta (there's is the best you can find in Hereford), a scotch egg courtesy of a great butcher out past Leominster, or one of their freshly made sandwiches. Often I'll grab a table if one's available (only two!).Service is friendly, comfortable and quick. The food on offer is very good and the sandwiches are excellent. As is the proper hot chocolate I must add. Okay so it has deli prices but the quality is far better than what you'd get from Sainsburys for example.Shame they don't have a few more seats really but I see most people grabbing things during there lunch break so it's probably not an issue.Keep up the good work and thank you :)

Having recently moved To Shropshire, my husband and I decided to visit Hereford, after wasting some dull hours in the town itself ... we did not expect to come across this hidden gem. Tucked away and seculated Hereford Deli is a breath of fresh air. The food was delicious; all on fresh bread with homemade filling. It is clear they take pride and care in what they do. The cafe is lovely with a light bubbly atmosphere and jazz blasting out which we loved. To top it off if you ever do go ... Their hot chocolate is nothing to be compared to - best I have had in a long time. I highly recommend to anyone visiting Hereford to come here. It was in all honesty the highlight of our trip. Going to be returning incredibly soon and can't believe I haven't been before!

The Hereford Deli is the most amazing little deli in town. Their coffee is fabulous, the hot chocolate is amongst the best I have ever tasted (tip - go for a double scoop if you are a real chocoholic!) Liz and her team are really friendly, and Liz is really passionate about food. Whatever you pick for lunch - a well filled sandwich made with delicious local bread, or a homemade hearty soup - you can not go wrong. As many ingredients as possible are sourced locally, and Liz is so knowledgeable about where they have come from. And it is not overpriced. If you are looking for a great place for a light lunch, this is the place for you. And while you are in there, or can pick up something for dinner! One tip - phone your lunch order in early, as they get very busy over the lunch period and the wait can be long. That gets expensive, as there are so many lovely and unusual products that while you are waiting in the queue, you will have bought something else!Another tip - if you are stuck for gift ideas for any occasion, pop along. Liz will make up a hamper of local produce to whatever value you want, or there are delicious hand made chocolates.

If you are looking for somewhere to have a great sandwich, homemade soup or just a really good coffee-this is the place in Hereford. Not only do they source as much as possible from local producers but they are so keen to tell you about what they have and get you to try it.We had a bite there on Monday and my wife said that they sandwich she had was the best she had ever eaten-which probably means it's at least worth a look for anyone-she is pretty picky. For myself I go there regularly for what I think is one of the best lattes I have tasted and for the foodie atmosphere. Try it out-a cup of coffee isn't going to break the bank even in these hard times!

I absolutely love being in this place and it has a beautifully calm feel. However I am totally astonished by the dolls-house size servings for lunch- at normal lunch prices. I almost asked them if they hadn’t accidentally given me a kiddie’s portion - for a cheaper price- as for over £9 I got two slices of delicious small rye toast, about 7 very small lettuce leaves, 4 olives and a small pot of delicious dip. All very tasty but absolutely not a main course. I know I these are locally sourced ingredients but this felt really wrong. I will definitely return for post lunch coffees but will make sure to eat somewhere else where I can fuel up for lunch before hand.

Pleasant surroundings outside, unfortunately the food was not too a very high standard. Ham and piccalilli sandwich, ham tasteless (wafer thin and breaded, supermarket family pack springs to mind). Should have been advertised as a Piccalilli sandwich, Coffee was fine.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied but not too much choice. We opted for jacket potato and a flat bread. Fresh and well presented.

Been to this lovely pub for Sunday lunch many times, never disappoints. Everything about this place is positive from the lovely friendly staff who can't do enough for you. It is a welcome throwback to how a local pub used to be, a real gem, long may it continues.
